The 18 Best Restaurants in Tulsa, Oklahoma | Eater

"With Mr. Kim’s, Korean-born chef Ben Alexander, head of culinary operations for the McNellie’s Group, invites guests to sample a menu that reflects his personal story, from family dinners with his adoptive American parents to the culinary curiosity sparked during his time with the Navy in South Asia and the Pacific. Though the menu is not strictly Korean, guests are seated in around Korean-style tabletop grills, where they can prepare pork bulgogi or galbi short rib. Go for the omakase tasting menu to let the James Beard semifinalist chef decide on the details for you." - Jess Brent

I had such a great time tonight at Mr. Kim’s - it was my first time. Our server was great. Explained everything to us. The flavors were amazing, it was fun to do the cooking, great atmosphere!! I would definitely recommend! The only thing I didn’t like were the weird pictures on the back wall of legs and women’s bodies - totally didn’t fit the rest of the restaurant vibe. Some better decor on that back wall would be so much better - it was the first thing we saw as we walked in and both of us said WTH!!! (Not that it’s bad artwork, it just doesn’t fit)

What a unique and delicious experience! Mr Kim's great - wonderful, thoughtful service; delicious food; fun! My family had never eaten Korean BBQ in this style but the server explained things well enough for my young children to participate. The dishes from the kitchen were exceptional and grilling at the table was a lot of fun!

We went for our anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff was so kind, explained everything to us in the nicest way. The food was delicious, immersive, and fun. The drinks were delicious and unique. They even had mock tails! It wasn’t just dinner, it was an experience and we can’t thank you enough. Looking forward to many more visits. Thank you again.

This wasn’t just dinner. It was an experience. You should absolutely do the Omakase dinner. We did the House offering, and it was incredible. The three appetizers were amazing. The meat selections were top notch, prime cuts of meat. If I could give 10 stars for the service, I would. Our waiter, Hosea, was phenomenal. He made the night. He was so knowledgeable about the food and how to grill it perfectly. He provided absolutely top notch service, from the moment we arrived until we departed. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

A lot of food but it takes a while to get going. Unless you’re famished do not order multiple proteins per person as it’s overkill and you’ll be over spending.

We’ve had two opportunities to dine at Mr. Kim’s, this time we got the chance to share the experience with best friends and it was extraordinary as always! We had a reservation for a party of six, reservations are recommended. We’ve tried the Chef’s Special prior but this time our group selected different varieties of proteins and veggies for the table to share family style and it worked out perfectly! We all left extremely happy and grateful for a wonderful experience. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of their offerings. We highly recommend the Jjan’s Punch Bowl for groups or two people if you can handle it! Our favorites are their Waygu options and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, absolutely delish! We are always amazed with the bold and tasty flavors of every dish! We will be back next time!

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service! There was one time we just looked at our waiter from across the room and he immediately noticed and made sure to come and check on us! I really can't say enough good things. We had the omasake and it was AMAZING 👏 🤩! Christian was our waiter. He was so great.

Google
Phenomenal restaurant! Lots of options. Our server, Katie, made the whole process run smoothly, even though we had no idea what to do. We left very full, and very happy. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Mr Kim's continues to be one of our very favorite spots!! The fried rice is incredible, but we've started to venture to other appetizers and all have been amazing. We also think their happy hour is an incredible deal!! Some personal favorite entrees of mine is the spicy pork belly, strip, wagyu, and marinated cod!

Yelp
The restaurant was nicely decorated for Halloween with a hip vibe to it. We opted for the power hour because we weren't too hungry, but we heard great things about Mr. Kim's so we wanted to try. First came the side dishes: cucumber salad and red cabbage salad. Both had great flavor, but the cucumber salad was way too salty. The same was true of the house salad--too salty. Then came the meats - galbi and the pork were both delicious. Even though I don't use the lettuce wrap with the bean dip, I can tell the fermented bean was high quality. The broccolini was great too. The staff was very nice and the waitress even treated us with a ginger sorbet with honey that was quite a good palette cleanser! Although we had a pleasant time, it wasn't as good as the traditional KBBQ places I'm used to going. You come here for the vibe and I'm sure the omakase is great, but you'll be paying a premium for it. That said, you are limited to KBBQ choices in Tulsa, so I would recommend trying Mr. Kim's in this current market.

