4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"While some avoid eating hot foods during the summer months, others embrace soups, stews, and porridge year-round. For those who fall in the latter camp, head to Myung Ga Haejangguk in Arcadia for a bevy of well-executed Korean soups and stews. The portions are hefty and served with a trio of simple but excellent banchan (kimchi, radishes, and chives)." - Eater Staff

Myung Ga Haejangguk Review - Gardena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"When a dish is literally named “hangover soup,” you know it’s going to be good for what ails you. And at soup specialist Myung Ga, which has locations in Gardena, La Cañada Flintridge, and Arcadia, the spicy haejangguk—a crimson-colored soup made with bean sprouts, radish, cabbage, ox blood cubes, and beef brisket—is practically a life-giving tonic on days when that brain fog won’t lift. Alternate sips of the rich beef stock with bites of white rice and kimchi and you’ll be back to your soju-sipping ways in no time. Be sure to ask for refills of their free iced barley tea, too—we’ll take it over a bottle of Pedialyte any day." - Garrett Snyder

Yelp
They are famous for their incredibly rich and milky beef bone soup, My personal favorite, though, is the braised pork feet. It's tender, marinated just right, not overly seasoned so you can still savor the natural gelatinous texture and taste of the pork. The dish is served with a selection of super fresh sides, wrapped everything together , super yummy! Everything arrived promptly and with care. Place is very clean and cozy. You come here for the food and the warm, down-to-earth vibe.

Yelp
We got the Bossam and it is one of the best I have tried in awhile. The Napa cabbage is fresh and slightly salty which is good with the pork belly and banchans. They give you a generous amount of garlic and jalapenos instead of a small portion which is a plus. Pork belly was not too dry and had a good amount of fat to meat ratio per slice. Garlic also had a slight spicy taste which is a nice addition to the salted shrimp . Overall a 10/10 for the dish with the accompanying banchans. The food was brought out quickly and promptly with staff who were attentive and friendly. The vibe is clean and pleasant with lots of natural sunlight and tables. The restaurant ambiance was calm yet peaceful which is nice. Perfect for a chill vibe out with family and friends to enjoy Korean food. Will come back to try the other dishes!

Yelp
Soup and sides are wonderful. Their fish cake is so good. I'm not too big on kimchi but I devour plates of their kimchi. I get the #7 ox tail soup with different meats. Nice small spot.

Yelp
Finally got around to coming back to this spot and was super satisfied with their soups. This time around I only came with a party of two so we ended up sharing two soups. Galbitang - SOOOO flavorful, the beef flavor is strong and I like it. This is a winner, last time I had the spicy and this time the regular. Both are good! (5/5) Sullungtang - It's definitely the lightest tasting sullungtang I've had in terms of flavor. It's on the blander side but with a little bit of added salt it's perfect. Flavors are good and loved the brisket. (4.5/5) This spot is so comforting and the food taste real healthy. Comes with 3 side dishes (fish cake, kimchi, and pickled daikon) which are all refillable as well as a bowl of white rice per soup dish. Definitely a go-to for local Korean soups for me. Parking - They have a lot behind the restaurant so it's pretty easy.

Yelp
This place always hit the spot! A bowl of galbitang and a plate of bossom are my go to. Service is here excellent. One of the server would even show us how to eat bossom! They're also very generous with their side dishes.

Yelp
Just found my new go-to spot for Korean soup! Also the perfect hangover cure. Ordered the soondae, mixed haejangguk, and soondaeguk. Everything was soooo good, I think the best Korean soup I've had in 626 area so far. Soondaeguk broth tasted clean and was so refreshing. Loaded with meat! The mixed haejangguk was mild in spice and very flavorful. Lot of veggies and meat, and the intestine suprisingly tasted very clean with no gaminess at all. Only thing I didn't like was the blood cake in the haejangguk; it was overcooked and very grainy with a STRONG blood taste. The side order of soondae came out hot and was so soft and tasted homemade. Not the best soondae I ever had, but delicious! I loveee their banchan too. Wasn't expecting this but hands down the best fish cake banchan I ever had!!! Their kimchi is delicious too if you prefer it fresh rather than super fermented. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon, but I hope more people find out about this place! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Myung Ga isn't exactly close to me, but I happened to be in the area and figured I'd finally give it a try. I ordered the bossam--portion was big enough for two, but overall it was just average. The pork had some good bites, but a few pieces were way too fatty in a not-so-great way. The place seems pretty popular, but honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Especially with how rude the cashier was. But A+ for the packaging for to go orders

