10 Charlotte Comfort Food Restaurants - Eater Carolinas

"New England’s got chowder for comfort. North Carolina’s got barbecue. By little surprise does a platter of slow smoked meats make an appearance on the hunt for guaranteed regional satisfaction. Noble Smoke, whose West Charlotte flagship is halo-ed by thick clouds from its handcrafted smokers, has quickly become a barbecue haven for Charlotteans and beyond. While the Cheshire chopped pork is an absolute must-try, the menu boasts a variety of meats like hearty beef brisket, pull-apart pork ribs and top-grade smoked chicken. The sides shine just as bright as the proteins, and with over fifteen to choose from, there’s simply no holding back. No feast is complete without a touch of sweetness from a hot and glazed hand fry pie.. and perhaps an extra one, to go." - Sara Akhavan

Loved this place!! Atmosphere was chill! Fun band, great food. Only thing that ruined the experience was the flies! They had really cool fly fans to help avoid them!

Google
Zach, the bartender, did an amazing job! He took very good care of me during my visit. When I asked for the banana pudding as my dessert he suggested I try the bread pudding that they had on special for the day made fresh! I was hesitant because I’d never tried bread pudding before but after I told him that, he went and grabbed his manager, Scott, who then came over and offered me the bread pudding to try and even took care of it for me! And yes it was amazing! Truly such a great experience! I will be coming in again just for the great service and of course the amazing food! :)

Google
Delicious food and wonderful service. The corn in the picture is pan fried corn. They only have three sauce but the meats don't need sauce. The sauces to me are really to make the meat spicy. I had the BBQ Chicken and my husband had the BBQ Beef Brisket. Mac & cheese and fries are the other sides we had. There are lots of sides and meats to choose from. You can taste the smoke in the foods. Lots of parking. You can eat inside or outside. If you use GPS to find this place it is very adequate. There is a bar.

Google
Brisket was excellent. Best I think I’ve had outside of Texas. Potato salad and collards were also great. Atmosphere is really nice but looks a little like other larger size warehouse space with giant garage door and concrete floors. Still a cool place to hang out. Would definitely go back.

Google
Chopped brisket sandwich was best I’ve ever had. Staff said smoked turkey was second-best meat on menu. Tried it, liked it. But that brisket was sensational—so good that I liked it better without sauce than with it. I thought the sauces were good not great but that brisket was so phenomenal, no complaints.

Google
The restaurant has a wonderful environment. Everything on menu is a la carte, so it can get pretty expensive. We ordered the brisket which was our favorate. The pulled chicken was a little dry and the sausage was good. Our sides were Mac and cheese, slaw and green beans. All of them were wonderful. Add 2 teas and it cost over $100 for lunch fur 2 people. We’ll be back to try other things out on the menu!

Awesome BBQ location not far from the downtown in a new area. Large set-up with an expanse, welcoming and inviting ambience. Amazing food with great taste. Super friendly and attentive staff.

North Carolina Stunning!! I have enjoyed my every moment in Noble Barbecue with my wife. Brisket was perfectly cooked and their sides and sauces was delicious🥰🥰 I highly recommend and definitely visit again.

Yelp
This is a legit bbq restaurant in North Carolina. The food, service and ambiance were all 5 star, very hard to find any issues or complaints here. We came here for a private family lunch for a few dozen of my relatives and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Food: My cousin ordered all of the items because she's the local and knows what's best for the family. I really enjoyed the pan fried corn, brisket and pulled chicken. I've usually been disappointed with pulled chicken being dry at other BBQ restaurants, but the chicken today was delicious, slightly sweet, savory, and moist. The brisket tasted delicious, it didn't need any sauce. The corn was my favorite side item. Service: Because this was a catered private family lunch, we received outstanding service and hospitality. We had so many family members show up, they opened the second private room for us. The staff at this location made us all fell at home and taken care of. Ambiance: This is a very large restaurant with many options for seating. It was clean, well lit, high ceilings, and themed appropriately for BBQ. I loved how you can see the room of smokers and see-through window of staff prepping meats as you walk from the parking lot to the front of the restaurant. Overall, I loved my lunch experience here and can't wait to return during a future visit to my cousins in Charlotte.

