New Late-Night Restaurant Nomad Arrives at Red Rocks - Eater Denver

"A new restaurant opens Thursday near Red Rocks, just in time for the last concert stretch of the season. Nomad Taqueria and Beer Garden will offer a Southwestern and Mexican food menu and margaritas until 1 a.m. at the base of the Origin Red Rocks hotel. Its chef, Christopher Medved, has worked for years at Denver spots like City O’ City, Steuben’s, and, most recently, Campus Lounge. He traveled the Four Corners and Mexico to plan for Nomad’s food. The new restaurant will open almost all day every day, so diners can stop in before or after their morning Red Rocks runs or evening concerts. Medved’s menu starts with burritos and guacamole toast for breakfast and includes tlayudas (crispy tortillas laid flat and topped like a pizza), chicken torta sandwiches, and adobo-marinated pork loin for dinner and lunch. Customers can order three tacos for $12 or three tamales for $14. Twenty Colorado draft beers and a nitro Copper Door coffee are on tap, and margaritas start at $6. The beer garden is sprawling, across a 7,000-square-foot outdoor patio, while inside the restaurant, casual tables surround a glass-enclosed fireplace. Status: Starting on Thursday, September 6, Nomad Taqueria and Beer Garden opens from 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily. The restaurant is located at the Origin Red Rocks hotel, 18485 West Colfax. For more information, check the website." - Josie Sexton

This Southwestern Restaurant Is Coming to the New Red Rocks Hotel - Eater Denver

"Soon visitors to Red Rocks will have another meal option within reach of the concert venue and park. Along with the Origin Red Rocks hotel, Nomad Taqueria and Beer Garden opens August 10 at 18485 West Colfax Avenue. Denver chef Christopher Medved (formerly the Campus Lounge, Steuben’s, Ace Eat Serve, City O’ City, and Watercourse Foods) helms the Nomad kitchen, which will put out Southwestern and Mexican foods. Alamosa bass, adobo pork loin, tamales, and tlayudas are some of Medved’s planned menu items. He traveled all around Mexico and the Southwest’s Four Corners region for inspiration and research. Alongside the food, more than 20 Colorado beers will be tapped, and a cocktail menu will start with margaritas. The 175-seat dining room and patio is going to open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, so Red Rocks visitors can stop in for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late-night snacks. Like the Origin hotel, Nomad is designed with the American Southwest in mind — all warm colors, leather, and wood, with picture windows and a big glass fireplace. The restaurant and hotel are located just off I-70, a 10-minute drive from Red Rocks Amphitheatre." - Josie Sexton

Great place to have inside the Origin. All of the food we had was great and there was a good drink selection. Plenty of good craft beers on draft and the prices were reasonable.

Google
Staff were kind, funny, and great. Food was so low quality. One of the worst burgers I have ever had and the tacos were just meh. That’s just restaurants these days though, what can you do? It’d be nice to witness some heart and soul go into food quality, preparation, creativity, and presentation, but you will not find that here. Bummer.

Beautiful indoor outdoor classic and delicious Cancun native chef i spired mexican dining with great happy hour and live music. Multiple priviate group event rooms with patio access for our special birthday, graduation, reunion, anniversary and work team meetings and parties with plenty of no stress free parking for everyone! Perfect spot to have dinner with live music before a concert at Red Rocks Ampatheater and stay over after the show. Don't miss their special events like Aug. 23rd Battle of the Bands charity fundraiser for local foster kids!

Google
What a pleasant surprise Nomad is! When I park at the lots to go to the mountains with friends, we usually just eat in the mountains somewhere but Nomad might be our new go-to! Delicious tacos, a good happy hour and drinks. Will definitely make this a stop on our way back down from the mountains.

Google
Highly recommend this place! We came here before a concert and there was a live band playing. Jasmine at the bar helped us out with our drink and food and she was great! I had the cod tacos and they were the best I’ve had in a while. Atmosphere is nice too, check it out!

Google
Woof. I wanted to like this place because it was conveniently located off of the highway and the outdoor space seemed nice. It took forever to get the attention of any wait staff and, once we did, it was obvious she was high as a kite. The margaritas were not great (so much salt fell from the rim into the drink it was barely drinkable, I switched to a beer). The food was ok but expensive. You’d be better off stopping at a Taco Bell.