Yelp
Mr. Kim's is an Asian-inspired steakhouse located in downtown Tulsa known for its Korean barbeque. It is part of McNellie's Restaurant Group, which has eleven restaurant concepts in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Little Rock. Mr. Kim's is named after McNellie's Head of Culinary Operations. Benjamin Kim was also a 2023 James Beard Semifinalist for Outstanding Chef Southwest. The restaurant is a nice blend of modern design with Asian accents. I loved the dark vibe with the conversation-worthy photographs along the wall. Mr. Kim's features a Power Hour prix fixe menu every Tuesday between 4 and 6pm. The meal included the following: Mr. Kim's Fried Chicken For the Grill: Galbi (Beef Short Ribs), Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Broccolini Banchan: Potato Salad, Pickled Cucumber, Kimchi Steamed Rice, Ssamjang (Fermented Red Bean Paste), Lettuce Pineapple Whip from Rose Rock Microcreamery Lost Coz (frozen beverage made from Tito's, Soon Hari Citron Soju, Triple Sec, Cranberry, Key Lime, Hibiscus Syrup). The fried chicken was tasty, with its bold gochujang sauce with just enough crispiness. The banchan seemed a little limited in quantity and flavor. The pickled cucumber needed a little more pickling and the potato salad needed more seasoning. The kimchi was solid but not memorable. The pork bulgogi was well-marinated and the gochujang sauce was prominent. The broccolini was also well seasoned. Unfortunately, I did not taste the marinade on the short ribs. I appreciated having the option of lettuce wraps versus rice. The ssamjang was a tasty condiment. While refreshing, the flavors of the Lost Coz seemed muddled and I wanted more vodka included. The ice cream was refreshing and very tasty. I loved the vibe of Mr. Kim's and would come back to experience the Omakase options, the A5 Wagyu, and some of the non-frozen cocktails.

Yelp
Posh and delicious, what an awesome spot. The staff is really friendly, the black walnut old fashioned is fantastic, the food selection superb. Love the decor, and enjoyed the whole meal. The tartare is a definite must, and the spicy pork bulgogi is a crowd pleaser. We also received complimentary ginger lemon sorbet at the end which made for a perfect palette cleanser. Highly recommend this place for the meat lover (though there are veggie options to grill also!)

Yelp
Can I just say that I have apparently been living under a rock and Mr. Kim's was not even on my radar. Thanks to my better half for taking me on a surprise date! Loved everything about the experience. Our server, Christian, was great and explained everything. He answered all of our questions (even about the chili crisp pickles). If this is your first time, I would definitely order one of the pre-fix meals. We did the smaller one and it was so much food. Our appetizers (chef's choice) were outstanding---one tuna, one oyster, and one scallop--three appetizers (bites) total. The meats were totally tender and delicious and I loved the truffle/egg dipping sauce. Our dessert was included in the meal and was a small dip of Rose Rock chocolate/peppermint ice cream (the creamiest ever) and a small yuzu bar (with gold leaf). Please note that dessert off the menu can be quite spectacular. Our table neighbors ordered it and it could cause some embarrassment for some. It was a huge stick of cotton candy (lit up) with the desserts on the bottom serving plate. P.S. We ordered the fried kimchi rice as a side. Also so good. I would order that again in a heart beat along with the pork bulgogi but all the meats were delicious. Also, this is a relaxing place to be. Plan on a 2 hour dinner (because you're cooking your own)!

Yelp
Having spent a while in Tulsa, I understand why this gets such good reviews: the asian food scene is very weak overall. That said, if you are from out of town, and have had KBBQ in a major city, your expectations will likely not be met. For us, this was a puzzling experience. Some aspects of our meal (we ordered the house omakase), were excellent, and others were perplexingly...wrong. Banchan - Banchan (complimentary side dishes) are a staple of KBBQ and traditional Korean dining in general. Many go so far as to judge an entire restaurant by the banchan alone. By that metric, Mr. Kim's would not be a good restaurant. The brined micro-radish slices were a hard pass. The kimchi was poorly balanced. The potato salad did not have a good texture. The menu stated the wraps included shiso leaves, but there were none. The ssamjang, however, was spot on. No white rice. The amuse-bouches. The omakase itself was punctuated by a series of amuse-bouches. Each of them were excellent in their own way. They were, for us, the highlight of the experience. If the rest of the food had been half as good as these, we would have been quite pleased. The meat itself was good, but the portions were small (4oz) in comparison to other high end KBBQ places we have visited. Overall, good, but not great. Improving the banchan would go a long way.

