"Little Neon Taco is the new fast-casual offshoot of Neon Taco, a dark dive bar on Broadway in Capitol Hill. This spot couldn’t be more different from the original Neon Taco. It’s in the hospital-heavy area of First Hill, it looks like a Los Angeles beachside Airbnb, and they serve agua frescas (which are quite good) and horchata in place of alcohol. The menu’s made up of appetizers like a great guacamole and a not-so-great grainy queso, and then tiny a la carte street tacos on homemade tortillas (which are pretty pricey at $4 each). We like the chicken mole ones in particular, but some tacos here don’t work at all, like the too-salty beef picadillo, and one with soft pork rinds that taste like gelatinous air. We could see Little Neon Taco being a huge hit with people who work nearby at lunchtime, but there are some kinks to work out first." - Aimee Rizzo

Google
Best lengua (2 on right, diced large, but super melty tender) and pork belly (not pictured, but had many times) tacos I've been able to find in Seattle. Carnitas (2 on left) are pretty good too, but I like it better on their massive nachos!

alexander forte

Google
The tacos were all delicious. Pork belly was crispy and fatty, pork carnitas had great flavor, and the chorizo tacos were just spicy enough. The tortillas were great on every taco, cannot wait to go back.

Google
A must experience again and again! The Totchos were piled high and the Flautas were super creamy while packed with flavor. The pork belly tacos did not dissapoint, they were the perfect mixture of crunch and melt in your mouth. Their frozen drinks were very unique and my avacado margarita was refreshingly tart.

Google
It was not busy and I still waited about 45 mins to get 4 tacos that was not worth the wait. The meat was good but the tortilla was horrible. Also they didn’t apologize for the long wait when I got the food. I do not recommend this place.

Best Tacos in town...Pork belly ones are the best but limited in quantity!

Google
Best tacos in Seattle, probably the entire West Coast. They are really that good. Also a nice selection of drinks and other great menu items that are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Definitely try the pork belly or carnitas tacos and the nachos. Friendly service and very affordable. Highly recommended!

Google
Neon Taco is a lovely place to go for happy hour with friends! Awesome food, reasonably priced for its quality. Good selection of hot sauces too. It's got a great vibe and sets itself apart from more uptight businesses in the neighborhood. It's on my go-to list and I look forward to returning.

Google
Sooo good, tried it for a couple more tacos after a “taco place” literally almost next door and upstairs and this place was 10 times better for just 50 cents to a dollar more per taco. Double the fillings, tortillas were totally fresh and unique! Will absolutely be back! Out of the 4 “street style taco places in Cap Hill/First Hill/Central District we have tried this was By far the best, not only the tacos but the service and friendliness at the “taco bar” the taco bar is in the back of a drinking bar and the service there was just meah... odd to be carded when your coming in for tacos and not drinking... so not sure how it would work if you weren’t 21+... But if your coming for the food and not the drinks it’s excellent “street style tacos”.

Yelp
Sometimes a girl does need a savior on NYE. We were hangry, frustrated at crowded bars with waitlists, and had walked around only to be met with locked doors and dead pubs with no food. How many times does a girl have to prove she is 21?! Finally, we walked in Nacho Borracho- we sat at the bar, ordered a nice seasonal mezcal, and some molotes and fries from a kind young man. The basket of fries was huge, the music RNB, and the molotes a new discovery. When I asked for the tv to be changed to a NYE program, my request was granted but there was no countdown. We walked out the bar to be greeted by a young man from a window above, "HAPPY NEW YEARS TO THE 2 LADIES WALKING ACROSS THE STREET!"

Kaythlin Y.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink round before heading to a comedy show in the Cap Hill area. My group was greeted by someone checking our IDs at the door, and invited us to order at the bar. We ordered their blended raspberry hibiscus Moscow mule, rgb Moscow mule, and el Diablo. Highlighting their blended drinks because they were surprisingly strong, and delicious! Worth the $12 price point. The booths were perfect for groups, they were tall enough that it seemed like we were in our own area tucked away from other groups, and the stickers on the wall were fun to point out together!

Mayré R.

Yelp
The tacos are really yummy! I recommend the Al pastor tacos and the drinks are great.

Othon H.

Yelp
5 stars for pretty much anything besides the nachos. Funny I know, but the nachos were meh, but the taquitos, Mexican sliders, and lemon custard was excellent! Servers were great! As a side note: I'm really surprised to be typing this, but this nacho place has more seductive vibes than you'd expect... so be prepared. Smooth songs and the red mood lighting was... very unexpected. Peep the pics for proof.

John C.

