Noble Rice

"Restaurants pack this area just off Channelside Drive, but Noble Rice deserves your attention, and not just because it's a sister spot to Koya. Unlike most minimalist Japanese restaurants, this place has a lively, modern vibe. There is an omakase on offer at a separate counter, but the real draw here is their à la carte sushi-focused menu with some izakaya and small plate options (think shrimp toast and karaage; skewers and ramen). Traditionalists should head for the king salmon nigiri sourced from New Zealand, while bold and creative flavor combinations are found in maki like the negi toro roll, with spicy fatty tuna, scallion, tobanjan kewpie in a black garlic soy sauce. Steer seasonal, as in the bright Dungeness crab salad." - Michelin Inspector

Exceptional, friendly staff that worked very well together to make our dining experience special. The ambiance was sophisticated and comfortable. The food, especially the sushi was fresh, tasty, and creatively plated. The drinks were an interesting take on some classics.

This place is really a great place. First off, the ambience of the place is really good and the atmosphere is really nice. The next u see is that the service is the best. We had Ronnie serve our table and she did such an amazing job right from the start to the end. And now to talk about the food it was just phenomenal. The taste of the food is so rich and the flavors are so well balanced it's just really amazing. Plus u can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Me and my friends tried the beef tartare , kamo crostini , tan tan men ramen, black ramen and bone marrow Everything we tried was really delicious. And we were recommended to try the beef tartare and kamo crostini and it was just so heavenly. Love the place and food. And i would also like to thank Ronnie, because one of my friends accidentally forgot their car keys in the restaurant and she ran behind us to give us the keys 😄

One of the most special and high quality sushi meals I’ve had!! Everything was delicious, with clean & intentional flavors. I’m excited to come back and try their next seasonal items! I think we had a better experience sitting at the bar vs a normal table, staff was very kind, engaging and helpful! Have a few parking options planned when you go as the area is busy!

My boyfriend took me out for my birthday and 10/10 everything. From the ambiance to the food and Japanese inspired decor...was just WOW. We sat in the booths and they are really comfortable, very intimate and felt like we weren’t congested. My boyfriend is 6’1 and didn’t feel like he was in a tight spot and had plenty of leg room. Place is seriously clean and not overall dark where you can’t see people or your food. Our waitress was so sweet, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us the whole 411, and didn’t rush us when we were browsing and still deciding. They had a lot to serve! Not just her, other staff would come to our booth to clear out the table and let me tell you that our water cups were always full and always checking in but not the annoying way. Next time when we have more time, DEFINITELY want to try out the 24oz American Wagyu Ribeye along with the ramen and go back to our favorites and try others. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. We are definitely sushi-enthusiasts and you got a 5+ star from us. Thank you Noble Rice for the first best experience. Such a hidden gem! I went home and was in a food- coma. And I just woke up to write this review lol. I’ll definitely be back with friends and family! 🙏🏻🤍

Google
Me and a friend did the Omakese tonight and it was phenomenal. Chef Kevin was fantastic at explaining all the dishes, suggesting the best way to eat the dish, and answering any question thrown his way. The entire staff was a pleasure and the food was even better. The price is steep at just under $400 after tip for 2 people, but this is a really great “treat yo self” if you’re a foodie. If you base your meals on how much you get for how much you paid then you will be disappointed, but if you accept that it’s expensive because of the experience and the quality, then you will love it.

Google
This place is now my top 3 in Sushi restaurants. I have never had a better and most fresh fish than here. The King Salmon was like butter, the eel was on point, the tuna exquisite, and the drinks were better than I've had in a LONG time! Don't skip on new opportunities when looking for new places. I'm glad we found Noble Rice and even more glad we went. It was an experience that was worth every penny!!!

Google
Noble Rice was a quick stop for lunch. At first, we were unsure what to try, but our waiter kindly guided us through their specialties. The restaurant has a low-light, charming date-night vibe. We enjoyed our food and look forward to returning to try more of the menu. What was ordered: Tuna Poke Roll / Mango Jack.

Google
The service here was the best I've had anywhere - we were greeted by name and made to feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was seasonal, delicious, and just the right amount for the money. I couldn't have asked for a better evening for my partner's 30th birthday and can't wait to bring back friends and family!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! The food, atmosphere and service were all top notch! The assistant manager, Kenny, was super nice and welcoming. Our server Christian was exceptional! We ordered the flavorful Karaage, crispy pork belly, kamo crostini also had the tekka and king salmon rolls.