Yelp
This is a hole in a wall korean soup spot located in Arcadia. It's one of my favorite places to go where I craved for korean soups without driving to ktown. There is street parking in front of the restaurant and a parking lot in the back. My bf and I got the galbitang and katsu to share. The food comes with banchan such as kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes. I really like the kimchi and radish here because it isn't too sour like how some places are. The galbitang came out and it was piping hot. The broth itself is very flavorful and you don't need to add any salt to it. The katsu was bigger than what we expected and we couldn't finish it. The waitress were really nice and restaurant is clean as well. Overall, I would be back here when I am craving for soup.

Yelp
The best Korean restaurant in the 626 area! I ordered the Spicy Galbitang, and I love how it came with a lot of meat and had just the right amount of spice! The bone broth was savory and authentic. They also use clear noodles which really absorbs the flavor of the broth! Service was spectacular! Because my soup was spicy and red, one of the waitresses gave me an apron to wear so that it wouldn't splash on my shirt. So thoughtful and sweet! She also came over to my table and actually helped me cut the meat off of the big bone when she saw me struggling to eat it, which I really appreciated! The meal also comes with a complimentary bowl of rice and Korean side dishes (fish cake, kimchi, and daikon). I also tried their Bossam and I would say it's ideally for bigger parties since the portion was pretty big. There's a free parking lot in the back of the restaurant, which is a huge PLUS. There are a lot of tables inside and everything is very clean! I noticed that they are definitely busier during dinner hours than lunch hours. Food is a bit on the pricier side, and they only offer metal chopsticks so sometimes it burned my lips when my chopsticks were in the soup for too long. Nonetheless, I would still come back again!

Yelp
I'm always craving Korean food and I'm so glad we discovered this place! The ladies working here are super nice and attentive. They kept refilling our water and sides! The restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of parking in the back. This was the first time I tried SPICY Galbitang and I freaking loved it! I love spicy food, so i'm glad they had this as an option. They also gave me those plastic disposable bibs to protect my shirt from the spicy red stains!

Yelp
Myung Ga Fun Facts: Myung Ga was founded by a team of like-minded foodies; a group of friends who have always liked to eat, drink, and create amazing food together. Our hobby quickly led us to opening this restaurant, a place where people from all over California can meet to enjoy our special dishes and comfortable atmosphere. Mission Statement: Founded in 2000, Myung Ga is known for revolutionizing the way people eat and enjoy Authentic Korean food. We take pride in our ability to discover the most unique flavors from around the world and share them with the people in California area. Join us to enjoy all soup served in boiling hot pot. Visitation Rights: 3 or 4 times Restroom: One restroom for men and one restroom for women. So a total of 2. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Location/Parking: Located next to The Station (dive bar). Tough to find parking in the shared lot during high traffic times, but there is street parking available along Baldwin Ave., on Naomi, or Duarte. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Wait Time: I can see this place get busy. The times that I've gone there wasn't much of a wait. You can now reserve a table through their yelp page. Service: For the most part, service is decent. Side Dish Offerings: With your entree, it comes with 4 side dishes: Kimchi, leek, kimchi kakkdugi (radish), and fish cake. Their kimchi and fish cakes are very good. Usually order extra of those. Note: You can't bring the kimchi or the kimchi kakkdugi home. So load up as much as you can while you dine in. Soup Of Choice(s): Very yummy! Can't go wrong with either: 1) Gamja-tang (pork neck bone, potatoes, cabbage, scallions, water celery, sesame leaf with spicy pork soup). Hearty, delicious, and great for the soul. 2) Galbitang (beef short ribs, glass noodle, scallions with beef broth): Hearty, delicious, and great for the soul. Myung Ga For Thought: Cold weather means more soup for me! More incentive to come back for more soup! Yesssssirrrriiiiitos!