Yelp
The meat is great. Pulled pork is quality. They also have burnt ends which are fantastic but not listed on the menu. Sides and appetizers very tasty. Specifically mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. Not a lot of bang for your buck from a portion size perspective. I also don't love any of the sauces. I'm a sweet sauce guy.

Yelp
Honestly extremely disappointed, I read so many good reviews I felt like this was a must try. I ordered a small portion of the brisket, pulled pork, and the sausage and a side of Mac and cheese and collard greens. Literally 2 minutes after I ordered my arrived. The brisket was okay, the Mac and cheese was average and the collards were the best thing I tried. The pulled pork and sausage were cold, like they had been cooked hours prior and not left under a heat lamps. The server was nice but never asked how the food was or why I didn't eat the sausage or pork after I asked for my check. The sauces were not very flavorful and completed my disappointing experience. The atmosphere was the only thing preventing the 1 star. I will add coming from Charleston I have high expectations of BBQ but was totally let down.

Yelp
Great service, nice place, good food, this visit was fried broccoli starter(awesome!) Had sliced brisket Sammy, nice pieces of brisket, great bun, also had some Mac & cheese, also great!

Yelp
Noble Smoke has a tremendous airy feel to it. For a Tuesday night at 7:30pm the place was hopping. The wait staff and management is exceedingly friendly. The food we got was fantastic! Cooked and prepared with attention. If you are in Charlotte, make sure this is on your list.

Yelp
Very cool, gives off country barn vibes with a touch of Carolina. This spot was recommended by the attendant at Enterprise Airport location. Not many vegan dishes but they had salad and veggies so thats what I settled for. The guys plates however, looked pitiful. Everything is a la carte and the portions are slim so dont come hungry if you dont want to pay at least $45 for a small portion of brisket and pork and one side item. I took a picture of the ribs one friend got cause it was a bigger portion. He paid $54 for it which also included a tea. Im giving 5 stars because our waiter went the extra mile and allowed us to use a set of pliers to cut the locks off of my luggage, since I chose to conveniently lose the keys.

Yelp
BBQ HEAVEN! Came here on a Saturday evening around 8. Walked into a well-lit rustic down-home atmosphere with tons of seating. Opted for the bar so we could also watch the football games. We're greeted by a nice gentlemen bartender who gave us the best recommendations (BRISKET!). All three of us (2 celiac) had the 1/4lb brisket with Smoke Sauce, collards, and butter beans. Boy oh boy was that delicious. TIP: entrances are a tad confusing. Go in the door right off the Main Street. We chose the back which was more lit at night

Yelp
Sausage (5/5): The sausage was amazing. The casing has a nice snap to it and the flavor was excellent. LOTS of smokiness and a nice amount of heat. I usually wouldn't pick sausage over brisket or ribs, but I would here. Pork Ribs (4/5): Good ribs that could've been a little smokier. Unlike most people, I like the membrane (silver skin) on the bone so I enjoyed that on these ribs. Beef Brisket (4/5): Good brisket with a nice peppery crust. Mac+Cheese (3/5): Not my favorite mac. It was pretty grainy and not cheesy enough. Eastern Style Coleslaw (2/5): This might be a perfectly fine coleslaw, I'm just picky about which kinds I like and this wasn't it. I did like how the cabbage was chopped up into much smaller pieces though. *Sauce 19 was my favorite sauce. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Yelp
my first time trying southern bbq did not disappoint. i was surprised by how delicious the vegetables were! the pickled beets were flavorful and citrusy. the pulled pork and brisket were by far my favorites. would not recommend the pulled chicken as it is a bit dry. friendly service all around.