Yelp
After putting in some thought, I'm retracting my previous recommendation of this place. I was celebrating with my wife the night of, so I wrote a quick and simple review because I was excited to give 5*s but this experience fell significantly short of my expectations. Ambiance is quite nice, I appreciated the lighting. The music was quite loud during my experience so when the chefs presented each dish, it sounded like they had marbles in their mouths as they were reciting their memorized lines. I'd consider myself either average or slightly above average in size. At 5'10", 235 lbs (formerly 355 lbs!), I found the chairs and seating to be completely unacceptable. I was crammed into a little bar stool and was extremely uncomfortable for the duration of my meal. My wife usually complains about this type of thing and she didn't hear so maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe not though. I don't mind spending this type of money on dinner. I've done it several times in many large cities. I appreciate the extra quality ingredients and the theatrical presentation. What did blow my mind though, was that I was still HUNGRY after the last main item and before the dessert presentation. There's absolutely no excuse for this. My wife was hungry also so this is something I know is not just me. She eats like a bird too so this is a real serious knock on this experience. We added a simple tuna roll at the end, but as a chef, wouldn't that be embarrassing for someone to need to do after ordering the $150 per person plus tip prepaid in advance omakase? I completely get that I'm potentially a fat slob of an American that expects a few too many ounces of protein with my meal, but I was extremely dissatisfied with Noble Rice and truly couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Omg! The experience was just lovely and delicious. What you need to know about dinner: 1. Reservation REQUIRED. Maybe there is bar seating but make a reservation 2. Cute, small interior. Dark lit. Service was impeccable. Serviced by 100 waiters. Never an empty water glass. People were friendly. We talked food and flavors and favorites and curation. Delightful. 3. Food is so thoughtful! The flavor pairing. The bite ratio. Foodie dream. 4. This is not cheap. You're looking at $50-100 per person to really enjoy the experience. But I feel like it was worth it. 5. Do not shy away from the foie gras (sp?) chocolates! It's soooo interesting. Wild flavor. 6. Do yourself a favor and get the duck toast. I've never tasted anything like that and it was *chefs kiss* 7. Sushi rolls were huge! Thick! 8. Servers were just all lovely. So friendly, so accommodating, so knowledgeable. Wonderful. 9. Parking is in garage across the street. Will be trying again!

Yelp
Sleek, modern Japanese secure. Not too formal or stuffy. We were wearing Lightning jerseys prior to the game and didn't feel out of place. Ordered a la carts. I hear the vast majority of their fish comes from Toyosu fish market in Tokyo. Had the Akamai, Chu toro, toro, otoro. (Tuna sampler), Neto toro roll and uni. The fish was impeccable and I felt the uni was richer and creamier than Santa Barbara uni. The prices are high albeit lower for the most part than Nobu and I felt the quality was better than Nobu. Speaking of Nobu, the saikyo miso salmon was their take on the now ubiquitous Nobu black cod with miso and was delicious. Would pass on the bulgogi hand roll next time though. The Japanese old fashioned was wonderful. Will go back.

Yelp
Inventive and tasty sushi, so yea, I enjoyed our visit at this place. It's located on the channel drive's Sparksman Wharf area of Tampa where it's lively and has different food trucks options. Noble Rice is upscale and serves really great fresh ingredients so you will get your money's worth! Sushi $22-34 a roll, also grilled Wagyu 24oz is $185 but all worth the quality of food you get! Friendly reception/manager, explained the type of rolls we ordered and opened the door as you leave the place and with a smile and thank you for coming or have a nice evening as added bonus to the experience. Experience or Omakase is $150 a person but be sure to reserve to ensure you can get the best sushi experience!

Yelp
Was a bit disappointed with this place. I had looked forward to coming here based on the pictures and reviews, but I'm not sure that this would be my go to compared to others. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious, but pretty over priced and very limited with their menu. I did however love the Negi Toro roll and would defiantly order that again. But paying 8+ for one piece of fish is a little much, especially when it's not the best part of the fish. For instance, being a salmon lover, I ordered the king salmon, but had asked if they had Salmon belly, and I was told no... the salmon I got was good, but nothing special, and not worth 8 dollars in my opinion. We had also ordered the Hotate roll, and I was not a fan. The leaf over the roll took away from the flavor of the scallop, and really they didn't add much scallop inside. Was pretty bland. Drinks here however, are good ! Service here is ok. The hostess was very nice and tried to seat us as fast as he could at the bar. The bartender however, was not too friendly. He seemed bothered anytime we tried speaking with him. This probably ruined most of our experience and gave us a bad taste. Would I come back here again just to try their Omakase, yes, probably. But to come here when I'm having my sushi craving, probably not.

Yelp
All around average Asian restaurant. Nothing great, yet nothing bad either. Very pricey considering the amount of food you have to order. I ordered 5 dishes just for myself and finally felt full almost $200 later. When comparing Noble Rice to other Asian restaurants in Tampa Bay it's good, but when you compare it to LA, or food in Asia it's very subpar. I lived in Koreatown, Little Tokyo, and Little Osaka too long in LA. Up first was the $20 Shishito peppers. They come on a stick with ham ontop of them. I've never seen that before. They were good, not great. The $17 Kyushiki (Old Fashioned) was good. However, they fill the glass up, not even halfway. Suspect. $20 King Salmon was really good, and I really don't enjoy sushi. $20 Crispy pork belly - good, not great $18 Karaage - I liked it, kind of plain though $22 Tan Tan Men (Ramen) - Listed on the menu as very spicy. Unfortunately, the spicy is a 0/10. However, I did enjoy eating it. $12 Soy Milk Panna Cotta - weird tasting. You have to like soy milk to order this. Doubt I'll be back

Yelp
Another exquisite experience at Noble Rice. Ambiance - 9/10 The music, the vibes, the aesthetic... Service - 9/10 We had Byron as our server (love him) he's so knowledgeable about the food, gives great recommendations and is very attentive to his guests. Food- 9/10 We ordered the shrimp toast (my favorite appetizer in Tampa) Nigiri - YUM- so flavorful Risotto special with black truffle - incredible - a little on the mushy side but that's risotto in general (I'd get it again) Triple black ramen - SO flavorful. Overall, simply a great experience.

