31 Glorious Chinese Restaurants to Try

"We thought we’d lost this Flushing mainstay when it closed a few years ago, but then discovered there was another branch across the Queens border in Great Neck. It also features the food of Dongbei — the three provinces in northernmost China once known as Manchuria. Try the pork with sour cabbage, sweet and sour fish, and green-bean sheet jelly (mung bean noodles, pressed tofu, and cloud ear fungus with tahini in a sort of toss-it-yourself salad)." - Robert Sietsema

New Fu Run Is a Flushing Classic — Reborn in Great Neck - Eater NY

"New Fu Run, located at 50 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck, serves Dongbei cuisine in a setting with elaborate chandeliers, mahogany trim, and Chinese ink drawings. Signature dishes include large, fluffy scallion pancakes, tiger salad with fresh herbs and green chiles, and country style green bean sheet jelly. Other highlights are buttery corn with pine nuts, snow peas with garlicky sausage, pork and cabbage dumplings, and sweet-and-sour flounder. The famous lamb ribs, now called lamb chops with cumin, are still offered but at a higher price." - Robert Sietsema

19 Top Lamb Dishes to Try in NYC | Eater NY

"This brightly lit box of a space in Flushing serves dishes nodding to the Dongbei area of northeastern China. Middle Eastern influences abound, particularly in “Muslim lamb chops,” which arrive perfectly cooked under a covering of cumin seeds." - Paul Schrodt

This is my go to Chinese in town. Always the same table -:) I like what they wrote in Chinese in the bathroom that please only take (the paper) what you need. Service is good. Although the food is on the sweet side but they’re generally very good. We’ve Eggplant 🍆 with basil 🌿 Shredded pork Pork joint in garlic sauce Shiraz house red Street parking and a parking lot in the back. Edit: we went there for their Peking Duck - pretty good.

**Unforgettable Lunar New Year Celebration at New Fun Run Chinese Restaurant** Our Lunar New Year dinner at New Fun Run Chinese Restaurant in Great Neck was a delightful fusion of tradition and culinary artistry. The restaurant welcomed us with a festive atmosphere, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration. The service stood out for its warmth and professionalism, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Staff members were attentive and offered insightful recommendations that catered to all tastes, enhancing our meal with their expertise. The food was the centerpiece of the evening. My favorite northern east Chinese restaurant! Update on 2.1.2022: Visited here on the last day of lunar year of 2021. Enjoyed our dinner of New Year's Eve. Primary reason to dine in here is for 合菜春饼. I have waited this dish for more than 1 year and finally it comes! Although the edge of pancake is a bit dry, I am still glad to try it. The serving speed is slow. Food is as great as usual. I hope they can have more waiter/waitress when they get too busy. Update on 10.30.2021: Today we visit again for Halloween LOL Their quality is quite stable and love the taste. One thing to notice is that they have a parking lot at the back operates from 9 to 6. So the parking is free after 6 p.m. We ordered 肉皮冻,红闷肘子,火爆腰花(which provides non-spicy version),家常疙瘩汤, and wrapped some of them for tomorrow. Update on 12.31.2020: We had the delivery of new year Eve dinner. My recommendation is 红油拉皮,东北酱骨头 and 红闷肘子.

When i went to this restaurant for lunch, it was fairly empty. We got seated quickly and i dined with a party of 5. The service was fast and the food was pretty decent. Good experience and should visit if you are free!

Google
Nice bright and clean restaurant! We only ordered the garlic grilled fish. Quite big portions, lots of vegetables. Not bad! The lady served us was friendly, will definitely go back to try more dishes!

Google
Absolutely our new go to place for delicious Chinese food. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were on point, the skill of the chef is commended! We ordered live black fish, beijing duck, crispy tofu, beef on a skillet and numerous vegetarian dishes for a party of 10. Everyone left with full bellies exclaiming how delicious dinner was!

Very pleasant venue with many authentic dishes that I wasn’t familiar with. Interesting spices. Excellent food and service.