Yelp
The ambiance was great. The bar staff was great. The happy hour margarita was far too sweet for someone trying to keep blood sugars in check. I won't return unless it's for something other than their margaritas. A pity. But ugh.

Jon C.

Yelp
I got the Pink Guava Moscow Mule and 3 Carnitas tacos. Everything was SO good. Pricey for Tacos, but that's just the way it is these days if you're not going to your local taqueria or vendor on the corner. Place was a little empty during my visit, but the place has good vibes and the playlist was REALLY good. I guess you could come here for music discovery too.

Brianna F.

Yelp
If you're into strong (and I mean STRONG) frozen drinks and fun decor, you'll love Nacho Borracho! It's one of my favorite places to randomly pop into. The staff is exceptionally nice and the always greets you upon entering. I always end up grabbing a mango marg, but I love their seasonal/rotating drink menu too. You can also order non-frozen drinks (but that's no fun!) I love looking at the random stickers in the booths. Seems like there's something new every time. They also recently got a new food menu - I have yet to try but I saw an order of nachos come out and yummmmmm. Next time for sure. FYI - Currently requiring proof of vaccination

Alex N.

Yelp
I was impressed with the tacos! My favorite was the pork belly although it was quite spicy. The birrira was also very good. I got the mango lassi drink too which was strong yet good. id come back, the music was good too.

Diana V.

Yelp
We arrived at this restaurant at 4:30 to find it fully closed. Google said they were open, maps said they're open, but they weren't. Annoying but whatever things happen, we made our way back the same week, and sat ourselves. It's two restaurants in one I guess? Nacho borracho is just housed in a bar. We ordered the birria tacos and a burrito. I took a couple bites of the birria and was not impressed. Not the best I'd ever had but not the worst. I get to the center, take a bite and it's the most awful, disgusting piece of meat I've ever had. It smelled and tasted like a dirty sock. We left immediately and were so turned off. I don't think I'll ever have birria from any spot other than my favorite ever again. Avoid this place like the plague.

Leslie W.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place isn't more popular but I am glad for selfish reasons. I come here all the time for drinks and tacos. It's a good place to chill, and everything I've ever ordered has been excellent. Their blended drinks hit the spot during the summer (my favorite is the mango lassi) and the queso birria tacos have literally ruined my life (they're so good we get them several times a month).

timothy h.

Yelp
Date night My Buddy Ryan's place, best Mexican food I've had here in Seattle, T'juana Tacos try it you'll not be disappointed

Ellen H.

Yelp
Yummy drinks and BOMBBBBB food omg. Get a good mezcal and order some tacos and your life will be sweet

Larry B.

Yelp
The ambiance was good. It's definitely a place to go just for drinks. The nachos... next! The chicken taco was decent a little dry, and the fries was the best thing on the menu but McDonalds were better. The drinks were the best.

Michael N.

Yelp
Great vibes, cheap drinks, and nice staff. That's about the perfect blend for a Capitol Hill bar. The lights and music are festive and welcoming on the inside.

Trisha F.

Yelp
Nacho is a solid spot in a world of rotating bars and taco joints. I think it's pretty cool that a minority and women owned business is so successful in this city. I also love that Neon Taco is one of the first window/pop up restaurants operating independently inside a bar and now a lot of places do it that way. It makes me happy to see business owners being able to open their own places and help each other out like that. The food is great, the drinks are strong and delicious, and the employees are friendly and professional. Photobooth, party room in the back, a few arcade games, DJ nights...it's a good spot any night of the week. Oh, and they refuse service to Nazis! Yet another plus in my book.

Zulema T.

Yelp
The food is 10/10 and the service is 10/10!! Completely fell in love with this place! Simply because it's a late night spot with amazing food. Last call for food is 12:30. Birria tacos with cheese are so good and also the fish tacos and nachos are to die for. Must try! And if you like pickles try they pickle backs with tequila shot

Betsy T.

Yelp
I met my boyfriend here and have positive feelings toward this place until now. This is my first review on yelp ever but everyone at this bar treated me and my girlfriends like we were scum of the earth for no reason. I tipped 50% which was too much given the service. But they then had every employee calling us a c*** when we actually did nothing wrong. Don't work at a bar please if you can't treat people with basic respect. I'm disgusted. I wish I could make this 0 stars for how badly I was degraded. Other patrons at the bar came over and apologized for them treating us so poorly.

Sean M.

Yelp
So stupid to not help a potential future guest who is trying to find his tacos. Think about...being helpful is kind and makes people want to come back....so being unhelpful, rude, selfish and making me leave in worst shape guarantees ill never walk into your business again. So simple yet so far from your business practices!