Yelp
Had family in this weekend and they had one request while visiting CLT. All they wanted was BBQ! For days I was scouring Yelp reviews and asking friends. This place was one of the most considered and it did not disappoint! The service was friendly and helpful. The servers were passionate about this establishment and it showed via recommendations and attentive service. The drinks were great. The ribs, brisket, pulled pork, broccoli salad and Brussel sprouts were outstanding. My family loved it! So it's a win and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
These were the SMALLEST PORTIONS I HAVE EVER SEEN AT A BBQ PLACE. By the time I could get a good taste of the sides... they were GOING GOING GONE! The tiny sides are all $6+ & a toddler would be upset with the minuscule amt of food rendered. On top of that... I got it to go and it was all room temp. SMH. It takes a lot to disappoint me when it comes to food and Noble Smoke hit the mark. I hope they were just having a "let's give out kiddie portions day!" And NEER DO IT AGAIN! SMH BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yelp
Always GREAT! We drive an hour each way, and believe me it's well worth it. The food is always on point, the waitstaff are all very friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoy the food because they have Chicken and Turkey and I haven't eaten Red Meat or Pork in 40 years I appreciate that there are sides that are Meat/Pork Free. My one and only issue is there are no desserts with CHOCOLATE!! Anyway, we'll see you again in November.

Yelp
Fingerlickin' good. Literally! We had a sampling of several meats and sides. We started with hushpuppies which were large and crispy. I thought these were okay, and I felt like they would have been better with some sweet honey butter or something. For our meats, we had brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, and smoked wings. The brisket and ribs were phenomenal. Savory and seasoned well. The brisket was tender and the ribs had a nice bite and fell off the bone. The pulled chicken was pretty good. The wings... meh. We felt like these were over seasoned and it took away from the chicken. But the brisket and ribs were enough to make this a top tier bbq spot. We ordered mac n cheese, collard greens, and fries as the sides. All of these were scrumptious, though they had a lot of salt. The mac and cheese was creamy and was topped with parsley I believe. The kids thought it was okay but spent a lot of time trying to pick out the "green stuff." Collards... get 'em! They were delicious. We got the fries for the kids and they were also tasty and well seasoned, so if you're someone who is watching the salt intake, this isn't your restaurant! (I mean... basically smoked meats and southern style sides... need I say more?) Service was excellent! You could tell the kitchen was well run and efficient. All of the wait staff were so attentive. After dinner, we even did a tour of the smoke pits out back which was really cool to see! I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
First and foremost, a young waiter named Jolani (I'm just gonna hope that's how you spell his name), was incredible and off the bat kind and welcoming. He made sure we felt welcome and we're aware of the specials for the night and he stopped by a lot to make sure we didn't need anything else and he even asked for preferences on portion sizes and asked us if there was anything else he could do to make it more enjoyable here! I could NOT be happier with his service because it's not even possible! The food is always good and perfectly cooked and prepared but I really just want to acknowledge this man on how amazing his customer service and hospitality is! I hope he gets a raise!

Yelp
Noble Smoke has become one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in CLT. Saucemans was always my go to for bbq because they had western (red slaw) and was consistently delicious. Noble Smoke now checks all those same boxes. Food is always fast and on point. Favorites are the chopped bbq and pulled chicken, western slaw, mac and cheese, onion rings and brussels. Also love the fried broccoli app (please make it a permanent spot on the menu). The staff is always friendly and fast including the manager who has checked on my table every time I've dined in. Im also really impressed by the diversity of the staff. It adds a welcoming atmosphere to the restaurant. It's great to see such a varied team working together to create an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant was busy and all the patrons looked like they were having a nice time. We will be back.

Yelp
Houstonian here! This place was recommended to us for the great brisket. Great brisket it had but was not sold on the rest. Onion rings and banana pudding were also good. In addition, we got the the mac, pulled chicken, and sausage and unfortunately would not order them again. Our server was very kind and helpful and the interior was super big and spacious and would be a great space for a large party. We will come back for the brisket, onion rings, and banana pudding and to try other items.