My wife and I went on Saturday 5/10/2025. We sat outside at a table, after 5 minutes no one had come by. So we moved to an inside table so the bartender could see us, after 5 minutes no one had even glanced our direction. So we sat at the bar and it still took 5 minutes for the bartender to ask for our drinks. At the time there was maybe 10 people there. When the bartender did take our order, he was pretty horrible to deal with. He seemed like he was either too cool for us, or wanted to be anywhere else on the planet. We ordered two spicy margaritas. When I say that it was the worst margarita I have ever had, that is a extreme understatement. It was undrinkable. Straight well tequila tastes better. It somehow tasted like dirty water and rotten tequila (if that's even possible). We got tacos for dinner. If I remember right they cost $15 dollars and took 6 bites to eat. There were tiny and completely flavorless. Taco Bell serves food 10x better than those pathetic tacos. All in we spent $60 dollars for two people for an absolutely pathetic dinner. Don't waste your time or money going here. Eat at the gas station across the street for a much better meal.

Google
Brought our dogs with us to the restaurant and had planned to sit outside. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas and it was raining just in time for our reservation. Even though we couldn't bring our dogs inside the restaurant, we ordered our food and ate it in the dog-friendly lobby of the attached hotel. The restaurant staff were so kind and accommodating and the food was delicious! I was so happy with how our evening turned out and I will definitely return!

Yelp
The food was great and our server Brooklyn was outstanding and made us feel very comfortable with our high maintenance requests and was very knowledgeable of the menu whereas I'm used to lots of trips to the kitchen and management to find niche information for certain dishes and drinks. Great environment and staff 10/10

Yelp
Service lacks. On concert nights, this place gets very busy. If you don't have a seat at the bar, they make you wait in the line for a drink, which I found very odd. Vinny the bartender is nice, but the rest of the wait staff, including the bartenders are frankly, rude. We tried breakfast the next day and the food was barely edible. It was extremely greasy and covered in a heavy sauce. I would recommend going to any of the other restaurants or bars in this area over nomads.

Yelp
The only reason this is a 2 star and not a 1 star is due to our server (once finally being greeted and served), she was kind, OTHERWISE, this place is a mess and it's too bad. Second time trying Nomad (two years apart) and the food is OK but with it being so close to Red Rocks and a constant flow of people, you'd think they'd up their game. We made reservations on their website and that was a joke because it is seat yourself so why they offer reservations is beyond me. When I tried to stop a staff member and clarify we didn't need to check in for our reservation she was entirely rude, making me feel as if I was stupid and inconveniencing her. We found a seat and then just sat there... 10 minutes, no one acknowledged us, we had to find someone and ask (and yes, staff was buzzing around so it wasn't like we weren't seen). Finally a server came to us and she was kind (but no apology for the wait and no water brought to the table). Ordered chips and salsa and the chips were legit soggy, we had to ask for a new bowl. The food did come out quickly and it was fine but nothing special. The drinks were "meh" - definitely not worth $14 for a margarita. In summary, go somewhere else if you're in the area. What a waste of time and money!

Yelp
I like the ambiance and high ceilings in this light-filled, modern taqueria. We came in for breakfast, and while service was a bit slow, our waiter was very kind. I ordered the breakfast burrito, but without the pork green chile. The kitchen was kind enough to provide a side of salsa verde instead. For me, the burrito was pretty bland and would have benefitted from some beans and/or vegetables mixed in. It was one color throughout, due to the contents being simply potatoes, egg, and I think a bit of cheese. It's possible the green chile makes this dish delicious, but vegetarian style, it's not very flavorful.

Yelp
Staff were super friendly on a busy snowy night. The food was good, but very overpriced. I like how you can order tacos ala carte but 10 bucks per one? Shrimp and mushroom were good. Chorizo quesadilla was great but messy. Churros were out of this world!
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
We had tacos, chips, salsa and guacamole. The tacos were delicious and very filling. Guacamole was fresh and salsa was somewhat spicy. The restaurant was not crowded at all on a Saturday night and we were served right away. This does seem like the kind of place that the servers are used to turning tables over quickly. Our service was great during our meal but we stayed for drinks after the meal. It was somewhat difficult to get service once our food had arrived. The outdoor space had a fire going and was relaxing.