Yelp
been here three times. 1. sunji haggenguk 7/10 flavorful and nice 2. yuk gaejang 10/10 big portion and very flavorful and lots of spicyness 3. spicy gaitang 4/10.. big pieces of bones and meat attached to the bones gives the illusion of a big amount, less overall service was nice sometimes. you can stay past closing time for 20 minutes then they rush you out. ‍. clean environment, although someone could contaminate all the utensils in the table

Yelp
Saw this in the top rated for years and never bother to come and finally did because a friend wanted to. Now I feel like I've missed out for so many years! - bossam 5/5 - I would say this is definitely their specialty! My first time having it and it was amazing! Seems like a sort of boiled or steamed pork that you dress with a few toppings on the plate and then treat it like a wrap with super fresh crispy lettuce - gamja tang 4/5 - flavorful stew, great for colder weather - bonchon(korean side dishes) 5/5 - some of the best spiced radishes I've ever had, perfect flavor

Yelp
If you're craving comforting Korean soups and classic dishes, Myung Ga Haejangguk is the place to be! We tried the sullangtang, gamja tang, bossam, and soondae, and everything was solid across the board. Sullangtang: Milky, rich broth with just the right level of seasoning (you can adjust it yourself, which is a nice touch). Perfectly tender beef and noodles made it super satisfying. Gamja Tang: Hearty and packed with flavor. The pork fell off the bone, and the broth had that perfect spicy kick. Bossam: The sliced pork was tender, and pairing it with the wraps and sides was a flavor explosion. Soondae: Generous portions, with that authentic earthy flavor you'd expect from good soondae. The portions here are huge, so come hungry or be ready to take leftovers home. The servers were attentive and kept the cabbage and side dishes refilled without us even asking--a major plus. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The ambiance could use a bit of a refresh, and the wait time during peak hours can stretch a little. But honestly, the food makes up for it. If you're looking for comforting, homey Korean food with big portions, this spot delivers!

Yelp
I'm so glad this place exists in 626 and I don't have to go all the way to ktown for authentic Korean food!! The bossam is really good and was able to feed 8 people. We all got soups on the side to share but the plate is huge! I HIGHLYY recommend the tukbaegi if you like sukiyaki and a sweeter broth. Comes with a lot of meat in it, good for 2 ppl I would say. The sides and bonchon are all super fresh too.

Yelp
I had bookmarked this spot for ages and never got to try it until today. The restaurant wasn't huge, but it was able to accommodate our large party. They had a shared private lot behind the business and a few spots right infront as well. We were warmly greeted and presented with several side dishes immediately. The sides were fresh and well seasoned, but the kimchi was too garlicky for my personal tastes. We ordered a soup and katsu to try, and both were really good! Yukgaejang: I loved that the soup wasn't just a large bowl of spiciness, despite the looks. You could really taste the flavors of the veggies in the dish. I loved the contrast of the shredded beef with the enoki and bean sprouts. I did add a little more salt to the soup, but otherwise it was delicious! Portion was huge too. Pork cutlet: the cutlet was super crispy, and the sauce it came with was slightly sweetened. My kids loved this dish, and the portion was large too. Overall, we had a great dinner here tonight. All my friends enjoyed their dishes as well. The service was very friendly and helpful. They would notice that we needed something and would bring it over and ask if we would like it. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Absolutely love the bossam and donkatsu! Staff here are always super sweet & friendly.

Yelp
We ordered the Bossam, LA galbi combo with galbitang. Portion is enough for 3 of us for lunch and enough leftovers for dinner. Good deal.

