Where To Get Chinese Delivery And Takeout In NYC

"Maybe you’ve been trying to turn a bag of frozen dumplings into soup dumplings like you’re a Hogwarts student in transfiguration class. That’s a nice idea. Whenever you give up on your spells, order some soup dumplings from Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao instead. They have locations in Flushing, Koreatown, and the East Village. See the full menu for each location and place your takeout or delivery order through their website here." - neha talreja, bryan kim, hannah albertine

The 20 Best Restaurants Near Penn Station

"A solid option for soup dumplings around Penn Station, Nan Xiang’s xiao long bao is bigger than most. This means more soup filling, but also higher potential for a busted dumpling (womp womp). Our favorites are the crab and pork, scallop, and luffa gourd. The rest of the food is a mixed bag though. Expect a boisterous crowd in the brightly lit, modern space with high ceilings and artwork featuring mountains. The room is spacious, but there can still be long waits—especially on weekend mornings." - bryan kim, willa moore, kenny yang, neha talreja, molly fitzpatrick

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao Review - East Village - New York - The Infatuation

"St. Marks has no shortage of good places to eat for less than $40 per person, and Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao numbers among them. The small Shanghainese chain with locations in Flushing and Koreatown is known for colorful xiao long bao and crunchy, layered scallion pancakes. At their gigantic, two-story East Village location, you'll watch chefs roll out dumplings behind a window. The soup dumplings themselves are good not mind-blowing, with slightly thicker skins than we'd like but nicely salty fillings. Keep this place in mind the next time you're looking for an impromptu group dinner in the area." - Will Hartman

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao Koreatown Review - Koreatown - New York - The Infatuation

"Soup dumplings are the specialty at this Koreatown location of Nan Xiang, a Shanghainese restaurant from Flushing. Expect a boisterous crowd in the brightly lit, modern space with high ceilings and artwork featuring mountains. The room is spacious, but know that there can still be long waits—especially on weekend mornings. Xiao long bao here are bigger than most, which means a couple of things. You get more soup filling, but the potential is high for a busted dumpling (womp womp). Our favorites are the crab and pork, scallop, and luffa gourd and we like the pan-fried udon and scallion pancake. The rest of the food is a mixed bag—some of the dim sum is too bland (turnip ham puffs) or mushy (sticky rice siu mai)." - Kenny Yang

Google
A table for 2 is small and a bit cramp if you ordered multiple dishes. I have been to other locations, and quality is consistent. Highly recommend you try the lucky six on your first visit to see what you like. The original pork soup dumplings are classic and must have. Truffle flavor is good if you are a fan. From previous visit, the ground luffa&shrimp one is surprisingly light so recommend if you want to try something new or enjoy milder flavor. I have tried the sea cucumber, ham, and abalone ones, but these are not as good as the simple classic.

Google
Back in NYC and after receiving two recommendations to try the soup dumplings I decided to hike down and give it a try. I selected the traditional pork soup dumplings. Very good size with the right amount of soup within. Unfortunately I did not find the broth very flavorful. The meatball was good. Sincerely the Soup Dumpling Aficionado 😋

Google
Girlfriend and I went here for dinner. Overall, very tasty and satisfying since we were extremely hungry coming to the restaurant. Really nothing particularly interesting to write about since it basically was solid and got the job done. Noodles were delicious and authentic but could use a little more meat in my opinion (I tend to say that no matter what though so who knows.) The pan fried buns were also authentic as well as amazing and juicy. The soup dumplings were also very interesting but some of the pieces were less exotic than I expected but still good. Finally the little purple desserts I didn't particularly like. It had no ube flavor only red bean. It was okay in my opinion: the only thing I wouldn't order again should I return. Service from waitresses was good and patient and tended to all my needs from water to tissues. Bathroom could use a little work in terms of cleanliness.

Google
Tldr: Amazing dim sum location! Atmosphere very comfortable and staff are friendly. Will definitely be coming back. Has a wide variety of Shanghai cuisine and dim sum that are very palatable for anybody. The dishes also look vibrant which complements their exquisite taste. However, our appetizer, the jellyfish and turnip salad, was a bit too salty. Otherwise, no notes for all the other dishes.

