The Best New Bars in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"After Rapport announced its indefinite closure at the start of the year, many wondered what would become of Seattle’s most expansive self-pour wine bar space. Fortunately for local wine enthusiasts, it’s not going to waste. In its place is now Nomadic Wine Dispensary, a sommelier’s dream for sampling vintages from around the world, backed with nine beer taps, a nice cocktail list, and a food menu designed around Tuscan sandwiches. The layout is nearly identical to its predecessor, made over with warm wood and blue-gray tones — it’s the perfect spot for a classy date night or weekend wind down. Just do yourself a favor and grab the schiacciata in between all that wine." - Brianna Gunter

New Restaurant Openings for Seattle, May 2025 | Eater Seattle

"A self-pour wine bar in Capitol Hill that replaced Rapport and currently offers wine (and some beer) with small plates and sandwiches; Capitol Hill Seattle reports it will eventually be serving coffee in the mornings." - Harry Cheadle

Nomadic Wine Dispensary - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Taking over the old Rapport space on Capitol Hill is another self-pour wine bar—rest assured, none of those taps are going to waste. You can sip your way through fermented grapes and snack on sandwiches stuffed with mortadella, or go all in with bigger plates like rigatoni bolognese and porchetta. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
Our party of 3 shared tapas and sampled a couple varieties of wine from the self-pour wine bar. We had an order of the house-made Bread with olive oil, roasted cauliflower with pine nuts, roasted carrots, and an order of burrito with arugula and cherry tomatoes. Service was pleasant and tapas were very good. We had a reservation, but on the evening of our visit, it wasn't necessary.

Google
Fantastic venue for group events! Our school PTA hosted an evening social and Nomadic was the perfect venue. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and made the planning process really easy. We loved that we pre-order a variety of hors d’oeuvres ahead of time, while our guests could choose and buy their own beverage during the event. The food was delicious, the space had a great vibe for mingling, and everything ran so smoothly. Would definitely recommend!

Google
This is such a cool place! Great ambiance, great service (really nice staff), and a fun way to try a lot of different wines! We ordered the Schiacciata bread and olives, which were perfect with the wine. We really enjoyed the entire experience. There is also a self-pour beer area and they serve cocktails, if wine is not your thing. We can't wait to go back!

Google
This is a beautiful place with a hand picked selection of wines and a variety of food avaliable. They were very friendly and we enjoyed our time on a comfortable leather couch with AC listening to music. The staff guided us with several recommendations and back stories.

Google
Who designed this place? Such a convoluted system of cards and methods of billing - coming here with a group was a nightmare. The cards for the wine dispensers are all identical, and they were really easy to mix up - there was a lot of post hoc Venmoing at the end of the night. At least the bottles that are on tap are of a really high quality, and we got to sample a lot of great wines. Don't know that the hassle was worth it, though.

Google
Nomadic is hands down one of the best wine bars in Seattle. The space feels cozy and relaxed, the self-pour setup makes it fun to try a bunch of wines, and the food is next level. The broccoli sandwich is my favorite thing on the menu, and the sticky toffee pudding is a must. Friendly staff, great vibe, perfect for a date or just hanging with friends.

Google
Came here with a group of 4 for lunch and WOW! The food was delicious and interesting. The whole wine experience was super fun and unique. Came in from out of town based on reviews and was not disappointed! Great service as well from our waitress.

Google
Nomadic is great. I love the atmosphere, very relaxing. And, being a lover of red wine, there is plenty to choose from at Nomadic. The Spicy 'Nduja Mac was awesome, definitely on the list again for next time we visit. The new ownership should be congratulated on a job well done!

Yelp
Finally Seattle has a taste of Europe! I went to a dispensary like this in Amsterdam and loved the concept. You can try a bunch of different wines if you're noncommittal like me haha Such a great and fun option for a happy hour! The focaccia on the mortadella was a bit dry but the flavor was on point. Can't really go wrong with a mortadella though in my opinion.

Yelp
Went there for a yelp elite promo and thought it was a lovely bar for a quick drink if you're dining in the area or meeting up with a friend. PROS: - nice location, very walkable, inside is spacious and inviting; well laid out with fantastic interior decor, lighting, lots of comfy couches too - servers and workers were very professional - They have a unique system where it allows you to take a token and try out different wine pours for different oz at different price points. It's self-serve which was pretty neat. If you end up liking something you can get a full bottle. With $5 provided to elites, - limited finger food if you're planning on snacking - good collection of wines including Washington CONS: - Horrid parking. I drove around for 30 mins trying to find a spot. Don't recommend driving if it can be avoided - Expensive price for some Washington wines Nice spot for a drink!

Yelp
Visited last night with a friend and had a really great time. I'm not much of a wine drinker but my exposure to all their different wines and the accompanying information regarding their flavor notes, origin, and recommended food pairings made this such an exploratory and fun experience. The staff here were all very helpful and friendly, and there was a particular interaction that I was so appreciative of--one of the staff noticed that my friend and I were chatting about which of the rare and special wines to try and he popped in, asked a couple questions about flavor preferences, and made an awesome recommendation. Everything we tried was soooo good and I ended up breaking my budget because I was so seriously interested in trying everything! Highly recommend and personally can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
I went to Nomadic for a Yelp Elite event but had gotten the date wrong! I showed up and was solo at the spot, but I still had a great time. The thing I love about this place is that you can pick the size of your pours and try as many things as you like without committing to a full price pour of wine. The gentleman working was eager, helpful, and knowledgeable. This would be a fun place for a date- there was plenty of food on the menu but I wasn't hungry so I skipped over that part and will try it next time!