Yelp
this is a restaurant that I would rather rate 10 stars because the food was delicious and the serving was absolutely wonderful. I would like to eat here every single night and I would love to have these exact employees be my servers at every restaurant that I go to. The interior and vibe in here is so awesome. It seems so high end because of their design and layout.

Yelp
We've been getting advertisements for their new power hour pris fix menu. Available daily 4pm-6pm. So glad we tried it today. The chicken wings were good. I don't typically like gochujong flavored wings, but these were well done. Very very crispy. Even when I do it myself at home, I can't get it this crunchy. Tried the brisket fried rice. Husband liked it. Huge portion. Not greasy at all. The pris fix includes a lot of food.

Yelp
They have great ambiance, food, service, and drinks, BUUUUT the food is a la carte. If you're used to AYCE KBBQ, the bill here will be a LOT more than you are used to. The food is good, however. I wish they served lettuce wraps instead of salad to make it more authentic, but it was still pretty good. This place is owned by the owners of McNellie's so everything is a little more commerical, less homely.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of having dinner at Mr. Kim's last night for date night. It was super fun & delicious. We did the baller so we had the opportunity to try 3 appetizers, several meats, and dessert. We also ordered the kimchi rice which was my absolute favorite. Everything was yummy. Service was great. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
The absolute most mid-level food for exorbitant prices. Terrible happy hour menu, "happy hour" drinks are basically regular prices for any other restaurant. Mixed drinks were the cheapest well vodka you ever tasted. Will not be coming here again.

Yelp
Outstanding service and very cool vibe. The food is good and the concept is unique in Tulsa. I'm impressed with the impressive Japanese Whisky selection. Price is a little high, but not out of line for this type of venue. They could add a few small touches for authenticity, like offering Oshibori before the meal and installing bidets in the bathroom and offering respect with some bows. You need more than some Japanese signs to replicate the experience.

Yelp
The food was very good you get to cook what you order I had the filet minion. Service was excellent and explained everything to me. Ambiance was nice.

Yelp
The ambiance is artsy and fun. Starting with the neon sign at the entry used as a perfect photo moment. Huge provocative pieces of art hang the walls. The food and service was amazing and fun to grill it yourself. I recommend the wagyu snowflake dumpling to start and the egg and butter rice with your protein.

Yelp
Good spot, Korean cook your own. Good quality, good cocktails. Walking distance from Hotel Indigo.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner before heading to St. Vitus, and it was perfect! The vibe is cool and edgy, great for a night out with friends or a date. We grilled beef bulgogi, pork belly, shrimp (so amazing!!) and some veggies. Cocktails were solid and strong, prices were by far most reasonable of any KBBQ spot I've been, and our server was super friendly/funny. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Visited Mr. Kim's for the first time Thursday evening and I absolutely loved it. Me and my boyfriend loved the atmosphere, the dark lighting, the music and we had great service as well. The food was delicious and it was a very unique experience. I was recommended by a friend and I am going to recommend this place to others. 10 out of 10!

Yelp
Ahhh the fabulous Mr Kim's. definitely a treat and experience visiting this "fancy" sister restaurant to Yokozuna. It did not disappoint! We made reservations three weeks prior and glad we did. The experience was all around, unique, positive, and flavorful! Everything from entering the restaurants to leaving the restaurant was fantastic. This location used to be that cool local shop with T-shirts and earrings and such, and I think it changed storefronts a bit, so it's nice to see this place done up like it is at Mr. Kim's. Definitely must visit and have this experience. Check my photos for lots more details!

