The Best Places To Eat In Little Five Points

"The interior of Niramish off Euclid Ave is sparse, with just a few booths and tables. We like to make up elaborate Liam Neeson-movie backstories for the rare one to two loners who actually eat inside since this is mostly a takeout joint. Everything is good, and the menu is massive with lots of Indian dishes, including curry, biriyanis, and three types of naan (the garlic is our fave). And every dish can be made with your choice of protein from lamb to tofu. The options are endless, but just know one bite of their creamy butter chicken will solidify their place on your regular food roster." - juli horsford

Google
My first time trying Indian food, and I have to say—it was incredible! Everything was packed with flavor. I ordered the chicken wings and the Chicken Makhani (I believe that’s how it’s spelled), and both were a 10/10. The customer service was also top-tier—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Google
The ambiance is casual posh, in the heart of L5P The water was cold ice cold without any ice, perfect! The food was incredibly delicious and perfectly spiced. I was asked what level of spice I wanted and the outcome was exactly what I’d hoped for medium high spice and my head began sweating ever so lightly 🙏🫶🏼 Lamb vindaloo Stuffed porota

Google
By far the best Indian food around Little five, Freedom and Candler park! Veggie options, awesome curries, you’ve got to try them out. I wish I ate more meat after coming here 🤤😋

Google
Everything is always amazing!!! I usually get the same exact dish and our waitress Tamara suggested a dish to try and it was soooo good! Her service was amazing also!

Google
The food was amazing! My friend I got the family deal with the vegetable selection and it was more food than we could finish. We all ended up taking boxes home and it was better the next day. Tamanna took very good care of us and always made sure we had everything we need. I would recommend this spot to everyone because the food felt really good to eat and it was good. It was like eating an Indian home cooked meal.

Google
Absolutely delicious every time I come!! Thank you so much for the service and hospitality. Highly recommend.

Google
Delivered from Uber eats. Super disappointed in the food. Pakorma were rock hard, raita was very … ….sweet? Had coconut curry with salmon. Large portion of salmon but it was hard, dry, and fishy. Was either old or frozen. Even the naan were disappointing. Overly charred and the cheese one was greasy and bland. Even the rice had a strange color to it. Wouldn’t order again.

Benjamin Strickland

Google
Excellent Indian cuisine, truly feels like a home cooked meal, and the quality of ingredients is excellent. Service has always been very polite, both in store and "at the door", and delivery is always much sooner than anticipated. In-Store, there is less curb-appeal in the presentation, but they buy and make quality food like no one else. It would be a disservice to yourself to pass it up on appearances alone.

Yelp
I've only ordered DoorDash and the food is BOMB! Thank you for the generous portions and affordable prices! Really good Indian food. I usually get butter chicken and saag paneer and they never disappoint. Garlic naan is heavenly. Will have to try other options soon.

Yelp
I ordered via Uber eats. I had the chana begoon and garlic naan. 5 starts for the chana. I asked for hot and they delivered. Thank you for not shying away on the spice. The garlic and other flavors come through nicely and are not overpowered by the heat. I love this dish because the chickpeas give more body to the puréed eggplant and it pairs with rice so well. You get the tomatoey chickpea goodness of a chana masala and the mashed, garlicky hit of a begoon bhorta. Naan was just okay. I've had better garlic naan texture-wise. This was quite flat and didn't have the elasticity that I so enjoy.

Yelp
Went here for dinner while visiting my brother in GA. The food was very good. The portions are a lot so if you don't eat a lot one meal can serve two people. The service was good, however we weren't asked what we wanted to drink we were just automatically give tap water. The feel of this restaurant is a bit homey and the staff who seem like a family are very nice people. Apart from the water I would go back to eat here if I'm ever in the area

Yelp
The food is incredible, I love the chicken tikka, combining it with the raita along with some naan and a bit of rice really nourished my soul.

Yelp
The cockroach crawling on my table? I won't be back. This should not happen in a clean and healthy restaurant environment. You are endangering the health of your patrons.

Yelp
I ordered on Ubereats. This is the butter chicken (hot) with garlic naan. Everything was so delicious. Very spicy so be cautious.

Justin H.

