I’d love for you to try this — Japanese cuisine blended with Thai influences, offering bold, satisfying flavors that are absolutely worth the price. The uni was my favorite — truly impressive and didn’t disappoint. The chef is incredibly talented, turning each dish into a work of art. He’s friendly and takes the time to explain each menu item in detail. Every piece of fish was fresh and high-quality. You really have to experience it for yourself. It’s just a shame I didn’t have room for dessert — I was completely full!

Musume is a gem! The food is absolutely scrumptious, bursting with flavor and quality. Service is phenomenal--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless and stylish, creating the perfect dining atmosphere. And happy hour? Simply awesome! Great deals, great vibes. If you haven't been yet, go--you'll love it! A few of my favorite dishes: shishito, avocado truffle crispy rice, avocado tempura, soft shell crap tempura, crispy rice tuna, any of their crudos.

Had some of the happy hour specials (agedashi tofu, shishitos, crispy rice tuna), sweet shrimp and yellowtail handrolls, niji, and for dessert: a large bowl of the most delicious, light-as-feather, shaved ice-y marvel called kakigori (ours was the roast green tea flavor). We could have waten a whole other huge bowl of it. Just so good! Service was prompt and personable and the price to quality ratio was perfect. We’ll be back:)

It’s truly wonderful! The food here makes me feel incredibly happy. I came here with my friends, and we were really impressed with both the service and the taste of the food. Uni hand rolls is the best ever !! We’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended here !!!

Best sushi in Hollywood! This place opened a few weeks ago and my friend and I were blown away by the speed of service, minimalist decor and ambiance, and the absolutely delicious food! I cannot recommend this place enough. I love you, Musume.

Came here for lunch with a friend. The iced green tea was delicious. We both had the lunch special which consisted for a few pieces of nagiri and a hand roll! the hand roll was quite large and delicious. Would come back if i am in the area again.

I have been twice (only for lunch) and it is soooooooo good. Just the best of the best in a tiny shop with kind and attentive service. Worth every penny.

Easy to place an order over the phone (haven't tried online) and pick up, their fish selection is nice and very fresh. I've ordered a couple times now and definitely appreciate having another fresh sushi option in the neighborhood! Interior is quite calming, minimalistic, clean and modern. Go give them a try if you're in the area - classic offerings are also available as a hand or cut roll which a plus to me (i.e., blue crab, tuna, etc.). Reasonable pricing for the quality. Side note: My first experience here there was a bill discrepancy and the owner was very quick to resolve. The fact that I was even contacted by the owner speaks volumes in Hollywood! Wonderful service and everything was taken care of. Will return soon.

After hearing so much about this place and driving 45 minutes to try it, I found it a bit disappointing. The service is great, and everyone is very friendly. The décor is simple and minimalist, which I appreciated. However, I'm still puzzled by the food. The fish quality was average, with thin slices on Al Dente rice, but the biggest surprise was the overwhelming sweetness in everything. The rice, every sauce--everything had a noticeable sweetness that was overpowering. Here's what we ordered: * Garlic Shishito: Nicely spicy, but the shishito peppers had a tough, inedible skin. * Agedashi Tofu: The texture of the tofu was good, but again, it was very sweet. * Miso Soup: This was tasty and enjoyable. * Sushi: Yellowtail Belly, Salmon Belly, Shima Aji, and Amberjack were all average, each with its own special sauce, but yet again, all overly sweet. I won't be returning, though it seems a lot of people enjoy the flavors at this new spot.

Making people beg for ginger and wasabi when you're paying $30 for a sashimi lunch is one of my biggest pet peeves. If the fish were great, it would make up for it but it's not that good, unfortunately.

Food 3/5: the fish was very average and very thin small portion, nothing premium tasting, green tea was very good. Service 5/5: very nice staff members Ambiance is small yet boutique

Wow. Probably the best sushi in Hollywood. Fresh sashimi that melts in your melt, portions of the cuts & rice were generous. This food was made with love I can already tell. The place itself was so cute and minimal. I wish I could stay in and eat so my hand rolls would have been fresh and crunchy but I had to order take out. Regardless, the hand roll salmon I got was still delicious. The chefs didn't mess with the flavors of the sashimi which was a good thing because it shows you the delicious flavor the fishes gives off naturally. Everything was well thought out and priced reasonably. You gotta check this place out, trust me.

Really enjoyed the food and would recommend! Highlights were the salmon teriyaki and amberjack crudo. The service was good and the restaurant had a nice aesthetic.