Yelp
It was around 4pm Saturday and we were craving Korean nearby and this place was close by and new to me. We parked in and entered through the back, plenty of parking spots given the banks were all closed. There are seating tables in the back patio as well, however we chose to sit near the windows in the front. Plenty of seating and not busy since it's too early for dinner and late for lunch. The place specializes in soup, however, given we just came back from and outdoor pumpkin patch, we decided to order bossam. In addition, my toddler got really fussy since he was hungry from all the play at the pumpkin patch, the staff was very generous and patient to help with a side dish and rice to calm him down while we order. They also provided water and tea jugs. The bossam looked amazing, plenty of side dishes and pork belly. The radishes were especially delicious with the pork and cabbage. Radishes were not too spicy but still had a nice kick. The pork was tender and fatty, my toddler ate quite a few pieces. We ate everything except the chilies and kimchi (we were too full to eat all the kimchi). Overall it was great, we spent roughly 50$ among the two adult and a toddler, plus tip. I'd probably try other dishes next time. Restrooms are gendered and for one person at a time.

Yelp
Not as good as Moobongri Soondae, but still a solid choice for Korean soup. The beef brisket in the haejangguk is so tender and the amount is pretty fair, which is probably the best part about it. I also liked that there wasn't an overwhelming amount of ox blood - it was just enough to get a taste of it. The cabbage pieces were huge, and I think I would have liked their haejangguk more if they took the time to cut the cabbage into smaller, bite-sized pieces. The pork belly soup was alright, mainly because the quality of the pork belly slices wasn't as good as the ones at Moobongri. These ones didn't have much texture or flavor. We waited about 15 minutes for the soups, but they came out piping hot and nothing inside was overcooked. The fish banchan was very solid. The kimchi was fresh but very mild tasting. Sadly, they do not serve alcohol.

Yelp
First time trying this place because I love pork bossam. They have plenty of parking in the back of the parking lot. When I arrived the place was empty so we got seated right away since we were here for an early dinner on a Tuesday 5:30pm. The menu doesn't have much option just soup, cutlet and pork bossam. We ordered the pork bossam (43$) and 2 oxtail glass noodle soup (21$ each). Food came out fast, it came with sides and their radish was amazing we kept asking for more. But the kimchi in my opinion was a little too salty for me. Bossam was amazing super tender and pairs so well with all the fermented veggies. The oxtail meat in the soup was so tasty and tender (fall off the bone) but the soup was a little salty for me. Overall this place is not bad and would come back for the pork belly!

Yelp
I love bossam so super excited to have a korean restaurant in the SGV that serves this dish. The bossam is perfect for 2 people. It's good but not as good as ktown's. Service was fast though and they dont skimp on the banchan refills. There is a parking lot in the back. Came here during lunchtime on a weekend and I didn't have to wait.
google avatar

Lyane P.

Yelp
Came here with 2 friends for a girls' night and we shared the Bossam and the Galbitang. So much food and it was all delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful. The soup to noodles ratio was perfect. There was a handful of banchan-kinda wish there was a bit more variety. I would definitely come again.

Yelp
My favorite spot for Bossam! So delicious, so fresh, so yummmmmmm! The bossam here is a must! The pork belly is juicy and flavorful, the sides it come with, the Napa is crispy, lightly fermented, the radishes, kimchi, and fish cakes are absolutely delicious! Trust me get this! You can go wrong. They have a variety of soup to choose from as well and we usually go with this red one. I forgot what it's called. But it was packed with glass noodles, shredded beef, sprouts, and the spice level is adjustable. Super flavorful beefy broth. Parking is plenty Service is great! Super friendly staff and they teach you how to eat the bossam if you e never had it before.
google avatar

Christine V.