Google
I don’t remember what I ordered, but most of them were soup dumplings. All of them tasted super good. I love the fried rice and stir fry bok choy. It’s a recommended Michelin restaurant, so it’s always busy and full of table, make a reservation if you don’t want to wait long. 4 people only $90 for good service, good food and satisfaction. I think it’s worth it.

Google
We tried several dumplings and they all tasted great! Especially the soup dumplings were very delicious! The food came quickly and service was friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Google
The food is okay compared to other Chinese restaurants in Manhattan I’ve visited, but nothing really stands out. It lacks the wow factor, and I forget the taste the moment I leave the store, so there isn’t much to write about. If you see a 4* on a restaurant I review, that means the taste and everything is okay but not memorable.

Google
Visit: July 2024 Got the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings. The soup dumpling quality was very high. They were large and each one had a very unique flavour. They were all very good. The truffle one had the most unique flavour. There was a lot of soup in the dumplings, and the skin was very thin as well. Very delicious and highly recommend.

Yelp
While I am aware that New York does not lack authentic Chinese food, I thought everything I had here was just tasty and I didn't really know how else to describe them. My friend and I ordered some of their signature dishes and some dishes that we would eat while at home in China, and since my friend was a foodie, I had some expectations for this establishment, and was not disappointed. The soup dumplings contained a good amount of soup and had a lot of flavor, so the overall experience was very positive. The chicken soup was also very flavorful, and seeing the oil floating on the top made me recognize right away that it was going to be good. The chives boxes weren't as full as what I have had at home, and the chives taste wasn't as strong, but they were still really tasty. The fried rice wasn't too dry or too oily and had good flavor. The pressed tofu and celery dish offered a good contrasting experience since it was a cold dish and had the right amount of saltiness. Finally, the dumplings were just great since they had the perfect thickness for the skin, and were pretty big in size. With all of those ordered, my friend and I had a great time eating Chinese food and catching up. I am aware that this establishment has a few locations within the city, so I am glad to see it thriving and truly wish it best of luck in serving the local communities with quality Chinese food.

Yelp
So.... After trying the Express version in Houston, the wife made me go to the NYC one.... Uuummm. Still feels like fancy Panda Express.... 100% of the time when I was eating the crispy bottom baos I was thinking "one dragon makes this SO MUCH better." You know when you are at an Asian restaurant and the only Asian people in there are working.... Yeah.... Would I go back? Nah.... I would rather not. But I'm sure they will sell a lot of orange chicken in that drive thru....

Yelp
I see a lot of hype about this spot and I think it's fine. The place is clean and it is spacious. The food is fine but if you go to Chinatown, you will get similar quality or better and a lot cheaper and bigger portions (although those spots are more no frills vibe if youre ok with it). No wonder I saw majority of customers were non Asian. Fine but wanted to note that. If it's your first time, do get the signature 6 soup dumpling set (variety of diff) but we tried it in the past so went with the best one they had: crab and pork. The broth could be slightly more strong but overall this one is the best choice and pretty solid. Truffle pork soup dumpling was ok. You definitely taste the truffle oil in it and Im a fan of truffle but it was a bit overwhelming. For apps, get the kaofu which is a cold soybean vegan dish. Solid portion and tasty. The jellyfish and turnip was ok. I am used to more crunchy and thick (not soft) cantonese style cold platter jelly fish so the softer texture threw me off and the turnip to jellyfish ratio wasn't ideal (too many turnips).

Yelp
Pan fried dumplings 3/5 - too doughy, not enough crisp at the bottom. The amount of soup in them is inconsistent as well. Crab meat pork soup dumplings 5/5 - VERY juicy! Great amount of meat and the skin has a nice chew. Lots of crab which is fantastic.