Yelp
First time being there was today i got a medium goat curry and a mild tikka masala and some garlic naan and a mango lassi. I knew this place was gonna be good because the lady who looks like to be the wife of the owner she says "this your first time here?" I smile and say yes and she says "ah you'll definitely be back" and you know she was right i will in fact be back. Every box that you could check for a good Indian restaurant this place hits every one of them. Good food, good portions. The goat curry in my opinion is the best one.

Yelp
My feelings can be condensed into one word, garbage. We ordered the butter chicken. The sauce was flavorless and watery and the chicken was harder and bouncier than a lacrosse ball. If I was to force myself to name a flavor, I would say that it tasted like they panfried chicken then simply just boiled the chicken in ketchup and water until it hit an acceptable consistency. We are incredibly disappointed by our food here. We tried so many pieces of chicken hoping one would be edible and could not find a single edible piece. The chicken also honestly looked like potatoes and carrots and did not look appetizing in any way.

Yelp
Ordered garlic naan and chicken mahkni- sooo yummy!!! Spice level medium was perfect. Good portion sizes too. Very impressed with the taste compared to other Indian restaurants that are more expensive and highly rated like Blue India and Zyka. Will definitely be ordering from here over and over again!!!

Yelp
Got an order delivered to me, which is usually an awful idea because the quality just isn't as good. But after flying back, i didn't have the energy to get it myself. The food was bomb. I'm only mad that I didn't order more. The niramish style wings have a Chinese sweet and sour tang, but the warmth of Indian spices. I dig them. I sautéed up some shredded cabbage in the leftover sauce and it was everything. Although my go to is usually butter chicken (SO. BASIC. I know. I embrace it.), but I decided to change it up and order the chicken rogan josh (medium spicy). It was everything I asked for. A nice, rich gravy with tender meat and crisp vegetables. It was a little too spicy for me but luckily, I ordered the raita to help cool it down. Chana bhaji were perfectly cooked chickpeas that were so flavorful. I rounded the meal out with some naan. Definitely a satisfied customer.

Yelp
The food here doesn't look that great, but if you judge based on just the looks, you probably missed out on a lot of good food. I've tried several entrees from Niramish, and I have enjoyed them all! My favorite are the Aloo Gobi and the Lamb Biryani. The Goat Vindaloo is also pretty good, but it wasn't traditional vindaloo; it was more on the sweet side than spicy. Also, check out the Chicken Wings Niramish Style if you like some heat.

Yelp
I was so impressed with the taste, quality of the food and the great service. Munna was our server. Food came perfectly hot cooked to perfection. We got their special mushroom soup, cheese naan bread and the lamb tandoori. All were delicious. We had to order when we were leaving 2 more soups to take home for my son to try. Highly recommend. We will be back soon with the rest of our family.

Yelp
Better than it looks. Honestly felt a little uneasy when I first walked in, but the food we ordered was delicious and the peta bread was nice and fresh. They were also really nice there. Also for the price, the portions were huge. Definitely got enough food to feed me again tomorrow.

Yelp
Best Indian food I've had in Atlanta, and I've tried 10+ places. I've still only had this as takeout and it is still the best, so I can only imagine eating at the restaurant is that much better. I always get chicken tikka masala and my husband butter chicken and the chicken falls apart and the sauces are on point. Naan is delicious as well. The true test of a good Indian restaurant, they are not afraid to spice the dishes! If you order "hot" it will truly be hot. Also different than the many Indian restaurants I've tried in ATL where level hot is really a medium because they're scared to make it too spicy for white ppl. 10/10.
google avatar

Sha C.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Perfect flavor, freshness, portions, temperature and packaging. Also, if you want authentic Indian level spicy, their Desi hot level hits it. I had their chicken vindaloo (desi hot), veggie samosas and mango lassi. I ordered through a UberEats and was hesitant to get it through delivery, but glad I did and will do it again. Looking forward to trying more food on their menu!

Yelp
Beware. Let's just start with... We found a long straight back hair in our food. IN OUR FOOD! I'm disgusted just thinking about it. We ordered from Uber Eats and although I'm usually not a fan of having food delivered, it was a long day and we needed to eat. We ordered chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka masala and Chana masala. The first thing I noticed was it looked like they accidentally gave me two chicken tikka masala but there was white meal in both dishes, that annoyed me but it wasn't a deal breaker because we were hungry but as we're eating I realize that there is red meat in the dish after all. So we received one chicken tikka and one mixed tikka with a couple lamb cubes and chicken cubes, weird. However as we're eating our overly spicy and not super flavorful food, I go to spoon out more Chana masala for our CHILD and our comes a long straight hair tangled in with the chick peas! I almost lost it!! We immediately threw everything away and relied heavily on our pre-meal prayer because obviously health standards are not prioritized in this establishment. Whether this is the norm or an anomaly, I'd rethink eating at this place.

