The staff are friendly, but unfortunately there’s little understanding or respect for Ukrainian cuisine.
I ordered Chicken Kyiv — an iconic Ukrainian dish — and it was the worst version I’ve ever had: thick panko crust, the wrong cut of chicken (thigh instead of breast), and dry meat that has nothing in common with a real Kyiv.
For £25, expectations are naturally higher. The mashed potatoes lacked proper butter, cream, and the right potato variety.
It’s a shame, because Ukrainian cuisine should be something foreigners discover and fall in love with — not an embarrassment like this.
