The 6 Best Peach Cobblers In Atlanta, Ranked

"There’s a reason the Peach Cobbler Cafe has multiple locations in Atlanta—because you can pop in and out for a soul food plate filled with delicious homestyle classics. But are you really doing it right if you don’t order the restaurant’s namesake dish? The peaches are juicy and a touch of cinnamon adds some warm spicy flavor without overpowering the dish. The dough is heavy enough to hold the dessert together, but it’s not so dense that you’re chewing for an eternity. " - juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard

The Atlanta Cornbread Power Rankings

"If you’re judging these room temperature, pre-sliced slabs by their extremely average appearance, don’t. The super moist, sticky-sweet bread is worth every ounce of effort it takes to unwrap it from its cellophane chamber. Just prepare for a lap full of crumbs since the delicate cornbread breaks up like a ’90s boy band." - jacinta howard, nina reeder, juli horsford

The 12 Best Soul Food Restaurants In Atlanta

"Don’t let the name fool you—Peach Cobbler Cafe shouldn’t be dismissed as another dessert shop. Does your average bakery serve ribs, fried chicken, collards, and cobbler? Nope, didn’t think so. When hunger comes on hard and fast and a basic sandwich won’t cut it, this Buckhead soul food cafe saves the day with super satisfying, stick-to-your-bones homestyle food served quickly. The entrees, like their oxtails with dark brown gravy or tender ribs drenched with barbecue sauce, will run you a pretty penny (around $16 to $28). But you’ll be happy, and you’ll be full." - demarco williams, jacinta howard

Peach Cobbler Café - Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Don’t let the name fool you—Peach Cobbler Cafe shouldn’t be dismissed as another dessert shop. Does your average bakery serve ribs, fried chicken, and collards? Nope, didn’t think so.  When hunger comes on hard and fast–and a basic sandwich won’t cut it—this Buckhead soul food cafe saves the day with super satisfying, stick-to-your-bones homestyle food served really, really quick. After you land a parking spot in The Shops of Buckhead strip mall lot on Peachtree (IFYKYK), you’ll get in line to order from a wide selection of entrees, ranging from perfectly-cooked salmon to ribs slathered in tangy bbq sauce. A big LED-screen showcases that menu, but the faithful regulars on their lunch break already know what they want, and, if you’re in line ahead of them, they will appreciate you figuring out your sh*t quickly, too. Most of the food is already prepared and scooped out cafeteria style into plastic to-go containers, which gets hungry customers out the door pretty quickly. There’s no dining space inside, so grab a seat at one of the two round patio tables outdoors, or just chow down in the parking lot where you can zen out ahead of a very painful Peachtree at rush hour. Peach Cobbler Cafe gives you all the nostalgic feels of Atlanta’s old school “Meat and Three” cafes, all the entrees come with two sides, plus a near-cake-like cornbread muffin. And just like those old soul kitchens, their sides, like collard greens, green beans, and cabbage, are seasoned well enough to eat as is, but there’s always hot sauce on tap. And the mac and cheese is just as much of a highlight as the main. By the time you dig into dessert, the peach cobbler might just be the forkful to transport you back to Old ‘90s, early 2000s Atlanta. But before we go too deep down memory lane, just note Peach Cobbler Cafe definitely hits you with the new school prices—a single platter will run you $16 to $28 and you’ll spend $8 on the peach cobbler. Food Rundown Big Al’s Oxtail Dinner They may not be fall-off-the bone tender, but these beefy oxtails in a savory brown gravy deliver on taste and give just enough meat on the bone to not feel cheated. Also, the platter portion is generous enough to share or save a little for later. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Rib Dinner There is no shortage of sweet, tangy barbeque sauce on these ribs. We’re talking get a bucket and a mop for this wet ass pork. Keeping your hands clean is the only hard part here; the meat is juicy, tender, and easy to tear into. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Blackened Salmon You get a pretty hearty serving of well-seasoned blackened salmon, which is the only thing here cooked to order. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Mac and Cheese This feels like the thick, baked mac and cheese served at those special after-sermon church lunches, where it scoops out easily and stays put nicely in the corner of your styrofoam plate. It might not appear in our dreams, but it’s a solid (no pun intended) mac and cheese. The church lunch committee would approve. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Peach Cobbler You also get the feels of the church luncheon cobbler. To put it more plainly, we enjoy it. There’s a three-one ratio of peaches to crust, which we’d like to deem the Georgia golden ratio." - Nina Reeder

The restaurant smelled amazing when I walked in, and I was excited to try something new since I’d never had turkey wings before. Unfortunately, the meat appeared a bit pink, so I chose not to finish it. The mac & cheese and collard greens were also too salty for my taste. On a positive note, the banana pudding was delicious. While I appreciated the experience, I’m not sure I’d return.

