First off, we appreciated that the fries weren’t oily or so salty they could dehydrate a horse. They actually tasted fresh. Fresh enough, in fact, that this became our little one’s first-ever French fry. He demolished it like it was the greatest thing he’d ever encountered. To be fair, it was also his first fast-food experience, so the bar was pureed veggies upto this point. But still, a very memorable moment.
Unlike a lot of places, what you get actually matches the picture. No bait N switch where you order something beautiful and receive a sad version that looks like it was run over by a reindeer.
That said, I did expect a bit more overall. The burger patty was pretty bland. That might be a plus for some people, but it was also on the dry side. The chicken, on the other hand, was juicy according to my wife. The fries, again, not oily, not overloaded with salt, and cooked properly. Golden, not burnt, which is great. But they were also dry.
I usually love crinkle-cut fries because they’re crispy on the outside and soft inside, and that combo just wasn’t there this time. That said, this may very well be intentional, they were cooked evenly and correctly, just not in the way I personally prefer.
The service was great, pleasant with a smile and real. Not a joker smile powered by coffee and exhaustion. The food was brought to the table with a smile, and we were provided with enough time to get this situated. The place was clean, and even after a big group left, the staff rushed over to get it back into shape.
Will we'll definitely try another location just to see if this was maybe a once off the car ends with the food.