Yelp
Delicious bbq and outstanding service. We had the brisket, pork, bratwurst, and wings. All were delicious especially the brisket and wings. We also had the collard greens which were good too. Our waiter was super friendly and the service was fast. Great looking restaurant and bar. I wish I could have had a couple beers because they have a lot on tap. Next time! It's close to the airport so I will definitely be back the next time I fly into Charlotte. Thanks for the great food.

Yelp
The service was great and every dish was so unique and fun and tasty. I had the brisket, the sausage and the macaroni and cheese all excellent choices. For appetizers We had the trout which taste like a fancy tuna salad, fried broccoli and the pimento cheese, and the star of all of these dishes was the bread. The place is a little casual, but you could dress it up. It's in an industrial space that's well decorated.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch as we travel home to Georgia from Ohio and had a wonderful experience! Everyone paints a different picture when they hear BBQ. The immediate images in my minds eye are deliciously smoked and well-seasoned pork spare ribs with mac n' cheese, green beans, baked beans and roasted corn. More recently slow smoked beef brisket has been added to my ideal BBQ plate! Knowing we would pass through Charlotte, NC, I searched extensively for the best BBQ in the city and Noble BBQ was mentioned multiple times. I have only a few tiny requirements for great BBQ: That it be meaty, tender, juicy, smoky and seasoned well enough to not require any BBQ sauce to fully enjoy. Noble Smoke met every expectation! Not gonna lie, their prices took my breath away when we first sat down and viewed the menu. Since everything is à la carte, our bill added up quickly. But the ribs and brisket were satisfying enough to ALMOST not be upset over the cost! LOL THE FOOD - The Beef Brisket rivals some of the best I've ever had. The ribs were fall of the bone tender, meaty and tasty! However if I'm being honest, they needed just a pinch more seasoning to make them absolutely perfect. The Brussels sprouts and fried corn were both okay, I've had better. On the other hand, the collard greens were better than I expected and the mac n' cheese was very good, especially for a restaurant! The sweet tea was mildly sweet, but as I get older I appreciate less sugary teas, so it was just right. THE ATMOSPHERE - The other unspoken requirement for a great BBQ meal is the environment. My greatest joy when eating BBQ is being in a good setting with excellent vibes and camaraderie. Even if I were by myself I would enjoy my food far better if I were surrounded by people who celebrate breaking bread together. It hearkens my heart back to wonderful backyard cookouts and family reunions of old. The space here is remarkable and highly conducive to good fellowship. I don't think it could have been designed any better! SERVICE - Our server has been part of the team almost since the beginning. He was friendly, efficient and honest when giving his opinion of what to order. He told me I should order at least a half pound of the brisket, but I didn't listen and ordered 1/4 a pound. After tasting it I immediately regretted not ordering more. Still, I was satisfied with my portion. OVERALL it was a great meal that gave us the energy we needed to finish the last leg of our long road trip home. Thanks Noble Smoke! We will definitely be back again and please consider opening a location in Metro Atlanta! I think you would do very well.

Yelp
Excellent as always.! Jen was our server and took great care of us. I am a hamburger fan as anyone who knows me and I felt bad about getting one at a smokehouse but their smash-burger did not disappoint. Juicy, beautiful medium on a great bun. Plenty of sauces to choose from. Fries were great! Let's talk about the pickled shrimp in the room We were sat at a table close to the door. I was asking the manager about the picked shrimp... uh, because why wouldn't you. It's just sitting there on the menu waiting for some luv. The GM comped us a half pound to try it and I gotta say... I wanted to hate it, but, it was good. Kind of a Southern Cheviche. The shrimp were tough like they had sat in the acid too long but the flavor was wonderful! I see this presented with a couple picked Okra but for gods sake change the name. No one is ordering "Picked Shrimp" Great job and hats off to Jen. We wanted for nothing and the drinks were awesome! Way to go bartenders

Yelp
This is my first full experience BBQ restaurant in Charlotte. The server was terrific and she recommended the mini-Miss platter for our party of 3. At first, I thought it would want to order more protein but it was just perfect. The brisket was fattier than I like but it had good flavor. I wasn't a fan base of the sausage and neither were my other buddies because it was one of the unfinished proteins left. The ribs were good as well. The Mac cheese was particularly good. We had a toffee banana pudding and key lime pie for dessert and both were excellent albeit the key lime slice was on the small side.