Google
The southern food here was a hit. Really came for the peach cobbler but was more excited to try the entrees here. The peach 🍑 cobbler was ok, a bit sweeter than other places I’ve tried. But the oxtail was pretty bomb 💣. The meatloaf was ok. The Mac and mash potato was fire 🔥 too.

Google
Unfortunately I came for the peach cobbler and it wasn’t my cup of tea. Not saying it was horrible but it just wasn’t for me. I had the catfish with a side of Mac and yams. The yams were delicious. The atmosphere was nice.

Good place to experience Georgia Southern Home cooking. They have peach cobbler... yay!

There’s nothing here that was worth the $63.00 that I sent. Disclaimer: I am from the catfish capital (Belzoni, MS) so this freshly fried catfish that was soggy, no seasoning and filled with grease was a CATFISH VIOLATION!! I couldn’t even eat the fish… the food from the hot bar may be best if it’s when they first open. I went about 315pm everything was dried out except the fried whole wings. The dressing was okay (would have been better with cranberry sauce but they were out TODAY). The Mac & cheese, collard greens wasn’t too bad. But it’s nothing to write home about. I’d like to know how they arrived at their pricing? I’m 100% sure that the product cost, production time by staff, and serving size was not factored into these prices. The peach cobbler was cool (it’s in the name so it should taste fine). I’m not sure why it’s @ $9.00 (same with the banana pudding). There’s nothing about these basic banana pudding ingredients and serving size equates to $9.00. So after spending $63.00 I was only able to taste the sides but not eat my actual meal (catfish). So money wasted at another Atl establishment. And I’m not going to begin to discuss the cornbread. And these were TO GO PRICES!!! Most SBO ask for support but you shouldn’t want support. You should want loyal patrons who eagerly and happily return to your establishment not bc it’s black owned but bc the customer service failures are low, the quality of the food is high and the value that one is paying makes economical sense.

I ate at Miss Ruby’s peach cobbler Café yesterday took my family. We had the best Turkey wings I ever had in my life. The peach cobbler was also the best 10 out of 10. The prices was very reasonable. I love the special buy one get 1/2 off. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who have not ate there yet❤️❤️❤️

Google
My opinion is $40 worth of canned food. My chicken was very salty but somehow lacked flavor. Most of the food was salty. My husband likes salty food so if that is your thing OK. They seemed ready to leave since most of the food sterno trays were almost empty. However the close time was over on hour away. I tried to be conversational with the server but he was very monotone with me and didn't know the prices without looking at the menu. I also watched 2 people come at separate times and ask about a job. Each received an application left the restaurant and threw the application in the trash. Clearly they already accessed that they didn’t want to work there.

Google
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT THE FOOD YOU ORDERED TO BE CORRECT. I never rate things but I feel so robbed right now that I had to come here and attempt to save any pitiful souls for wasting their money here. Let me start by saying this place is a scam and an affront to the service industry. I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, lemonade, and sweet potato pie. What I received was anything but. I got rice instead of mashed potatoes. I'll add that it is so overcooked I could make a sculpture with the mush on this plate. The meatloaf was in a pile just thrown about. The cornbread turned to crumbs as soon as I opened it. I was given 3 small bottles instead of a half gallon lemonade. And the cherry on top, I ordered pie and received store bought lemon cake. Not once was I notified of a change. They took it upon themselves to pick my substitutes for me. All this terrible service and mediocre food could also be brought to your door for $60. Do not waste your time like I did please. There are so many other small businesses that serve amazing food around, avoid this trash at all costs. You will walk away hungry and frustrated. The weight of your empty pocket will feel a whole lot worse after all that let me tell you.

Excellent food every single time! I am a customer at least once a week and it's on a Friday or Sunday!