Yelp
We went for their Omakase, Wednesday evening. Btw this is our first Omakase experience so we have nothing else to compare to. They basically have a section next to the bar reserved for Omakase. We were the only ones that day, everyone else was ordering off regular menu. Our server came right away and was very friendly but maybe a bit too much... we kept getting interrupted every 2 min on how we're doing etc... I'd say the experience was not personable at all... basically someone brings you a dish, tells you what it is super quickly, then walks away lol We didn't even know who the actual chef was, there were a lot of sushi chefs, servers... You can't see the chef actually cutting the sushi or anything. Kind of chaotic. The food itself was pretty good, except the Uni (which we ordered extra)... I've never tasted it before so I was excited to try but after looking online on how it was actually supposed to taste I think it may have been spoiled because it tasted like soap/bitter (kinda hard to explain). Also, idk why but they put spearmint on every dish which was wayyyy too overpowering. The dishes came out pretty quickly back to back. We had to order extra food because that def wasn't enough food. What we ordered extra: -crispy pork belly -kamo crostini (yum) -negi toro roll -tempura poke roll -matcha ipa (def recommend trying! Matcha and ipa flavors blended surprisingly well together) Overall, it was alright, but we probably won't go back... the entire dinner with the extra food was about $500.

Yelp
This was an excellent restaurant! This is another restaurant that deserves the five stars and one of the reasons I have to give some great restaurants 4 stars. We tried a total of 6 dishes and all were excellent. As far as the sushi, the Negi Toro was delicious and the tempura poke roll was also very good. The tempura batter of the tempura was very crispy and fluffy while the shrimp was still tender. The bone marrow was a healthy portion for 2 people and worth getting. The milk bread with burrata was a favorite for both my wife and I. The Kamo crostini was thinly sliced duck on a crostini which was also very good. My wife who hates duck said it was good and didn't "taste like duck". The last dish was the truffle kinoko with the waygu. I would describe this as a mushroom risotto. If I had to make any criticism of the things we ate, I didn't think the sliced truffle added much to the dish. Otherwise, it was one of the best risotto dishes I've ever had, and the addition of the waygu was worth the extra cost. Our server, Byron, was attentive and made great recommendations. You could tell he enjoyed the food there as much as we did. The other servers seemed friendly as well. The ambience was also good. It didn't seem too loud or that you had to raise your voice to have a conversation. It was on the expensive side, but worth it for a special occasion. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant as one everyone should try.

Yelp
Noble Rice is one of my new favorite places for a quiet dinner. The bar seating is comfortable but there's also more private booths if you're with friends. Service was great in that we were constantly getting checked on and never had to flag someone down. The coconut mushroom risotto with salmon was incredible and I have been dreaming about it ever since.

Yelp
Christian was amazing. Great food. Great service. Great drinks. You have to try this place.

Yelp
Not the best ambience, esp if dining for less than 2 and in the cramped floor table area. Overpriced for what it is, ultimately, but Tampa lacks quality sushi spots like this so you pay the premium... their tuna belly cuts were always inconsistent... ordered ebi & a cooked version came out, which was perplexing. We really only came here for the uni at the end of the day. recently tried Kosen & will be going there from now on. Quality fish, has uni & ambiance is out of this world. Fantastic service as well, unlike Noble Rice. Servers at NR barely know the menu... sometime we'd ask for menu items by their printed Japanese names & they'd be confused, e.g. ask for ebi and the server asked... the shrimp? lol NR served a purposed while it lasted, but wouldn't go back now that there are competitive alternates

Yelp
Let me begin by giving you the scenario. I'm in Tampa visiting from Orlando for a work event. My younger brother who lives in Tampa picks me up for dinner. What my mind , body and soul did not expect was the most amazing culinary experience ever that transcended time and space. Believe our server was Byron and he was our pilot and food whisperer. The crispy pork belly made me feel like I could see sound and the sushi gave me the power of flight. Never ever have I had sushi so tender and soft that melted like butter across my taste buds. We had some sort of chocolate dessert with foie gra that made me question reality. Highly recommend this place not only due to the menu but the amazing service.

Yelp
Found THE BEST SUSHI in Tampa - hands down! Also, they get their fish shipped from Japan. No wonder the fish was SO fresh! However, it can also be a bit pricey but so worth it. Service was great and as mentioned, the food was amazing. Definfeity will be coming back! They also offer omakase which is an 8-course chef's tasting menu, featuring nigiri, sashimi, and small plates. Served exclusively at the sushi bar for $150. What I ordered: - CRISPY PORK BELLY: fermented vegetables, chili soy vinaigrette, peanuts - KARAAGE spicy fried chicken, citrus miso kewpie - SHISHITO PEPPERS tamarind, brown sugar, pickled fresno, country ham - MILK BREAD & BURRATA confit tomato, black garlic molasses, yuzu marmalade - TORO NIGIRI: fatty bluefin tuna - OTORO NIGIRI: fattiest bluefin tuna - CHU TORO NIGIRI: medium fatty bluefin tuna - TEMPURA POKE SUSHI: shrimp tempura, lean bluefin tuna, avocado, chili oil, honey, togarashi, white shoyu - NEGI TORO SUSHI: fatty tuna, scallion, tobanjan kewpie, black garlic shoyu