Yelp
I stayed at the Origins Red Rocks hotel and the first night, being lazy, we ate lunch here. Nice space, great ambiance, but on this particular day, my biggest gripe was how SLOW the service was. I'm talking a 2 hour lunch time. The restaurant was not busy. The server was really nice, greeted us quickly, got our waters. Then the beer came out a bit slow. But the odd thing was we got chips and guacamole and it took maybe 25 minutes to come out. The food came out about 15 minutes after that. The food itself tasted quite good. While the guacamole was bland, my tacos were quite tasty. My husband's chicken sandwich was good (pounded chicken, which my husband wasn't expecting) and my daughter's quesadilla was fine. Fries were crisp and salted. I was impressed with the presentation and quality of the food given it was a "hotel restaurant." All I can think of was they were understaffed in the dining room and kitchen, which led to long wait times. The FOH manager swung by to check on us and he was very friendly and sweet. We chatted a bit about the hotel and other hotels in the area. I think his name was Juan, and he was very nice. All in all, the restaurant had good food, but just needs to work on their ticket times.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Reasonably priced for an upscale hotel restaurant. on line menus, mexican theme. strongly recommend El basico over their Huevos Rancheros for breakfast. Basico has bacon, Rancheros is a bowl of beans, disappointed there. Coffee is good, you have to request water.
google avatar

Yelp
The service here is excellent. The food is of very high quality and the cocktails are top notch. Highlights. -Breakfast Burrito w/saudero -House old fashioned -Nachos

Yelp
Took 2.5 hours to get tacos and we were only people there. Half the orders wrong and no discounts

Yelp
We stayed at the Origin Red Rocks Hotel on our way to Breckenridge for our snowboarding trip. We flew in late and got to the hotel after 9pm and had difficulty finding a food place that was still open. The Nomad Taqueria is conveniently located in the hotel and wasn't closed yet. The waiter was so kind and allowed us to get seated despite the kitchen closing soon. He took our order and came back to check if we planned to get any dessert, as they were doing last call for the kitchen. The food was mediocre. The carne asada taco lacked flavor and the beef was a bit over cooked. The chorizo taco was more flavorful and the sauce mixed really well. I'm not sure how I feel about the solo nomad nachos. There was too much pinto beans and not enough cheese sauce, so a lot of the chips didn't get cheese on it. I did like the added cotija cheese and pickled chile manzano. That added some good flavor to it.
google avatar

Kathryn H.

Yelp
This place has the best nachos! I really, really loved them. Lots of toppings and great flavor. I also got a la carte tacos and was not nearly as impressed as I was with the nachos. The atmosphere was fun and very relaxing. I went during the week so service was a little slow and there were not many others there. I went to the bar for a Bloody Mary the following morning and it was super good! I like them a little spicier and it had a little kick.

Yelp
Had been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time. They've been developing this area near Red Rocks for quite some time. It is a perfect location at the bottom of Origin Hotel Red Rocks. You are right off of I-70 and can easily run up to the mountains or down to downtown Denver! Beautiful atmosphere. The outside seating area is awesome. Decorated with string lights and firepits, it is a great environment to relax have a drink and good food. We sat inside which was also beautiful. The food was good but a bit over priced for what you were getting. Great taco options and flavors. Nachos were good as well. The service was a bit lack luster though. Overall positive experience. Looking forward to checking it out again.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I truly don't understand the negative reviews, maybe those folks are just fine-dining-only snobs? We came in hungry & not expecting much, and ended up very pleasantly surprised. The food is fantastic - we tried lots of the tacos and loved them all! The fried Brussels sprouts are also great. And breakfast the next day was equally wonderful! The drink selection is also really good, better than the average hotel bar. The service was great every time we ate there during our visit. The ambiance is really nice, plenty of space & a nice chill vibe. I love this place and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The service was so strange/rude that we didn't even stay long enough to order. We walked in and were told to seat ourselves and loved the ambiance. When the bartender, who was also the server, came over to us, my husband asked him what a "beer-mosa" was. Bartender responded curtly "it's a mimosa for men too masculine to just order a mimosa." Then added, "God, I hate people." He set down waters for us, we thanked him and then my husband asked our son if he'd like a sprite or root beer. The bartender immediately got annoyed and grabbed the water off the table from my son. We said "no, it's ok. We'd like the water too." He simply mumbled something under his breath and walked away. We just kind of sat there for a minute, confused by his behavior and annoyance and decided to leave a try a different restaurant. We ended up at the food hall next door and service and food were great.
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
This is a put it together meal place. I don't know about authentic anything. Service was okay, not great. It wasn't busy. Do not do the nachos. No flavor.
google avatar

Val V.