Yelp
A group of 6 came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Plenty of seating available. This was my first time dining in, the only other time I did take-out. One couple mentioned they had been a few times and recommended the beef rib that was on special. It was fall off the bone tender, tastey, and moist. I got the brussel sprouts and they came with a zesty cream sauce that was good. One person got a rack of pork ribs that looked quite good. My husband got the turkey sandwich and said it was heftier than it looked and got very full from it. One guy got the brisket and shared a small piece with me. I couldn't believe how incredibly tender it was. Usually brisket is dry and fairly tasteless, but not this one. It had good flavor and was very moist. The other couple also let us try their yellow beets. They were surprisingly good ! The trout toast had great flavor and I recommend... wish they would give a few more toast though. There are 3 sauces too choose from to put on your meat. All were vinegar based with one having tomato in it with a slight viscosity. The interior is sparsely decorated and just a cement floor. Seating is comfortable. There are tables outside on the patio. Our waiter was very engaging and pleasant. The hostess, however, did not smile once and acted as if she didn't want to be there. Skip dessert here. The handpie is very small. The key lime pie is tiny (last time I measured the pie and it was 3 inches, this looked just a bit bigger but barely any flavor.) My friend let me try her toffee bread pudding, it was just ok but at least there was a decent quantity.

Yelp
LOVE Noble Smoke! The environment, the food, the staff - everything's great. Noble Smoke is a haven for barbecue enthusiasts seeking authentic flavors and hearty portions. I recently visited this spot once for dinner with family and once for a rehearsal dinner with about 30 people - and both experiences exceeded expectations. The menu has something for everyone. Whether you want authentic bbq pork or chicken, to amazing sides like mac and cheese and brussels sprouts, I promise you will enjoy all the delicious items Noble Smoke has. The banana pudding is also a MUST. It's my favorite in Charlotte. My friend had her rehearsal dinner here last week as well. It was about 30 people and they had us set up in a cute room to the right when you walk in. It was perfect for a smaller group and we had buffet options to choose from. Plenty of delicious food and the servers kept the food coming. A great option for weddings, events and more. Overall, Noble Smoke delivers a fantastic barbecue experience. From the mouthwatering meats to the cozy atmosphere and attentive service, it's a place I would most definitely recommend.

Yelp
I absolutely loveeeeeee the lean or fatty burgers, hushpuppies, and smoked wings. This is a nice restaurant. You receive great customer service. Getting food delivered is good as well.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious food, good music, super waitress, all adds up to 5 stars for Noble Smoke. I can't believe it took me so long to make a visit! Our waitress was the best. Attentive, responsive, & friendly. The food (my order of smoked sausage, mac 'n cheese, & collards was absolutely delicious. I ate all of it! I love the "small enough portion, but enough to share" concept. The menu has a lot of good choices! Plenty of parking & reasonable prices.

Yelp
First order the Mac and cheese. It's made with goat cheese and I promise it was so good. Has me rethinking my Mac and cheese recipe. They were out of the brisket but I got smoked wings. They were good but nothing to write home about. The brussel sprouts were so delicious. They have some type of sauce on the side that is so delicious. The ribs were very good. All menu items are a la carte so keep that in mind. And they sell the meats by pound. 1/4, 1/2 and 1 pound. Very casual atmosphere. They have a band on the weekend. Nice place to enjoy the cool nights of fall. And the smell is unbelievable. There is parking in the back near the second entrance.
google avatar

Dusty F.