Yelp
While I got complimentary $5 credit to try $1 / 1 oz (so 5 oz pours of different wines), the wine was so good that I opted to purchase more credits. I got to try a variety of wines all around the world with different variations including orange wine. I love that they mention the notes and what food pairs best with the wine. There is ample seating so I can see that there won't be much wait if at all stopping by at any hour they are open. Was a 4 star experience but 5 stars since they remedied the issue. I was initially overcharged to $10 when I only had 8 oz of wine but they were all $1 so they gladly adjusted the price. Note that today only (August 5) there were select wines at $1 for 1 oz and the regular price is $2-4 for 1 oz. But given the market price, that is still a fair price and I can see myself coming back paying regular pricing to bring friends along. It would be excellent if they do happy hours of $1 select wines and I will be hooked to be a repeat customer easily!

Yelp
Found this place while exploring the streets of Seattle and am so glad we stopped in! A very unique concept with wine dispensers so that you can try as many wines as you'd like with a card that adds to your tab. My friends loved the wine - I personally had an amazing Aperol spritz and the best veggie crunch sandwich. The bread was incredible and the veggies were all crisp and fresh. I would go back just for the sandwich!! Our waitress was so sweet and worked so hard to make everything perfect for us. It was a quiet afternoon so we were one of two parties in the shop. Great find!

Yelp
We first visited Nomadic on Friday evening with some friends. Great time with wine tastings and food sharing! Today, we checked out their lunch offerings. The charred broccoli sandwich was delicious! It looked huge when it first came but I devoured it! Service is friendly and knowledgeable about wine. The remodel since they took over from their predecessor looks great!

Yelp
We got complimentary $5 credit to try out the different wine options and loved how convenient the self pour is and variety of options they had with cute little fun facts added. You can find discounted $1 for 1 ounce pour! Great service and ambiance. They were very attentive. Food options here are alright - could be better to pair it with the wine. We ordered crispy tofu bites but it lacked flavor and wasn't crispy at all.

Yelp
I think the concept of tasting diff wines is fine but I dont think its a good concept to have one little mini champagne as the only option, which was not delicious. And the food has got to improve. The beet salad was terrible. It had chowmen on the side with avocado slices. It doesnt make any sense. Focacia was sort of stiff. They were out of one of the two pasta choices. I think this place would be great for purely happy hour to have couple glasses of wine.

Yelp
What an awesome self serve wine tasting room! The staff was friendly and provided easy instructions in how to use the card to dispense your own wine. There were so many stations to choose from. My fav were the rotating dry whites at the daily drinkers and featured whites section: sauv blanc from napa. As for food, the mortadella sandwich and kale caesar were delicious. Def coming back to try other items on the food menu.

Yelp
Nomadic Wine Dispensary is my new happy place. Yeah, there are a ton of wines (it's a wine place). Over 80 bottles to pick from, all at different price points, so you can go fancy or just try something new without feeling like you're gambling your rent money. I didn't like one of the wines I tried but got a small pour for cheap so wasn't upset. Honestly, the real surprise here was the food. The small plates are ridiculously good. The house-made schiacciata bread is the real deal. No regrets. The space is super open, which makes it awesome for groups or parties, but they've somehow made it feel cozy and cool at the same time. It used to feel kind of sterile in its old wine bar life--now it's got this fun, laid-back vibe that makes you want to camp out and overstay your welcome. Definitely coming back. With friends...and stretchy pants.

Yelp
So let me tell you a story. I came here after reading the site. This is a new spot and not everything is worked out, when the expectation about the wine service didn't match up to what was offered on the website, well after driving 50 minutes I was upset. Bonnie the owner must be a mind reader cause not only did she make everything right. She took the time to help me reset my evening after my expectations were left wanting. She fixed the issue. Spent time. And cared. The food is awesome. The wine selection for only 80 bottles is well curated. The atmosphere is lively and with properly understood expectations I will be coming back. Which is about the most I can say about any spot in Seattle that isn't specifically Asian influenced at this point. Well done Nomadic. Well done.

Nate G.

Yelp
Awesome spot! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They took us around and explained all the different wines they had on tap. I couldn't decide what wines to try so they provided me recommendations based on what I like to drink. Also can't beat the $12 charcuterie board special they had

Yelp
Came here on Saturday night with a bunch of girlfriend's friends for book club! Very comfortable and stylish venue, and loved the pour your own wine set up. I had two cocktails which were great, and everyone enjoyed the food. Will definitely return!

Yelp
LOVE THOMAS! Amazing atmosphere and he did a great job showing/explaining new wines to us. Great experience!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed myself. I went on a Friday night. It was fun tasting and comparing wines with my friends (it would be an awesome first-date activity). Large variety of wines. Lots of white and red wine to explore. The food looked gourmet. I went back two evenings later with a friend and had a roast broccoli sandwich which was great (and more wine tasting). My friend had the ham and manchego sandwich. I would even go back for lunch just to have the food. They also have a beer tasting room with a large selection to taste. Reasonable prices. Large inside space and large patio. Staff were friendly and helpful. My new favorite place in Seattle.

Yelp
Fantastic wines, delicious tapas, lovely ambience, friendly servers. Since you can choose how much of a pour you want, you can enjoy a self-created flight or match a half-glass to each course you're eating. The description above each wine is informative and helpful. The servers are knowledgeable, too, if you want advice.

Mary Ellen O.

Yelp
We love the self-serve concept here - it's an easy way to taste and learn about a variety of wines in an approachable environment. There's something for everyone; they've curated a broad assortment from everyday to rare finds. Check out the "flight" concept where you can compare new world vs old world varietals. The updated ambiance is cozy and inviting. This was a great place to hang out and enjoy the food. Shout out to vegetarian friendly tapas (carrots and cauliflower were A+). Both desserts were amazing, but the crowd favorite was the toffee pudding. We'll be back!
