Muzzy's Bagels

We went with my babies and husband. And I loved, loved, loved everything. My Bagel was perfect. So yummy, fresh, tasty. Our coffee was also fresh and perfect! My husband said that it was the best bagel he had in his entire life, same for me ( classic lox) . I enjoyed it so much. Sadly I was visiting Austin but I'll be back. 2 points I'd like for them to work which is to try to speed up a little bit, cause' we waited more than 35 min to get our 3 bagels. It was just 2 people in the kitchen cooking and one person taking orders and helping out with the coffee... Also, try to have at least 2 high chairs cause' it was uncomfortable to have my baby on my lap feed her and try to eat at the same time. But everything else was great. Also the staff was very nice . Price are fine.

Best dine-in bagel experience ever! Amazing service from Anthony. He hooked us up with a strawberry lemonade and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Must try spot if you enjoy good tunes. Nice artwork displayed on the walls inside from Conrad Keely as well.

Muzzy’s was a great experience. The area Muzzy’s is in is so great. Lots of lil houses that are their own shops - so fun! There is plenty of seating and the wait was really not long (11am on a Sunday, about 10 min wait). I got a sesame bagel which was the last available bagel - the bagel was super tasty! I had this with herb cream cheese which was just okay, it really didn’t have too much flavor. So this could be enhanced! If I come back I would get the old school sandwich , everyone is ordering that!

SO glad they dropped prices. I got the lox bagel with herb cream cheese on a rosemary bagel ($12.50 is a much better price point than $16, especially on the east side!). My husband got the Old School Brekky and loved it. Both bagels were so soft and flavorful. All items are seed oil free too, which is a huge plus. Staff is very generous and friendly as well. We’ll be back!

Really cool vibe--coffee is as good as the bagels and that stood out. My wife's lox bagel had fresh dill on it and she really liked that...my mortadella n pesto on a rosemary bagel was great. Fun music playing inside pretty loud so you could hear it outside, though my only change to this place would be a portable speaker to yoss outside as weather allows. We'll be back for sure. 5 stars.

EDIT 8/23/24: I returned, and much was improved. Menu prices lowered and portions raised. They really got it figured out. Love it, here all the time for their fire bagels. Another victim of shrink-flation! I am a frequent muzzys customer as I live just a 4 min walk away. This past weekend, I went after being gone a few weeks, looking forward to their “grand reopening”. I ordered the same menu item I always do (albeit with a new name), for the same price ($13) and look at what I got. I’ll let you guess which of my two photos is the old one I expected and which is the new version I got. (The old one isn’t my photo). Very disappointed. It went from a good bagel I was willing to pay a little extra for to a place I would never return. I hope they figure out and fix this but I’m not holding my breath. You’d need $30 in bagels to be full as a grown man with their new menu. My gf was also unhappy they got rid of the rosemary bagel but that’s not my thing. Great service as always.

Wow! This place serves the best bagels in town paired with fantastic coffee. I tried their 'Mamma Mia' breakfast bagel, which was an absolute delight. The vanilla latte was also amazing. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is cozy. Highly recommended for a delicious breakfast or lunch!

Had the Mamma Mia and the Mrs.Muzzy while visiting my daughter in Texas. Our family has spent a majority of our lives in the Connecticut and New York area and these are very unique bagels relative to traditional bagels. They have a sweet taste to them. I would say the main difference is not only the bread but the ingredients. You can definitely tell it’s farm fresh and similar to high quality bread you’d get in Europe. Really great to see they also provide a great option for vegans! The coffee and matcha were excellent, too!

My boyfriend and I were craving bagels, so we decided to check out Muzzy's, since we live nearby. We are from NY and are always on the hunt for a good bagel in Austin. We found free street parking nearby and walked over. Muzzy's is located in a space with a few other businesses, including a wine shop, pizza place, and a stick and poke tattoo parlor. There is a food truck parked outside, which makes me thinks that Muzzy's travels around town sometimes. There are tables and chairs outside, as well as a few inside. We ordered food for takeaway, so we didn't sit down. Ordering was quick and easy. There was another party in front of us when we got there, but the quickly ordered. The kitchen is inside and exposed, so it's cool to see the chefs make the bagels. We ordered and got our food within 5 minutes. The bagel itself was very tasty. Definitely one of the better quality bagels I've had in Austin. The scrambled eggs were perfect, and the herb cream cheese was so tasty! I will say that the bagel was chewier than a traditional NY bagel, but this was not a huge issue. Still a great bagel!