Yelp
Wow! An Indian place in little 5 with 4 stars??? Just so happens, we had a major storm come through East ATL and our power has been out for 4 hours. I was getting "hangry" at this point. 9 pm and no way to cook, and all the restaurants in our immediate area had no power either. I jumped on Zifty for delivery, and chose places that still delivered to our area, but at least 5 miles away. So on a hope and prayer, I ordered. Holy cow!! First off, the delivery guy was 15 minutes early which really made me happy! Now let's get down to business: we had the garlic naan, pakoras, somosas, and coconut beef curry. The guy was so fast with the order, when we opened the curry, it was still piping hot! Unbelievable again! The food was just a gorgeous meal, eaten in the dark, with my hubby, by candlelight with the Sinatra channel playing in the background. The fast service, piping hot food, and the delicious quality and huge portions, turned this grouch into a fan! Enjoy kids!!!!
google avatar

Allie K.

Yelp
We love this place! My boyfriend and I frequently order from Niramesh. Not only is their food delicious (particularly the veggie samosas!) but they also deliver for free within 4 miles of Little 5. Service is fast and friendly. Plus, the portion sizes are always big enough to have leftovers for the next day, or for sharing. My go-to order is the Ponir Tikka Masala or Chana Masala with naan. The "mild" spice is more sweet and creamy, then the "normal" spice is rich with a kick (at least for me lol). Beyond that you're on your own. TLDR: Their food, service, and prices are great! Give them a try.

Yelp
Authentic ethnic food is an excellent way to experience a different culture. I love eating the food regular people are eating in restaurants in there neighborhoods. I thought this was an opportunity to do that. I had the salmon level 8 Dhanshag. Awesomely delish!!!! There are a lot of "Indian" restaurants. This one seems to be serving very good authentic food. I enjoyed it so much. I will be returning for more.

Yelp
I was very pleased by my recent takeout order from Niramish. Craving a curry on a chilly Saturday evening, I ordered a classic paneer tikka with a side of cheese naan and onion chutney. As a pepperhead, I was really happy to see that Niramish lets you customize your spice level. I went with hot, which was actually spicy, and a good twist on tikka, which is usually a bit creamy and bland. The naan and chutney were also very good, and kept well for leftovers. I would certainly order Niramish again when the mood strikes.

Squid D.

Yelp
Disappointing. Ordered pickup on a Saturday night. Ordered the Goat Biryani and Goat Curry and Garlic Naan. The food was ready on time which was great. Naan was stale. Goat curry was decent, 3/5. Good flavors. I didn't realize there was no vegetables in it, that was my bad. Goat Biryani was packed full of rice and 8 small pieces of goat. Was decent flavor, but the way the dish was made felt like they were trying to get rid of extra rice and packed it all in the dish which made the flavors less pronounced. Would not come back. Would not recommend. Was excited to try an Indian place in ATL and this wasn't it.
google avatar

Joey N.

Yelp
Order onion chutney along with other items. It had MOLD in it. MOLD. When I complained about it, I was told they'd only refund the chutney even though it had now touched all of my other food. Stay the HELL away from this God awful place. I've attached more horror stories for your terrible viewing pleasure.

vidhi d.

Yelp
Waited two hours to get my food delivered & it was not worth the wait. Such a disappointment. The paneer tikka masala is a lot sweeter than what it is like authentically. I asked for some utensils & salt and pepper multiple times on my order and when I received it- it did not have any. Would not recommend to anybody or eat here again.
google avatar

Leah M.

Yelp
This place is not aesthetically pleasing on the inside, but they make for it with great customer service and food! The food was absolutely delicious with flavors popping everywhere! The seating is limited and the menu is not up to date with new prices, so just be aware of that.
google avatar

Ana C.