Yelp
Still at the table as I start my thoughts on this experience. Yuppie Q. Plates and golf shirts everywhere. It's a restaurant not a bbq spot. When you are using sauce, its not great. Brisket is pot roast, turkey is dry and the sausage is breakfast sausage. Giving it a 3 because it was clean and efficient. Plates bro... plates.

Julie B.

Yelp
What a great little spot in downtown Charlotte The food was amazing! The outdoor seating was very family friendly with live music as well!! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful.
google avatar

Lindsay B.

Yelp
After hearing rave reviews about Noble Smoke, I was tickled to death to finally be able to try it. We ordered 3 meats and a few sides to share. I love how you order the meats by weight because this allows you to get just a little or a lot depending on what you're feeling. The star of the show by far was the brisket! Apparently I've been doing it wrong because I always cut the fat off my brisket?? I ate the fat with the meat in the same bite and it changed my life. Truly incredible and just melts in your mouth. There are several sauces on the table but I didn't really need it, the meats had plenty of flavor on their own. The sides were really good. I liked the brussels sprouts, slaw and mac & cheese the best. The hushpuppies unfortunately fell flat for me. They were a little dry and didn't hold well together. I want to go back and try other menu items and will report back!

Stuart H.

Yelp
I stumble onto this BBQ spot on my way to pick up some folks at CLT. What a great place. As we didn't have a lot of time, we sat the bar and had a plate of their ribs...great bark and wonderful smoke ring. The meat was nearly perfect...could have used a little more time in the smoker. The sides were very flavorful. I plan on visiting again, when I have more time to enjoy.

Yelp
Chef Noble has did it again. While chasing BBQ perfection he has created another gem. Wanted a popular spot in the city but not downtown. My friend was in from out of town and he was hankering for some BBQ but we were out to see a show so I wanted a nice joint. Noble is large, plenty of parking, massive bar and it is divided up enough that you think your in smaller place. Just on the west end enough to pop back into your car and go directly to whatever you are aiming for downtown. Cocktails, we had a couple the Noble Old Fashion's and they were the heat. We went dealers choice on alcohol. Bartender chose a rye whiskey and he hooked it up. Beers, had a couple of their offerings good and there were about 50 draft beer choices. Meats we shared a slab of brisket, nice and spicy hot links, golden brown hush puppies, and the Brussel sprouts. +++ Let me mark this, those sprouts were the best I have ever had. Nice char, still moist on the inside, a little crunchy, and a hint of sweetness probably from a pre soak in something. +++
google avatar

Alexis S.

Yelp
I don't like BBQ. My husband loves it and he never gets to go because I don't like it. Noble Smoke is fresh, delicious and has something for everyone. The star of the show was for sure the Brussel Sprouts with the BBQ aioli. I got the smoke turkey it was so moist and delicious. We also got the corn. It was absolutely Devine but a little peppery for the kiddos. 10/10 for sure. The details in the decor and ambiance we truly appreciated. We were just passing through before a flight out and it was a perfect meal.

Yelp
We were in Charlotte for an event and we had some time off, so decided to go get something for dinner. We have sampled a number of different types of barbecue, but never really went in-depth when it comes to Carolina barbecue, and Noble Smoke appeared to be the place that would fix that. We parked around what turned out to be the back, right where the smokehouse is. Just getting out of the car and observing the smokehouse promised that this was going to be a good experience. You could feel the heat from the ovens and smokers through the brickwork on the outside of the building. The restaurant is housed in what used to be an old brick garage. It has been converted into a beautiful restaurant, and I feel that at least some parts have been added on for the smokehouse portion, but you get a feel of age and history when walking into this building. Walking around, we spoke to the host and were quickly seated outside, as it was a beautiful evening. A bluegrass band was playing in the corner, and a wedding reception was underway out by the private room. Nearly every table was occupied this Friday night, and the staff were busy taking care of everyone. Going over the menu, we had some ideas, but I still asked our waiter what he suggested. While he had a number of good suggestions, many of which coincided with our own thoughts, we went with what we felt to be the right choices. We went with three meats: the pulled pork, the lean brisket, and the sausage. For sides we went with fries, butter beans, and the Western Carolina coleslaw. For drinks we went with a couple of local beers, in my case a sour as that appears to be the only type I can stand. All of the food was good, with only the pulled pork being an item that was just "good"... everything else was excellent! The brisket had an incredible smoke ring on it, and even my mother enjoyed it. The sausage had a creaminess to it with just a hint of jalapeno to spice things up. For the sides, the fries were perfect on their own and did not need any seasoning, the butter beans were buttery smooth, and the coleslaw had an incredible vinegary flavor that had a light kick to it that was wonderful. Next time we will probably change out the pulled pork for some chicken or the smoked turkey. The pork was good, but it was an item that we feel could be swapped out. The staff were incredible the entire time. They were constantly helping each other out, and the teamwork was evident. You will be taken care of when you go here!