I made a U-y as soon as I saw the bagels and coffee sign. I hadn't heard of Muzzy's so needed to put my morning plans on hold for a very important impromptu meeting with a carb. I couldn't help myself and opted for a bagel, bagel bfast sando, and a latte. I ran up quite the tab for a single lady but...mind yo' business. The bfast sando is a beast. If you're hankering for a hog fest, opt for this. The solo bagel was a thicc girl. How 'bout day dough, though?!? Know what I'm sayin'? To be fair, I don't. But hopefully you get the idea. Highly recommend for your next hankerin' for a bagel.

What exactly am I eating? It kind of looks like a bagel but also like a roll. Its a lil too chewy and felt kinda doughy, so it makes you wonder. TBH, I'm not really a fan. I've been here twice and both times were the same. And what's going on with those high $$$ prices for bagels?? $47.62 for 2 bagel sandwiches & 2 drinks. It's small venue, I'm not saying it has to be cheap. But are we in an airport? Sheesh!

Anthony, the new manager in charge is wonderful! Food is great, place is small and they have a small kitchen so please be patient, the food is worth the wait! Super cute back patio to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! Come early, they run out of the good stuff. Ask for the chef special! It's not posted but it's always delicious. We had the barbacoa bagel and it as really nice! Highly recommend, if you're I. The area give it a try!

I had a hankering For a bagel sandwich and saw that this place had good reviews and was nearby. I'm glad I tried it. The place itself is cute with indoor and outdoor seating options. It also has a parking lot nearby which is awesome. It's cute and clean inside and the menu is simple but all you need For a bagel shop. I liked my Muzzy's breakfast sandwich with herb cream cheese. I did not get the honey that comes with it. It was very good and filling but a bit messy due To the cream cheese but there's plenty of napkins around! You should try it out!

I ordered 5 everything bagels with cream cheese, 1 plain bagel with herb cheese and a (4oz?) orange juice for $42. I was shocked at the price. My friend also found a sharp bit of plastic inside their bagel. Would not recommend a bagel shop that costs this much, forgets to toast bagels and is serving food created in a ghost kitchen 12 hours before they open.

Chef very passionate about his food and special menu, nice people, food was yummy I'd come here over Nervous Charlies.

Would've been nice to have a bagel, but unfortunately, I guess they don't stick to their opening hours so be advised you might want to call first. Walked all the way here got here a half hour when they were supposed to be open and yet nobody here nobody answering the phone.

I've spent a lot of time in NY and Montreal and have eaten bagels all over the place. This bagel has more in common with sourdough than a bagel. Extremely chewy, almost gummy inside. Mottled outside (like sourdough crust). Sour finish on the plain bagel, but also sweet? What is going on here? I would put this firmly in the "not a bagel" camp. It's weird bread. Don't let them gaslight you. They have a lot of staff for a tiny space and the tension is palpable. They already have a thousand yard stare. I overheard a discussion about toaster placement that ended with Michelin star guy saying something about his "Michelin star experience" that lead me to believe he brings it up more than is socially appropriate. I felt bad for his staff. Needs to listen to the team before morale collapses vs lecturing. I feel like he is going to blame them when this place crashes and burns rather than the fact that he's charging a LOT of money for bagel-shaped sourdough.