Sabrina C.

Yelp
This is a fun, casual spot for drinks and food. You can order drinks at the bar and your food through a QR code at your table. I ordered the RGB Moscow Mule and the Paloma which were each $11. They were both pretty good, decently strong without tasting super potent. I also ordered the quesabirria tacos ($5.25 each). They actually had a ton of meat and flavor so I enjoyed them quite a bit. Coming from California, they did feel a bit overpriced but the size and flavor made me feel a bit better about it.

Two close friends of mine (who are both POC and queer by the way) have had horrible experiences here. Most recently, one of my friends was given SOMEONE ELSES credit card back when he asked to close out. When he questioned the bartender, who I believe was named Ian, he was told "Are you sure your last name isn't Garcia?". My friend obviously was very taken aback by that because it was an extremely rude comment, regardless of the fact SOMEONE ELSE was given HIS card and they refused to own up to their mistake and told my friend "your drinks are paid for either way so you need to leave." No accountability whatsoever. What kind of place does that? I would think twice if you're considering stopping into this establishment. They could not care less about your well-being as long as they're making money.

Justin B.

Yelp
Payed 20 dollars for a plate of nachos and was given a small/kid sized plate of nachos. They were good nachos but come on. Paying full price for food I'm expecting entree sized food not appetizer sized food at full price.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Hooray for Nacho Borracho! I love going here when I can - meaning when I can drag my friends to go with me. The inside is spacious and kept clean - theres ample seating at the bar, tables and booths (booths are my favorite). I really enjoy the vibe here - a little grungy and punk. The staff is always so helpful and nice and one big plus is that the music isn't obnoxiously loud to the point you can't hear yourself think or your friends talking. I pretty much only order the Pink Guava Moscow Mule (BEST DRINK EVER) and the veggie tacos. The Pink Guava Moscow Mule is a powerful and delicious drink that will have you on your but after a few - haha! There aren't many vegetarian options but you will fall in love with the tacos. It's overstuffed and packed with flavor.

Cynthia Erika S.

Yelp
Dear world, This review is for the bar. I've been here twice and I tend to see a pattern of sass with the bartenders. Not regular bartender sass (I used to bartender as well), but a bitter I-hate-my-job-so-I'll-retort-like-an-uncalled-asshole sass. But it's fine, I got my drinks and sat to wait for the delicious Neon Taco food to arrive. Love, Erika. P.S.: The Avocado Margarita sounds good. Don't get it. It doesn't taste like Avocado at all, but does have that tangy, shitty mix taste that is reminiscent of a bad college weekend in Tijuana.

Mani M.

Yelp
I was craving for neon tacos, but to get to neon tacos you, must go inside of nacho borracho. We made a stop at the bar for a few drinks. The service was nice, interior is absolutely alive with lightings hanging from the ceiling it made me felt like, I was on vacation in mexico sipping on their tequila slush on a summer night..... They have tequila slushy machine!!!! I never made it to neon tacos haha it just means it'll give me another reason to come back!!!!

Jessica S.

Yelp
The vibe here is really fun. There's lots of decor on the walls and ceiling giving this a fun atmosphere. The drinks are delicious, they have a tequila shot with a pickle juice chaser that's my favorite. I also had the mango iced drink and it was so good. To eat, I had the fried chicken and carne tacos. They were the perfect size for two and only $3 each. It was a killer deal and I'm sure I'll be back again for cheap food and delicious drinks.

Ann S.

Yelp
Located in the back of a bar they are a stand alone business. The bar is their own company for drinks and you can order food by using a QR code. State your table number and make your order and they deliver it to you. The atmosphere is typical dive bar. The floors are sticky and the venue is small. We got there early as a group and the place was almost empty but filled an hour later. The food was delicious especially the nachos... there were layers! Even though there were layers the nachos stayed pretty darn crispy throughout the whole meal. The drinks are heavy on the booze and there are a lot of frozen options. I'd probably just go back for nachos ;)

Alise M.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful! The tacos were amazing and so filling! The menu for cocktails is large but they also have non alcoholic drinks which is perfect for sober people like me (I recommend the ginger beer they have on tap!) The service was amazing, and the owners are so sweet and the restaurant is so homey and cool, would definitely recommend coming here just by yourself or with friends!!

Edward S.

Yelp
I was out looking for Pokemon and decided to drop in for a drink (yes, I am one of those grown men playing kid's games). The bar was inviting for a hot day, with many slurpy- like machines behind the bar. I had this Mango drink that I think had rum in it. It was very tasty. The person next to me had the strawberry margarita and also enjoyed. The food situation was odd, there is a food truck in back. The tacos and nachos with guacamole looked really good for the next trip.