Yelp
Somehow one server took care of alllll the tables on a brunch morning. Understaffed but we did not feel neglected. The breakfast burrito's salsa was piquant, savory, and much needed to give the eggs some flavor. Beautiful spot in a beautiful hotel with pretty views of the red rocks the area is known for. Very clean and bright.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
Cozy and laid back feel each time we stopped by. Their kitchen was out of shrimp while we were in which was our only disappointment. Try the cricket tacos! They're smokey, crunchy and had 0 spice.
google avatar

Erinn C.

Yelp
Great beer selection at the bar. Nice ambiance inside and out. Have a chat with Vinny the bartender - tell him what you like, he won't steer you wrong.

Anthony M.

Yelp
The ambiance was great, plenty of tables and space for large parties. Wait staff and bartender were fast and kind. The tacos were *Chefs kiss*! The Brussel Sprouts were amazing and the chicken/steak solo nachos were delicious! Looking at the negative reviews had me cackling. It's a very nice hotel restaurant on the side of a mountain, not some 5-star award winning chop house lol bring down your expectations to reality and this place will easily be a 10/10. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

Lori H.

Yelp
I've never needed a steak knife before to eat a taco. Hands down, the worst brisket taco I have ever had. The Big MF nachos ($25) were not big. Skip this place. Go next door to the brewery or the gas station.
google avatar

Ainsley E.

Yelp
Cool restaurant, bar, and patio with actually decent food. We came for breakfast while staying in the hotel. Really solid bloody marys. The salsa verde is bomb. Breakfast burrito looked really good and my friend enjoyed it, same with the Basico breakfast which had delicious fresh corn tortillas.
google avatar

Jesse R.

Yelp
Brussel sprouts are outrageous. I live upstairs next door. Vinny upon entering was absolutely cold. Not welcoming or friendly. Also refused to serve us food because we have dogs even after being told by the people in the lobby that it was ok. For one- the brewery across the road has 10+ dogs in at a time. Being this is the closest place to get food I figured I could rely on Nomad. Unfortunately the bar tender refused to serve us but to go.. not stoked probably only coming back for the Brussels.. definitely not for Vinny
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Came here prior to a red rocks showing! The seating was open, spacious and clean. The waiter got us seated promptly. We ordered some chips and salsa to start off. The salsa was pretty damn good. We ordered a litany of the Mexican fare and we're not disappointed! The tacos came out delicious with the crema and toppings. The corn tortillas were nice and tasty. The wings came out simple, nicely sauced and tasty. The quesadilla was super tasty and really had solid flavors that the person was looking for. The service was great, the food tasty and the server kind.
google avatar

Anastasia Y.

Yelp
Nomad's atmosphere is pretty awesome, and would be a good place to hang if you're grabbing drinks and their $5 Happy Hour House Marg! The service was great and the entire place is distanced and taking all precautions with COVID. However, the reason for 3 stars is the food. The barbacoa was the saving grace, but I struggled to eat the Tinga and Veggie tacos. The tinga sauce was bland, and oddly reminded me of spaghetti-o's. I am a tinga fanatic and usually love them all, but this was hard to get down. The veggie was bland as well and would be better with addition of spices. For being the only table in the place ordering food, I would have hoped for a little bit better of plating and presentation as well... So much potential! Just didn't quite get there for me on the food front.

Ea C.

Yelp
It's just OK. Environment is pretty chill. But there's no physical menu, you're forced to squint on your phone to find your selections. I'm not sure why restaurants think this is acceptable. If you're gonna eschew physical menus, then you had better design your website so it's readable on a phone. We had old fashions and they were good enough, not great. The tacos were also good enough. Meat was a bit dry. Chicken was better than the carnitas. Carne Asada also was average. Overall, a decent place to visit if you're in the Golden/Morrison area, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Chase B.