Yelp
Great service and even better food! The restaurant is very intimate, highly recommend making a reservation if going on the weekend. Everything we got was amazing - the food is such great quality, incredibly fresh fish and each dish is so well thought out and balanced. The Dungeness crab with tuna carpaccio was my favorite dish, closely followed by the toro roll. Definitely a splurge, but more than reasonable considering the quality and portion size. Highly recommend if you are looking for great sushi in the downtown area. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Prepare for a spiritual experience with flavors abound. Our server was knowledgeable and refined. The dimly lit space offered a relaxing environment for fine dining. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great experience at Noble Rice, the recently opened restaurant in the Sparkman wharf area. It's beautifully decorated. We made a reservation for a Thursday night and were seated immediately but the restaurant was full, so it was good we had a reservation. They have sushi items from their sushi bar as well as a kitchen that produces hot items, Zensai which are the shareable plates. They also offer caviar service and Omakase: 8 course chef's tasting menu, featuring nigiri, sashimi and small plates, served exclusively at the sushi bar, but we didn't do either of these at this visit. We opted for several sushi rolls and a couple small plate items. We had the Crispy Pork Belly: fermented vegetables, chili soy vinaigrette, peanuts, Kano Crostini : duck breast, pistachio butter, onion jam, shiso and the special beef tartare with sweet kimchi, pear, maple labneh, candied curried walnut, fennel with crispy wonton. The pork belly and duck toast were my favorite, so much flavor in all these dishes. For the rolls we had Negi toro: fatty tuna, scallion, tobanjan kewpie, black garlic shoyu, and Kani : dungeness crab, avocado, cucumber, white shoyu. All were with wonderful flavor, the tuna roll was a little spicy for me but still very delicious. Genesis our server was great and knew the menu backwards and forwards, very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Parking is available in one of the Sparkman wharf lots or channelside parking garage. If there's an event in the area, then parking can get busy so plan accordingly . On their website they mention they have partnered with the garage located on 12th & Channelside Dr. to offer $5 flat-rate parking and to have reservation confirmation ready. Open Tuesday - Thursday: 5pm - 10pm, Friday - Saturday: 5pm - 11pm, Closed Sunday & Monday.

Yelp
Service: To start, big thank you to Byron our amazing server. So extremely knowledgeable & passionate about everything on the menu which was splendid. Great recommendations & attitude. Ambiance: The vibe in there is spectacular, super dim & moody, great intimate feel to the whole place. Private booths w/ gorgeous wood accents. There's not a ton of space between you & other guests but it doesn't feel cramped whatsoever Food: Everything on the menu from start to finish was incredibly intentional & delicious. This was my first time dining at Noble Rice but I've been looking forward to trying it out ever since I touched down here in the Tampa area, and they did not disappoint whatsoever. The shrimp toast was the best bite of the night for me personally because I've never had shrimp toast fried in wagyu tallow & it absolutely blew me away. The karaage was unfortunately a bit too spicy for my liking but it was very juicy & had a fantastic crunch to it. The salmon sashimi was more on the sweeter side which was good but not my favorite, however the salmon quality was spot on. My Toki Whiskey Sour was delish, I'm a big fan of all House of Suntory spirits, so this very well executed. Overall, Noble Rice is a MUST try, delicious, well-thought out, and stunning.

Yelp
I love this spot! It's my favorite sushi in town. The duck toast, steak tartare, and spicy poke roll are the best. The mango Jack roll is really good too. I've really enjoyed my dessert from there and have always received great service! I park at Sparkman Wharf, which is usually $2.50 an hour, unless there is an event going on. If there's an event, I recommend parking in a garage nearby.

Yelp
Amazing We did the Omakase experience I must say I was nervous at first to not know what we would end up with. But boy oh boy was it amazing. The quality of food and the wonderful conversations had with the chefs was just a beautiful experience. I highly recommend it. We got unfiltered sake just my personal fav. And the food was delicious. Here are a few pics I captured as I wanted to be in the moment.

Yelp
Visited Tampa and stumbled onto the waitlist for a table of 2. Reserve early, otherwise you will wait. This restaurant gets filled quickly and constantly. They offer booth, table and bar seating, but the sushi bar is reserved for omakase tastings with the chefs. Ambiance is a modern take on japanese and great for date nights! On busy nights, they run out of items on the menu, which was disappointing being from out of town. But I do appreciate the quality of fish you can get, even from the rolls. The ramen was filling and perfect for a cold night. The level of detail is seen from the decor, the service and in the food. Would like to come back and try other menu items
google avatar

Yelp
Had reservations but chose to sit at the bar instead since there was room. Blue fin tuna flight sashimi was tasty, fresh and beautifully plated. Triple black ramen noodles were a little bit too spicy and garlicky even for me. Probably overall did not live up to the hype on my first visit, but would go back and try the negi toro maki and some other dishes.

