The 20 Best Set Menus In London

"Two courses and a drink: £16.50 The Islington handmade pasta restaurant is one of those everyday spots that can fit pretty much any kind of situation, and its set lunch (available Monday to Friday from 12-5pm) has similar mass appeal. There’s house-baked datterini tomato focaccia followed by a choice of pastas, like aglio e olio spaghettoni with crispy garlic chips or veal and pork Genovese ragu. A glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink is included as well." - jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The 23 Best Restaurants In Islington

"Opened by a former chef at pasta favourites Bancone and Tavolino, Noci was always going to fit into Islington Green. The roomy restaurant has a decent buzz to it and a focus on handmade pasta. This is what you come here for. The pesto and crispy pancetta ziti will put all your memories of fingering jars of Sacla to shame, while the brown butter cacio e pepe is something we could shovel for the rest of eternity. You can take or leave the sharing plates with little fuss—carbs are the star of the show here." - jake missing

Noci

"Start with the delicious homemade focaccia and share some starters before ordering the USP: generous pasta dishes which invariably hit the spot, such as veal & pork Genovese ragu or brown butter cacio e pepe. The menus are fairly priced, as are the cocktails, making this a useful pitstop in this busy part of Islington. You’ll leave feeling sated and satisfied." - Michelin Inspector

The Best London Restaurants For A £50 Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"Someone needs to make a rom-com about Noci’s brown butter cacio e pepe and our stomachs. Arguably, this might be a tall order for a casting director but there is no denying that this handmade pasta is the kind of thing you’ll love eating with someone you love. There you go, we’ve got the film’s tagline sorted. At this buzzy little restaurant on Islington Green, from the same chef who brought us Bancone and Tavolino, you can take or leave the sharing plates. Everyone knows the pastas—all of which fall around the £14 mark—are the star of the show here. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver

Noci - Review - Islington - London - The Infatuation

"Opened by a former chef at pasta favourites Bancone and Tavolino, there was little doubt that Noci would fit into Islington Green very well. The roomy restaurant has a decent buzz and it does, of course, focus on handmade pasta. This is what you come here for and this is what you should order. The pesto and crispy pancetta ziti will put all your memories of fingering jars of Sacla to shame, while the brown butter cacio e pepe is something we could shovel for the rest of eternity. Really lovely restaurant with lots of space! The staff were lovely and food tasty but just a bit on the smaller end for the price of the dishes. If you are hungry would need 1.5 pasta dishes to really feel full. Or get a range of starters. Overall everything we got was tasty!

The starters and pastas we had were sensational! Highly recommend the silk handkerchiefs. And they kindly made room for us on a table when the counters were too high for one of our party, even though they were very busy. Will definitely return.

The best pasta ever. You can enjoy it with both your eyes and mouth. The dish was served impressively hot, and I couldn’t help but order wine. The staff here are all sweet and kind. I will definitely come back if I visit London again!

We had an early lunch on Saturday and was served by Lucia who was super friendly and very informative about the food we were eating. The dishes were so yummy and there was a good drinks selection too. Will definitely be coming back!

We showed up here last minute as we had a slight disaster with the restaurant we had originally booked. The hostess found us a table immediately even though we were quite a large table, she was super understanding and very sweet. The food was amazing and the staff was lovely, made my birthday dinner very special. Great Gluten free option too ( my friend has a gluten sensitivity)

Our server Lucia was amazing - giving details on dishes we ordered and recommendations. Pasta dishes were stunning! Lively and fun atmosphere. Luckily was able to just walk-in, but it got busy quick so recommended booking in advance to avoid disappointment! Would definitely return!

I came here for my birthday, so I had high expectations. We had a reservation and were seated within five minutes, which was great. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lively—everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves. We started with the crispy fried parcels of Parma ham. They were a bit too salty for me, though my boyfriend really liked them. We both came specifically for the carbonara, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The sauce was very runny—almost like a soup—and lacked the richness I was hoping for. The flavor was just okay and a bit plain, which was disappointing. I was so let down that I skipped dessert. Overall, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations, especially for a special occasion.

The hospitality here was outstanding. Lucia welcomed me with warmth and professionalism, guiding me through the menu with great care and excellent recommendations. She also showed me around and shared the restaurant’s history with passion. Her kindness and expertise made the experience truly special. And the food? Simply exceptional!
