Can TikTok Help Restaurants Succeed? It's Complicated | Bon Appétit

"A Korean noodle and dumpling chain with locations in Los Angeles, Anaheim and Houston that had been selling dalgona candy for at least a year before the dessert became a global TikTok craze following a hit TV show. The viral moment sent monthly dalgona sales at a single location from a few dozen to as many as 500, though demand later tapered to roughly 150–200 pieces a month, and management says the attention both surprised them and was difficult to fully capitalize on." - ByMaggie Hennessy

We came here for the first time!! It was a good Korean restaurant in the area! We got handful of orders and they were all delicious! Bibimpap, cold noodles, Korean noodles and unlimited amount of delicious kimchi! We had a delightful time for sure! Love to be back here again! Keep up with the good work! Cheers 🥂

I think I received the best service in this area. The food was delicious, but sometimes even great food can lose its charm due to poor service. However, tonight’s dinner here was truly enjoyable thanks to the wonderful service. I hope the person who worked today gets a lot of praise from the owner. The place was clean, and the kimchi was outstanding.

Google
A Korean knife-cut noodle chain with great portions. The star, knife-cut noodles, are best displayed in the bibim-kalguksu. These mixed cold noodles are spicy, rich in fishy, fermented, garlic flavor and have a hint of sesame. The steamed pork and shrimp dumplings are also amazing. They have a springy texture, thin skin, and a nice bite. The fried mandu were great with a flavorful chive and pork flavor. They are also nice in the mandu-guk, which can come with perfectly chewy and thin tteok (rice cakes). The soup base that comes with the previous dish and kalguksu, however, could be better. There is not enough umami or deep flavor. Although, the ground chicken topping option is tender and well seasoned. The complimentary kimchi is generous, but the flavor was not exactly to our liking. Overall, there is a lot of variety offered here, especially if you're looking for satisfying and comforting Korean food.

Hadn’t eaten here in several years and it was just as good as I remembered. I ordered their spicy cold noodles. It was sssoooo good! Service was great, they provide a serving of two types of kimchi and keep bringing more when they get low. I’ve this place and will be back for more!

Portions are big. Go with 4 or more people to get more variety. Chicken kalguksu was comforting. Broth could have been hotter. Pan fried dumplings were good but nothing unfamiliar. White kimchi and red kimchi are excellent! Red kimchi is garlicky and funky(a great thing)

Google
This restaurant is so good. Their mandu taste delicious, the dough is not thick and has a lot of fillings. Their chicken noodle soup is very good too. I love their Kimchi and tea. Definitely a great place for Korean comfort food! Highly recommended! Update: newly renovated plaza. Store is pretty and clean!

Google
This place is delicious. Especially the shrimp dumplings. Love how extra noodles are free and unlimited and they give you a whole new bowl with veggies. The service is good but slow and honestly for a bowl of noodles, a bit too pricey. I'd rather have a choice to get a less expensive one without free extra noodles. One bowl is plenty.

Google
Who’s down for Korean noodles? Highlights of the menu: 1. Dumpling soup 2. Spicy chewy noodles 3. Bibimbap 4. Beef bulgogi This place is so good for comfort food. They offer a lot of noodles types that are really good. The flavors are very great reminds me of the noodles I had when traveled to Korea! The service is super good as they’re quick and very nice. They have the normal kimchi and white kimchi, I always love banchan!

Yelp
Craved this place so I went the next week! This time we had the shrimp and pork dumplings (I prefer the pork) and got the kalguksu. I loved the broth of the kalguksu but prefer noodles that are a bit chewier! Pork dumplings will definitely be my go to order here Service was consistently fast and place continues to be clean and spacious! Great ac hehe

Yelp
Lovely kalguksu Delicious flavorful broth with lots of noodles The pork and shrimp dumplings were so yummy Soft and delicious Their kimchi is very good and garlicky

Yelp
3rd time here.... Still consistently yummy. Ordered Bibim guksu & dolsot bulgogi bibimbab. Both are so good. I like how they used a wider surface dolsot (hot stone pot), that way a lot more rice will crisp up. Their kimchi is so delicious too. I always buy a container to take home. Staff were attentive and fast. Will keep coming back.