Yelp
Called 5 times no answer so I end up calling the front desk in the attached hotel. Order my a veggie quesadilla the most simple thing on the menu and it took 50 min to receive my food. The most pathetic excuse of a quesadilla I've had.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant and we ate at this restaurant a few times. The prices are great, the food was tasty and they had great beers on tap. Our server Mia was so sweet and attentive. She made it even better. We will be back!
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Open for seating as of 5/30/20. We came from MN and were staying at the Origin Hotel in which the restaurant is attached to. They are doing a great job at wearing masks, spacing everyone apart, paper menus to avoid being reused, and no shared condiments on the tables. They stay a safe distance apart and are accommodating to you and your needs to feel comfortable. We got the Mexican street corn to start which had a nice char from the grill, real cotija cheese and the perfect temperature. Lots of flavor on their street corn, just what you want! I got the Nomad Burger which was loaded with hatch green chilies, avocado, tomato, Lima crema, lettuce, and pickled onion. It was served on a warm, crisp bun and I got fries as my side. The burger was filling and the amount of hatch chilies were awesome and made the flavor. The fries...it's been awhile since I've had fries and this was the best way to hop back into it - served with individual ketchup packets on the side to avoid using the same bottle from table to table and eliminate germ spread. My boyfriend got the Barbacoa Taco and the Tinga Taco. He scarfed then down so quick I didn't even get a bite but I know he raved about them even the next morning. House margarita is light and let's you taste the tequila over being to sweet. Spicy margarita is not as spicy as I imagined so I would rather get the house next time. They had a limited amount on tap at the moment due to just reopening but we got the voodoo IPA which was thirst quenching and fresh. Staff was so friendly and sweet - we all were excited to be present and almost forgot how to communicate to each other. It was the best feeling to be back at a restaurant patio enjoying a nice evening with served food. Thank you for being our first experience back at it, Nomad!

Yelp
Delicious breakfast. My partner and I had the breakfast burrito and huevos Ranchero. Both were very good. Coffee was freshly brewed and very good. There was only one waitress on duty because of staffing shortages but she was a great host and ran the entire place on her own very efficiently. Highly recommend checking this establishment out.
google avatar

Darrelle G.

Yelp
Delicious delicious delicious delicious! You must get the Brussels. Delicious. I had an old fashion in the margarita, both were neither too sweet nor too sour. A dinner in my room, the burger and fries. Not to disappoint. Really good flavor, enjoyed the green chilies. Wish they had a little bit more of a kick, but overall all satisfied!

Rhonda W.

Yelp
Vinny at the bar was amazing, super friendly! Chicken tacos were a great choice and SO glad we ordered extra and stuck in our fridge, as when we got back from the concert at Red Rocks it was a well needed treat! Highly recommend, especially if you are seeing a show as there is a off property service for shuttle option too (for a fee) but well worth not worrying about driving. Look forward to coming back.
google avatar

Drew H.

Yelp
Good food and overall vibes of the place, it is off of a hotel so it was a little different. The outdoor patio was great.
google avatar

Janet D.

Yelp
It's got so much potential! It's a newer place and all but the staff is awesome. Chef Christopher Medved is killing it with his Mexican inspired dishes. Their Alamosa Bass taco was on point and juicy! They have a happy hour from 3-6. But if you drop by before that you can order three tacos for $12. It's their mix n match tacos! Try it! I also had the Pibil and the Barbacoa tacos with the Alamosa Bass. I will get them again. Now company had the Classic Burger for $12. It was surprisingly malnourished as far the patty was concerned. Granted he requested the burger protein style. ( no buns but wrapped in lettuce instead) that shouldn't affect the girth of the patty. This bar has 20 local beers on tap. Wide selection of bottled beer. Kombucha on tap. Margarita too! They offer grab-n-go options for hikers and guests in need of quick bites before taking on the outdoors. Inside and outside. For those Colorado summers you will appreciate the outside area. It's got the requisite fire pit!
google avatar

Paul F.

Yelp
Not so good Ordered chips and salsa and the chips where all broken and stale the waiter gladly agreed and took them off the bill Ordered quesadillas with chicken and was able to find some chicken in there Small portions for the price Drinks expensive but isn't that the case nowadays I didn't think this was a good value for the money Wait stall awesome
google avatar

Erissa H.