Alden C.

Yelp
The atmosphere at Nacho Borracho is fun but I wasn't too impressed with the food or how the place was set up to order. Truthfully I think the place's true calling is for the blended margaritas but I'm not too sure. They didn't appear to be all that enticing to me. So to order drinks I believe you go up to the bar but if you want food you have to go past the bar to the back and order it there. The menu comes across as confusing. I was under the impression that they sold more than tacos here but the guy that took my order said that was all that they had. Maybe the menu rotates and maybe it's what they have on hand at the time. I'm not too sure. I ordered three pork tacos and they were just fair. I also ordered some chips and salsa. That was decent but still... nothing to make me start raving about anything. Just an "A-OK" experience indeed.

Carina W.

Yelp
So, I will say, that at points there have been imperfections about this bar-- us locals call them growing pains. Unfortunately, there are some people that go to a 'dive bar' and then scold it for its 'divey' interior. Then why would you come here? Don't come here. The bartenders will always welcome you, but why should you if you talk shit like this? Are you an interior designer? Please stay out of my "dive bars". You should feel ashamed. (See photo below.)

Jordana M.

Yelp
This place has nothing latino or Mexican about it. This is just a bar that used cultural exploitation. None once did they play a Spanish song, all night some employee there played their own horrible playlist. The food is trash, would not visit again.

Ani R.

Yelp
The place is great but the kitchen supposedly open at 4:00 and we waited till 5:30 and they never open the kitchen that's was our first time and I think it's going to be last time. Never again.

Angela H.

Yelp
Take forty bucks and spend it here (two people). Sit in a colorfully decorated bar room filled with tall booth seating. Get happy while you drink margaritas at around 8 dollars each. Don't fall short from ordering the food, it's some of the best guacamole, tacos and quesadilas. At least that's the way my trip here ran. Thumbs up on the beef brisket tacos and the pink guava Moscow mule to drink.

Lucianna W.

Yelp
We give 5 stars. Although we recently learned they are anti birthday. Don't except an hbd song

Michelangelo S.

Yelp
Every Day Feels Like Cinco De Mayo! SITREP Oh my god. Props to my sweet friends Kate & Kimber for turning me on to this spot with my recent trip back to Seattle. If you have got the "munchies" then your cabana ship has sailed in. THE SETUP There was so much to enjoy at this yummy stop. * First off, they use great traditional Mexican cheese for their nacho cheese sauce, and it's to die for. * The chips are made fresh and always hot - any combo of toppings you want, from beans, to beef, to peppers, make it how you want, though there combo deals dial in the best prices from $9-$12. * The salsa is always fresh and has the tongue (and the rest of body) sweating from the spiciness * And, again, the drinks - the margaritas - are top notch with the best tequila and make you feel like you've been at a fiesta all day. * Avocado Margaritas, where you been all my life? This place knocked my socks off. THE LOWDOWN If you have a hankering & craving for nachos, then this is your mecca!

Meg C.

Yelp
Fun spot for some late night tacos and drinks. Chill vibe, friendly patrons, nice bartenders, but a bit pricey for what it is

Raquel D.

Yelp
I love the totchos and the wide variety of slushie mixed drinks! The elote is to die for! But I'm not coming back anytime soon because the music is just too loud, to the point that I'm concerned for the safety of the people who work here. After getting food and a drink, I realized that it was so loud that I was shouting at my partner and he still couldn't hear me. I have a decibel reader app on my phone that is extremely accurate. I opened it to measure the sound. 130 decibels!!!!!! That's between a chainsaw and a jet plane in terms of loudness. Permanent hearing loss begins at 85 decibels. I asked the DJ and the bartender if the music could be turned down just a touch. They refused. Music enhances the vibe of a bar. Nobody wants to hang out in a mausoleum. But at some point, we have to admit that music that is too loud is 1) dangerous for employees who will get hearing loss 2) unsafe and unwelcoming for customers. I left my drink and carried my food out because it was simply too loud. My ears were ringing for hours after leaving. Exposing employees to this level of noise is a violation of state and federal law!

Virsavia R.

Yelp
Love this place! Frozen slushees 10/10, tacos 10/10, and music/general atmosphere is 10/10! Definitely a must see in regards to seattle gems :)

Daniel Z.

Yelp
This is a great spot to hang out with a friend. The vibe is welcoming and dark, but just lit enough. I like getting the caliburrito and one of the slushy drink options.

Katherine D.