Yelp
I'm glad I don't have to drive far to get bossam now. Came as a party of 3 and ordered the bossam and 2 soups to share, and it was a lot of food. The pork belly was tender and it's fun to make wraps. Their kimchi and radish is delicious. Their galbitang is flavorful and comforting. The sulluntang tasted nice and clean. The staff are attentive and checked on us to refill water and kimchi.
google avatar

Courtney A.

Yelp
Amazing! I've never been a big pork fan unless it's saucy or cured, and even I think this bossam is delicious. The place is small but gives a home style/family night vibes. Very clean and the staff were sweet. The waitress excitedly explained how to eat the bossam (I already knew how but it was sweet nonetheless). The bossam was slightly warm (I've only had it cold before but it was yummy)! The cabbage served with the bossam is slightly blanched so it made it easy to make each wrap. The soybean paste was a yummy addition (not too salty). The kimchi was good but I've never seen a place say you can't take leftover kimchi. The soup was spicy even though it's described as spicy. The veggies in it were good and the noodles weren't overcooked. I'd come back and probably try another soup. And of course more bossam!
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
The service was great! Also the Korean food was good (although I don't know how it compares to super authentic food, but it felt like it was). I had the pork gukbap, which had a lot of pork (but not a lot of noodle). The flavor was light, but from what I've read, that's how the dish is. I wasn't a big fan of the blood sausage, but I believe that's my personal preference, so take that with a grain of salt. All in all, I would come back for the gukbap!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Solid spots for soups and bossam. I noticed everyone also ordered the tonkatsu which was ginormous! Will definitely try that next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Just found this place and i wish i would have come sooner! Best shredded beef soup in the SGV so far. I love this place. Great home cooked meals vibe!

Yelp
Food is amazing! There are variation of customers that come dine here on are families, young and older crowds as well. Parking: Back parking lot has a lot space. Easy and plenty of parking shared between all the restaurants. Service: More on the faster side, what I mean is you kind of order quick when it's around rush hour. There are lot of Korean Ahjummas that wait the tables so they'll be able to explain to you if you ask them recommendations. I believe you order as it is and you're not allowed to adjust your food order. All orders come with banchan (Korean dishes: kimchi radish, radish and sauce, small rice bowl). Yukgaejung: It's more spicy oil than pain spice. I would be very careful with soup splashes and use the tongs and scissors provided to cut the noodles and scoop up the food. It's a pretty decent size bowl about 1.5 hand sizes to share between two people to make you feel content. Spicy Galbitang: I would recommend getting this dish if you like slight spicy, glass noodles and it has some shredded beef short rib. Dish overall was good, I also would not recommend wearing nice because of the oil splash back.

Yelp
Another one of the best (1/2) only good authentic Korean spots for good ass Korean food in the 626. Always treated good service by the ladies there. There are a lot of sleeper items there so far here's my favorite 1. Oxtail soup 2. Soondae guk 3. Donkatsu 4. Seollungtang 6. Galbitang My partners favorite is their pork gukbap because he likes how the broth is prepared differently than traditional jinsols gukbap. To be honest I find their yukgaejang and gamjatang very lacking. But that's why I recommend the ones that I posted. They do serve you the traditional barley tea water which is always a plus. Their kimchi and ggakdugi is always on point. And u know we tired of restaurants mid fish cake banchan but I will be eating theirs here it's prepared very light and delicious. Myung ga is a genuine matjjib in the 626 with young dong
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. Very authentic Korean dishes. I would recommend coming with a group of 4 people or more so you can get the bosam as well as other dishes to try. The bosam alone will fill 2 people and they give you little side dishes. So if you want to get more options to try, definitely bring a group of family and or friends. The staff speak little English but are super friendly. They will explain how to eat each dish if this is your first time. I ate it the way they taught me since I feel it's more authentic that way but feel free to eat it how you like. Definitely a place to try if you havent.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday for lunch. I ended up making reservations but had to adjust the seating but they were super accommodating. There is a big shared parking lot in the back of the restaurant for parking. I enter through the backdoor which I think is the main entry. I think it will be hard to find parking on Baldwin. We decided to order the bossam and a soup. The bossam when eaten with the sweet radish kimchi and their other sides was delicious. I can eat this all day. The fresh cabbage was great and I'm glad they cut it for you to give the perfect individual wrap. The beef soup with noodles was very comforting. It had sliced tender beef. It had a good balance. I didn't even have to add any additional seasoning. The service was awesome. The workers were really sweet and helpful. Overall, if you're craving good Korean food around the area this place is for you.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
My first time trying bossam and it was delicious! Banchan was good. They were attentive to check if we needed refills. A great spot in SGV.
google avatar

Toma C.