Yelp
4.0 / 5.0 A Chinese restaurant in Koreatown. Perhaps because it's so popular that it was chosen by Michelin, the restaurant fills up by mid-day. The xiaolongbao dumplings are chewy and delicious! When taking out the xiaolongbao dumplings, be careful not to spill the soup inside because the skin is thin! I also recommend absorbing a little of the soup before eating! The Shanghai Fried Udon was also fragrant and delicious. All the staff serving food were wearing black masks. I guess they are very strict about hygiene. The restaurant is very spacious and has sofa seats, so it's fun even with children! It's a good idea to come with multiple people when eating Chinese food to enjoy a variety of dishes! You can share! what I ordered was : ・Dumplings Pork&Truffe ・Shanghai Siu Mai ・Pork & venerable wontons in Spicy Peanuts Sauce ・Shanghai Fried Udon ・Scallion Pancake ・Salty Sticky Rice Roll

Yelp
This michellin star resto sits on a busy street of nyc. Had to order the sampler dumplings, fried baked bread, red bean, and a noodle. Sorry, forgot what they're called. Everything was on point, flavorful, right portions, and reasonably priced! As a bonus, great customer service, fast service, clean restrooms, and the space is the right size where you can comfortably be seated. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Step aside Din Tai, you met your match.

Yelp
Literally drool worthy. First stop off the plane and absolutely delicious. The dumplings are full of flavor and super juicy, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated and we were seated very quickly. The soup broth was flavorful and I had to stop myself from overeating.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean, quick, friendly, filled with tourists since it's right in the shadow of the Empire State Building. If you don't want dumplings, there are still plenty of options. Stir-fry rice cakes with vegetables was so satisfying, albeit a little plain and the rice cakes have the potential to be gummy, but these were not too sticky. Reasonable prices for the neighborhood.

Yelp
Even though it's a chain, it doesn't change the quality of their food. When in Koreatown, this place is definitely a place to stop and eat. A little pricey compared to regular soup dumpling spots but the food is delicious. You can order individual plates or order a bunch of different things and share everything family style. We got seated right away and the staff were very nice and helpful. They gave us 2 pitchers of water which I appreciated since we're big water drinkers. You order on a paper and just mark and write the quantity of what you want. There is also a window where people from outside can view the workers making the dumplings. Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. It definitely started getting busy during dinner time.

Yelp
Such a great spot for quick and delicious eats! I'm a big fan of their soup dumplings so this time I opted for the signature pork dumplings and pork and crab buns. The dumplings are so filling and flavorful. Their broth is so great without being salty. The service is always so quick and they never let your water glass go empty. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the tables in the front being so close together. I've been to another location (can't remember which) and they had a bit more space to work with. I was able to hear every conversation going on next to me so maybe louder music would help drown that out. Probably not ideal for most though, so I'd likely ask to sit in a booth next time instead.

Yelp
I ordered delivery to my hotel and so happy I did. I got the Lucky Six soup dumplings and Signature soup dumplings and they were just amazing. The wrapping was perfectly thin enough that they held the soup well but didn't break open so easily. These are the BEST soup dumplings I've ever had. So delicious. I also got the beef with pan fried noodles and that was good as well. I wish I lived in manhattan just coz of this place. I'm definitely going there next time I'm in NYC.

Yelp
Everything taste amazing. Just like years ago when I visited China and tried the original restaurant in Shanghai. The portion is great for the price. One thing about Chinese restaurants is the portion size. Even at an upscale restaurant, They are not stingy by giving your party enough food for a reasonable price. I think this restaurant has done just that. I was very disappointed the other day I went to a dumpling house in San Francisco. The food was equally good as this one but the portion is like a tasting menu. I was very disappointed at the one in SF. I think if this restaurant at NYC can give you good portion at right price, it does not make any sense the restaurant I went to in SF cannot. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Next time I am in NYC I will for sure visit again.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night, about a half hour wait, despite the air conditioning being low, the food is good & the service even better! We appreciate them accommodating us & moving us from the table that was getting dripped on from the ceiling AC to another table. Also the attention to detail like giving us extra napkins & a little bowl of the white vinegar for dumplings. I would definitely go back but on a week night. If you're going on a Fri night I would advise going around midnight that's when it died down.

Talisha M.

