My husband and I visited Nest Restaurant Old Street for a date night ❤️. We were excited to try the seasonal set menu, which this time was themed around the sea and coastline 🌊. It was also intriguing to experience a restaurant that focuses on one type of meat per season - this time, fish 🐟.
Each dish was beautifully presented, and the flavours were top-tier 👌. My personal favourite was the Oysters with Rhubarb Mignonette, as the flavours complemented each other perfectly, creating a truly unique taste 🦪✨.
A lovely surprise was receiving an extra course, free of charge 🎁 the cuttlefish risotto with endive was absolutely delicious and something I would gladly pay for on its own 🤩.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues. We found plastic in one of our dishes, though the waitress quickly sent it back. Additionally, we had to ask for our final dish, as the waitress had mistakenly brought us the bill before we had finished the set menu. While all the staff were friendly and helpful, these are serious mistakes that I wouldn’t expect at a restaurant charging these prices 🤷♀️.
That said, the food itself was outstanding, and I truly commend the chefs for their creativity and technical skill 👨🍳🔥. I’d happily return next season to experience the new tasting menu - hopefully with a little less plastic this time 😉.