Yelp
I was missing Korea and my first visit to MDK did not disappoint!!! Located in a rather random shopping center next to a Seafood City Market, MDK is a no frills restaurant. Expectations were high, as this is a branch of the famous chain in Korea... When we walked in we were a bit surprised to enter a large space filled with tables. It almost felt cafeteria like- literally very sparse deco and rows of tables lined up side by side and in rows. But on a Sunday at lunchtime, it was a full house as people kept coming in and leaving. Service was friendly and efficient. A testament to this truly being a KOREAN restaurant, utensils are hidden from site by sliding out a side drawer from under the edge of the table. The most popular items here are the Kalguksu and Mandu. They also have several other offerings like bibimbap, but since bibimnaengmyeon is my favorite I ordered that. While we waited we noticed two different Grandmas at two different tables pulling Tupperware out of their purses and taking home their kimchi banchans (lol)! Once I took a bite of mine I stopped laughing AB's investors why they did that- their Kimchi is really good!!! They sell it, so you can take some home with you! So there are lots of receipts that say it's not as good as Korea, which I get but feel is kinda unfair. The kalguksu here is still aeons above a majority of restaurants here in SoCal. The one thing I couldn't get over is the fact that 'kalguksu' is supposed to be 'knife cut noodles'. That is, noodles that are slightly thick and not uniform in size- the noodles here are perfectly cut to an odd with smaller than udon noodles and just not what you're expecting. It would be like ordering tagliatelle pasta and getting linguine noodles instead. However, if you can get past that the actual quality and texture of the noodles was great! The shrimp and pork steamed dumplings were delicious! Perfectly paired with vinegar and soy sauce, we ended up eating them all! And my spicy cold noodles were the best I've had in California! MDK definitely met my expectations and I will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Great Korean food. The seafood pancake was very good. Their steam dumpling were tasty and flavorful. The Korean stone pot rice was terrific, adding the soy sauce and sesame oil provided great flavor. The inside is very spaced and the staff members are very friendly

Yelp
Authentic Korean food with terrific service, and lots of spacious seating. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
My go to place for the kalguksu for the past 10 years. We got the original kalguksu which is the chicken noodle soup. You can order extra noodles for $5. We wanted more dumplings so my table just ordered one noodle to share and one of each dumplings. It more than enough food for 2. Had a few of dumplings to togo for later. I recommend the shrimp/pork dumplings over the just pork ones. The only down part was the kimchi. It's hard not to compare since I've been going here for so long but I felt like the quality of the kimchi wasn't able good as a few years ago.

Yelp
This place is one of the best Korean dumpling and noodle restaurants in town. They recently renovated the place, and it now has a clean and inviting atmosphere. All the dishes on the menu are authentic and highly recommended. I especially recommend getting the dumplings and noodles (hot or cold), which they are known for.

Yelp
We have been to the MDK in Korea which was amazing. We had no idea they had started to open some stores here in California! We came here post easter mass and we had made right before the rush. We got the kalguksu and the spicy cold noodles. The spicy cold noodles was so good, it was sweet tangy and spicy. The kalguksu was also super good but its not the same as Korea. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious also super clean. We will definitely be back to eat the rest of their dishes!

Yelp
Still one of my favorite restaurants to go to! I love their noodles, pork dumplings, and kimchi. I love it so much that I've taken so many friends here, and they agree on how delicious the dishes here are.