Yelp
Excellent dumplings! Super clean friendly quick service restaurant. Had the bamboo shoots (cold), peanut spicy wontons, the variety soup dumplings and the truffle dumplings. Alllll sooo good. My favs were the truffle soup dumplings and the spicy shrimp pork wontons.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Food was good but definitely overpriced. I would come back but only on occasion. There are better soup dumpling spots that offer better prices (chinatown and flushing). The soup dumplings were good but not worth the price tag. I did find the truffle soup dumplings unique and surprisingly truffle-y. Service was quick and attentive. They always made sure our waters were filled and didn't come by the table too much. We were in and out on a weekday lunch - which was perfect. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday lunch, given they did not have any lunch specials on the menu. The ambiance was spacious and clean!
google avatar

Yelp
Shockingly cheap, particularly for NYC. $88 with tax and tip for more food than the 3 of us could eat. You can come in and get a massive bowl of seafood noodle soup for $12.50 and be full the rest of the day. We over ordered. Crab and Pork Soup dumplings (best thing we had), Veggie soup dumplings (meh), shrimp shumai (I didn't try), some kind of scallion empanada (good and fresh), and a beef empanada style dish (too oily), Seafood Noodle Soup. Every thing was massive in size. But some of it was overly oily or bland (like the seafood noodle soup). And the only thing they have for seasoning is vinegar, soy sauce and chili oil. So the food is good, but not mind blowing. What is mind blowing is the price and size of portions.
google avatar

Noren R.

Yelp
Best soup dumplings. Hands down. So close to the hotel I was staying at.. service was fast and friendly. Will come back for more dumplings next time I visit NYC. I love that you can see them hand making it through the window.
google avatar

Yelp
Stop by this place while on tour! Walking distance from Madison square garden! I had soup dumplings and one if their custom drinks! Everything was flavorful and delicious! Everything I'd expect from a soup dumpling restaurant in the city! It did not disappoint and I will be back!
google avatar

Alyssa P.

Yelp
Fantastic dumplings and quick too! I got these with my friend to go and they came out super fast. Absolutely get the soup dumplings here, and honestly you can't go wrong with any of the them. The black truffle dumplings are good but could be a bit too flavorful for some people. I thought it was a unique twist!

Yelp
This was such a nice find near Empire State Building. We came down from the observation deck hungry and decided to try their soup dumplings. We love Din Tai Fung back home so we were excited to compare. Everything was great from the service to the food quality to the size of the dumplings. Standout was the wontons in spicy peanut sauce. I'd say the original soup dumplings were better than Din Tai Fung. The dough is thinner and they have more soup in them! Definitely worth the stop. Service was very quick too ~8:30 PM
google avatar

Constance L.

Yelp
Fantastic lunch. All the dumplings we got had juicy, savory fillings and chewy, silky wrappers. Such comforting and beautifully prepared dishes! Would recommend everything we ordered: - Xiao long nap - shu mai - pan fried pork buns - scallion pancake Prices were also quite reasonable and I was thrilled to see nian gao (stir fried rice cakes with pork and mustard) on the menu. Remember to drizzle everything in their chili oil!

Yelp
If you're in the mood for soup dumplings, there is where to go. The place was packed but there was fast turnover so we waited approx. 10 mins for a table. The soup dumplings are the crown jewels and we stuck just to that; the broth was rich and savory, and the fillings were so tender that grandma without teeth would be able to enjoy them. This is a solid place to enjoy a variety of dumpling and dumpling-adjacent treats
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Fast service, had seating for four at 5pm, side dishes are large, fresh and come out fast. Dumplings take about 15-20 minutes, but worth the wait. Dumplings skin is a bit thick and doughy, but still delicious. Recommend trying the truffle dumplings, heavy on truffle flavor which is a great treat.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
My partner and I wanted something comforting on our final night in NYC. So we stopped in for some dumplings. We got a sampling of things since it was our first time at a Nan Xiang. Their spicy dumplings were delicate. The fried buns were homey and satisfying. I appreciated the variety of soup dumplings they offered. They were doing a brisk business, but we were seated right away. The space is large but not too loud even with the high ceilings.
google avatar

Rafael V.