10/10 NO NOTES!! THIS MY NEW FAVORITE LIL SPOT!! And it's right by my nail shop Lanicure, so I'll be having plenty of self care dates here. The wings and spicy tuna live in my head rent free. And the minimalist aesthetic is so clean and makes you feel welcome immediately. The service was also really nice, i truly have no complaints and I can't wait to come back (:

As a big Japanese food lover, I am sooo happy this new Japanese spot opened near me! The tekka don was probably the best tuna bowl I've ever had and their happy hour deals were very reasonably priced (I got the shima aji crudo and it did not disappoint). Super quick service and really excellent quality of fish and presentation. It is a great switch up from the Sugarfish nearby, which doesn't have much variation if you're going often. Excited to try the rest of Musume's menu!

If you're looking for a neighborhood sushi place with exceptional quality sushi, personable sushi chefs-- shout out to James and Jam-- go sit at the sushi bar. They share innovative sushi bites, concoctions, delivered with beautiful artistry that satisfies the aesthetic as well as the sensual. Prices are super reasonable. Lunch specials are hard to beat for the value. The space is clean. Modern, and chill. I think they're getting they're liquor license soon... for those date nights. Super close to Netflix, I'm hopeful that this new place will become a hot spot soon... Fingers crossed that we'll still be able to get in without a wait! Check it out-- and sit at the sushi bar if you can!

Give five stars for over all wonderful experience. I have to say from many experiences with Sushi bars in the past, this is one of the best restaurants on my list. Not only is the presentation very good but the food is incredibly tasty. Highly recommend!

Quality was good overall. Friendly service, reasonable portion, quality ingredient, but everything was too sweet. The only thing that wasn't sweet was the ginger.

This place is fantastic! I'm really glad it's just down the street from me. The ambiance is beautiful, and the sushi is fresh and delicious, complemented by excellent service. Since it's a new spot, I believe it will become very popular once more people discover this gem. I've been here four times already, and I plan to return to try the entire menu! However, parking can be a hassle, so I recommend using Uber.

Lovely service, good food and decent ambiance. We each ordered a lunch special which came with a salad and miso soup.

We ordered take out, and the food was amazing!!!! So happy this opened up across the street from my job! Definitely will be coming back for more! The personnel was very polite and helpful with the menu. They even gave us complimentary matcha tea as we waited. I highly recommend if you are looking for delicious sushi!

Great new neighborhood spot! The food was tasty and well priced. Crispy rice tuna was fire! The service was attentive and friendly. I liked the vibes of the whole place, even the dish and serving ware was really cute and chic. Love that this place is right around the corner!

Came here a few months ago. Got the unagi and the Agashi tofu. So delicious, probably one of the best unagi bowls I've had in the states. Service was great and accommodating. Looking forward to trying more things.

This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. I am a sushi connoisseur and can attest to this being an absolute stand out. Order the amberjack nigiri and and the super nigiri, but you can't go wrong with anything here!

I recently visit a Japanese spot in Hollywood with a minimalistic decor featuring beige/white colors painted and wooden walls creating such a calm and warm ambiance. We start off with Musume wings and let me be real with you the way they fried it was on point and have an amazing flavor. Then we move on to Sashimi set (Lunch) oh wow you have see and taste how incredible fresh their fish are and also price for lunch items are very reasonable. We also had 2 Crudo plates which is Tuna Ponzu and chili oil Yum Yum Yum But then Albacore garlic ponzu hand down to be the highlight of this meal. SUPERB! Friendly service complemented the excellent food, I'll definitely return soon.

Came across this on Yelp, as a new spot that just opened up. Parking was fairly easy to find, valet parking available in the back and plenty of street parking on the side. Our server was super attentive and would occasionally check in on us. The restaurant is in a fairly small place, but the interior was so modern and minimal looking. It gave off casual, but contemporary dining. The silverware's and dishes were so sleek, the overall ambiance was just so aesthetic. For the price we paid for dinner, with the amount of dishes we got including dessert, I would say this was a fairly priced spot. Since coming back from Japan, we haven't had a decent place to eat out, since Japan has set the standards high for us. However, this place met those expectations. Everything was so fresh and made with so much flavor. The beef clay pot rice was so tender and seasoned perfectly, which paired well with the garlic rice. Our sashimi came with a bowl of rice and seafood, so that we could pair them together. Even the white rice itself was seasoned and had a slight hint of sweetness. As for the dessert, I loved how it was not too sweet and not too overbearing, it was a light dessert that was great to end the meal. At the end of our meals, we were even given a complimentary chef's special of mixed sashimi with crab meat on top (so perfect!). I could go on about this spot, but this place was just as comparable as the meals I had in Japan and also very similar to Izakaya Osen but a way better price point. Will be coming back to the try the rest of the menu and their lunch specials.