Yelp
Drove to Tulsa to try Mr. Kim's. Another yelper actually told me about this place, and I was curious since I'm Korean. We came Sunday morning for "Dim Sunday's" which is something new they started offering. Dim sum is from 10-2pm every Sunday, and is walk-in only. We got here around 12:30, and it was not busy at all. I think it was just us and another table. Anyways, we were seated promptly and ordered the kimchi Bloody Mary which came out fast and was delicious! High recommend if you love bloody Mary's. For food my guy ordered the pork soup dumplings and pork dumplings. He loved the soup dumplings and didn't care for the regular pork potstickers. I don't eat pork so, I can't comment. I ordered the eggs & foie, shrimp har gow, house dim sum which was kimchi dumplings when we went (this item I'm assuming changes weekly), and egg drop. The eggs & foie was yummy, but I wished it was just kimchi flavored without the curry, shrimp har gow tasted like a shrimp shu mai. I have no idea what the difference is since, I'm Korean and not Chinese. The egg soup was delicious, and my absolute favorite was the house dim sum which was kimchi and it was so yummy! I hope they make this a permanent item in their dim sum menu. Overall, the service was super friendly, and this was the best dim sum I've had in all of Oklahoma. I live in the OKC metro, and dim sum in the city is not even close to how yummy Mr. Kim's is in Tulsa. Can't wait to come back to try their regular dinner menu!

Yelp
Wow is all I can say, this kind of quality and flavor was not expected at a random spot in Tulsa!! I have been to quite a few Korean BBQ places in LA and Orange County...so I consider myself pretty well versed in KBBQ. Mr Kims is a phenomenal restaurant that takes KBBQ and elevates it into downtown esque vibes but leaves an authentic flavor profile. I went with the Galbi Bone In, Pork Belly, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Prime Brisket and Kimchi Fried Rice. Galbi was the star of the show. A bit sweeter but a nicely cut Short Rib that was quite tender and flavorful hit the grill well. The grills here have a good temp and they give you a block of wagyu fat to coat the grill so it doesn't stick. Some of the best flavored Galbi I've had! Pork Bulgogi - Phenomenal flavor. Great slice level. Brisket - pretty standard for brisket, flavor was good. Pork Belly - Good marinated flavor and piece grilled well. Kimchi Fried Rice - Holy cow this was insanely good. Delicious short grain rice perfectly cooked, kimchi umami and little cuts of steak in the rice was a good add in. Highly recommended this spot in Tulsa!!!

Yelp
Mr. Kims, a part of the McNellie's restaurant group and led by Executive Chef Ben Alexander, gained recognition with a James Beard Award nomination in 2023. Despite initial hesitations, I decided to give it a chance. The atmosphere is sophisticated and modern, with a Korean barbecue influence evident in the sleek black granite tables and gold chopsticks. Service, notably from Lisa, demonstrated a level of excellence akin to Michelin-star dining, with impeccable attention to detail and extensive culinary knowledge. Shawn's plum, hibiscus, and plum sugar cocktail left a lasting impression. Opting for the Omakase menu, I embarked on a culinary journey curated by the chef, starting with an oyster and Kaluga caviar, followed by a flawlessly executed scallop with miso cream sauce. The shrimp toast with kimchi pimento cheese sauce and Wagyu snowflake dumplings were exceptional. The steak tartare, accompanied by Kaluga caviar and fried milk bread, was both visually stunning and delicious. Accompaniments such as Korean potato salad and house-made kimchi enhanced the main courses, which included local and imported A5 Wagyu, bulgogi pork and beef, and miso-infused hamachi. Desserts featured ice cream, lemon tart, and raspberry cotton candy, providing a whimsical conclusion to the meal. Overall, Mr. Kims exceeded expectations with its outstanding food, service, and ambiance, solidifying its position as one of Tulsa's premier dining destinations. Overall 90/100

Yelp
The service was amazing! We made reservations and I highly recommend doing so as dinner may take you an hour or longer depending on what you decide. The ambiance is perfect! The food was delicious, Everything we had was just so perfectly put together. YOU MUST GO!!!