Google
This restaurant offers some of the most traditional Chinese food I’ve had in the U.S.! The portions are generous, and the flavors are incredible. The Grilled Whole Fish(私房烤鱼) is absolutely outstanding—better than many restaurants in China. It’s perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a rich, flavorful seasoning that’s perfectly balanced. The Stir-fried pork(农家小炒) is another highlight—tender meat, fresh ingredients, and expertly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. Overall, an amazing dining experience. I’ll definitely be back again! Highly recommended for anyone who loves traditional Chinese cuisine.

My go to place for northern Chinese food. Love this place! I recommend it to all my friends and family.

Yelp
We stopped by for Friday night dinner, and was not expecting much from this local Chinese restaurant special for Northern East regional flavor. However, the dishes we ordered were surprisingly delicious and flavorful. I recommend the fish filets and the sesame balls desert. The restaurant is very clean and spacious so you don't worry about the social distancing.

Yelp
Always like the foods in Furun restaurant, north east food but popular for both American and the Asian, service is just fine , not new style = fast smile and over served, but also they are not old style service .waiters are too slow and need you ask for what you need! The restaurant look nice , just for you and friends hangs out for weekends or dinner. They are not fancy one .Cleanness is fine to go.

Yelp
Food is good, but not to a point of the prices on the menu. Yelp prices are even higher than ones on the paper menu. Google menu prices are out dated as of today. Inflation and all, not worth the high price.

Yelp
Tremendous menu that read like a Bible with lots of photographs, it was difficult to choose. We started with eggrolls and dumplings that were delicious. We shared Kung pow chicken, beef and orange and brown rice four ways & have a few meals left. Our server were attentive and on point. A delicious and reasonable dinner that we all enjoyed!

Yelp
We are their Zongzi super fans! Duck parts are another superb appetizer. Other dishes we tried were somehow overpowered with greasy sauce.

Yelp
One of our favorite Chinese restaurant and go to spot. The dishes were authentic and the prices reasonable, great to order a bunch of items and share it family style with a large party. The food here is consistent and the service always great. They also offer set menus for large gathering which changes periodically.

Yelp
I liked this place so much I went back the next day after a walk in the lazy river in Great Neck. I asked if they had lobster and they said there is a special: two lobsters over noodles and an additional vegetable dish of your choice for $65 or just one lobster with all of the above for $45. I chose the twin lobsters because I love lobster. I chose string beans as my vegetable, and they brought out a plate of the most delicious string beans I've ever had. I will definitely go back just for the string beans, dry sautéed with bits of pickled vegetables. Then they brought out the lobster dish, which was awesome. I also asked for a side of black bean sauce at my request because I love lobster with black bean sauce but they cooked with ginger and scallions. The noodles were just ok in my opinion due to it being a bit too soft for my taste but the lobster was excellent. I would ask for pan fried noodles next time. I enjoyed the corn soup with seafood, although in my opinion, it should be corn soup with chicken. The seafood they put in the soup was not that good with the soup. I will ask for chicken corn soup next time. This is what I grew up eating as a child, so it brought back memories. Ok, fast forward the next weekend: I ordered chicken corn soup and they made it for me: $9.99. Sooooo delicious, and much better than the seafood corn soup! I'm in love. Will order chicken corn soup often! They should put chicken corn soup on the menu.

Yelp
Certainly no competition for the Flushing venue! We were disappointed that the pics on the menu of the dishes were bogas and not a true representation of the actual dish...this was corroberated by the waiter who said the plate would not look like the picture... We got a cucumber salad that was not at all like the plate we expected and that went for most of the dishes we ordered....they were anemic! the Stir Fried Snow Peas with Pork Sausage was a travesty...little shards of hard pork on a small bed of snow peas. Would we return to this location....probably not! Would we return to the Flushing original...YES!