Yelp
I used to eat at Myeongdong Kyoja often in my childhood, so I returned after over 10 years to enjoy some kalguksu again. My husband and I each got kalguksu with chicken broth and an order of pork dumplings. The kalguksu broth is thick and comforting, and the portion size is pretty generous. There are a lot of noodles, some minced seasoned meat, and dumplings. The kimchi is very garlicky and a little spicier than a lot of other places make their kimchi. It's so good. I also like the white kimchi. They come around often asking if you need a refill. The pork dumplings are juicy. I use 1 part soy sauce to 3 parts vinegar provided at the table to make a dipping sauce. I was satisfied with the nostalgic flavor, clean environment, and hospitable service.
google avatar

Yelp
We keep coming back for their incredibly addicting garlicky kimchi! We usually stick with the kalguksu noodle soup, which is always comforting, but on a recent hot day, we tried the cold soybean noodle soup. It was refreshing and surprisingly filling. Since it's on the blander side, it pairs perfectly with their kimchi. We also had the bulgogi hot stone bibimbap. The sizzling stone bowl gives it that great crispy rice texture, and the extra sesame oil on the side is a plus. The aunties who run the place are warm, attentive, and quick to offer kimchi refills.
google avatar

Yelp
We came on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. The kalguksu was pretty similar to what I had in Korea. The bowl of noodles came out piping hot. The noodles were soft and the portion was pretty big. The dumplings however tasted like frozen dumplings. They also give spicy kimchi and non-spicy kimchi. The spicy kimchi was so good but also so spicy. I would definitely be back again!

Yelp
Delicious cold noodles that were so refreshing for a hot summer afternoon! The restaurant was also very clean and service was quick.

Yelp
Korean food makes me happy... If I'm starving, it's a good time for Korean food! If I'm pretty full, it's a good time for Korean food! I was able to try MDK Noodle on two separate occasions, and it was good both times. The interior is minimalistic at best....almost sterile. The waitstaff rushes around with pushcarts filled with menus, banchan, and water...it's pretty fun to watch. They shoot over to your table drop everything off, and they are gone! Once they come back around, you are able to order....and then they show up with your food on the cart. Its that simple! The surprising part was that you never receive tableware or napkins. There is a hidden shelf built into your table and everything is inside! The dishes we tried were tasty and the portion size was decent. We weren't blown away by the flavors, but it was satisfying. The items were a little expensive for what they was...but that's everything nowadays... This is your place if you need a quick, expedited sit-down Korean restaurant. It's relatively fast, and you can eat and get out of there if you really need to. Enjoy!

Yelp
I heard that MDK noodles is as close as you can get to authentic kalguksu in the states. There is plenty of seating inside so even though I came on a Sunday during dinner I was seated right away. The server brought over complimentary plates of red and white kimchi as soon as we were seated. The red kimchi is very garlicky and fresh; just like how I like it. The white kimchi wasn't too vinegary and very lightly pickled. I like the variety and it's a nice break between bites of your main entree. I got the kalguksu with anchovy broth which came with lots of wood ear mushrooms, some slices and carrots, zucchini, and onion. It's a huge bowl of noodles and will definitely fill you up. The broth so so thick but subtly sweet and savory. I didn't try the kalguksu in spicy chicken broth but I believe it comes with ground beef on top. The pork bulgogi had a lot of onions in it (like half of the dish) so beware if aren't the biggest fan of onions. There was always a server walking around with a cart to refill your water or kimchi at all times. I would love to come back to give the cold noodles a try!

Yelp
Location: My dad said this was a popular Kalguksu (knife cut noodles) restaurant that opened a new location near us. It's in a bit of a dead plaza but still pretty easy to find. It wasnt crowded, even on a weekend night, so we were immediately seated. Service: Good service with attentive staff who helped us quickly whenever we called them over. Food: The food was overall great and met exactly what we were expecting. The cold noodles were very refreshing. My favorite dish was their kalguksu which had very chewy noodles. They make their dumplings in house so the dumplings were also great, my favorite one being their shrimp and pork. Thin, chewy skin! They are also known for their kimchi, which they sell larger batches of. It was very fresh and paired so well with everything. I wish I could take the leftover complimentary kimchi home, but understandably, you aren't allowed to (since they sell it separately). They still happily refill the kimchi while you are eating, though.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
Pretty spacious restaurant. Service is very friendly and welcoming and the ladies are constantly going around checking for water and kimchi refills. The kimchi is amazing by the way! Just a lot garlicky haha. I got the spicy kalguksu which was a first but it was good! Their dumplings are also really good.