Yelp
We visited Nan Xiang Soup Dumpling in Koreatown on a Sunday afternoon after a basketball game at MSG. Despite being a group of six, we only waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was reasonable. Since we already knew what we wanted, we ordered right away: crispy dough, scallion pancakes, pork buns, pork dumplings, siu mai, pork soup dumplings, chicken soup dumplings, and the Lucky Six soup dumplings. The service was quick and efficient, and while the restaurant was busy, it never felt overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious, as always, and we had an amazing time. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Connie S.

Yelp
We ordered the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings and the Sea Cucumber & Pork Soup Dumplings. Compared to the Flushing location, this spot delivered much better quality--none of the dumplings were cracked or broken, which is a big plus. The Lucky Six comes with six different flavors; aside from the chicken, which was just okay, the others (gourd, scallop, pork, crab, and truffle) were all really good. The Sea Cucumber & Pork dumpling was also delicious and worth trying.
google avatar

Ashby F.

Yelp
We came for the soup dumplings, and left completely satisfied. The pork/truffle were my favorites, but honestly everything was good. The service was fantastic as well. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
While walking around the Koreatown we saw the sign that says, best dumplings in town.. We normally don't eat dumplings but since we were hungry and thought they might have better dumplings in New York. We shared traditional pork soup dumplings, fried dumplings, cucumber salad and beef tendon and tripe in spicy sauce. The dumplings were good. I liked the soup dumplings better than the fried ones. My husband loved the spicy beef tendon and tripe. The cucumber salad was very good. We brought some leftovers to the hotel and ate for breakfast.

Yelp
This might have just become one of my new favorite pre-show dinner spots! After snagging last minute tickets, we were on the hunt for last minute dinner reservations. While Nan Xiang doesn't take reservations, reviews reassured me that the wait is never too long. They were spot on! We got here around 6:15 or so on a Saturday night and after a 5 or 10 minute wait we were seated. We put our order in a few minutes later and the food almost immediately began to come out. There were only the two of us, so I can say confidently we ordered WAY too much food. The soup dumplings were the star of the show of course. We got two orders, one of the Lucky Six which were the combo of all different ones, and one more order of the crab meat & pork. Both were so delicious and some of the best soup dumplings I've had. The broth was piping hot and flavorful and the skin wasn't too doughy. I also loved the actual meat of the dumpling. I might make a special trip soon just for soup dumplings. We also got an order of the black wood ear mushrooms, spicy bamboo shoots, sweet & sour spare ribs, Shanghai fried udon noodles, and stir-fried bok choy with garlic sauce. Like I said, wayyyyy too much food. But I loved being able to try so many dishes. Besides the soup dumplings, my favorites were the udon noodles (a little crispy and in a really great sauce), the bok choy (as someone who always wants a little green on the table. But I will say that a few of our other dishes had bok choy in them as well, so I wouldn't mind skipping this one in the future), and the wood ear mushrooms (almost tasted like chewy seaweed! A little funky but a really tasty app or side). Nothing but good to report. The space is massive and clean, the service was super quick, the food was delicious. I do wish they had smaller plates for half the price so you don't feel bad when you want to try a little bit of everything, but I think coming back with a big group would solve that issue.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite spot for soup dumplings in the city. I was initially trekking out to Queens for these delicious XLBs but so glad that they opened this easily accessible location in midtown. Not only is the signature pork delicious but they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from as well. It's always nice to get a mixed basket to share but my second favorite flavor would have to be the truffle. Service is very quick and efficient here. They also have a virtual queue system which is nice so you don't have to stand around waiting. The restaurant is large and spacious as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Truly fell in love with Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings in Manhattan-Koreatown! In a Saturday evening at 7pm we had about a 15 minute wait, which was amazing as they don't take reservations. The ambience was easy going and felt warm and welcoming. Me and my 8 year old daughter had the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings and the Handmade Steamed Pork, Shrimp & Cabbage Dumplings. The flavor was spectacular! Everything was fresh, made with care and the attention provided to all patrons was amazing. I highly recommend Nan Xiang!