Yelp
My sister enjoyed the pulled pork. The Lima beans needed salt and more flavor, the fried corn was delicious, the onion rings need a dipping sauce and the hush puppies are odd I wasn't impressed but my sister was very impressed

Yelp
I travel for work quite a good bit, and when I'm roaming around I always try to get restaurant suggestions from the locals. In this case, they recommended Noble Smoke for some good ol'Southern BBQ. The restaurant has all the classic BBQ decore with a flash of modern. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings and products. Even made some suggestions on what to order. Menu is a-la-carte for the most part, but there were no bad choices to be made. The brisket sandwich was exquisite! Juicy, chunky and full of flavor. Of course I used some of their smoke sauces to spice it up a bit. I like my food a little saucy. Definitely coming back here to try some of their other items on the menu!

Yelp
The barbecue spot had a charming and roomy atmosphere, and our server was attentive. The standout dishes were the brisket, Brussel sprouts, and mac and cheese! If only I had more room to indulge in dessert.

Yelp
Amazing BBQ joint. If you're in to bbq don't skip this. Brisket was to die for. Sides are a bit expensive but much prefer the higher quality and attention to detail offered here Pit-master Cole and Manager Scott (sorry if I got that wrong) were really cool. Ask for a tour of their smokehouse if they're not too busy. Wow! 6 1000 gallon offsets and traditional direct. This is the real deal.

Yelp
Incredible brisket and ribs (only available on Saturday). It is creekstone sourced so you know it's quality and halal! Thank you for an incredible experience. All the sides were excellent. We had the mac & cheese, pickled beets, red, and regular coleslaw and brussels sprouts. Brussels sprout was a little salty. Ribs and brisket were both moist and flavorful. All three of their sauces were delicious I would post a picture, but it is all devoured

Yelp
Food was delicious although for the price portions could be slightly larger. Restaurant was busy as it was Father's Day so we sat at bar, party of 2, and the service was lackluster. The server was overly friendly to take our orders and make recommendations but then never returned to inquire about anything.

Yelp
I read several reviews about how good the food was so decided to try it. They were so right!! Awesome place with amazing food. We will be going back to Charlotte in a few days and we will be going back. I had the hot turkey sandwich. I had planned to put bbq sauce on it but it was so good it didn't need anything else. I generally don't like pimento cheese but my sister ordered it to share. This is not the pimento cheese I get in Oklahoma. It was sooo good. The bread was soaked in butter and toasted, we couldn't stop eating it. I will definitely get both again. The green beans were good but nothing special. I highly recommend this bbq place. You will not be disappointed

Yelp
Everything was awesome here! We went around 7 on a Thursday night in October. It was a great atmosphere and the food was amazing. If we are ever in Charlotte again, a stop here is imminent! We ordered Miss Mary's platter for $120. We ordered several sides: hush puppies, Brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese. We also got the pimento cheese app (which was my absolute favorite)! The only negative was we wanted to add sausage to try it and they were out of it. So we got an order of wings. They were fantastic too. We loved all the sauces. Sorry no pics, there were 6 of us that hasn't seen each other in awhile so I didn't even pick up my phone! Nice people, great service, plenty of parking, easy to get to, a definite must in Charlotte!