Yelp
We just had Father's Day celebration there. Food is excellent and fresh. The restaurant is now under new management team. The owner can customize dishes to your preferences. One key star is for the exceptional service. You would not experience the common problem in many Chinese restaurants - rude waiters/waitress.

Jeanette C.

Yelp
Food were very good. Staffs were very pleasant. Place is very clean. Definitely will come back again.

Yelp
Had the chicken & broccoli for lunch. It lacked flavor, and the chicken was a bit chewy. Was ok at best.

Yelp
4 stars automatically for not being "Americanized"!! I love their Flushing branch, but Flushing has gotten so over-crowded and it's so hard to find parking/get around. So happy that they opened a new location in Great Neck! In comparison to their Flushing location, this location is MUCH bigger and has MUCH nicer décor. Prices are also much higher (the only down-side). The food is authentic and delicious! This is seriously a MUST TRY restaurant. There is a municipal parking area right behind the restaurant. There is an additional parking lot that offers FREE parking (but only on weekends, after 5:30pm). 5 of us went for lunch on a Monday (President's Day). We made reservations for 12pm, but honestly, we didn't need to since the entire restaurant was empty! Shocking! Throughout our lunch, only 2 or 3 people came to dine. Again, shocking! I guess this is a hidden gem! This is what was for lunch today (we opted NOT to order from their lunch menu and opted to order these 3 dishes to share): ~ Country style green bean sheet jelly (delicious, unique appetizer; very tasty with a light peanut sauce to it; refreshing) ~ Lamb Chop w.cumin (cooked and seasoned to perfection. A must have!) ~ Fried Quail in special spicy sauce (quail was really good but there wasn't really any sauce). Service is very friendly and efficient; portion sized were large; menu was HUGE with pictures, which is very helpful. Again, so happy to have such an authentic Chinese restaurant in Great Neck! Recommended; and I will be back!

Yelp
If you don't mind paying $40 for overcooked cumin lamb rib, feel free to come eat here. I drove 40 min here because I had their cumin lamb rib many years ago when they were still in Flushing. It was very juicy and tasty back then. But now, it is so dry that it reminded me of leftover food that I reheated with microwave at home. There is little meat and fat left, except dried fibers. I asked the waitress if this lamb is always this dry or is it just today. The waitress said she didn't know and she never tasted this dish. She didn't seem to help too much. She just wanted to me leave hehe So I went to ask the manager the same question, and the manager basically said the same thing. He also assured me that the lamb is cooked fresh, not reheated. He suspected maybe the chef was in the rush because I got the restaurant 45 min before they closed. Oh, if you can't make decent food before the restaurant closes soon, maybe you shouldn't allow customers to pay $40 for it? I even asked if it was okay for me to dine it when I got there, or I could take out, because I didn't want to rush them. The manager said I could dine in. I ordered food as soon as I sat down and basically tried my best to eat fast and get out by 10pm. What did I get in return? $40 overcooked lamb rib that was barely meaty, not juicy at all. The manager didn't seem to provide any constructive help except saying he will let the owner know about this. So dear owner, please do not allow customers to dine in if you can't guarantee good food quality with a rushed chef. One star for the fast serving speed. I got all my food served within 10-15 min of ordering. I honestly don't know how the chef made it. Would give ZERO star if the speed comes from reheating the food. Won't come back

Yelp
Authentic northeastern Chinese food. The lamb and carrots dumplings taste just like my mom's homemade dumplings. It makes me homesick. Lamb chop is a must too. It's my favorite northeastern Chinese restaurant in New York.

Yelp
Was in the Great Neck neighborhood last Sunday and had a chance to try out this relatively new Chinese place at the plaza. Given that it just opened earlier this year everything was still quite sparking new. It was pretty quiet when we arrived around 1:30pm and service was quite excellent. I definitely like their large menu selection with plenty of large photos. Prices were a bit more expensive than I anticipated comparing to what you can find in Flushing and surrounding areas but they are pretty generous with the portion size so that makes up for it. Definitely recommend their appetizer line ups as the pork slices we had were very tasty and the sauce not overly salty and I would say my favorite dish out of the three we tried. The sweet and sour pork was definitely very nice too although at first was a bit surprised at the presentation since 糖醋排骨 we though usually would be have a layer of deep fried breading, but definitely this is an healthier version of it :) I wasn't expecting much of an authentic Chinese restaurant out here in Great Neck but its good that New Fu Run has surpassed my expectations. Definitely a great choice among the plenty of restaurants out here close to the train station.