Yelp
I love this bar. They play great music. Normally have something fun and not sports on the TVs but will have big deal sports things on. The drinks are great across the board from a local beer to a basic cocktail to one of their fun slushee specials. Ambience is killer, and I especially like stopping in early for happy hour on a rainy afternoon, or as the last stop of my evening under the fun red/pink lighting. The bartenders are friendly and attentive and care about their clientele. Please be wary of 1 star reviews from out of towners! This place is the real deal.

Adam B.

Yelp
Nasty. Blue water taco grill is the best! Heck even taco bell is superior to this low quality burrito. Blah is all I can say. Too watery and too much bean paste. I know small business needs to save money but this is ridiculous! Entire Can of rosarita refried stuffed into every burrito! Can I get some steak pretty please? Staff was too busy checking smart phones to clean tables. No problem I'll wipe it down myself, wait no napkins! Back in line to compete with an iPhone for attention

Janine G.

Yelp
They need to add alcohol to their premixed cocktails. At $11 a pop I expect more. Kitchen was closed.

Bria K.

Yelp
My husband and I tried this place for lunch on Saturday before a show downtown. We shared the homemade queso with poblano (yum - though - could use a tad more salt). I had the molasses chicken wings which were excellent and came with celery and blue cheese dressing. He had the bacon wrapped hot dog (pictured) and it was insane. He had a beer and I had what was a very strong and good house margarita. Overall, more of a bar than a restaurant we felt, but, a good addition to Broadway for sure.

rick d.

Yelp
The best food, love the hospitality and they are very welcoming. Love the decor and the staff. True heroes.

Virginia C.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS SO DELICIOUS, I went twice with my boyfriend & ordered the same thing. The cook was so nice and funny! Cool vibes & wall art.

Annette W.

Yelp
OK so a girl walks into the neon taco on Saturday night at like 11 it was not easy to find a seat guy checked my Id I sat down to try and figure out if I was waiting for a waitress but no you go to the back get a number and chill.I met awesome people prices fair the staff kicked booty the music was cool so I stayed and made a bunch of new friends I suggest checking it out.. good 1st or last date bar ladies " wink So yeah go here it's fun and kind The tacos are missing a tortilla but still good This place has a drink theme like wet willies. In Florida but that's a sugary mess and one hell of a hangover

RaeAnn M.

Yelp
Come to this place for happy hour...... It will surely be one happy hora! Such a nice ambience to this place, nicely decorated with lights everywhere and piñatas. There's also a butt, a literal butt in one of the booths! Let's see if you can spot it ;). Also The little taco spot in the back of the bar!!! YUM! Pork belly tacossss. Who doesn't love pork belly? Knocked off a star, because this place is basically self service for everything and if you aren't here at happy hour the prices are pretty steep. Those tacos though !!

Eyeshuh B.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant/bar in Cap Hill and one of my favorite places in Seattle. The drinks are amazing and the food at Neon Taco (food counter in the back) is delicious. Drinks: I wish they kept the "El Diablo" frozen, but it's now only available on the rocks. It's still delicious, but no longer my go-to frozen drink. If you're looking for a tasty "on the rocks" drink, get the El Diablo. For frozen drinks, my favorite is the Pink Guava Moscow Mule! I can drink endless amounts of these. They're tasty on a hot day... a rainy day... any day, actually. Food: My favorite taco hands down is the "pork belly" taco. It's amazing. 5 out of 5 stars. You MUST order at least one of these. I also am a fan of their guac and queso, along with the fresh fried pork rinds. They're a treat I never had fresh before here, so I always tell people to give them a try. The rest of the food is pretty great, so you can't go wrong... but if you're looking for a go-to, the pork belly will never steer you wrong. Music: Different nights of the week they have rotating DJs and it's one of my favorite bonuses they offer. My favorite is DJ Scratch Master Joe (@1800HotBoyz on IG) and he's a beast. This place would only be better if they have outdoor seating or cleaner bathrooms, but even without those I am a huge fan and regularly visit. If you have friends in town or are simply looking for a new spot to try out, Nacho Borracho is a clear winner.

Susan A.

Yelp
This place is super cute, l love the Mexican decorations especially the loteria wall paper and the music was bumpin. You order your drinks at the bar and there's a hole in the wall in the back (neon taco)where you can order your tacos, they are a little spendy but they were very good as well. I got the Cueritos tacos made with fresh tortillas and and little chunks of Cueritos (pork rinds). Overall this place was fun if you don't mind loud music awesome decorations, don't forget to take you picture in the photo booth that they have in the back. Oh, and the habanero sauce is no fucking joke my mouth and lips were on fire!