Yelp
The place has horrible parking during lunch. The service was okay. Now the food. The bossam seems to be popular here. It feeds two people. I didn't think it was worth it. The bone soup had like three pieces of rib and very little glass noodles. If you crave it I guess come here. I didn't feel that it was worth the money we got two things and out the door tip and all it was 90.00 for LUNCH. Too much imo See my photos.

Yelp
We ordered the bossam and the galbitang. They don't serve alcohol, but serve barley water and soft drinks. I was there for a first date and it was empty at 4:30pm on a Wednesday. The young waiter was super nice. The banchans that came with the bossam paired well with it. The bossam was tender and flavorful. I was more impressed with the galbitang. The soup had a lot of flavor and it was very clear. The galbi was a little overcooked and chewy, but the soup made it wonderful. We were offered additional broth to top it off, which was unexpectedly generous of the restaurant. Overall, the food is good. There are no extra frills and that's okay. I like that their menu isn't overly complicated with too many dishes.

Yelp
Came on a Monday for dinner with a friend and was impressed with the quality of the food and service here. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately at 6PM. They had 3 different types of banchan (radish, chives, and kimchi) that were all tasty and had the classic barley tea for the table as well. I ordered the Spicy Soondaeguk ($18.99) and my friend ordered the regular Soondaeguk ($17.99), each came with a bowl of white rice. We both really enjoyed our food, and the soup was flavorful. However, I did wish that there were more pieces of soondae. The spicy soondaeguk soup was also a bit too spicy for me, but the waiter kindly offered to dilute the spice and added more regular broth to my dish. Although the portion sizes were on the smaller end for the price, it definitely beats driving to Ktown to get delicious soup. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and there are plenty of parking spots in the back lot. Would come back to try their other dishes!
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
The sullugtang soup here is so comforting! It's not my favorite compared to some other places in Ktown, but it hits the spot. You'll need to add salt and ask for their soy dipping sauce, but it's so good and the serving always feeds me for two meals. We got the bossam to share for two and it was enough with a little left over. The kimchi here is the best!!! I dream about it and wish I knew their secrets haha I've never had kimchi like theirs at any other restaurant! Quick and efficient service. Cozy place for a dinner, I've never had to make a reservation.

Yelp
First time trying soondae guk at this restaurant. I've been here and tried their Galbi tang and it didn't disappoint. Soondae is so good, I wonder how it tastes if it's not in soup. The service is so fast, the auntie is so nice, they are very attentive, my phone almost fell and she help me with that. Really enjoy the vibe as kpop music being played in the background. It was quiet for Sunday night, and we will be back! Parking is plenty and free in the back
google avatar

Shirley T.

Yelp
Parking: Plenty out back! Ambience: Simple but well-kept, good amount of seating available Service: Very friendly! We were consistently asked if we wanted more barley tea and banchan (Korean side dishes, e.g. pickled radishes, kimchi, etc.) any time any of them got a little low. It's never too busy, so they're great at remaining attentive throughout the meal. Taste: I've had both the sullungtang and pork gukbop, and both are fairly good. The sullungtang is mild and clear, and pairs well with the fermented banchan. The pork gukbop is great in and of itself, with so much rich and hearty flavor. Each of them came with a bowl of rice included. Great place for a chill lunch / dinner with a small group!