100% must try. This place beats all the bagels we have in Dallas I love a good breakfast bagel. They're simple and usually hard to mess up... But This place takes it to another level. The amount of different flavors you get in a bite is top tier. We had the Old School Breaky on Everything, and a Lox and Cream Cheese on Jalepeno. The cashier recommended that we get the lox torched to bring out more flavor. Make sure you ask for that. It was great. Someone mentioned it was hard to find. It's only hard to find if you're blindfolded. There's a sign with an arrow that says bagels on the street, and it's just to the left when you walk through the gate

I'm on a quest to find the best bagel store in Austin. This isn't it. It's invisible from the street, concealed behind a high fence, with no sign. Once I found it, I liked the ambience -- nothing special, just standard Austin hippie funky. The three employees were friendly. Things started to go south when they said they didn't have sesame bagels, even though their website says they do. They had only four kinds -- plain, rosemary, everything, and a fourth I forget. I ordered the everything bagel. It wasn't small, but it wasn't quite medium, either. It looked okay. But the bottom of the bagel was damp and slimy! Was it underbaked? I don't think so; the inside texture was pretty good -- chewy, not too doughy. It seemed like it had been sitting in moisture. The kicker is that it cost $3.80!!! I don't expect to pay that much for any bagel anywhere, even at the airport, much less for a smallish, partly slimy bagel.

Just went here for the first time and it was all around an amazing experience. Anthony the owner you can tell is passionate about his shop and supporting local artists. The bagels were amazing and Conrad Keely has beautiful works of art displayed. 100% recommend

This bagel place is super cute and the outdoor table atmosphere is really nice. They have sourdough bagels which I'd never had before. The bagel to cream cheese ratio was good (see photo) although the size of the bagel was definitely on the smaller size. I got a sesame bagel with cream cheese and a latte for $11. I hope they serve egg bagels someday.

Hard, chewy bagels. Dill was old. Had to pay extra for cream cheese, never had to do this! Lox and bagel should come with cream cheese! They seemed to be having a bad day, coffee machine down, square not picking up orders to their business. Cute place though.

Ordered the Mrs. Muzzy on a rosemary bagel. The mushrooms were smokey and tender. Fresh arugula and creamy cashew ricotta were a combo from heaven. The sweet barista helped guide my drink order - a lavender oat matcha and I could not have been more pleased. The chef was on site and chatted with us about the integrity of the ingredients. The brick and mortar is nestled in amongst other local Austin businesses. The community and artisanal quality of the food sets this place apart. Will be back!

I tried Muzzy's Bodega Bagel and it was amazing!! The absence of seed oil ensures a healthier option. Nestled in a charming backyard setting, this shop combines flavor and ambiance flawlessly

Bagel shaped sourdough. Super chewy, almost gummy. In a bagel sandwich, it's impossible to eat. As a regular bagel with shmear, it's doable but not appetizing.

Not open although website, yelp listed that they would be. Calls go straight to voicemail. This is unprofessional, if an establishment cannot keep their stated hours and doesn't notify the public of changes, it should not be in business.

Came to the grand opening and was absolutely blown away by the quality of bagels! I haven't had some this good since going to NYC. Would highly recommend the Old School Breaky and the Mama Mia. The coffee is great too. It's honestly what I needed this morning and happy Austin finally has a good bagel spot

It was good, but it came to $22 for a single sandwich (including tax & tip), and that's just too much. It was a solid sandwich (although over-dressed with balsamic, which soaked thru the bagel and overpowered the mortadella). Next time I'll probably just get a bagel with cream cheese to keep the price reasonable. It's inside a large picnic area - great place to hang out on a nice day (very kid friendly and dog friendly) Note: there is no parking lot or street parking, so unless you plan to encroach on the neighborhood businesses you'll need to park a few blocks away and walk.

Great bagel in a great location! Each of their ingredients is high quality and perfectly selected to make the perfect sandwich. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a very cute spot to go with family.

Best damn bagel i have had! Very unique and amazing taste in such a prominent location! Austin needed this! I have never had a great bagel and great coffee in one. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. This is the place!

This place was BOMB! I literally had an orgasm in my mouth HAHA idk if this is gonna be taken down, but yeah guys... just trust me. Go to this place. Eat a dank ass bagel (homemade, tasty, crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle), meet upbeat people, see DOGS, talk to the chef, or don't talk to people. just go eat a bagel and chill alone. they get it. They are also extremely personable and charismatic. They make u feel at home. All of the food is fresh, the cream cheese is to DIE for. anyways sorry, i'm ranting. just go eat here. thank me later

love this cute and all natural bagel spot on the east side! the service was wonderful, the inside is so cute and the Mama Mia and Breakfast bagel sandwiches were so delicious and made with healthier ingredients which makes me feel good :) love it!