Yelp
Very very very loud place! Soup dumplings were excellent. Soup with preserved veg most bland thing in the world Shanghai dumplings delicious! Shrimp dumplings completely overcooked and bland. Totally inconsistent!!! Service eternal... not sure if I'll ever return since there are so many other more consistent places in the area.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
I come here all the time!! The food is so good. It's always so busy so come early. I highly recommend the soup dumplings - remember to eat it with chili oil and vinegar. The truffle soup dumplings are also heavenly. The beef and tripe dish is so decadent and I get it every time. The soy milk is only okay though, but the interior ambiance is lively and makes it easy to host a birthday there!
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Came here quite a few times and I always order the pork soup dumplings and beef noodle dish today I got that and wood ear mushrooms (my new fave ) me and my boyfriend shared the soup dumplings so quick I didn't get a photo of them but they are so flavorful , the wood ear mushrooms tasted so fresh and flavorful . This place is always consistent with flavor and the servers are very prompt . My favorite thing about this place is they give hot Tea while dining in and they give refills!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Had to come back again! I found a new dish i love and highly recommend, the bok choy in garlic sauce..aaaaaahhhh manner that was good. Also loved the chicken and shrimp soup dumplings. Service is great. Manager came over and swapped out the spare rib tips with no question because my husband didn't know they were served cold. Looking forward to another visit when we are back in town for business. This place is a must!

Yelp
Loved it! Was nice to find a dumpling spot that wasn't in Chinatown. Was nice and clean inside. Tables are kinda close together, but nothing too crazy. Nice selection of foods - dumplings, noodles, soups. I liked our dishes and ate everything. I don't think they take reservations, so it's first come first served. It can get busy but they do a good job of getting people seated. They also don't try to shoo you out of there like a lot of places to, so its a nice place to go to catch up with friends.
google avatar

Sonal B.

Yelp
I finally found 'chicken soup dumplings' so good that I realized why people love soup dumplings so much. I was always restricted by how they are made with pork so often. The 'vegetable dumplings' were good too - full of greens and very light. But the 'crispy vegetable noodles' was not so great - noodles were a bit 'eggy' and vegetables were mostly canned (mushrooms, shoots took up most of them) w/ some bokchoy. The service is great though, place clean and we are glad we went early. It's popular :) Now if only they had more non-pork soup dumplings.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing. My son, his girlfriend and I wanted dim sum and went here based on other Yelp recommendations. We thought we might have to wait but were seated immediately. I told our waitress that we were under a bit of a time crunch and she made sure our food was rushed. Thank you, Boss, for your kindness. We ordered the pan fried pork dumplings, pork soup dumplings, and bok choy. All of our food was amazing. The soup noodles were incredible as was the dumplings. This was the kind of experience that makes me love to travel. I can't get soup noodles in my hometown so having such good ones was awesome. I'd love to try more items as the menu had a lot of different options.

Yelp
Decent and famous chain XLB spot! The line may look long, but grab a spot on the virtual queue using the QR code posted inside, and walk around k-town while you wait. Inside, the menu has a similar vibe to places like din tai fung. Several flavors of soup dumplings among with veggie, noodle, fried rice, and side dish options. Ambiance is busy and bustling. Recommend for smaller groups so you can get seated more quickly. Favorite item for a sweet treat is getting the you tiao and hot soybean milk. Would def visit again in the future.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 5 pm on a Thursday but we came around 20 mins early and they seated us early as it was pretty empty but filled up later. We ordered the nan xiang soup dumplings, Shanghai fried udon, pan fried crispy noodle with seafood, and nan xiang fried rice. The soup dumplings were delicious and my favorite as they were juicy, hot and pretty big! The fried udon was good, savory and chewy but a bit salty. The fried rice and crispy noodle were just decent as they were lacking in flavor. Service was quick and friendly and seating was comfy and plentiful.

