First, let's address the positive. The food is absolutely superb, and the portions are very generous. My dinner companion couldn't finish more than about half of hers, and although I shouldn't have eaten more than a similar portion of mine, I did and thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
So why isn't this a 5-star review? Read on...
Unlike any other Asian restaurant I've ever been to anywhere in the world, they do not serve hot tea. The beverage menu is all alcoholic beverages, and I don't drink. That leaves room-temperature water. To not offer a non-alcoholic option, and tea in particular, seems so me to be a very unwise decision. I'll probably never come back, and the beverage options are the sole reason. The owners need to keep in mind that they aren't the only Korean game in town, and the competition is pretty stiff.
On the service front, it could certainly have been better. There was only one server and one bus person, and although the place was no more than about half full, they both had their hands full. Our order was taken promptly but once the food arrived we never saw the server again until the check was presented.
The dining area is all hard surfaces; as a result it can be difficult to carry on a conversation without leaning across the table. The bus person didn't help matters any, with his seemingly careless, high-decibel handling of tableware and cutlery when he chucked it into the bus tray. The first time, I thought a stack of plates had fallen on the floor.
Not offering tea knocked off one star, as did the service from what otherwise would have been a pretty well-deserved five stars..