Yelp
I seek out BBQ across the entire nation. I've eaten in all of the best spots in the country. Too many to say. I'm a pitmastwr too and have a line of my own sauces. I'm telling you that Noble Smoke knows BBQ. Their brisket which is usually the most difficult meat to cook is the best I've eaten anywhere. The right amount of just salt and pepper paired with the right amount of smoke, cooked low and slow yields unbelievably delicious meat. The ribs are outstanding too. Great cuts of meat treated with tender loving and Noble smoke. That's all it takes. Kudos to the sides too. If you're in the neighborhood stop in. I was in NC twice in two weeks and went back both times. It's that good. I promise!

Yelp
Terrific family-friendly smokehouse. A spacious, rustic setting featuring an array of smoked meats: Brisket, pork, ribs, turkey, and chicken. They have the most impressive smokehouse I've laid eyes on and deliver excellent barbecue. Our group tried the assortment of meats and just about every side on the menu. Rave reviews all the way around. The service was outstanding in every respect. Noble Smoke has a full bar with an extensive list of local beers. Throw in live music, televisions showing the Masters, and it's a combination that can't be beat!

Yelp
Bridget was perfectly cooked and added onion rings and potato salad to the order. Enjoyed being outside and Alex was attentive to caring for us! It was nice to meet the manager, Jeff who stopped by to see if we were happy with our dinner.. great atmosphere and if we come back k to this area we will remember to stop by!!!

Yelp
Great spot! Huge space, great food, and a menu that everyone can enjoy. We came with a big group and ordered the platter and a bunch of sides. The platter came with turkey, brisket, ribs, pork, and pickled veggies, and then we ordered sausage, Mac n cheese, hushpuppies, and succotash. The brisket was by far the winner, and I'm surprised to say the turkey was up there! The only one I wouldn't order again was the pork. It was moist, but an odd flavor. As for the sides, they were all awesome. The mac n cheese was also a fan favorite, but the succotash was surprisingly one of my favs too.

Yelp
What a wonderful eatery. The meatloaf was great, and the brussel sprouts were soooooo good. Service was fast and friendly. Nice BBQ vibes.

Yelp
It might be the new king of bbq in the Queen City. REALLY good bbq. I had the brisket and others had many of the other offerings at my table and everyone raved about the food. If I have any complaint, it's about the expectation of serving sizes. I was disappointed when just two slices of brisket arrived as the entree. That said, when the sides and appetizers we ordered were factored in, I was happily full and not bloated. If you're looking for a deal on bbq this isn't the place, but if you want some of the very best bbq in Charlotte, this is your place!

Yelp
I love BBQ. It is one of those simple pleasures and I appreciate those who take it seriously. Noble Smoke is one of those places... I found myself in North Carolina and desperately in need of good bbq. Clearly, there is no shortage. But I was in a particular area of Charlotte and pressed for time. I was once given a solid piece of advice - "if you can't see the smoker and the stacks of wood outside, it ain't bbq." (This has only led me to good things.) Noble Smoke has plentiful parking and a well-thought out operation, from dine-in seating to curbside delivery. I easily found the smokers and the piles of wood. As I took pictures from the outside, one of the Pitmasters welcomed me in, showed me the smokers and the ovens used for generating heat and coals. They had just finished wrapping the briskets taken out of the smokers in butcher paper. It was a sight to see. This is how it should be done - Pitmasters proud of their work and welcoming others for a peek into their craft. As for the brisket and ribs I brought back to the large clan - gone, without a trace. The only evidence of it existing were the looks of contentment and statements of how this was the best bbq they've had in North Carolina. Glad I picked up a tshirt - I will wear it proudly!

Yelp
Oh my God!!!! The food here is so over the top!! Are you kidding me?! This food would bring peace to the Middle East! The greens are to die for, but the brisket is the things that dreams are made of. I owe all my success goes to my son and Batman.