Yelp
I would recommend you find another location to eat. Ambiance- Nice location. Nice decor, little area to sit and WAIT for your food not to eat. Seating is on the outside. In Ga 100 degree weather I don't Recommened. Service- I want to give the young man at the register a shoutout because he was the ONLY polite person in that restaurant. We waited over 30 min in line behind a total of 7 people. The men who were fixing the food showed you every frustration they had while fixing your food. They kept making plates and pilling them up to the point food got mixed up. Food was everywhere on the line, no cornbread was available in which you suppose to have it with your order. Food- the lemonade was TOO sweet, when I opened the bottle my hands were instantly sticky. (Add water) the rice was under cooked and the macaroni and cheese tasteless. The cornbread crumbled instantly. The peach cobbler was so upsetting and expensive. It was just mush. IF YOU LIKE CRUST IN YOUR COBBLER DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. The turkey leg was actually my favorite. It was very tender and fell off the bone and the mushroom gravy on top added enough salt.

Yelp
IKYFL! I ordered a two piece whiting dinner on uber eats and this is what yall sent! Really!? This hard, stale, thin fish! Wow. Unbelievable

Yelp
First no one answered the phone before we drove an hour to get here. And if I had known there was no inside table I would not have come. I came for the chitterlings, ( they had none ) if you had answered the phone I would have known that. All they had was in the hot trays and looked like it had been sitting since yesterday. I'm here from California. So, I'm disappointed. So, to Mary Mac's we go, SMH!!!!!

Yelp
It was our first time having this spot and we saw it on tik tok and decided to give it a try. We are from out of town and we were on a mini vacay before the Xmas holiday. We wanted some nice southern food. So we came it was so so it could have been better the fish could have been cooked more, the mac/cheese was so so a bit runny and greens were good. Customer service was good. Friendly..maybe next time I come back to Atlanta I will try them again to see if anything has changed.

Yelp
View the pictures. They speak more words than I could ever. I typically come for the Peach Cobbler, my favorite dessert, but do get the dinners at times.

Yelp
I ordered ribs, Potatoe Salad, Yams I was so disappointed, ribs had no sauce, horrible salty and tasted old. Potatoe salad horrible horrible water and tased just nasty. Yams was okay not on point like normally. I ORDER FROM THE HOSPITAL AND CAFE IS CLOSE NOW SO NO LUNCH AND DINNER FOR ME! I will stick to the fried chicken and Mac n cheese had that before and it was FIRE. I called and the person I spoke with said he just made the sauce but he didn't put none on those ribs. really disappointed and hungry. Crystal

Yelp
I was looking forward to some good southern home cooking and I was a little disappointed. I was first shocked to find out that you can't really dine in. They do have a few outside tables but I haven't used them. To the food. Not bad but not great either. They use some strange flavoring in all of their food. So you can't escape the taste in their sides and main dishes. I had the oxtails which was a good portion but very expensive. One smothered turkey wing, two sides and corn bread is $22.09. Oxtail dinner, two sides and cornbread is $37.69. Three veggie plate with cornbread is $15.59. More sides are al la carte $7.79 each. A slice of sweet potato pie is $10.39 and I think very average to puny in size. You can purchase a whole sweet potato pie for $37. 69. The interior is bright and the line looks clean enough. Even though there was a head chef on site, the two pork chops in the pan looked burnt, dried out, and IMHO should have been taken off the line. I'll take Piccadilly anytime for a place to sit down, enjoy some southern goodies and have dessert for a fraction of the cost. Save your money, go to Mary Macs or any other place advertising southern vittles. No reason to go back.

Yelp
I'm disappointed in the food that i ordered online and picked up. I got the fried fish plate and regular rib tips. The rib tips were tough, like they were old or had been sitting in heat all day. I asked for Mac and cheese but got dressing and I don't eat dressing. The fish wasn't good either. They gave no bread and no Tarter sauce as requested. The Mac and cheese was too wet, soupy like...as if maybe they took it out the oven too early. If this was a dine in restaurant, this food would have been going back! I won't be back.