Yelp
I expected to sit and have a normal lunch, but I was wrong! This was one of the crunchiest Katsu I've ever had! The servers were so nice, they even helped me pack my leftovers! The setting was calm and smelled like a local korean restaurant.

Yelp
Price: $$ Ambiance: Small and clean mom/pop type of restaurant. I went when it first opened so not too many people and there was no wait to be seated. Service: Very quick. They took our orders right away and the food came out in a decent time. Food: My friend and I ordered the bossam and it was DELICIOUS. I used to go to the popular bossam place in Ktown but since this local restaurant opened, I will definitely be coming here more. Definitely worth giving this place a try!

Yelp
I was coming here quite often, whether it was for dining or take out. A friend came to town to visit and wanted some Korean food so we took him to this spot. We got the bossam and soondae to share, two galbitang and a mixed sullungtang. Unfortunately, the sides did not taste the same as before. Their kimchi and radish used to taste sooo good and I would get refills of it. There's something different about them this time and three people did not even finish the sides. They now have fish cake as a side now, which they never had before. Also, there's a waitress there I met for the first time. I can tell she is trying to be friendly but her vibe wasn't it! She started joking how she is going to go home with our credit card and mentioned how she has never done it before? lol

Yelp
It was my first time here and i really enjoyed my visit! The food, service, and ambiance all really hit the spot for me. The restaurant is definitely more casual and has mom and pop vibes. The server recommended the beef short rib soup and noted it was one of the most popular items. The soup and broth looks very plain but it is packed with amazing flavor and the meat is tender and soft. A very rich and savory dish. I had never had this dish before and was struggling to portion it into smaller bowls. One of the female workers came by and showed me how to cut the meat of the bone and how to eat it. I was relieved and really appreciated the help! It made me feel very nostalgic as if I was having a family dinner. The bossam was also very delicious and the barely tea was refilled really quickly whenever I finished. Definitely will return and am excited to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
YUM. I love bossam and this is a great place to get it. We split the smallest size between two people and ended up with about half of the portion leftover to take home. Their kimchi was my favorite side dish but they were all great. The combo of the bossam, napa, raw garlic, and samjjang is perfect! We were seated right away on a Saturday night in a clean restaurant and the staff was friendly. No complaints!

Yelp
Came here for dinner one night. The service was nice as it had been a while since I last went to a Korean restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and she recommended the pork gukbap and the spicy galbitang soup. The banchan and rice were first brought out. The banchan consisted of: fish cake, radish and kimchi. The banchan were definitely delicious. When the soup came they allowed you to salt to your liking. The galbitang seemed to be more flavorful but that was probably expected due to the spice level. Overall the place was a nice little spot to have some Korean dishes. It does eventually get busy but luckily when I came there wasn't a wait. Would definitely come back to satisfy the Korean soup cravings

Yelp
For a Saturday night we were actually surprised at how fast the wait went by! The food was so so so good, very family friendly atmosphere too. We got the bossam and it was so different from other places, it was slightly sweeter and all of the side dishes had so much more depth of flavor than usual! They also give you so much garlic and peppers! Amazing presentation too. Wish they served alcohol but still a wonderful experience.

Yelp
The worst Korean restaurant that I've tried in my entire life. I think a Korean restaurant in the middle of a dessert will taste better than this place. How do you have such high ratings? We ordered beef short rib soup and spicy pork bone soup. After literally having a sip of the soups, we knew we had to leave. So we got up, paid, and left. Don't even bother trying this place. Save your money and time.

Yelp
New spot in town for Korean food! We ordered the Soondaeguk and Sullungtang. Very heartwarming food, good for a cold day. Similar to Sun Nong Dan in which you salt it to your own preference. They don't really have a dipping soy sauce for the meats and etc, but they provide other pastes to accommodate for that. I would say that both spots are just as good! I want to highlight: I want to note that their banchan is top tier. Though their selection is fairly limited (fish cake, radish and kimchi), the flavor is better than other spots I've had. Overall, I can't wait to to be back and try the bossam and katsu next time.