Yelp
Delicious. One of the best Indian food places out there... I highly recommend... if you like spice adjust your spice level and enjoy !! I LOVE the tikka masala, spice level is perfect it's not sweet like other places tend to ruin masala w the sweetness. It's perfection!!! everything here is really good.... You can't go wrong.
google avatar

Gerard M.

Yelp
Best butter chicken a ever ate. Paired with the garlic naan ... I accented into food heaven

Picky V.

Yelp
Delicious vegetarian options. Very flavorful and delicious. Samosas were incredible!!!

C B.

Yelp
Seriously one of the best Indian places in ATL. I've tried it on Uber eats a lot but came in person for the first time. Best Naan bread I've had!! And chicken tikka masala is great. Food came out in 5 minutes. The servers are kind and welcoming. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Lowrance H.

Yelp
Closest thing to crack.... so delicious! The chicken tikka masala is to die for.... ambiance is chill
google avatar

Namitha S.

Yelp
I had ordered Chana Masala here when traveling. Food was ready on time. The food tasted really good. The spice was well balanced and the spice level was as expected which blended well with the rice. It helped me experience the Indian cuisine at a reasonable price. The food quantity was good. Would definitely check out other items on their menu if am in the vicinity once again.

Ritik P.

Yelp
Unfortunately this was a disappointment. I had to throw away half my naan because the bottom layer was nice and crispy but the top of the naan was soft and doughy. The poratta was dry and tasted nothing like how it should. That was upsetting, then realizing that the rice was overcooked ruined the rest of the meal. Their spice level's are quite accurate, we got medium (they call it hot) but it definitely had a kick! The butter chicken was also a disappointment, it was very watery, and the chicken was three large slimy pieces. Overall upsetting experience
google avatar

Cassidy C.

Yelp
This Indian food definitely hit the spot! It was soooo good. I got the Chicken Somosa and Garlic Naan. They were okay, not the best i've had but they were fine. The naan was the most disappointing bc it's my favorite and it was dry and hard. We also got the Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, and the Lamb Curry. All of those entrees were AMAZING. I got my friend who doesn't like alot of food to try the curry chicken and he loved it. It was perfectly seasoned and I love that they let you choose your spice level. The medium was just enough kick for me and the mild was not spicy at all but still really flavorful. My fiancé, who works on ships at the ports on the coast, has had authentic Indian food from when he works vessels with Indian crews. He got the spiciest level lamb (he really loves spicy food) and he said he loved it. He said it burned but for some reason he likes it to do that lol. I and him, would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat really good flavorful Indian food. I would say this is a safe option if your looking for a good entree because I know the food will be good but the sides like the naan and somosas fall off. Sides get and the entrees get .
google avatar

India E.

Yelp
Hands down some of the best Indian food in the city. The staff greets you like family. This is not one of those decorated spots that lacks in flavor. They let the food speak for itself. I tried the lamb tikka masala/ samosas and my boyfriend got the coconut curry tofu. Everything was amazing. I can't wait to try the other items on the menu!!!
google avatar

Alondra M.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! I've placed various orders via Doordash and I always receive my order before the scheduled time and the best part is it always arrives hot and ready to eat no need to microwave. Tikki Masala is incredible with the perfect amount of spice and the portion is the perfect amount! The garlic Naan bread is my FAVORITE and I always end up wishing I ordered more of it. The coconut chicken curry is also amazing and probably my new favorite dish. Definitely the best Indian takeout I've ever had, can't wait for my next order :)
google avatar

Ayanna B.

Yelp
The food here is really good! Really good. There were several moments while eating the meal that I paused to appreciate just how good the food tasted (I only ate the vegetarian dishes, so I can't speak on the dishes with meat). I wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but it clearly satisfied me. Rarely do I feel inclined to write Yelp reviews...
google avatar

Pete B.

Yelp
I love to experience ethnic foods and Indian is at the top of my list. If you like Indian cuisine, you're not going to find a better restaurant in the Atlanta metro area. There isn't much for ambience but it's really all about the food! Enjoy!
google avatar

Erik S.

