This review is regarding our NeXT@HOME experience for Valentine's Day 2026. Our family ordered three 'Valentine's@HOME' dinner for two kits for our daughters 24th birthday dinner last night. It was 'funtastic'. We‘ve done this four times now and it’s always so much fun.
The six of us take turns preparing the seven courses in groups of two, and the other four can drink the included cocktails and wine, and chat while they eagerly wait for the next delicious course.
Having run businesses ourselves, we can’t help but think of the team of chefs and other staff required to pull this unusual experience off so perfectly. There are so many containers filled with carefully prepared ingredients, all delivered on time to their customers. Not to mention the choreography of matching the entertaining video of Chef Blackie describing the preparation & plating process, so that inexperienced people can follow. Trying to come up with a multi-course dinner, finding suppliers, ordering the ingredients, adapting when things inevitably don't go to plan, etc. It’s not as easy as the customer might think, having received the carefully curated end product.
To Chef Blackie and his team, we just wanted to let you know that everything went perfectly from our perspective, and we also wanted you to know that we appreciate the hard work you and your team do every year to make this happen.
