recently visited Mount Everest India’s Cuisine in Las Vegas and had a pretty good experience overall. The buffet had a decent selection of dishes, although I think the setup and presentation could be a bit better, especially when it comes to buffet presentation and the buffet decor—it could be made to feel a little more inviting.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and the waiter was also attentive and kind. There was a nice moment when they forgot to charge me for a Diet Coke, and the owner just told me not to worry about it. I appreciated the gesture and left a bigger tip to cover it anyway.
One suggestion I have is for the restaurant to offer unlimited soft drinks, especially since spicy food tends to pair better with something refreshing to cool down the heat. Another thing that could help would be labeling the spice levels of each dish—mild, medium, or hot—so people who can’t handle too much spice know what to avoid. Even though I enjoy spicy food, I think this would help reduce waste.
The location was easy to get in and out of, with convenient parking. As for the food itself, the curry goat had more bones than meat, though that might’ve just been because others picked out the meatier pieces first. When I mentioned it, the waiter was helpful and brought out more goat with less bone, which was appreciated. The raita was flavorful and refreshing, and the rice pudding—kheer—was a nice finish to the meal.
Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant, and I would definitely come back.