Yelp
Best service and food experience in Tulsa!!! Only about 12 tables so it didn't get too loud or crowded inside either. 10/10 experience

Yelp
Mr. Kim's is definitely an experience. It's a smaller restaurant so I recommend a reservation in advance to ensure you're able to get a table. The atmosphere is trendy but not well lit. If you have depth perception issues or trouble seeing in the dark, I don't recommend this restaurant, at least not at night. We had a 7:00 reservation for a table of 6. We were promptly greeted by our server but, as the night went on, the server became harder to track down for assistance. Other than that, the server was informative and helped prepare us for our first time experiencing Korean BBQ. The food portions are about 4 ounces per serving. Our table began with an appetizer of the dumplings (5 in the serving), then ordered a bowl of Kimchi fried rice and sour cream udon noodles. The noodles could probably be their own dish for someone who doesn't want to partake in the BBQ but the serving size of the rice was enough for those in the table to have repeat servings. We ordered brisket, boneless ribs, pork bulgogi, and eggplant as well. The ribs and pork were very flavorful! Eggplant seemed a little past its point of ripeness but not enough to significantly alter the flavor. We were treated to a cotton candy and sorbet dessert to finish off. The lemon sorbet is a very strong flavor resembling lemongrass more than citrusy like a lemon. It received mixed reviews from the table. Overall, it was enjoyable. While it's a smaller, more intimate restaurant, it doesn't really have many options for those who may not want to spend a lot of money so it's not encouraged for those who are hoping for a food experience on a budget.

Yelp
Good Korean food in Tulsa?? Yes - at Mr. Kim's! Curious, we found ourselves in a sleek, dimly lit interior while a waitress patiently explained the menu. As we basked in the glow of our table grill, we feasted on excellent banchan, butter fried rice (with an egg of course!), wagyu dumplings with crispy rice, and all kinds of grilled goodness. Not bad, Tulsa, not bad. Is it as good as the grills lighting up Annandale? Not sure, but I know I'll be going back if I ever visit Tulsa again.

Yelp
Friday night reservations at 730. Seated on time, and ended up dining for two hours with my favorite. Mr. Kim's is a subtle entrance that doesn't scream here I am. Inside is moody and dark, a bit loud at times, and well appointed for the smaller sized place. Tables are placed at a good distance to not feel like you are on top of eachother, still a struggle to talk across the table at times due to the noise level. Our waiter, Christian, was very accommodating for us new comers and explained all of the food, drinks and experiences we would be going through. He shared tips and tricks to get us through the night. We chose to really engulf ourselves in the food, so between my hubs and I we got The House and The Baller which are chef selections for appetizers, meats, seafood, wagyu and deserts. With this we felt we would know what we would love to get the next time. 3 appetizers for The House and 4 for The Baller (which had the steak tartare - which was a main driver for me to go there in the first place). We shared the 4th app so we could both enjoy it. For all that was presented, the Tuna & Foie along side the Tartare were our favorites. The main meal had delicious House ssamjang & banchan (which means small side dishes to serve with the meat). And The House presented 5 2oz pieces of meat, The Baller presented 8 1oz pieces that included a slice of cod of the fish selection and two pieces of wagyu (one local sourced and one A5). Again my hubs and I shared the wagyu for tasting and he skipped the cod due to allergy. Between cooking all of the others slices of meat and the wagyu, Christian, our waiter, changed the grill out and then cooked them for us to our liking. The finish of the wagyu was superb. Rich, buttery, delicate but so flavorful. All of the food was amazing, and worth the experience of getting a full immersion of what can be offered there. We will return, just to now know what we will hone in on to order specific to our tastes. I'm a Mr. Kim's fan for sure. A nice change to just having a steak with typical sides. I loved the experience of cooking on the Korean grill at the table and it made for fun conversation with my love.

Yelp
Food and drinks very nice and restaurant atmosphere. Reservation processing and follow up excellent. HOWEVER, service is disorganized and inconsistent. Behavior of staff, wonky at best. Failure to bring drinks and forgetting ordered items too often for this one dinner to even count. Some women came to our table (not sure who she was but assumed the manager) and asked how it was going and we explained what was lacking and all we got was her excuse of having to handle two restaurants at once. Not our problem. For the money spent I expected better and not excuses. Our assigned waitress was pleasant enough but extremely forgetful to a point it was odd behavior. Overly apologetic to a point of awkwardness. More going on than I could express here. Will I go back? Hard to say. Food was yummy and the experience of the grill and interactions with our guests was fun. Staff did remove two drinks from tab to compensate for poor service which was appreciated.

