Wagyu Mafia Took Over London Restaurant Instagram This Week | Eater London

"A dining spot that leans into maritime-inspired design accents and tableware, using sea-themed visual details to create striking, photographable presentations that complement the food." - George Reynolds

What the Critics Said About London Restaurants Last Week | Eater London

"A high-ambition seafood restaurant that divides opinion: some critics rave about dishes like a perfect stracciatella with melon, tomato and mint, Spanish red prawns grilled to crispy, salty, smoky perfection, and a melon-and-crab gazpacho, even singling out a signature baked cheesecake. Others find the place all style and not always substance—its beautiful aesthetic doesn’t always translate to consistently excellent cooking. Specific missteps cited include a synthetic-tasting sauce with sardine boquerones, cold and stodgy salt-cod takoyaki, and hash browns that fail as a vehicle for caviar. Attractive and top‑notch at times, but uneven overall." - George Reynolds

What the Critics Said About London Restaurants This Week | Eater London

"Set squarely as a seafood-focused restaurant, the room feels unmistakably like a hotel dining space — large, ornate and attempting a casual, millennial-tinged plushness that critics found tired and even depressing. On the plate the cooking often underwhelms: seabass crudo is described as bland rather than ceviche or sashimi, a piattoni-bean side salad arrives with odd garnishes, and hake is let down by a watery sauce and random halved plum tomatoes. Even well-cooked dishes such as monkfish wrapped in ham lack punch, leaving the overall impression closer to decent hotel catering than a lively neighbourhood kitchen, and casting doubt on the owners’ hope that the place will transcend its setting." - George Reynolds

Last Week’s Biggest London Restaurant News, According to Instagram | Eater London

"A seafood-heavy venue housed in The Principal that’s being tipped as the next place for major influencers to converge; early interest from big names suggests a sustained and possibly exhausting PR push as it becomes a social-media focal point (so much so that the columnist even jokes about a cheeky rebrand to ‘Clerkenwell Buoy’)." - George Reynolds

Great outdoor patio area right on Main Street. Order beer and apps on your phone right from your table and it all magically appears! Dogs welcome outside. Inside there was a band playing and a busy bar scene. Pool tables, darts, corn hole. Great place for a group to meet and hangout for the night.

Smith Family Beer Garden is a great spot to chill for a beverage, get a quick bite, see live music or meet up with friends to play some games. Carly and her brothers have a great thing going. Apparently they started as a popcorn shack in Hyannis, and a few years ago started the beer garden. I believe they still own and operate the popcorn stand that's right out front! They have live outdoor music very often during the summer, but will soon be able to host music inside as well. There's lots of cool artwork inside and a few pool tables and electronic dart boards. There is great beer on tap and a short menu of bar style apps and stuff. The 'bangin tendies' were really good. Stop by and check it out, it's definitely worth a visit!

Neptune's is a great place to relax with family and friends. Inside you will find pool tables, a bar with a very friendly bartender and a beautiful outside statue with some tables. We did wait about an hour and a half for our food, however it was only because the order had been lost. They were very apologetic and took 2 meals off the price. Our food arrived very shortly after, and was very filling and left us wanting more. The chicken wasn't the BEST, but it was still amazing. The pizzas we ordered were super cheesy but had thin crust, basically New York style, which isn't a bad thing, just not for everyone. I sure loved it though! The pretzels were the best ever. They had the perfect balance of salt and butter, and were huge! I am not old enough to drink beer, but my dad said it was very tasty and relaxing, at an affordable price. They even had a DJ come and play music and host trivia! This has got to be the best restaurant on the Cape! Only thing preventing my from giving five stars is the wait time, but overall is a great place to visit during your vacation!

Love this place! Everyone who works there goes above and beyond. This is such a great addition to downtown Hyannis. Family friendly, indoor and outdoor games, a great selection of drinks, and the food is amazing! My favorite has to be the mac and cheese stuffed pretzel, but the lobster rolls and apple pie stuffed pretzel are both delicious as well! Can’t wait to go back - I highly recommend stopping by!

Your official summer or year round hangout is none other than Smith Family Beer Garden! Food truck Knead and Knot Pretzel Co is crazy good (buffalo chicken stuffed pretzel is insane!) along with Junior Betts BBQ, live music, great drinks, great people. An overall fun time! You’ll never want to leave! You can spend the day and night hanging on Hyannis Main St. Dan and his crew are the nicest! Go spend your weekends, days and nights at the coolest spot! Great work by the Smith Family!

After a lovely chat at the Smith Family Popcorn store the previous day, we came to the beer garden for dinner the following night - not realizing at all that it was their soft opening of the indoor space! Our main takeaway was "why do we have to live so far away?! We would hang out here ALL THE TIME!" Truly, a wonderful indoor space; it will be the site of many a party, reunion, shower, and other celebrations in the years to come, I'm sure. Whether you're looking for cozy seating or an open area for a big gathering, there's a spot for you here. (It's November so we didn't exactly get to take advantage of the outdoor spaces, but I know it'll be hoppin'!) I especially was taken with how they managed to incorporate so much of the history of the locations' previous incarnations into the interior decor. They've truly blended the old and the new - and I can't wait to come back and see how it evolves from there! Also the beer and BBQ were great lol. I can recommend the brisket mac 'n' cheese bowl!

I recently had the pleasure of finally experiencing Smith's Family Beer Garden and I must say, it was an absolutely great experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience was inviting and relaxing, setting the perfect tone for a memorable evening with friends. The highlight was undoubtedly the food. We decided to try their smash burger and boy, were we blown away! The Cook proudly informed us that they handcraft their hamburgers with a special blend of seasoning. The homemade sauce and the pretzel bun made in-house added an extra layer of deliciousness. And let's not forget, it was a double burger topped with fresh tomatoes, onion, lettuce, and a generous amount of crispy bacon. At $19.10 (included tax) i had no problem paying that … especially since it included a generous portion of thick-cut fries. Aside from the fantastic food, the overall atmosphere of Smith's Family Beer Garden was simply fantastic. The great weather only added to the charm, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors while savoring our drinks and engaging in great conversations and listen to the live music. The perfect spot to unwind and relax. I also want to give a special mention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It's always a pleasant surprise to find spotless facilities in a busy establishment, and Smith's Family Beer Garden certainly didn't disappoint in this aspect. In conclusion, I highly recommend Smith's Family Beer Garden to anyone looking for a place to unwind on Main Street in Hyannis. If you’re into corn hole, they had that too. The combination of great food, welcoming ambience, and friendly staff make it a top-notch destination. Whether you're looking for a casual hangout with friends or a place to enjoy some quality time with loved ones, this place has it all. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in their mouthwatering smash burger and soak in the wonderful atmosphere.