Yelp
Noble Rice is an intimate, trendy Japanese restaurant, that is created by the same person who opened Koya! It is located right on Channelside Drive, facing away from the populated Sparkman Wharf. Noble Rice partnered with the garage, located on 12th and Channelside Drive, for parking at a flat of $5. I highly recommend making reservations online via Tock. In addition, omakase (an 8-course "chef tasting" experience, $150 per person) is only at the sushi bar. The tasting may include beef, pork, and other proteins, and they do not accommodate diets. Upon entrance, the hostess is to the immediate right. There is always a tiny waiting area to the way right. There is the main bar, sushi bar, and kitchen directly behind the hostess. The restaurant is quite loud, and there are probably 16 tables or so. The bars probably seat about another 12 people. FOOD: 1. Tekka Roll (Bluefin tuna, ginger, avocado, white shoyu, 3/5): It was fresh and on the healthier side of sushi rolls. We weren't that impressed, but it was a good appetizer to start with. I felt like something was lacking in flavor. 2. Cured Wagyu Crispy Rice (Capers, cornichons, shallot, and herb salad, 3/5): This was an interesting twist with the crispy rice. I hope they put more cured wagyu onto it though, as it's like 8 tiny pieces of the wagyu spread out in this. I'll probably pick the other salmon crispy rice instead. The crispy rice was perfectly done though! 3. Kamo Crostini (Duck breast, pistachio butter, onion jam, and shiso, 4/5): This was delicious. I knew I had to order this when I read "onion jam" incorporated in this dish. However, it was a little too much onion jam in this, which created the sweetness in the dish. Nonetheless, there are 4 crostini pieces with great flavor. I recommend it be shared between 2 people only. 4. Uni Nigiri (4/5): My friend never tried Uni (urchin), so we had to order this winter season! It was tasty, and my friend thought it was a 4/5 too. Highly recommend uni during months that end with an "R". 5. Toro Nigiri (4/5): Good. You can't go wrong with any of the toro. I preferred this over Otoro. 6. Otoro Nigiri (4/5): Good. You can't go wrong with any of the toro. It was not in the top 3 Otoro I've had. Service was OK. Our drinks never touched the bottom. They do an interesting "spice" twist to the classic lychee martini. However, there were 2 main concerns. First, the order for the table next to us was brought to us. The server at the time said to enjoy, and we did not know what dish arrived at our table. After 2-3 minutes, she comes and takes the dish to set it back at the sushi bar. They decided to serve this after 5 minutes at the table next to us. The second concern is that we ordered a dish at the beginning that never came. We ordered other dishes afterward instead of waiting on the initial dish (which was canceled). Would I come back? Yes.... or maybe try Koya!
google avatar

Elisa S.

Yelp
Service was great our waiter was so helpful with suggestions! Lychee martini was great not too sweet, karage definitely has a little kick of spice but would definitely recommend. My favorite dish was the blue crab salad it was light and delicious. Our waiter suggested pairing the salmon and the risotto and I'm so glad we did! As for the rolls they were good but nothing special in my opinion. The interior was beautiful and was low lit.

Yelp
Located on a great part of Tampa, right on Sparkman Wharf. I was greeted by a few smiles and warm welcome as soon as I open the door to the restaurant. The restaurant is a bit small but beautiful decor. Food was absolutely the best quality and taste. Drinks are well pair to the food you order. The service is excellent and my waiter was absolutely great. Food: Maguro Tart - Ok presentation, taste was absolutely intense and delicious. The mascarpone explodes in your mouth with a hint of lemon. Sashimi & Nigiri Plate - Normal presentation nothing special. The fish was absolutely fresh and taste exquisite but they add some decoration food that takes away the taste of the raw fish. Avoid eating together!! Ora King Salmon Sashimi - Ok presentation, absolutely great taste and variety of flavors with fresh fish. Focaccia Cicchetto with Wagyu Upgrade - Great presentation, this was an unexpected dish. I am so glad I upgraded to the Wagyu because it was the best dish of the night. The dish explodes with flavors and takes you to a happy land for a minute. A MUST!!! Duck Breast - Beautiful presentation, the duck was so juicy and tasty that you can't wait to grab another bite. Hokkaido Scallop - Good presentation, the scallop was amazing with a lemon explosion while you start to bite it. The grits were a bit watery but overall good. Matcha Kit Kat Mouse Cake - Amazing presentation, this has been my favorite dessert in town. It was so delicious I just couldn't stop eating it. They should bring that to the menu since it was a special dish for the night. If you see it on the menu get it quick and enjoy !! Serivce: Amazing Serivce with lots of smiles and good recommendations. My server was excellent and really happy to be there making the experience extra special. Ambience: Quite small place with lots of noise but really cool decor. The location is great since you have many walkable bars and stores next to it. Parking is pretty easy since there is plenty of options around. Best Sushi restaurant in Tampa so far. Keep it up and can't wait to be back to enjoy more dishes. .

Yelp
I would first like to apologize for the fact that I was on a first date and didn't take any pictures of the food i've walked past Noble rice for a while, and have been a little bit hesitant to come in. I knew the quality was amazing, but sometimes restaurants elevate themselves more than they should. From the time I walked in, I was immediately greeted at the door and then greeted a second time by what I assumed to be the FOH manager. All the staff was very kind and friendly and accommodatable. I feel incredibly lucky, because on a Tuesday after a hurricane, supposedly ran through the restaurant was pretty empty, which I know never happens. It definitely gave me the opportunity to fully enjoy the restaurant, which has a very sleek sophisticated set up. I had the pleasure of being served by Genesis. she's incredibly well-versed in the menu and gave amazing recommendations. Our water cups were never empty. She was always quick to refill them and every time we were finished with a plate she would come to make sure nothing was in our way. I would definitely recommend requesting Genesis if you plan on making a reservation. We started off the night with a steak tartare, which was so delicious the sauce coated the meat so well and complemented its flavors deliciously. The chips added a perfect crunch. I think I can confidently say this is one of the best Asian inspired steak tartars I've had. For rolls we got the Hanabi which was recommended by Genesis. It was the first time I had a roll with a tempura Shiahito pepper inside and let me just say I was not disappointed. Our second role was the negi toro which was beautifully handcrafted all the flavors were balanced so perfectly and I really enjoy how each dish you get comes with a sauce specifically handcrafted for that dish. For nigiri I got Uni and king salmon. All of the fish here is so fresh, no fishy taste. Every bite left my taste buds tantalized. The last thing that we tried was the pork belly, which, in a crazy twist of events, may have been my favorite dish on the menu that I tried last night. The pork belly was perfectly crispy on the outside, yet moist and juicy on the inside the flavors from the sauce, soaked into the pork belly, and the topping of the pork belly was crisp, light and flavorful. Every bite was an experience. Any reservations I've had about going to Noble Rice have definitely been squashed. When looking for a good sushi spot in Channelside, this will definitely be at the top of my list of recommendations. Next time I, I'll definitely take pictures