Yelp
Ordered the House Omakase and the Kimchi fried rice. Everything was good. My only complaint was the waiter was very pushy to try and cook the food for us. I expressed to the waiter multiple times that my wife and I did not need him to show us how to took the food. However, the waiter still proceeded to initially cook three food items and then continuously come by and check the food while passively committing about how we were cooking everything.

Yelp
Fantastic dining experience. My date and I came in pretty close to closing and they were still very accommodating. Thank you Mr. Kim's!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a fantastic time! Our waitress was so knowledgeable and she really made it a fantastic experience. The wagyu was delicious! Highly recommend MR. Kim's!

Yelp
Simply incredible - and more innovative than your typical KBBQ joint because creative takes on standard fare you would find at a normal/standard KBBQ place abound. Take for example their crudo appetizer, which was exceptional. They side dishes or bonchon are also excellent. You can also choose combos of meat that give you just the right amount without feeling overly stuffed - I selected the wagyu steak (or maybe it was filet mignon), shrimp and larger mushrooms. They also gave me a complimentary dessert which was flavored like pumpkin spice which knocked my socks off. A definite must-visit in Tulsa. Hope they expand to OKC!!!

Yelp
Came here for dim sum on Sunday and the food was good, love the soup dumplings but did not love the pork dumplings much had to force myself to finish it which is not a good thing. It was clean inside I liked the large picture with the Korean lady laying on the couch. Over all the other food was enjoyable such as the bloody Mary, Kim Chi dumplings, and Korean style rice. Will try and make it back to Tulsa for the dinner some day.

Yelp
Even as a party of eight and separated at two different table stations, we still very much enjoyed our time - so happy we have Korean BBQ in Tulsa. NOTE: I would follow the standard max recommendation of a six top for the best experience. For starters, order the dumplings. You will not be disappointed. Chef makes these fresh in house. Such a tasty balance of moist dumplings held together by a pan fried crisp. When it came time for our meat selection, the crowd favorites were the strip steak and brisket as well as the bulgogi. Be sure to layer up with the fat because the grates tend to get charred pretty quickly causing the bulgogi to stick. Our favorite sides were the shishito peppers and the butter rice. Something as simple as rice cooked with egg and butter made for the tastiest wraps. I've even considered going back just for this. As far as desert is concerned, the lemon grass sorbet was a 40-60 table split. The flavor is very strong and a bit piney. But it's on the house, so worth a nibble to cleanse the pallet. 10/10 recommend visiting for a unique and intimate shared experience. Again, so happy to have this in Tulsa.

Yelp
As someone who's had KBBQ in LA, NYC, and Chicago, I thought Mr. Kim's had a refreshing new take on traditional favorites! The atmosphere was modern and the service was excellent. They did a great job putting a fusion spin on Korean cuisine while keeping the flavors true to their roots. The cocktails were reminiscent of tiki drinks and incorporated interesting twists. The chili crab fingers had an amazing savory flavor and were super fun to eat. We ordered the boneless galbi ribs and spicy pork bulgogi. The a la carte meats come in 4 oz portions and with all the fixin's. I was pleasantly surprised to see ssamjang and lettuce wraps on the menu as some kbbq places don't even have it! They brought a piece of wagyu fat to lubricate the grill and you have the option for your server to grill the meat or to grill it yourself. The meats were great quality and had amazing flavor - the marinades complimented the meat without overpowering them. The banchan were house-made and the kimchi had a fresh flavor that went well with the heavier meats. My personal favorite was the scallion kimchi. The star of the show was the kimchi fried rice, it was one of the best we've ever had!! It had an amazing wok-fried flavor and all of the elements came together very well. Overall everything was excellent and if you're looking for a nice date night spot or a fun new experience Mr. Kim's is the place to try!