Yelp
I visited the peach cobbler Café for the first time on October 13. I have a listen to the radio advertisement over and over and a coworker at work told me how good the food was so my boyfriend and his daughter and I went to have dinner there. Sorry to say the food was not good. I was very disappointed. We all had the same opinion. The yams were not homemade like I thought they were straight out of the can and you could tell a few other things were I had the turkey wings, mac & cheese, and greens I took two baby bites and threw my food in the garbage. I spent a waste of almost $90. None of us really ate the food. We literally left and two hours later had to get food somewhere else. Don't get me wrong. I'm not into bashing anyone or their establishment but the food really was terrible, like I said, I was very disappointed.

Yelp
Holy moley! This little hole in the wall is NO JOKE!!!! In short, it slappps!!! This is located right in the same plaza as my waxing place so I was like, "Hey, i've seen this place here for 2+ years.. let me just see what the fuss is about" BEST decision ever! Walking in, you'll need to get in line, think.. Chipotle style. No seating and there are some "ready" food items, like ribs, ox tail and the "to order" items like fried fish. I order the "ready" items but seems like the "to order" items did not take long as well. SERVICE:: there was a very nice man taking our order by the front of the line, super nice staff, cashier was super nice too. just be sure to check your bag prior to leaving so you can make sure you get all your items because they are so busy in there FOOD:: Ox Tail - massive portion, over a bed of rice, which they didnt mention on the menu! flavor was so rich and decedant. Must order!! Ribs - not the most tender i've ever had however the bbq sauce flavor is so finger licking good and was priced fairly. Broc. Chedder Side- so cheesy, so yummy. Doesnt taste fake or processed!! Mac & Cheese - YUMMY!! good quality i loved it! Corn bread- dusted with sugar, super tasty Overall, SOUL Food is so comforting and im obsessed!!!!!!

Yelp
What in the figgity fuq was this? I blame myself... for only checking the menu and not the reviews. This establishment overprices their food and sells you the lowest quality ingredients. That's the only way this business survives. Ain't no way people paying $40 for government ground turkey!!! That ish could not have been turkey, I ate half due to hunger and force feeding because I didn't want to waste $40!!! The food here is to be avoided, it's basura. The collards were extra salty, all menu items are not stocked and the peach cobbler was some mushy, gooey, barely sweet waste of space. I will be actively looking for someone in need to give this mess to.
google avatar

Yelp
The portions could be a little larger for the price that your paying . Flavor was great

Yelp
We went there they day it opened and I knew right then it wouldn't last six months. We cook a lot of Southern food at home so we were pretty familiar with the menu. The prices were unbelievable; for two people the bill was over $65 and there was no place to eat. Sure enough, six months later the place was closed.

Yelp
After living in Buckhead, thought I'd give this neighborhood restaurant a try. It was rated #7 for top 10 best souls food places to try so here we are on a Monday afternoon. It's not a sit down kind of place but they do have a couple of tables outside. You order and then wait for your meal to be packaged up in containers. It is super pricey for soul food but I will say they do overfill the containers with a lot of food. So I ordered three meals. One oxtail and brown gravy served over rice and had Mac and cheese and green beans. Then two fried chicken meals with Mac and cheese and sweet corn on one order and collard greens and cabbage on the other. The collard greens were SUPER salty that I could not eat more than a couple of bites but the cabbage and Mac and cheese were pretty good. You could definitely taste the butter in the veggies. I was a little confused between the fried chicken meal and the full 3 piece wing meal. I felt like we got the wings rather than actual fried chicken (breasts, drums and thighs). I was hoping to get some decent juicy fried chicken but the one thigh was greasy and and the wings were flavorless and dry. I did like that the chicken did not have a ton of breading on it. We ordered a lemonade jug and it was good and very sweet. I had to dilute it but it was good as a cocktail later that evening. The corn bread was okay and had sugar on it. I won't be giving this place another try. They had a decent crowd, lots of pick up orders. It was either super salty or not flavorful. I know everyone's palate is different but for me, I didn't have that "wow, this was really a yummy meal" satisfaction unfortunately. It was a lot of food for the money and we threw more than half of it away. These three meals plus a half gallon of lemonade was $90 and was not worth the price. I could have split a nice steak meal for this price and it would have been delicious and I would have felt like I got my moneys worth but not here.