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant after friend's recommendation. We got crispy duck, crispy beef and fried tofu with seafood. The portion is a bit on the smaller side given the price, but quality of food is good, I guess maybe they added in the cost of doing business during pandemic, which is understandable. They also have holiday specials that offers more dishes with fixed price, I may try it if I feel like eating some Chinese food for the new year

jakk l.

Yelp
Clean and airy. Love the big parking lot in the back! One of few restaurants we crave. The menu looks intimidating in the beginning so we asked the owner to recommend some dishes. Now those dishes are a must for our family! My son, the picky eater loves the sliced beef (no ox tongue) with chili sauce, the lamb chop with cumin, fried pork in orange sauce, and peking duck. We also love the steamed fish with tofu, tiger vegetables, tilapia with sweet and sour sauce, Green Bean Sheet Jelly w. Red Oil, and recently the Spicy Grilled whole fish. Everything was so yummy and flavorful! The sesame ball is a must to finish everything off. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with co-workers. The food choices were excellent. However, the food portion is a bit small compared to other places. Parking can be very limited. Service is on the spot, and it is definitely a great place to come for brunch

Yelp
Good northern Chinese. Friendly service. Great for Jews having Sunday night dinner in Great Neck.

Yelp
Had catering from there and the food was so good. I will definitely order frim them again!

Yelp
I have actually been waiting a long time for this place to open and it finally has! This is the sister restaurant to the Fu Run in Flushing on Prince St. (hence the name NEW Fu Fun lol). The interior and decor is very nice inside. Bright and clean with a good amount of space and seating and there's a huge bar towards the middle area of the restaurant. I went here on a Sunday night with a group of 3. Since the place is still new, there weren't too many patrons inside, but not completely dead and it was past the dinner run, so still pretty good. We were seated right away, but it took a little while to get someone's attention so we could order tea (PS: their tea pots are plastic and spill everywhere). Once we ordered our tea, we were asked if we were ready to order (we were not), so we took a few more minutes to decide, waiting patiently for a server to return, but then finally just had to flag down someone so we could place our food order. We ordered the lamb chops, sesame shrimp, fried fish, beef lo mein and pork & leek dumplings. I didn't try the lamb chops as it's not my preferred choice of meet, but everything tasted good. My favorite was probably the sesame shrimp because it was what I was most familiar with and would order again the next time I ate at New Fu Run or ordered take-out, but probably the most surprising dish was the fried fish. Pieces of fried fish in a bowl and it was pretty tasty! Pleasantly surprised and pleased, so I would definitely order this dish (sorry I don't remember the exact name, but all photos are attached for reference). On a sad note, they charge $1 extra for rice. It's not that it's expensive or outrageous, but we ordered 5 dishes and nothing came with even one little bowl of white rice. I would think that at a Chinese restaurant, this would be a given, but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, the overall takeway is that this place had good food with a bit of a hefty price tag, a large variety of dishes (photos on the extensive menu help a lot) and mediocre customer service. I will probably return or just do take-out, but either way, I left very full and mostly satisfied, so it's a win to me!