Yelp
Horrible service. It took an hour and 54 minutes to get food. Once arrived the delivery driver was rude and yelled at me for not meeting at curb-- even with no contact delivery selected as option. Once the food finally arrived, it was bland, chicken incredibly dry and rice something you'd get from a boil in bag. Naan was decent-- only redeeming quality. Avoid this place at all costs.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
I've eaten in the restaurant only once, and had delivery many times. The food is almost always great, and it's never bad. I've had minor quibbles about the consistency of some dishes is about all. But the delivery is almost always astonishingly late, hence the three stars for a place with great food. It's been over two hours on more than one occasion, and the food suffers from the long delivery time. Also, delivery has never been quick. Not once. I used to deliver food, and in my 'expert' opinion, this looks like a simple case of not enough drivers. Hire more drivers, Niramish. You'll probably make more money. There's competition from other decent Indian delivery in the area, but none are as good, provided your food doesn't sit in the bag for an hour.

Zhanelle C.

Yelp
Really good food. Really good and hospitable service. Nice atmosphere; busy but not loud or uncomfortable.

Yelp
We noticed this little place when we were in town the previous weekend for a show at Variety Playhouse. Visiting L5P, as we always do when traveling to Atlanta, we decided to have lunch here. So glad we did! It was the best Indian food I've had! I would make a day trip just to lunch here again. We're vegetarians, and they had 15 or 20 dishes we could choose from. As well as vegetarian samosas (delicious!) and mullugatawny (sp?) soup (also delicious!). The samosas come with mint chutney and tamarind sauce, both of which were the best versions of each that I've ever tasted. So fresh! The onion chutney was very good, and a bit spicy. The boyfriend had a mixed vegetable curry and I had a Lentil dish spiced with ginger and turmeric, topped with roasted garlic and cilantro. We chose to go with "medium" heat, (they offer mild, medium, and spicy). If you like heat, medium is good. If we hadn't been sharing dishes, the boyfriend would probably have chosen spicy. Both dishes were freshly prepared, and so flavorful! And the naan was soft and fluffy. It's a small restaurant, but it doesn't feel claustrophobic. The staff are friendly, and always there refilling your glass, or asking if you need anything. I cannot recommend this place enough!! We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Natasha N.

Yelp
We've had literally every Indian restaurant in ATL and this is by far the best. We always have vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala and chicken saag ponir- delicious every time and very generous portions.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Vegetable curry, samosa & naan all delicious. The curry entree is a ton of food! I order delivery to avoid dealing with parking in Little 5 Points.
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
Go to Planet Bombay. They will feed you. *DO NOT ORDER ONLINE* look at every low review on here. It's all attached to their online ordering. When the food arrived at our house, I was shocked to see how little food we actually got for 40+ dollars. I drove to them, asked for my money back. The guy at the counter said "this is the first time anyone's complained " it's not dude, read the other Yelp reviews. 14-15 dollars for an entry should have me full....Do not sell people half empty 12oz cups.
google avatar

KT K.

Yelp
First off DELICIOUS . My friend and I both ordered Motor Paneer Makhani - SO flavorful. Comes with a side of basmati rice that's a perfect amount . The Mild option was barely spicy (in a good way), will probably try Medium next time. Naan bread was toasted with love. Papadum was crispy and tasty.
google avatar

Shoshana R.

Yelp
The best Indian food that I have had in Atlanta. Tender meat, sauces on point, and spices well balanced. I will be recommending Niramish to everyone I know!!! Support locally owned businesses y'all! :)
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Great Indian. I've only ever ordered on grubhub so I can't speak to the interior of the restaurant or anything about its environment. The stuffed poratta was delicious, fresh made, hot, and not at all greasy, with big chunks of veggies inside. The raita was tasty, sweet, and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp biryani is terrific. "Hot" was plenty hot for my tastes and I'm a big fan of spicy. I've also had the shaag aloo ponir and the ponir is house made and tasty. Can't really go wrong here.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
So many reviews complain about delivery... don't blame these guys for what GrubHub may or may not mess up. Because their food is great. Portion sizes are not overly large, but the flavor is wonderful. I personally had no issues with delivery

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Best Indian food in atl... lived there for 3 years and got it once a month.... Will miss it

Yelp
Delivery order. Vegetarian samosa - fairly large, fairly tasty if a bit unremarkable. Garlic naan - not the best in town but also not bad. Not oily like some. Did not reheat very well. Chicken vindaloo - love it, even if it isn't spicy. Shaag bhaji - excellent, not too oily. Mushroom bhaji - interesting and delicious. Quick delivery. You get a lot of rice. Four tubs came with the above order.
