The 38 Best Restaurants in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"This South Asian fusion spot in the Arts District primarily focuses on sushi, but also offers a menu of dishes that includes lobster dynamite (a whole cold water lobster tail), wagyu on a hot rock, and black cod misosuke in a 72-hour sweet miso marinade. There’s also an incredible off-menu crispy beef inspired by a recipe one of the owners’ Indian mother makes, but you have to meet him first before being allowed to order it — don’t be shy, he makes excellent dinner conversation. Right now, Musume is offering a phenomenally realized multi-course omakase dinner in conjunction with Booker T. Washington High School. It includes a book featuring illustrations of each course created by freshmen and sophomore students from the school. Vibe check: While the dining room might feel like a semi-stuffy Arts District spot, there is a nightclub in the back to visit after dinner if you want to get down." - Courtney E. Smith

The Best Dishes Eater Dallas Ate in February 2025 | Eater Dallas

"Running a seasonal omakase that benefits Booker T. Washington High School, this service pairs an illustrated guide—art by freshmen and sophomores—with a 10 percent donation of the meal price. The courses are delicate and well-balanced; a standout was the kanpachi sunomono, where rose water–infused vinegar pickled the cucumbers beneath the fish, a subtle interplay that chef Yuzo Toyama executed brilliantly." - Courtney E. 15 Irresistible Dallas Restaurants to Discover | Eater

"Come for the sushi, but stay for the sake and the rewards. Musume is home to the state’s most extensive sake program, with over 125 different selections, many of them available on tap. Located in the Arts District, Musume offers an Asian-fusion menu that includes influences from Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Singaporean cooking traditions. (Chili crab, anyone?) The 165-seat restaurant has an intimate sushi bar, perfect for enjoying a glass of sake with your meal. The menu is split between the kitchen and sushi bar, with the kitchen offering plates like basil snapper and umami filet mignon, while the sushi bar includes rolls like yellowtail serrano and Hamachi. They also serve an omakase menu for when you just can’t make your own decisions. These delicious plates can earn you up to 18% in rewards when you book with Seated." - Vox Creative