Yelp
Attention everyone! Great Neck has a new hot spot. New Fu Run opened less than a month ago and at 6:30pm on a Saturday it was packed. That's a good sign, since many new businesses here tend to flop. Finally, an AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant serving more than just your standard sesame chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce dishes. Yes, they have those things on the menu but they also have the good stuff like intestines and jellyfish for you adventurous eaters out there! I haven't had mapo tofu in years, not since I lived in Manhattan where it was easily accessible. Seeing it on the menu, I HAD to have it, so that was exactly what I ordered for pickup. I ended up having to wait a bit for my food when I arrived, but I'm assuming that was due to quite the crowd in the restaurant. For a new place it's a shock to see it this busy so quickly! As I waited I couldn't help but peek at what different tables had ordered and I cannot wait to come back for a sit-down meal to try some of the funkier things on the menu. One point I'd like to make is that they already know their customers. When I was placing my order, the woman on the phone said "mapo tofu has pork, can you eat it?" (It's listed in the vegetarian section, which I've seen happen with this dish all the time, but REAL mapo tofu has pork...and this was no exception) That's a good sign. Luckily, unlike a lot of the town's population, I don't keep kosher. Oh, and did I mention...it was great. Spicy, silky, and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazingly solid and authentic Chinese. Lamb is so good. Mapo tofu also on repeat. Eggplant not to be slept on. Clean, friendly, attentive service. Make this your next family gathering spot. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
The food here is on point! I live pretty far and whenever a friend offers to drive here, I jump on the opportunity fast. Here are my recommendations from, where the first three are a definite must: 1. Salted Egg corn- deep fried corn tossed in a salted egg seasoning its divine. Tip if you are bringing it home: Put it in the air-fryer for 10 minutes(if not preheating) on top of aluminum foil at 400 degrees, once time is up let it cool until it hardens a bit (typically 5-10 minute cool down depending on your heat preference). It wont taste as good when dining in, but still delicious enough for me to always order extra to bring home, its that good. 2. Sweet and Sour fried fish: Not only is the presentation impressive but the fried fish is perfectly cooked, tender inside and crispy on outside. The sauce reminds me of freshly made version of sweet thai chili sauce and enhances the dish more. 3. Sweet and sour pork: Amazingly crispy even after being drenched in a honey colored sauce, and the pork has been tenderized so much that it looks like thin slivers of meat but is sooo satisfying to eat. 4. Corn pancake (Dessert): I actually don't like corn but this place really knows how to elevate corn to a whole new level. Get extra condensed milk with this dish if you can, a great way to smother that deep fried glutinous corn pancake with some sweetness!
google avatar

Solène R.

Yelp
Very good, I definitely liked it! Tina is so nice!! Everything seems authentic Chinese, a large choice of plates! Portions are very big and it's not so expensive !

Yelp
Poor service. We had wait for 15 mins for waitress to take our order and we mentioned to waitress that we are ready. But the waitress went to other table who came 10 mins after us. How rude.
google avatar

Jimmy L.

Yelp
The $37 lamb chop cumin wasn't worth it. It was dry, nothing like how I remember from their old Flushing restaurant.

Mike M.

Yelp
Have been to this restaurant a few times and the food has always been on point. Well-presented and delicious. My recent visit though was a major disappointment. I ordered the spicy chicken Szechuan style. My favorite dish there. Unfortunately, it was easy to tell that the chicken was re-fried which made it dry and nasty. I likely won't be back here for a while, if at all. The staff is very nice, which is always a positive.
google avatar

Mary Jane R.

Yelp
Food was tasty - we had sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice. There was a piece of blue rubber band in the rice which turned us off to the entire meal. It happens ... but it shouldn't. They followed Covid rules - the restaurant was locked and I had to ring a bell and someone came out and brought us the food.
google avatar

Mandy Z.

Yelp
Best Chinese place in town! Family favorite, the go to place for takeout, and best bone soup when sick, also for treating guests that are visiting.
google avatar

Jorge A.

Yelp
Very enjoyable northern style dishes. They also do well with others like the lamb chops with cumin and tilapia sweet and sour (squirrelfish). My favorite is a sweet fried corn pancake. The restaurant is decorated and appointed well; it is a pleasurable dining experience with excellent and attentive service. Why only 4 stars? We have come here often, before and during covid. It seems that they are doing well; on Christmas Eve there were many diners, delivery and takeout orders. But the wait for any particular dish or service type could be 40 minutes or more. Like many other restaurants they should consider where to focus their best efforts (either delivery or in-room dining) and not try to do everything where the risk of failing and losing clientele increases.
google avatar

Shamik M.