Yelp
My favorite dumpling place! I always come here for their rice cake dumpling soup. This place is well known in Korea bc I believe it has a Michelin star. This place was recently remodeled and it looks great outside and inside. Before the plaza was really ghetto but now I feel safer coming here. Once you come here you'll be back for more. Service here is friendly and you can even buy a jar of their famous kimchi. It's so worth it. I buy about jar and take it to the Bay with me
google avatar

Yelp
So delicious as always! Love that they give you 3 plates of kimchi banchan: one white kimchi, one garlic kimchi and one EXTRA garlicky kimchi. It was so fricking good that we bought a 32oz jar for $17. They also sell a half gallon jar of kimchi for $34. Came on a Sunday lunch and they were very efficient: there was someone walking around with a dolly to disperse water and banchan every 10mins. Tons of tables inside so no wait at all. Pro tip: utensils and napkins are located in a side drawer under the table Parking: - plenty in large lot shared with other businesses
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is located next to Seafood City, so there's ample parking. It's somewhat difficult to spot this restaurant. We joke that this restaurant looks like the outside of an H&R Block lol. This was our second visit. We are IN LOVE with the kimchi here!! We kept asking for more plates of it. I ended up buying a jar of it. I ordered the dumpling soup, which was okay. My date ordered the cold noodle soup, which was soooo delicious. Service was great. The food came out fast and the server came back and checked on us throughout our meal. In terms of ambiance, it's not a very cute spot, but it's certainly delicious. We'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is delicious! I love the pork dumplings, theyre so chewy and flavorful. The noodles were both great, the naengmyeon was better than the kalguksu in my opinion. The sweet pear pairs well with the cold noodles. The kalguksu broth is delicious and hearty. Only complaints are that both noodles didnt come with much protein compared to noodles ratio. Service was great, super attentive and friendly. Speedy!! The inside is spacious and has tons of tables. Everything looks clean and well maintained. Only thing is the outside of the store looks intimidating and the plaza its located in doesnt feel very popular.
google avatar

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Such good noodles! Bomb kimchi that has a strong and addicting garlic taste. I get the hype, it's worth it! Cold - order the arrowroot noodles if you're craving that clumpy, delicious naengmyeon texture Cold knife cut noodles end up being firmer, still pleasant but less reminiscent of the cold noodles I'm used to Hot - very spicy Dumplings - paper thin wrapper that was fantastic, made the meat filling really stand out (pockets of meat), like shumai.