Yelp
This establishment is amazing!!. The staff were very hospitable! Upbeat and welcoming!. I'm from PA originally and moved far west, I've had food from all over and in between, this food took me back to my childhood!! It was like having a home cooked meal from my grandmother whom is no longer with us! I had the smothered turkey leg over white rice, string beans and yams, with peach cobbler. My boyfriend had collard greens, baked Mac & fried pork chops. Everything.......EVERYTHING was good!! I will fight over a plate of this food!!
google avatar

Yelp
Got a lunch special 2pc chicken with fries. Server told me they didn't have fries, so I could pick a side. Overall, 3/10 experience because of the small food portion for the hefty price. The chicken and mac n cheese were hot, and the service was fast. However, I witnessed her turn away an UberEats driver for some reason, even though it's advertised on the store front. Store looked very clean, despite their health inspection was only a 92. Sad that I spent $15.21 on 2 tiny chicken wings and a scoop of salty mac n cheese. Will never be returning to this restaurant :(

Yelp
An excellent place. We enjoyed everything that we had there, plus the service was wonderful. Also the meals were big portions. I will return.

Yelp
I was hoping that the negative reviews were not true. My daughter warned me that she and her fiancé tried it and it was disgusting. Last night, my son ventured out to get some ribs with cabbage, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. We live within walking distance and I was in a meeting so he went over there and made a purchase. When I got home, I decided to taste his leftovers. I was surprised that he had two ribs left since he usually leaves nothing. The ribs were hard and did not taste fresh. The sides tasted terrible and the cornbread was horrendous.

Yelp
7pm. Thursday night. Out of vegetables. All starches and beans. Cool. Two pork chops, rice and gravy. Sides mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. Why not... no vegetables let's run up the glycemic index. Pork chops fried fresh....but in old grease. Gravy taste like freshly stirred just add water mix. Mac and cheese was all crust and cheese sauce. Sweet potatoes were present...but not sweet. But the parsley sprinkles chefs kiss. Pre zen tay zion

Yelp
i had the meatloaf , cabbage , mac & cheese and black eyed peas ; the black eyed peas were the star of the show ! everything else was just ok , to me . service was decent as well , the lady who took our food order was the nicest one there

Christopher W.

Yelp
The website hosts this variety menu, when you get to the resturant barely any of the options are available. You're being charged a meal that comes with cornbread. There is never cornbread available after 7pm most nights. And no substitute, price differential for not getting the cornbread. 4 meals on Sunday night no bread. Get to counter no juice, only Diet Coke, $150-$200 and no choice for what I wanted. No salmon. No baked beans, no this no that. When this place 1st opened it was amazing the service has gone down hill very very badly. I would not recommend until they get some things in order.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
I was very disappointed in the food and the price! I spent $20 for a 3 veggie vegetable plate! The food was so salty it was inedible! The cornbread tasted like jiffy corn bread! I expected great Southern food but got overpriced plate full of salt! I will never go back!
google avatar

Jamal D.

Yelp
The absolute worse peach cobbler and sweet potato pie I ever had. I thought the product would be better... especially after paying $9.60 per desert.

Bianca J.

Yelp
This food isn't even edible! The shrimp was so salty that the salt burned your tongue. The ribs were boiled, over cooked and old. The Mac and cheese taste boxed, noddles over cooked and tasteless (my kids wouldn't even eat it) and the greens... this place needs to close and retrain the cooks. Very unfortunate

Yelp
Disgusting how are they still in the business ?? The only thing that taste great is the lemonades. Everything else is trash, over price and disgusting

Yelp
You've heard the radio commercials and probably driven by and saw the line through the shopping center. Well, I FINALLY tried @peachcobblercafe today. I was craving some yams....soul food style. And well, @peachcobblercafe is the only soul food restaurant in my area so... perfect time to try them out. I got there about 5 mins before a rush came in. The employees were very pleasant and seemed to have a decent process of getting orders. The prices are double what you'll probably pay in a different neighborhood but, that didn't deter me from ordering a few items. I went with the smothered turkey wing. That was served over rice and for my sides I ordered yams, Mac and cheese and, green beans. The entree came with a cornbread muffin but y'all KNOW I had to try the peach cobbler. I'll say this...it was worth EVERY penny! @peachcobblercafe is legit!! Y'all, they gave MY beloved smothered turkey wings some competition! Everything was delicious. Most of all, the the crust, peach ratio was perfect!!!! I'll DEFINITELY be back!!! Next time Im trying the oxtails or catfish
google avatar

Nisha T.