Yelp
I'm so happy that there is a branch of the original Flushing Fu Run here - there is no other place that I've been to in the US that comes as close to replicating deep Northern Chinese food. The flavors are not "sanitized" for blander palates which is the usual trap that LI ethnic restaurants run into. I do think the food here is less consistent than that of the Flushing branch. Try the cumin lamb dishes of course as that is what they are famous for, but I love the cumin fish, country style pork bone (it's mostly bone as advertised), country style bean sheet jelly and so on. If you like tripe or chitterlings then this place has many options as well!

Yelp
I really wanted to like their food but seriously did not. The service was great and for that reason I gave them 3 stars.

Yelp
I found this restaurant from Newsday top 100 restaurant in Long Island. The food is really good and the service is friendly and kind. There is also plenty of parking spaces in the back which makes it very convenient. My favorite dishes are their roasted duck, crispy lamb and cold noodle.

Yelp
Really enjoyed dinning here. Food is excellent with many varieties to choose from and the extremely fresh too. All the seafood were fresh and nothing frozen which is really amazing. We were in a private room and were very impressed by the services there. Really proud of their representation for the cuisine.

Yelp
I haven't had Chinese food in over 8 months after going towards a WFPB lifestyle. I'd figure it would be a hassle ordering Vegan Chinese food. I didn't know how and wasn't sure if there would be cross contamination from the animal meats. After looking at so many Chinese places by my job this place felt like it was best! And it was!! So happy I ordered. Very friendly, fast, accommodating and understandable staff! I ordered the tofu and broccoli with Brown sauce Vegetable fried rice (no egg) Vegetable dumplings The tofu and broccoli tasted amazing just how I remembered but better! The rice was great not too oily. Mixed with the tofu and broccoli it was bomb! I've never had vegetable dumplings before so I wasn't sure what to except. They tasted good but I wouldn't order again. It's a little pricy ( I honestly forgot how much I would pay) but the portions were huge. Definitely will be ordering here again! Thank you

Yelp
This is a perfect authentic Chinese restaurant serving a big menu of delicious Chinese cuisine including desserts! Their service is fast and friendly. The beautiful owner always makes her guests feel like home. Even my American white husband is hooked on their authentic Chinese cuisine which he never tried before. Our favorite dishes are: crispy fried pork with aromatic tea leaves, baby chicken and mushrooms soup, fish filets with black wood ear mushrooms, braised shrimp with napa cabbage, steamed whole fish, fried squids, Chinese herbal soups and many more. The restaurant is spacious and beautifully decorated. They provide high chairs for small children. They also have private rooms with karaoke which can fit a few tables for a big family party. Highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

Yelp
This place is our go-to spot when it comes to either dining in or having something for take-out. When we used to live in Flushing I use to dine at that location often, so after moving to Great Neck I was really excited to hear about this place opening a few years ago. Ever since opening I have always been a regular at this location. The food and service is always splendid. One of my personal favorite is the sliced pork belly in hot oil. Another dish that we commonly get is either the beef or fish in chili oil. My son seems to love this place as well, every time I mentioned that we're going out to eat he'd assume we be eating at Fu Run.
google avatar

Roger C.