Yelp
I'm always wary of fancy sushi spots, especially Americanized ones, but my girlfriend insisted we try this place, and not for nothing, this place was legit. The ambiance was energetic and fun. You really feel like you're surrounded by culinary savants and a service team that cares. The quality of ingredients and refined techniques were unmistakeable. However, some of the flavor combinations didn't work for me. Best of all, it didn't hit the pockets too hard and we were actually full after. - Tozai well of wisdom sake - 5/5 clean, smooth, delish - Beef tartare - 6/5 crispy wonton, shiso leaf (well balanced flavor between mint and basil) were perfect vessel for the tartare - Negi toro - 3/5 dollop of sauce was overpowering, something was overly salty - Tempura poke - 4/5 good but left my tastebuds longing - Crispy pork belly - 3/5 left me wanting a textural component, crispy fat cap

Yelp
Absolute experience for Valentine's Day!!! Do yourself a favor and book a reservation for the Omakase. Just enjoyed the most delicious dinner this Valentine's Day. The Omakase at Noble Rice is the best meal I have had in my life to date. The sweetest and freshest uni, the most perfectly prepared A5 Wagyu, and the Tuna Otoro was divine. Full tasting notes included with the pics. Pricey but it was an absolute 11/10 experience. I am shook that this gem is so close to home. They deserve the Michelin mention and I can't wait to see more from the chef: did I mention they are Chopped winners as well ;)

Yelp
I have eaten here three times and it is truly one of the best restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area. Service is always friendly and welcoming. The food is constantly delicious. The Miso Salomon melts in your mouth. The fried shishito peppers are incredible. All of the buns are unique and flavorful. Even the desserts are great which is usually something I do not say with respect to Asian restaurants. Unfortunately, it is pricey, both food and drinks, so it is not for those on a budget. But it is good.

Yelp
One of my favorite new places here in Tampa! My husband and I had a date night and we wanted to give this place a try! I noticed they did not have any reservations available for the night we wanted to go, which was understandable because we were scheduling same day. I sent an email to the email provided on their website and asked if there were any last minute openings available and i got an email almost immediately back and they were able to squeeze us in at the sushi bar. When we walked in, the place is small, but so intimate. I personally love a smaller place with intimate vibes rather than a busy loud place for a date night. As soon as we sat down, the sushi chefs behind the bar greeted us and said hello and our server came over right away! She was very informative about the food and drinks on the menu. Since this was our first time here, we had questions about some of the food items :) I ended up ordering some sushi and my husband ordered some sashimi. Both were excellent and came with some amazing sauces. The flavors in these sushi rolls here are absolutely amazing! For our entrees, my husband ordered the Karaage and I ordered the Tan Tan Men. I love ramen and even love it more when its spicy so i was completely satisfied with mine and would order 100 more times! My husband enjoyed his as well and was very impressed with the flavor. Overall, we would def come back here 100 times more! This place is amazing and I highly recommend!

Yelp
Finally visited their reopening in channelside location and it was a lovely place. Great ambience and food! We started out with the kale salad and the duck crostini. The kale salad was so good and unexpected. The maple gojuchang vinaigrette really added a great twist. We then proceeded to have nigiri and a few sushi rolls. Such great cuts of fish. Super high quality and you can instantly tell the minute you put it in your mouth. Lastly we had ramen. I had the ten ten and it was super good but I would recommend the triple black. I enjoyed that one more and will definitely be eating that one next time!

Yelp
Great service. Service is very very fast except for dessert. Great place. Loved all their rolls and hand rolls. I didn't care for the desserts.