Yelp
House margarita = 10/10 Chips & salsa = 10/10 Carnitas tacos = 10/10 Service = 10/10 Not sure why there are bad reviews! I am leaving very satisfied. :)

Yelp
I've been here twice now and will say it's nice to have decent food options so conveniently close to the dinosaur lots, Matthews/Winters park and Red Rocks. Located in the Origin Hotel, you wouldn't think much of it, but each time I've been pleased with the selection of food and beverage options. Both times I used a Denver Passport, but even without the discount the food was reasonable for the quality and quantity served. Over the summer, came here for BOGO margaritas and some apps, and yesterday it was for dinner. I appreciated that they gave plenty of chips for the queso and salsa flight, because who wants to have to ask for more? My bf got 3 tacos (shrimp, carnitas and barbacoa); his only complaint was that the tortillas were harder than he would have preferred. I had the enchiladas; the sauce had a great smoky mole flavor and the dish was so filling I ended up with leftovers. There are PLENTY of hyper-local and CO beers on tap, and they make a mean coin margarita. Something for everyone. I think the biggest draw for non-hotel guests is the outdoor space. With lounge chairs, picnic tables/benches, a fire pit and lawn games, it's striving to be a place where you can hang. The indoor space is also quite lovely, with options to curl up near the fireplace, sit at an intimate table, or gather at community high tops in the bar. The only downside I've experienced is that the service is inconsistent. Over the summer, it was reallllllly slow and we had to constantly flag down our server for water refills and to pay our bill. This time, upon entering we waited for 3 mins at the host stand while a nearby server kinda ignored us, only to eventually glance over and say "seat yourself". Our actual server Tay was fantastic however, so props to her. Overall a solid place and one I would return to if in the area, especially in the warmer weather months.

Jen D.

Yelp
Food isn't good, my margarita was incredibly watered down. Service is ALWAYS HORRIBLE. Seems like largely a management issue. Atmosphere is nice though. I won't be back

Samantha T.

Yelp
This pet friendly place blew our minds! We went for brunch and ordered chorizo tacos (delicious flavor), a suadero quesadilla (my favorite) and carne asada (my boyfriend's favorite). We both got vanilla lattes - I have to say, the coffee here is better than any coffee shop I've ever been to!! Service was great too, and they even brought our dog his own water bowl. Will definitely be back again!

Amanda S.

Yelp
Such a shame that they cannot nail down great food and drinks because the interior has tons of space. Margs are meh Food is bland and they just don't have any solid choices. What Mexican place doesn't offer a high quality guac as an app?! We've tried this place many times hoping it would be different... but this last time put the nail in the coffin for me.
google avatar

Abby S.

Yelp
Yes, they have breakfast tacos! Now that the weather is looking more like spring, weekend mornings at Red Rocks are a "must". Get those great views of downtown Denver and some free fitness at the same time. Nomad can be your stop after for chilaquiles or breakfast tacos. Or both! I love how Nomad adds the hashed browns into the tortilla and makes the eggs crispy on top. Perfect consistency and size. At 10 am on a Saturday, they were not terribly busy. Seat yourself and the bartender or hostess will help you out. Food comes out quickly, so you are on your way within 30 minutes. Unless you want to stick around for a Bloody Mary... which was tempting. A hotel near Red Rocks is a game changer. A hotel with a cool bar/restaurant is even better.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Great experience tonight! My fiancé had the pineapple jalapeño margarita and I had the blood orange one. Excellent taste and well poured. We had the nachos as an app with brisket on top - nummy with fresh guac. Much tastier than your normal dry nachos. As entrees we had two tacos and the nomad burger- again, all very flavorful and delicious. Only minor complaint was there was a bit of a draft and I was a little chilly. Otherwise a tasty experience with friendly service from Jamie!

Aaron C.

Yelp
My wife and I each had two street tacos at an average of $7 a piece. They were so dry I damn near choked on the brisket taco. The $8 chips and salsa had stale chips and lousy salsas. My daughter had the cheeseburger and it was so over cooked that none of us could stand it. I will say, her fries were decent. The margaritas were weak and overpriced. I just could not believe how bad this place was. Not surprising it was empty in there. Just awful.

Yelp
My only real complaint was the service. There were 2 bar tenders working each time we came, which were constantly busy between making drinks for outside, bar area and the restaurant as well as their own customers sitting at the bar- and it was difficult for someone to take our order. There were multiple large parties before concerts and the staff was struggling to bus tables while taking orders. The servers were nice, but they just need more help. This bar and restaurant was super convenient as we were guests at Origin Hotel Red Rocks and attended 2 red rocks concerts. We ate breakfast, happy hour and dinner here. Their happy hour menu is (if you like beer, house margs and wine), but wish there could be cider on the HH. Their chips and salsa was a good snack while we played corn hole in the beer garden. We also ate breakfast here before a hike one morning and it was good! Solid breakfast tacos and coffee, but a little greasy. Overall great convenient place if you stay at the hotel or are going to a red rocks show!