Yelp
We were really excited that an offshoot of Flushing's Fu Run was opening up in Great Neck. Most of the Asian restaurants here are fusion and cater to Western tastes. An Chinese authentic restaurant would be a nice addition to this area. While the menu selection is large, the decor and service decent, the food was really disappointing. There's a disclaimer on the menu that the pictures won't match what you'll actually get. That's a red flag. We tried corn seafood soup, soft fried salt and pepper pork, spinach and scallion pancake. Everything was bland and disappointing. The soup in particular was terrible -- it looked nothing like the picture and was very watery. It felt like they were watering down the flavors for some reason. We will give this place a second try, hopefully it gets better with time. But right now this town is still lacking a good authentic Chinese restaurant. At least there's Little Neck and Flushing!
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
This place really caused me to reevaluate my previously negative assumptions about Northeastern Chinese food. Triple delight vegetables is a CLASSIC and a must try. I also enjoyed the crispy corn pancake - basically corn and what looks like succotash fried into a pancake and dipped in what I think is condensed milk - sounds weird, tastes amazing. Also enjoyed the deep fried small yellow fish with salt and pepper, and the braised pork joint (so much meat!) Give Northeastern Chinese food a try! Unfortunately it's one of the lesser known Chinese cuisines.

Lynn C.

Yelp
Rating should be zero. I ordered pork, they gave me beef. Pay attention to customer order before handing it off the the delivery driver!

Yelp
We came in pretty late around 21:10pm today but the server's still welcomed us and with friendly smiling. I had a few times bad experiences from others cos usually if shop is stated there 9:30pm they wont allow you to sei in for dining cos they are rushing to close their shop. It was my first time here and the first expression has made me felt so comfortable of their service. The restaurant condition was so clean and in tip top condition. Beautiful interior making it looks luxury and very spacious. The foods that we had ordered was very good and we like it so much. The sesame shrimps and another kind of Sze Chuan spicy pork. Superbs thumbs up for both. Both portion was big enough for 2-3 persons. And the tea they served was good too. Thank you for your excellent service and putting your customer in first priority. Especially, the male server with glasses and the lady look like a manager or owner. Thank you for your service! Im leaving with smiling We will definitely will come back soon!

Yelp
Once again, delicious food, full of color, flavor, fresh ingredients, intriguing textures. Lovely service from solicitous staff. I ordered two spicy dishes to go -- spicy shredded pork and Sichuan chicken, and they not only passed the test, they surpassed it. The test? With any dish, close your eyes and explain to yourself what the ingredients are, what you are eating, how you think it was prepared. (Counter-example: in an airport sandwich you might taste only mustard or cole slaw.) At New Fu Run, the flavor leaps out at you -- and is multi-layered. Spice is not simply to incinerate the palate, but to harmonize with the other ingredients. Of course, there are complaints. This is Yelp, of course! If you come here looking for chicken chow mein like the dinner you had with Mom and Dad at China Moon in 1960, you will be disappointed. But otherwise? This is a five-star Chinese restaurant. And I wasn't hungry immediately afterwards (in memory of John Pinette). I hope they stay and prosper.

Yelp
Yum! Have dined inside prior to COVID several times, and did curbside pick up yesterday for the first time. A go-to for delicious authentic Chinese food on Long Island.

Yelp
Very authentic Chinese take out we tried today for the first time; kids can't wait to dig in. The peiking duck was very good & tender. Some ducks made into soup was extremely delicious. The vegetable is fresh, kids gave two thumbs up. Location was super convenient with parking in the back & back entrance. Restaurant owner very friendly and courteous, had a great experience! Definitely recommend !

Yelp
Ordered lunch special tofu hot garlic sauce that was too salty, greasy then asked for green beans and same thing greasy overcooked. My husband sent back chicken too. I never ate then they gave us a bill for 2 meals. Are you kidding me! Worst food ever and poor service.

Yelp
I love the food here! Everything is authentic and done to perfection. I was a devoted customer at the original Fu Run in Flushing. And I think New Fu Run surpasses that of the original. Among my favorite dishes are Country Style Green Bean Sheet Jelly, Crispy Lamb with Cumin, Stew Cabbage with Pork & Vermicelli. The only thing I'd like to say is, the staff needs to be better at introducing their dishes to the customers. Dishes here are not your typical suburban Chinese restaurant version. I can understand some people may be reluctant to order dishes they are not familiar with. I would love to see this restaurant do well as it indeed offers very good food!