Yelp
My new friend Jessica and I met here in Anaheim because she works in Anaheim. We met for the first time at the Long Beach Convention Center event just the day before. We had so much in common we couldn't wait to see each other again so here we are at this restaurant near her work. We ordered my favorite dish to order in a Korean restaurant, which is Pork Bulgogi. It was quite expensive $26.95 however when I looked at another Korean restaurant, same menu item it was $28 in Temecula. I guess that's the going price now. But it was a big turn off that the little half cup of rice is supposed to serve one person but when we asked for another, they said it cost $3. So we did not get it. I told the server we could buy a whole bag of rice for $3. He did give us an additional soup when I asked him for another bowl so I could share the one soup with Jessica. I said do we have to pay extra and he says no on the soup, so he would not give us an extra rice. So much spicy sweet pork and so little rice. Another Yelp reviewer mentioned the same that they had to pay for an additional dish of rice. I would not pay that much. Then when we asked for an additional takeout box to take home the kimchi, the server showed us the sign on the table that we are not allowed to take the kimchi home. I never heard that in a Korean restaurant ever before. In other Korean restaurants we're allowed to eat as much kimchi as we can and get refills on the kimchi. But we do not refill this time even once. I told the server they are required to throw everything that is brought to the table away so why was he promoting waste by not letting us take the kimchi with us. He said he only worked there that was the owner's policy and he had to follow the policy. Well we stuffed it in the box anyways that's why he wouldn't give us another box. That box didn't fit the Bulgogi and I had to eat some more just so we could close the lid So I am not rating five stars, as I thought the restaurant felt stingy to me, and their rules were odd about the kimchi. Furthermore I felt the $26.95 for pork was so expensive. Because for three more dollars I could order a 14 oz boneless prime rib with two sides and delicious yeast bread for $29 at Texas Roadhouse where I ate only 2 days before. I also did not like the sign in front of the restaurant above the door. They just moved there as with the other businesses and had temporary banner signs but this sign said in huge letters we are open. But did not say who we is except in much smaller letters that did not help you find the restaurant. I wish I took a picture of the very poorly marketed and designed sign.

Yelp
I came on a Sunday afternoon with a large party and it was busy as there weren't many workers to customers ratio. Luckily we were seated right away. It is nice, spacious, and renovated inside. There's also plenty of parking outside. -I got to try a little bit of everything the pork dumplings were thick with filling and delicious. -The hot stone bulgogi bibimbab was mostly veggies and not flavorful even after adding the sauces they provided. -The pan fried dumplings were crunchy not much flavor. -The black bean rice cake with added noodles the rice cake had a great texture but again flavorless. -The pork bulgogi was so soft, mushy, and so oily that's all I could taste. -Mixed spicy arrowroot noodles were just okay not memorable. -My favorite thing besides the pork dumplings was the kimchi it was amazing refreshing and delicious. They give you free refills I ate 2-3 trays. Each refill will tastes different though I'm assuming it's different batches of kimchi. The only thing that saved any of the dishes was being able to add their kimchi to the top. If I came back I would only come for the kimchi because everything else is too over priced to be ok/underwhelming in taste. Tip the utensils and napkins were neatly tucked in a compartment underneath the table!

Yelp
We ordered the spicy kalguksu, spicy chewy noodle (jjolymyeon), and pork dumplings. The kalguksu is so good. I've been to the Koreatown location and remember the bowl being bigger over there but maybe my perception of size is incorrect. I liked the spicy chewy noodle, but I prefer hot soups. I could feel the spice for the chewy noodle but not the kalguksu. The pork dumplings were really good as well that we ordered another one. The kimchi is SO GOOD like I could eat a whole jar on my own. It's spicy and delicious. They sell their kimchi, so I'll buy it one day.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place based on the reviews. I got the nengmyun and the shrimp and pork dumplings. Good food. Kimchi is really good. Looking forward to eating the kalgook soo next time.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
If you have a craving for Korean noodles, this is the place to go! This restaurant also had delicious bulgogi and dumpling soup. That said, the menu was not large nor did it have a large variety that you would expect to see at other Korean restaurants. Also there weren't any drinks other than water (at least none were posted on the menu). Lastly, the restaurant ambiance is not remarkable. Regarding service, it was good!
google avatar

