The 10 Best Restaurants To Get A Meal In Soho For Around $20 - New York - The Infatuation

"If you’re not in the mood for chicken at Betong, Mucho Sarap (right next to it) is another great choice. Dishes here have a blend of Mexican and Filipino ingredients, and the combinations work really well. Try the veggie lumpia with incredibly delicate and crispy skin over a pool of enchilada sauce, or get three tacos for $15. The best two are the ones with crumbly longanisa and fatty tocino. Eat them at the counter in front of the open kitchen, or head to the communal area under the big skylight." - Kenny Yang, Carlo Mantuano, Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim

Mucho Sarap - Review - Soho - New York - The Infatuation

"Just look for the colorful Coca-Cola and Juicy Fruit signs in the Canal Street Market to find Mucho Sarap. From the team behind So Sarap, this place serves dishes that have a blend of Mexican and Filipino ingredients, and the combinations work really well. Try the veggie lumpia with incredibly delicate and crispy skin over a pool of enchilada sauce, or get three tacos for $15. The best two are the ones with crumbly longanisa and fatty tocino. They also have a selection of snacks and dry goods for sale in the back in case you want to head home with some bulalô-flavored instant noodle soup. photo credit: Craig Nisperos" - Kenny Yang

Inside a food haul, was a bit full and busy when I was there and there wasn’t a lot of places to sit, pretty good food, could use a better salsa but besides that everything was cooked well ✨🌮

Their food don't match their menu pictures, it's way less robust and more snack sized. Delicious but snack sized. The quesadilla is only 1 tortilla folded in half :/

This is the food of my people! I instantly recognized that it was filipino food, but after I realized it was Mexican-Filipino fusion I had to try it. The tacos did not disappoint! Longonisa tacos were hearty and sweet, the Afritada was also very tasty. The decoration of this little counter is very nostalgic of small shops in the Philippines, but also with hints of Mexican decor.

Mucho Sarap is located in the Canal Street Market food court. When I visited they only had two options available, but the Lumpia-Chiladas that I chose were so good that I didn't mind. The dish is made up of four perfectly-fried veggie lumpia with familiar enchilada sauce, cotija, avocado, and pickled red onions. It was filling without feeling too heavy. The dish was made fresh to order, too, so I'm assuming everything is, and it took about 7-10 minutes to be ready (worth the wait).

Excellent fusion food - stopped by and got 3 different tacos, the Filipino sausage, pork, and adobo chicken. All were great, the sausage and pork especially. Great flavors and well balanced, nothing was spicy and their other dishes looked really good as well so will have to come back. Prices were fine - what I expected in a food hall location. I would say portion wise maybe get a main and a side if you’re very hungry - also had some Filipino snack options!

Be Aware! I ordered the Brutto, expecting a generous portion of meat, as shown in the picture. However, the wrap I received had less than 10% meat, a huge disappointment.

Filipino-Mexican fusion is an incredible idea and this place executes it well. The aesthetic of this place straight up screams “this is how I grew up”. The Filipino bacon taco was my favorite.

Food was so good. I got the silog bowl which came with a side of chips. The bowl was an explosion of flavor and the chips were freshly made. Highly recommend!