Yelp
First time trying this place out. I always hear it advertised on the radio when I do listen. The food is ok. I tired the veggie plate which I ordered Mac and cheese, green and candy yams. It wasn't bad. The peach cobbler was the best out of everything. I would say if you are look for some tasty peach cobbler late night this is your spot.

Yelp
If you're looking for a chaotic dining experience, this is the place for you. Tonight was an episode of what I ask for vs what I got. Location: Buckhead in a shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking but the restaurant next door blocks off parking spaces in the front after a certain time. Staff: Friendly Price: $$$ The prices are moderate to high. My Experience: This was my first visit and the long line was a clear indication that I should've gone elsewhere but I wanted to support this restaurant. I ordered a 3 piece fried chicken, corn, Mac & cheese and banana pudding which came to $35. Yes you read that correctly...$35!!! I received two pieces of chicken, collard greens, dry dressing &! NO dessert. Whose order is this??? It sure isn't mine and what they gave me cost a lot less than WHAT I paid for. This was very disappointing. Note to self....If the line is long..leave that restaurant alone!!!

La Donna E.

Yelp
We're in the hospital up the street for a while, so a deal on food is always appreciated. I ordered through Uber Eats and picked it up to save on the outrageous "other fees" for delivery - we got the bogo shrimp dinner. Although we didn't get any cocktail or tartar sauce, the food was delicious - yet definitely spicy. They're actual prices aren't the same as in the app. The peach cobbler is in small containers - not worth the bogo price of $11.99 for 1 but 2 comes out to be cheaper than in-store price of $8.99. The cornbread has SUGAR on top - delicious! We'll definitely be trying them again.

Markschell M.

Yelp
Food wasn't not as advertised, the turkey wings were old very salty, dessert was very old. Service did the bare minimum. I won't EVER GO BACK!!

Very VERY pleased. I was in town for work, and I asked some of the locals where could I get some good peach cobbler. One woman gave this establishment high praise. So I went there to get a pan of cobbler before I went to the airport. The establishment is extremely clean and welcoming. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I told them I was from out of town and wanted to take some cobbler home for my mom. (Mom absolutely loved it by the way!) They wasted no time wrapping and boxing up more than I expected. I wish more establishments were this welcoming and professional. If I could give them 10 stars and a thank you I definitely would. Keep up the excellent work

Yelp
Mediocre The rest of this review is just so I can get to 85 characters. The food was so mid, it hurt.

Yelp
Ordered take out for lunch! Green beans, fried chicken, greens & Mac. Everything was really good & we also received our food in a timely manner which was good for our empty stomachs! Haha We have not been to the location but will continue ordering out here when in the mood for southern eatery!

Yelp
I had one slice of meatloaf, butter beans, macaroni and a small peach cobbler. It was really good like Piccadillys... but the price was $29.74! No cornbread or roll. If I had to spend that much again I would have to be able to dine in and receive unlimited tea refills!

Yelp
Ordered 2 turkey wing dinners with black eye peas on both, collards & cabbage for each last night. Got home 6 minutes later ready to sit in but The food had absolutely NO SEASONING! WTH?! I'm giving it one star because it was a lot of food, but no one wanted to eat it! I'd been here when they first opened & they were good. But last night was my last time. The food is expensive so therefore should be delicious. Called to speak to the manager but naturally she - London- couldn't come to the phone. I guess this is what happens when you try to open too many locations. Just do one right & people will come.

Yelp
Our first visit was epic! Make sure to call in your order for the catfish! It does take a while-- but it is worth waiting for! The seasoning and batter for both the catfish and wings are something special!! The greens were a bit sweet for my liking but the potato salad, cabbage were both a hit. The banana pudding was delicious! My husband devoured his peach cobbler! Took a star off bc for our second visit we waited way too long for wings. I wish they would've told us about a long wait for some fresh wings. But again, wait was worth it. The cornbread is also delicious!!

Yelp
If you're looking for some good ole soul food, this is a place you'd want to check out! I've been a few twice and thoroughly enjoy my food both times. The first time I ordered the fried chicken dinner which included two sides and my second time I order a smothered pork chop dinner. The food is pricey but it's nothing out of the norm what you would probably pay elsewhere. The service is efficient and they keep the line moving so that you are not there longer then you need to be. I haven't tried their desserts but they look good. I did however try their half gallon homemade fruit punch, it was good but not memorable. The also offer a homemade lemonade and Peach Punch. Overall the food is great, the service is great and this is a place you should check out!