Yelp
Had some friends staying in town at the Red Rocks Origin hotel so we decided to check this place out since it's on the ground level of the hotel. This place was way better than any of us expected. I've honestly never really even bothered with on site dining at hotels since they almost never have vegan/gluten-free options. This place did though! And, everything was even clearly labeled on the menu which is always appreciated. The jackfruit tacos were delicious (if you're into sweet and spicy food), so were the chips and salsa/guac app. Our server/bartender really knew how to make a good drink. The lavender gin lemonade and house margaritas were both excellent. We ate there on a Sunday for a late lunch and there were only a handful of other people there. There's quite a bit of seating both inside and outside on the patio. Will definitely keep this place in mind when in the area.

Yelp
Ok. This place has a lot of pluses: nice fireplace, plenty of seating, outside seating and cornhole, even an outdoor fire pit. It's got a cool vibe, kinda nature-y hipster and there are lots of intriguing things on the Mexican-inspired menu. However, the few times we went (we stayed in the hotel) service was atrocious. One morning we must have waited 45 minutes for a menu. Once we were done eating, I had to corner a bartender just to get the check. That all being said, we had some delightful chicken sandwiches and local kombuchas. Later on we had cocktails by the fire and I could easily forget how hard it had been to order food. Overall, this is one of the better hotel restaurants I've been to. Try it out, just give yourself plenty of time.

Yelp
I really liked this place! Food is good - fresh, interesting, Spanish fare. We had the Aguachile and Esquites. The Aguachile was essentially a ceviche and it was really fresh and tasty. The flavor was a mix of citrus from the lime and kind of sour from the pickled red onion (YUM! I love pickled red onion). I'm not sure I've ever had esquites before and it was really tasty - fresh corn with some light crema, more pickled red onions, and (not too much) cheese. I mixed both of these with the salsa and ate them with chips. Their chips are GREAT! They have this hint of lime, which really added to the flavors of the salsas, sauces, and dips. The space is very nice. It has a lot of loungy areas, which I love. If I'm visiting with my partner, we tend to belly up at the bar or grab a seat at the couches (which, were VERY cute velvet by the way). The decor was super cute and lighting was perfect for evening. They also have a good sized private space for medium-sized groups. The outdoor space is where it's at though - very pretty landscaping, twinkling lights, and corn hole. Perfect for a summertime afternoon! I'll be visiting this place after a Red Rocks workout FOR SURE! The service at this location is top notch. Everyone was very accommodating to our group - pleasant, friendly, and organized to work with. When there was an issue with coats, they were very pleasant and quick in getting a rack for the guests. They all seemed to be friendly and get along with eachother, which is always good to see. I had zero complaints with the bartender, servers, hostess, or even the chef. I love visiting a friendly group and I will be back!

Yelp
I had an excellent breakfast burrito smothered in pork chili verde this morning. Great mix of flavors and textures - kudos for the corn salsa in the filing. The drip coffee was much better than you'd expect at at a hotel restaurant. My only complaint would be on the service side of things as they were understaffed.

Yelp
I was waiting on friends to pick up from the Origin Hotel which is in the same building as the Nomad Taqueria and Beer Garden. I decided to have ice cream and wanted to order. An older gentleman who was bartending said that he normally have ice cream but doesn't have it now cause it is locally resourced. I don't know what that meant. Then his coworker indicated that they have ice cream and I can get my selection. I asked for the mango habenero ice cream. The guy turned to his tablet and kept me waiting there. After a few minutes he asked me if I was ready. Mind you, I'm the only person waiting for him. I said yes. He said, "That would be $8.00." And I said but it is four dollars on the menu. He said, "Well, I don't set the price; now, do you want it or not?" I said I don't want it and walked out. He said something to the effect of if I don't afford it then that is not his problem. Wow!! Good job, y'all¡ I am very disappointed by how disrespectful and flat out childish that bartender was. I informed the other servers about my dissatisfaction and left to sit in my car. I hope you change this kind of customer service. Attached is their menu.