The dining experience at MUSUME was sublime. Everything was beyond expectation. Toro!!! Smoked Salmon Belly!! Come on, the edamame was truffle salted. Our waiter, T, knew and made the best suggestions. He was a living menu and never steered us wrong. This is the kind of place that is a hidden gem and is about to blow up, but I almost don't want it to, because I wanna get a table next month. It deserves to be packed, because these chefs and servers are feeding the souls of those who are hungry for accessible elegance and culinary excellence. Their lunch menu is beyond!! Skip everything you know. Go to MUSUME now!!!

Ordered takeout, food was ready quick and everything was delicious! Great fish quality, delicious miso soup and salad, and killer chasu pork coming back again for sure !

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of this restaurant and finally went in for lunch to find out they've been open a few weeks now. Intimate place open til 9pm. I ordered the sushi lunch plate which was excellent. The fish was very fresh and cool. Red miso soup had a great kick over the typical white miso I usually get served in other Japanese restaurants. They make gluten free soy sauce and broths, I believe. Anyway fresh green salad and rice topped with white and black sesame seeds. Ginger and wasabi for those who like to sweat. Excellent friendly and attentive service. You get an "Irrashaimase!" When you enter, and a shout out "Thank you!" When you depart. That's just great!

We just had dinner at Musume, and I was blown away. The presentation, the quality of the fish, and the service was all excellent. It is also in a great location, close to everything we want to do in LA and easy to get to. I highly recommend the sashimi chef special and the salmon crudo. 5 stars!

This was my first time at Musume and I have to say that the quality of the food was beyond excellent! The fish was melting in your mouth. The service was amazing and the overall vibe of the restaurant was perfect. We were a big group and everyone was so happy and satisfied. The staff are so friendly and professional. I am very excited to come back. It's a cute little place with an intimate atmosphere perfect for date night. So happy we chose to come here tonight. A must try in the city. Thank you for everything.

We had been wanting to try this new spot after driving past it many times and we're so happy we finally did. What a wonderful little minimalist restaurant with absolutely delicious food and by far the best salmon sushi either of us have ever had. The service was super attentive and accommodating, which made us feel relaxed and taken care of. We'll certainly be putting Musume on our regular rotation. A+++

I have tried many different sushi restaurants, but this place, although newly opened, really left an impression on me. Not only is the fish fresh and high quality, but it also has a special flavor that I have not tasted at other sushi places. Try it yourself and you will know what I mean. Will definitely be back.!

Ate here for the 1st time last night and when you walk in you'll notice that the decor is modern and simple which gives it a fresh feel. Our server was so sweet. The food was pretty good and presented well! I would come back to try different things on the menu. The happy hour honestly has some great stuff on there. My only complaint is the shrimp tempura. I'm not used to eating it with the head still in tact so was really thrown off by that odd taste. So I wouldn't recommend if you're not used to it being served with the head or just avoid it that part. Overall the experience was pleasant :-)

Ok, hear me out....this place is AMAZING. The salmon was delicious, the yellowtail was excellent, now the tuna....WAS INSANE. Melted in your mouth, dissolved on tongue impact. I can't wait to come back here. The service was just as excellent as the food. I urge you to come and do your tastebuds a massive favor and have some musume sushi.

I've been to Japan and this is at the level of the best sushi dinners I had in Tokyo. Everything from the sashimi plate to the matcha ice cream is unreal.

Was in the area and saw a new sushi restaurant was open. They had a lunch menu and I ordered the sashimi set. It came with plenty of sashimi and a nice bowl of sushi rice! The food was prepared super well by the chef Jam. Everything was really yummy and would definitely come again.

Great vibe, outstanding service, and high quality sushi. I wish I had taken some pictures of the food, but the plating was done very well, and even the sashimi plates come out with a lot of color. The best a la carte sushi in the area, and thats saying a lot. Oh, and get the wings.

Really good for its price point and location. Everything I had was fresh. Service is also really friendly. But this place also had some weird quirks that I didn't like much - it's both clean and dirty at the same time. The tables are all nice and wiped down but there would be a decent amount of dust on the plates. The bathroom has lelabo amenities but the toilet was dirty and not properly maintained. But giving the benefit of the doubt and opening a new business takes time, I would definitely visit again! Once again, really good food and I hope they have figured few things out