Yelp
Came for dinner on a weekday, so there wasn't a rush and service was relatively quick. Plenty of parking but its not located in the best plaza and pretty dark. Inside is spacious and bright - its a big room with tables every few feet to maximize capacity. We were served kimchi banchan (so good and so fresh!) and our choice of hot tea or ice water right upon arrival. We ordered: - Rice Cake & Dumpling Soup (hot) - Spicy Kimchi Green Chlorella Noodle (cold) - Pan Fried Dumplings My favorite of these three was the cold noodles - the texture of the noodles was the perfect chewy and the cold soup was refreshing. The spicy was tolerable, even for myself who has lower tolerance in spice. I'd still enjoy the non-spicy more though. The pan fried dumplings were bite size with a nice crispy, but the filling (pork and veggie) didn't do too much for me. I would say it lacked flavor and juiciness. Oh, we took the hot soup home and when the lady brought us our container, she also noted that we're not able to take the kimchi side dish home! That's totally fine but it seemed like a waste because there was a lot of kimchi left given a worker had refilled our dish shortly before. Minus one star for the price because despite being decent (not bad but not great), each dish was $17.99 and didn't feel quite worth it when I can get something just as good in Buena Park.
google avatar

Jocelyn P.

Yelp
The service was great :) I'm not sure who was working today, but the man in front was super attentive to us. The food was not our favorite. In the nicest way, it was a bit bland. The kimchi pancake didn't have kimchi flavor. The kalguksu was fine, but I definitely should've gotten the spicy one or maybe the anchovy broth. Mandu was pretty yummy. The kimchi banchan they give out is SO good though. I can see why they sell it by the jar. I'd come again, but would order different dishes.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Got the mul nengmyun and Knife cut spicy chicken broth with beef. Food was alright but wasn't anything super special in my opinion. service was good though and I can't complain about anything here but it also did not stand out to me.

Yelp
The first time was so good but at the second time food was just ok. but their kimchi is one of the best in OC. service was good and fast.

Yelp
I am very familiar with mdk noodle in LA, but this was my first time at the anaheim location and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is spacious and has plentiful tables. AC was strong which was nice on a hot summer day. Service is quick. For some reason they didnt give us kimchi until we asked for it but make sure to get it because it really adds to the meal! The portions are pretty large, so my friend and I got one kalguksu and got a sari (smaller portion) of the kalguksu for only $5. Definitely recommend doing this if you don't think you can finish an entire bowl of kalguksu on your own or want to try different things on the menu. The mandu was delicious and filled with meat and juicy broth.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this place in years and wanted to make the trip as a gift to myself for my birthday. Brought my girls along for their first time and i was surprised as it looked like it had an update to the interior. It was a welcome change, the staff was friendly and provided quick and great service. They provide two types of kimchi to eat after being seated, with water and a small water picture to continue drinking water, as well as napkins and utensils that are located in a drawer at the underside of the table. I ordered their spicy green cold noodles, as that's the dish i ordered many years ago when i visited and it was just like I remembered. I also received a small hot soup with my noodles which was delicious. My youngest daughter ordered their chicken brother dumpling and noodle soup, while my oldest had the spicy chicken broth noodle soup. We left very full and very satisfied. I'll definitely be back and won't let so much time go by. Missed this place

Yelp
Came around 11 am on a Sunday and there was no wait. Plenty of tables inside but it got busy as we were eating. I ordered the kalguksu and the portion was huge! The noodles are chewy and the broth flavorful. It tasted pretty similar to the location in Korea.
google avatar

Chong Y.

Yelp
PROS: - The parking lot here is HUGE! - The space inside is HUGE! - The knife cut noodles here are fantastic. The noodles are slightly chewy, broth is hearty, and a good portion of noodles. - The dumplings here are very delicious! - The real STAR here is their KIMCHEE. OMG. Literally the best kimchee I've ever had. You can even purchase bottles of it if you want. - Our server was fantastic and checked on us consistently. CONS: - None.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Newley renovated with more seat but I am sad that they took away the booth as it was better seating option for my toddler. Inside the new setting reminds me of food court as it's very casual with open space. Service is better than before as they are more friendly and attentive. I think the servers here work hard as they are multi-tasking and they are good at it. I think operation and team coordination is good here as despite how busy they are, they give you good service I love their kimchi, knife cut noodle, and dumplings!
google avatar

Celina N.

