Neon Taco

"Little Neon Taco is the new fast-casual offshoot of Neon Taco, a dark dive bar on Broadway in Capitol Hill. This spot couldn’t be more different from the original Neon Taco. It’s in the hospital-heavy area of First Hill, it looks like a Los Angeles beachside Airbnb, and they serve agua frescas (which are quite good) and horchata in place of alcohol. The menu’s made up of appetizers like a great guacamole and a not-so-great grainy queso, and then tiny a la carte street tacos on homemade tortillas (which are pretty pricey at $4 each). We like the chicken mole ones in particular, but some tacos here don’t work at all, like the too-salty beef picadillo, and one with soft pork rinds that taste like gelatinous air. We could see Little Neon Taco being a huge hit with people who work nearby at lunchtime, but there are some kinks to work out first." - Aimee Rizzo