Yelp
Constantly searching for high quality Japanese cuisine, we finally decided to visit Noble Rice. As we waltzed down Channelside, the entrance to Noble Rice snuck up on us. We always appreciate restaurants that lack "over-the-top" signage. As we entered, we were greeted by the absolute star of the show, Christian. He was a phenomenal host, perfect for a restaurant of this tier. We were fortunate enough to receive booth seating, which was much more intimate than the smaller tables in the center of the restaurant. Our waiter did not leave a great impression on us, so we forgot his name. He definitely did not fit in with the rest of the staff, whom we could tell were trained to a higher standard. As he guided us through the menu, he always pointed out the most "bang for your buck" dishes, which immediately diminished the class of this establishment. For their drink options, we were deeply let down that they did not have plum wine, or sparkling sake, so we started off with the hojicha. Their green tea was lovely, and clearly authentic. Deep, earthy, and without fault. The first dish we received was the Akami Nigiri, and it was our least favorite dish. The akami was extremely fresh. However, the bed of crispy sweet potato was awful. It was not crispy, it just got stuck in our teeth. The ponzu sauce was decent, and the Serrano pepper was a nice touch that complimented this lean cut of tuna very nicely. We then received the Beef Tartare. This dish was amongst our favorites, and we would unquestionably order it again. A divine balance of sweet and savory. Creamy beef and sweet kimchi paired with lovely notes of maple, cut with the beautiful crispiness of a fresh wonton. After finally making a decision on a couple of cocktails from the bar, we ordered the Sakura martini. Dangerously balanced, with a final perfect sip when you chew up the maraschino Cherry and orchid leaf and swish it around with the stronger remnants of the beverage. Our biggest recommendation for Noble Rice would be to pair the drink with two cherries, instead of one. It would have made this martini that much more heavenly. The dish that followed was our A5 Wagyu Tasting. Served in a very traditional nigiri style, this Japanese BMS 12 Wagyu was clearly of high grade. Make sure to order freshly ground wasabi to truly enjoy the wagyu. We ordered the wasabi and sadly watched it die in the window for over fifteen minutes. The wagyu was very high quality, and of course, the iconic "melt in your mouth" nature of true wagyu. Alongside this plate, we also received our two maguro nigiri flights, as well as our shima aji and kanpachi nigiri. We would recommend the tuna flight to anyone experiencing Noble Rice for the first time. It solidly exemplifies the difference that fat content makes in the flavor and texture of a fish. From left to right, leanest to fattiest, you receive akami, toro, chutoro, and otoro. The chutoro was by far the best bite. With the chutoro cut, you still get the flavors of the fish, paired with beautiful fattiness. The kanpachi and shima aji nigiri were high quality and fresh. As simple as that. Make sure you order extra ginger to cleanse your palate. Their ginger is addictive. After our nigiri plates, we received the Kano Crostini. This was another one of our "must-haves." Noble Rice yet again hit that stunning harmony of savory and sweet. The duck and onion jam were a pristine pair. Along came the Hokkaido Uni and Avocado Yakitori. This adorable plate of flavor was a very intriguing dish. Fatty ingredients do not typically coincide well with fellow fatty ingredients, but did so, all due to the grilling factor. The light char tied this dish together. The Crispy Pork Belly, which was the next dish we received, was a plate that we for sure could have done without. The flavors were not exciting at all. The peanuts were not a great choice, because they brought out the "farm-y notes" of the pork belly. After we very much enjoyed the uni and avocado pairing, we just had to try the uni on its own. It was good quality, and unquestionably came from the cold waters of Hokkaido. However, you could taste that the uni was box transported, and not freshly cracked. The stronger flavor of boxed uni can be off-putting for some people. We finalized our meal with possibly the best dessert we have had in a long time, and paired it with a tawny port, the Soy Milk Panna Cotta. We would go to Noble Rice solely for this dessert alone. Perfectly executed. Without flaw. The gracefulness and light-nature of the panna cotta fused with the rugged burnt honey, and the nutty black sesame in such an astonishing manner. With only a few faults, we will visit Noble Rice again. Normally we would overlook these faults and give five stars for this experience, but with spending over $500 (not including tip) for two people, we would expect everything to be perfect, thus why we must retract a star. Now we know what to order for our next visit.

Yelp
Walked over to this place after spending some time at the sparkman wharf. Got seated at the bar immediately even without reservations. The flavor in everything we ordered was outstanding. The espresso martini was the best I've ever had. The pork belly was perfectly cooked- the fat is perfectly caramelized and melts in your mouth. The raw fish is straight from Japan and very fresh. This place is pretty pricey but you can expect that you're paying for high quality

Yelp
The interior and service were both great! I won't go into greater detail as neither were particularly unique in any way. If anything the middle of the area was a little crowded, not too much privacy. The food was delicious, especially the sushi, but it stays at 4 stars cause the presentation and creation of the sushi itself was not as good as other places (see photos of the nigiri)

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love this place and their foods! Not only their foods but also some of the amazing stuff there! ( Christian we love him so much!) Looking forward to go back again start with my Spicy Lychee Martini! :P

Yelp
There is nothing to complain about regarding the quality of the food: everything I tried was delicious and incredibly fresh. One of the best sushi restaurants in Tampa. The ambiance is good for a night out or a date; you can't go wrong for any occasion it may be. It is a bit pricey, which is expected. But sometimes it leaves me wanting more quantity for the price I pay.

Yelp
We have dined at Noble Rice a few times and are repat customers. A few times, Christian was our server, and he is so nice and helpful! We love to sit in his section. You should have a reservation to dine in because this place is very popular. There are a lot of parking options, but you can park in the lot for Sparkman Wharf and pay Park mobile on most regular days. So, this place has their à la carte sushi-focused menu as well as omakase. We have done both. I like both. The omakase was a lot of fun, and they were able to make the necessary adjustments to mine to make it gluten-free. The regular dinner service is pretty great also. They have ramen, nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and a bunch of other stuff. I highly recommend the mushroom rice and wagyu. That is my absolute favorite! The Ramen is good, according to my husband, and the lychee martini is my favorite. I did try the sake last time I dined in, and it paired really well with the white fish sashimi I had. Frankly, we have tried most of the menu, and everything I have had has been great. I love this place and highly recommend it for date night. It's very Celiac safe

Yelp
My recommendation? Go with fun and adventurous people and SHARE EVERYTHING! We basically enjoyed a wonderful 11 course dinner with a bottle of sake for a little over $100 per person, we were four in our party. What a delight! My top three were: The Otoro (fatty tuna), such a delicacy. The Crispy Pork Belly, decadent, full of flavor. And the Kinoko Gohan, a coconut milk risotto with a perfectly, melt in your mouth, salmon. Our server, Byron, was great, and overall experience was a culinary satisfaction. Taste buds are happy and tummy is full!