Yelp
I'm sorry but this is a bait and switch and a pricey one at that. The commercials reel you in...someone's granny talking about food and you just KNOW it's going to be good right? WRONG.... 1st off almost $40 for a 3 piece fried chicken meal with 2 sides, a banana pudding and a 1/2 gallon of weak KoolAid is too much. I opted for the fried chicken because nothing, and I mean NOTHING that they had in Gravy looked appealing. The chicken was ok..just barely seasoned..the Mac n Cheese and greens were ‍decent but just decent? Like you have someone's GRANNY talking big so you expect to be wowed..nope. But isn't that the point...for people who have never come, to come and spend $$...good, bad or mediocre the establishment wins. It may be the only soul food restaurant in Buckhead but the food overall needs some work. I can't see myself going back for mediocre food.

Yelp
While the service was immaculate the food was not. I ordered fried chicken all the pieces they had out looked like this.... Barely breaded and barely fried.... All the other pieces looked nice crispy and cooked but not Any of the wings. For $20 would think it would be consistent. This is the new location on shallowford rd. I might give them another try but I doubt it.... I was beyond unhappy with my chicken not being fried all the way. Cabbage was not good either. I literally gave it to my dog.

Yelp
So after seeing so many negative reviews I decided to give this place a chance anyway. Plus I happen to drive right by it so why not. The first thing I noticed was the prices ((WHOA!!)) super expensive!! I almost walked out after asking how much a side of green beans were ((A whopping $5.99)) yea you read that right! All extra sides are overpriced! So we ended up ordering the 3 piece chicken dinner which comes with 2 sides and the Fried Catfish dinner with 2 sides; plus two bottled sodas (($2.99 each)). Our total was a little over (($50.00)) so I really didn't know if we were paying for the food or the location! Geesh!! Although the food was pricey, it was actually ok other than my chicken breast being fried a bit too hard and the catfish was a tad bit too salty/spicy for my daughter. Those $5.99 sides were good though!! There was no seating inside but a couple of tables outside. We might visit again when our pockets are deeper! Because everybody ain't able LOL!!

Yelp
Ribs and Peach cobbler was great. My favorite was the greens!! They had a lot of flavor to them.

Yelp
The food and the service are on point, but I guess due to inflation it is a bit pricey. If it were not for the price, it would be a perfect place for a daily lunch spot and the occasional dinner.

Yelp
I ordered the 3 veggie plate. The food was really good and what I love about this place is the portion size. A lot of restaurant prices aren't consistent with the amount of food they give (especially during the pandemic). At Peach Cobbler Cafe they were very generous with the food.

Yelp
I'm giving a two only because the portions of food was great and customer service was good. However, the food was a waist of money. Soul food taste like LOVE, cooking soul food is about more than putting something in a pot. Just because someone at your said the meal tasted good....doesn't mean that you should open a restaurant...STOP.

Yelp
I've had this place several times and overall it's my go to for soul food. Every time I go inside to order or need to call, the service is great, everyone is polite. Ordering on Uber/DoorDash can be a hit or miss. Smothered turkey wings: 8/10 - really good flavor but one was burnt :( however worth the price because the portion is great! Smothered pork chops: ordered inside 10/10 - fresh! Ordered on Uber 3/10 - soaking in juice (not smothered at all) Whole wing dinner: 10/10 great seasoning, portion is great Sides that were good: Greens, cabbage, Mac & cheese, potato salad Yams: can be really sweet Cornbread: hit or miss.... Mostly dry Peach cobbler: hit or miss... can be really good or burnt

Yelp
I ordered the catfish. The sides that came with my meal were Mac n cheese and white rice. The food could have been much better if it wasn't so salty. I couldn't even finish it.

Yelp
Craving southern food on a Friday evening? You can't go wrong with Peach Cobbler Cafe! I decided to go with the smothered Turkey wings on top of rice and a side of southern dressing and the famous peach cobbler with extra crust. The flavors of the turkey wing was delicious and no extra seasoning was needed ~ the dressing was the sample of your traditional southern dressing you would make on your own! Highly recommended and the customer service was amazing (even with it being take-out)