Yelp
Came here and had to wait awhile since it was so busy, but it was worth the wait since the food was so good. We ordered the Hot Stone Bulgogi Bibimbap, Dumpling Soup and the Hot Stone Bibimbap. The dumpling soup was so good and it seems like this is family owned. Love to support local businesses.

Yelp
Its still the bomb..... Myulchi kalguksu hit at a soul level, bibim kalguksu is bomb, kimchi pancake was 7/10, and pork dumplings were so juicy and good!!!!
google avatar

Allison L.

Yelp
Was fairly busy Sunday for an early lunch 11AM, my sister and I both got the chicken kalguksu. Huge portions for $17 and tons of parking. Tastes pretty similar to the one in Korea but the mandu in the soup wasn't very soft
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
-We ordered regular kalguksu and spicy kalguksu. The regular was delicious, the spicy was OK. -Big parking lot, big space inside, very clean -A bit pricy for what it is

Yelp
Nothing beats their bibim guksu on a hot day and this place is my favorite! I love bringing my halmoni here--it's our little tradition after church. The noodles are super fresh and have that perfect chewy, bouncy texture. It's definitely spicy ( that's what the broth on the side is for) , but the flavor is so good it's totally worth it. The servers are always super attentive, and their kimchi? Absolutely delicious. It's the perfect spot for some comfort food!

Yelp
A standard place to visit if you're craving kalguksu or cold noodles, but overall just average quality. I was here on a Saturday night with party of 2 and got seated immediately. We ordered the knife cut chicken kalguksu, pork dumplings, and the spicy naengmyeon. The kalguksu broth was light but not very flavorful. The naengmyeon was way too salty that I couldn't enjoy the dish. Pork dumplings was the only dish I would reorder.

Yelp
Came here on New Year's Day for dumpling soup as traditional for my peeps. This was the 1st time visiting MDK. The facility is rather big w/many tables. We arrived right after opening so no waiting around. We were greeted by I believe the owner and the lady was very nice. We ordered the fried dumplings, rice cake and dumpling soup and bibimbap. The soup was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. The bibimbap was huge, enough for 2 people. The only thing I didn't like was the fried dumplings, which were really small and a little cold when we received it. But besides that, a great find while looking for a rice cake soup place near Anaheim. We will definitely come here again. Check out the pics!

Yelp
Driven by so many times but finally decided to go in for lunch. Nice interior like it was recently remodeled. Menu and food were delicious. Nice to try something other than KBBQ. Great service and helpful if you have questions. Looking forward to trying out other new items next time.

Yelp
This was my first time trying knife cut noodles. I got the spicy chicken broth. You get regular kimchi and white kimchi. Both were delicious. The noodles were chewy and held the broth well. I just felt like it was a little on the bland side. Not sure if it's just meant to be light. It was spicy but nothing crazy. Portion is huge. Plenty of parking. Came here for lunch during a weekday and had a good amount of people but still seated right away. Would love to come back and try the spicy cold noodles.

Yelp
We got the fried dumpling and kalguksu. Nice combo. Big serving. If you're not a big eater, definitely will fill 2 stomach up. Kalguksu is delicious. Savory and noodles not too soggy. They offer extra soup after noticing that my soup almost ran out. Attentive and super nice staff. Fried dumpling is tiny but yummy. Dip with soy vinegar sauce to amp up the flavor. Their fresh kimchi is very delicious. No wonder they offer for you to buy by the jar. White kimchi is delicious too, but the red one is where it's at. Located in the seafood city plaza. Looks kinda whacky with no businesses around, but this place is legit. Big place inside and they do have quite a bit of customers at lunch rush.

Yelp
This restaurant had a makeover and upgrade. It's very big inside and looks well kept as it may have just opened recently. There's only one waiter and she seems to speak mostly Korean but can understand English. They're known for the noodle soup but the Kim chi is also really good which is why they sell it separately. One order of noodle soup can feed 2-3 people because there's so much noodles.