Yelp
I was truly impressed with everything I ordered. I choose this place to celebrate my birthday weekend! Getting a reservation was sort of unfortunate, I would've liked for much more of my family to join for only had a space for 4 people and this was a week in advance. So for larger groups, definitely book reservations early. They provide vouchers for garage parking, be conscience during hockey season and when events are held at sparkman. They need valet on rainy days, I'm just saying -- so inconvenient walking in the rain with no designated parking lot. Staff are all kinda. Our waiter, Byron, was so knowledgeable and explained some popular menu items. I did my research before hand-- a lot of menu items are not immediately recognizable. I love that this is a cheaper option than Koya, which is amazing, but I love that you have omakase here (cheaper than Koya) as well as a la carte. Omakase you pay ahead of time at reservation. Other reservations are normal and free as of 6/2022. I highly suggest the Salmon w the Ramp Salsa. I was told it was made to order so I know next time they I NEED extra salsa because it was amazing. I tried the Hibiscus 75 which was was also delicious. The french 75 or lavender french 75 is my go to and this spin on it was very refreshing. Karaage was sooo flavorful. My mom loved the Spicy Ramen, she loves super spicy things and she said it was just right. Matcha Panna Cotta was delicious but I don't think I'd order it again. The black sesame took some adjusting to. Will definitely be back. Suggest going with a group or partner who just want to share and try different things.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Tampa! For the full experience, do their omakase, where you will get some of the best nigiri, small plates, and desserts featuring seasonal, high-quality seafood, meat, and produce. But their regular menu is spectacular too; the cheesy, decadent scallop motoyaki is a personal favorite, with ethereally thin and crispy house-made shrimp chips. The desserts are decadently delicious, from the foie gras chocolate bar to the butterscotch purin. The staff is spectacular, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu! The sushi bar is the best place to sit to watch the experts in action. And if you're lucky enough to get to see Chef Jada Vidal, she is just a delight, so welcoming and friendly! A perfect combination of up-scale Japanese food in an atmosphere where you feel at home. 5 stars all around!

Yelp
Maki rolls! -This portion of the menu has been perfected. I am one of those who appreciates a bite of just quality sushi rice, fresh fish and a nice hint of wasabi. I was hesitant in trying out their shoyu and wondered why they brought so many of them to the table. I was floored when I went against my "no good sushi needs shoyu" rule. Mind blown! They truly elevated their rolls. Other items we have ordered: -tan tan men (husband's favorite) -nigiri -crispy pork belly (was not crispy and too much fat) - kale salad -cocktails (aviation is our favorite!) dessert is on my list next time if I have room leftover from all the maki rolls. Great for date nights and service has always been great. Show reservation to parking attendant on event nights and you do not have to pay event price!

Yelp
Food was amazing! From the Kani which used real crab (not Krab) to the Wagyu everything was delicious. Our waiter Byron was extremely knowledgeable about the different menu items and solidified the experience. The kinoko gohan was excellent and could be eaten alone by itself. The ascetic of the Noble Rice was good everything you'd want in a Asian themed restaurant. My only complaint is the temperature seemed to be on the warmer side but all in all would highly recommend.

Yelp
Hands down the best sushi you can find in Tampa. The fish is melt in your mouth fresh and tasty and the dishes are incredibly innovative. We did the 8 course Omakase with drink pairing. The portions were perfect with a healthy mix of raw and cooked dishes. The staff was incredible and the chef was incredibly friendly. We will certainly be back every chance we get.

Yelp
So happy they are back! Noble Rice is a special place. Think Japanese small plates but not just sushi. We just had to visit during reopening week. We enjoyed several different options starting with a lychee martini and the Japanese Old fashion. Both were excellent. The martini was not too sweet and the old fashion was well balanced. We started with a sampling of several toro offerings: negi toro maki roll, 2 pieces each of the tor and chu toro sashimi. Everything exceptional. It's very hard to find toro around here so enjoy it! The negi toro maki roll is the best spicy tuna roll you will have- spicy but you can taste all the flavors. It's not a creamy spice like most restaurants. Next we had the crab gallette and the Kinoko gohan (seasonal mushroom rice, celery root and pesto)- again everything excellent. My 3 year old confiscated the crab and made that her personal meal! This plate was next level- all crab, incredibly fresh. The rice was a crowd pleaser as well. We finished with the kokonattsu- coconut gelato, pineapple, rum sauce which for my was the most lack luster dish as I did not find pineapple or rum flavor. This is also small and only shareable if you want a spoonful each. Love the new space- very beautiful and authentic to their vibe and around the corner to Sparkmans. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Bryon was very knowledgeable on the menu and recommended some lovely dishes. Loved the decor off the restaurant. We sat in a booth and it was very easy to have a conversation. Will certainly be back!