Yelp
- Locale Destination - It's in 33rd st and between 5th and 6th ave in Midtown Manhattan. Ambiance: casual (nicer version than mom&pop) Menu: dim sum, appetizers, noodles, fried rice Service: fast. Make reservation or come after the opening. It gets packed! - Gluttony Expedition - Black wood ear mushroom: very light and tasty! I like it. Scallion pancakes: nicely crispy, but very little scallions and little flavor. Pass. Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings (6): lots of soup in it. Pork was a bit hard but decent flavor. The skin was a bit thicker than I prefer. Ok. Definitely better than crab ones. Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings (6): I really had a great one before, so this isn't good for me. The soup had tons of crab flavor, but the pork was not that great. I prefer the original soup dumplings. Meh. Pan fried potstickers: the cinnamon made it unique. The skin was thick. Ok. Nanxiang fried rice: less salty, so good to eat with other items. By itself, it's only ok. Braised beef noodle soup: good soup, a bit overcooked noodles. Not bad. - Conqueror's Deduction - I've had amazing soup dumplings in Shanghai, so this is only ok for me. Good, but nothing wow.

Yelp
Other reviews have covered the dumplings well, but the Four Happiness Sponge Tofu is a hidden star of flavor on their cold items menu. This dish's flavor made me think about it throughout my five-day trip to NYC, even after eating at plenty of other places. The tofu has a unique, shredded texture that more closely resembles meat than other meatless proteins I've tried. It's full of a delicious sauce that hits so many sweet and tangy notes. Plus, mushrooms and bamboo shoots are mixed in. Don't let the cold temperature throw you off; this dish really works and is addictive to eat. The service at Nan Xiang can be a bit clunky and slow to process your order. However, the dishes, including the dumplings, are always solid.

Yelp
Yummy soup dumplings and Dim Sum located in Koreatown just 1 block from the Macy's hustle and bustle. Large soup dumplings, yummy flavors such as abalone, squash, crab and mixed options. Went on the earlier side 6:30pm Sunday after Thanksgiving and didn't have to wait to be seated but shortly thereafter a line started. Only 3 beer options, no liquor. We had a lychee martini across the street beforehand at Dim Sum Palace.

Yelp
Was recommended by a friend to try this place when I came to NY so I made a reservation for a weekday dinner; we came about 20 mins early and they nicely sat us inside as it was quite empty at the time, but it quickly filled up closer to 6PM. We got the soup dumplings, stir-fried udon noodles, signature fried rice and crispy noodles. The soup dumplings were the highlight of the dinner; very juicy and plump. The stir-fried noodles were my next favorite but they were a little salty. The fried rice and crispy noodles were more bland to me and fell short of my expectations

Yelp
We went here with a large party, and split a ton of items on the menu. None of them were anything under than bangers all around. As expected, the variety of soup dumplings were the highlights, but so were the scallion pancakes, the noodles, and the sweet sticky rice. The wait was definitely on the longer side (about a half hour before we were able to sit down), but it's absolutely worth it!

Yelp
Yummy !! Delicious braised beef noodle soup with tender beef, hearty soup, and perfectly chewy noodles. The signature Xiao long baos were big and juicy! Inside was clean, service was excellent and there's a 5% cash discount I believe! No wait and perfect for lunch and dinner :)

Yelp
This business was the hallmark of the first soup dumpling festival in NYC this past weekend so I definitely had to try it despite getting there early there was quite the line. I was there over an hour and still had an ordered but it was too late to get off the line so I waited another 47 minutes Before ordering and getting my dumplings. Having never tried this place, I decided to go for the lucky six soup dumpling combo which included a signature, black truffle, scallop, black truffle vegetable and shrimp. OMG! One of the best orders I have had anywhere which is quite the statement as I have eaten a lot of soup dumplings. Usually at festivals you don't get the best quality however if it's any better than what I had, my head may explode. They were being made fresh on site, steamed and presented steaming hot. I can't wait to go to the establishment and bring others.

Yelp
Overall the food and service was good. This spot really knows how to make delicious, tender dumplings that don't break apart as you bite into them. I really enjoyed the soft chewiness of the vegetarian dumplings, would definitely order those again. I felt the serving size of the steamed pork dumplings were generous as well. Another plus is is that they're open quite late. Knocking a star for a couple reasons. The broth for the soup definitely could have came out warmer, which is what we were craving on a cold rainy night. Additionally, they didn't have any pescatarian friendly dumplings. While they had seafood in some dumplings, each one was mixed with pork.

Yelp
06/07/24: Decided to check them out. Not bad, not sure they are the best. But as I had them reheated I will try again.