Yelp
In a nutshell... go here right now! Had a great dinner here tonight, Lisa was our server and she was amazing! Food was incredible, A5 waygu was delicious af, along with everything else we tried : pork belly, short rib, tons of veggies, side dishes were on point to. Potato salad was so good, Kimchi was great. We got butter rice and another kind of rice with steak which was incredible. Cool vibes and cooking at the table was so fun. Would 100% come back next time I'm in Tulsa

Yelp
Reservation for dinner date with friends. I knew what a Korean BBQ was because I went to one in LA. Great cuts of meat, great hospitality but House and Baller was a bit overpriced in my opinion compared to other places I've been to. If it's your first time and you can afford $75/person then get House. If you've been before, picky eater, or on a budget just do a la carte meat items and share the friend rice. 4 people, House x 3 and 3 cocktails with a la carte filet and rice was $350 without tip. Also Matcha (server) was awesome but there was a delay in starting our service. We were 2nd table to be seated after they opened and nearly 8 tables have their server and drinks before we even met our server.

Yelp
We wanted a fun night out with another couple, nothing too stuffy but still nice. Mr. Kim's was perfect! The food was some of the best I've ever eaten and the service was impeccable. We decided to go with the Omakase Baller Chef Tasting experience because we were celebrating some big things and although pricey, it was such a fun experience. We were dazzled with app after app each seeming like it couldn't get better and it just kept going! The tuna tartare topped with caviar, the steak tartare with milk bread, the crab dish I can't recall the name of, each were so rich and flavorful. I'd go back just for the apps! Our table chef was top notch. He explained the best techniques then let our guys take the reigns. Both men in our party are excellent on the grill and had so much fun cooking the different meats. The accompaniments were so flavorful and mixed well together on lettuce wraps. The kimchi and scallion slaw were favorites at our table and we got refills on both. As for the meat selections - yes please! The Chef's cuts were all delicious. We tried lettuce wraps with the pork, different combos for the fish and ate some of the most flavorful red meat ever. To finish the evening, our table chef returned to cook the different A5 Wagyu and the Cattleman's Wagyu. I've had a lot of good steak but those two, basted in beef tallow, we're something special for sure! Oh, I can't leave out the kimchi fried rice because wow! Also, the key lime pie was a nice treat to finish off the meal. If you're looking for a unique dining experience that will blow your mind on flavors - Mr. Kim's will not disappoint.

Yelp
Mr. Kim's is a godsend for Tulsa foodies. The first true Korean barbecue restaurant in Tulsa, the caliber of ingredients does not disappoint. Its menu offers two differently-priced omakase sets as well as a-la-carte. Wagyu... need I say more? Except to mention that gluten-intolerant, paleo, keto, Whole30, and even pescatarian diners will be in heaven along with us good ol' carnivores. A+ My advice if your pocket allows for it - go for the "Baller" omakase and settle in for a straight up feast.

Yelp
I took a friend here for their birthday as a special event, and it was good. The food was good and so was the service. Drinks were great! We just both felt like it was priced too high for what it was considering we did the cooking.

Yelp
The food was excellent. There wasn't anything we ate that was not exceptional. Service was amazing as well. The drinks were really good. The egg and butter rice was good, and I wish I could post a photo of it before the egg was busted but the woman who delivered the dish took upon herself to grab the spoons, bait the yolk, and stir it up before I could do anything about it. It might seem trivial to be upset by this but why would someone do that?! Also, having someone standing there at your table grilling your food is somewhat awkward when your trying to eat and have enjoy conversation with friends. It's not like going to Osaka where you're separated from your chef by a giant grill. They're right there, up close and personal.

Yelp
TLDR: Great date night, romantic lighting, flavorful dishes. My bf & I were on our way to Yokozuna but stumbled in here & we're so glad we did! They opened 3 weeks ago & I see them staying for awhile. Only issue for some would be the low, romantic lighting romantic which can make reading the menu more challenging. We ordered the snowflake wagyu dumplings & ate them before I could snap a picture. These were an incredible appetizer! We ordered the egg & butter rice plus the kimchi rice along with our spicy bulgogi & prime ribeye meat choices. Each meat was delicious & flavorful & we enjoyed cooking it ourselves. The complimentary vegan sorbet at the end was the perfect refreshing dessert. Would definitely recommend for a date night or a fun evening out in downtown Tulsa!

Yelp
In short salt ruins their good service and good quality meat. anything marinated is way too salty. I know kimichi is supposed to be salty, but I think the chef is over doing it. If they don't put that much salt in their kimichi fry rice, it would be so tasty.
