Where To Eat Outside In Fort Worth

"Nonna Tata is a small trattoria that’s BYOB, and arguably the best Italian spot in town. This tiny restaurant has doubled its capacity by adding a cute side patio, complete with mismatched chairs and bistro tables. It’s the perfect place for a second date, and even if you end up running out of things to talk about, Magnolia Avenue provides some epic people-watching under the year-round lighted trees. Impress your date by ordering the best from the menu: the chicken Milanese, gnocchi di ricotta, or chicken piccata are the way to go." - emily smith

I visited Nonna Tata after a friend recommended it, and while I had high hopes, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The restaurant is small and cozy, and I believe the concept is to make the food feel like something a mom or grandma would cook—simple, comforting, homemade. While that’s a lovely idea, the execution left something to be desired. The biggest issue was the flies. There were several flying around during the meal, which was off-putting and raised some concerns about cleanliness. It definitely took away from the experience. As for the food itself, the salad was fresh and enjoyable. The gnocchi and other pasta dishes were just okay—nothing memorable. The only item I truly enjoyed was the tiramisu, which was creamy and flavorful. I really wanted to like this place, especially because of the personal recommendation, but the hygiene issues and average food made it a one-time visit for me.

Google
Good homestyle Italian food. We dined at a patio table, it was a little rainy but not enough wind to bother us. The service was great. Its a cash only business mind you, and you can bring your own wine with a corking fee. I will come again and try something else, the Pollo al Limone was not amazing, but still enjoyable. Loved the house balsamic dressing and Arrabiata (penne+red sauce) Focaccia was fluffy, bruschetta was great, seared calimari was interesting

I visited Saturday and have been thinking about it ever since. I could write about 5 paragraphs on how much I enjoyed my experience. Tips: Cash only* There's only about 4 tables inside, but the covered patio was quite pleasant on a 98° afternoon* bring wine, they will charge you $3 for a wine glass and they provide a corkscrew

Google
We absolutely love coming up to this adorable spot for celebrations, especially. We love the fact that we can bring our favorite wine and the pasta dishes never disappoint. Make sure to plan ahead with cash and no reservations but we have never had trouble getting in. Would definitely recommend the gnocchi 🤍

Google
This place is a whole experience. First off, they only take cash or euros—which is both wildly inconvenient and kind of hilarious. Definitely not your typical modern restaurant setup. It’s tiny, unassuming, and super casual, with mismatched tables and chairs that look like they’ve been collected over time. Extra seating is in a plastic-covered patio, which doesn’t exactly scream “fine dining.” So, when I found out you need a reservation and it fills up fast, I was seriously confused—was this place secretly fancy? Spoiler: it’s the complete opposite. But the food? Incredible. The kind of Italian that makes you forget everything else. Most Italian places serve up sauces that taste pretty similar, but here, every bite felt fresh, unique, and straight out of an Italian kitchen—like they either make their sauces from actual tomatoes and fresh ingredients (which is no small feat) or they’re importing them straight from Italy. Either way, it was next-level good. My only complaint? Almost everything on the menu has pork in some form, so ordering without modifications is tricky. But if you love authentic, no-frills Italian food, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. Just bring cash. Or, you know, euros.

Google
I wanted to love this more and it was very good, maybe I just had strangely high expectations. Extremely tiny restaurant. 5 indoor tables total. We arrived 10 or 15 minutes before opening and we're still 4th in line to be seated. Calamari was good, but it was unusual to not be breaded, but tasted okay. Goat cheese salad was absolutely delicious. Carbonara was authentic (no cream, only eggs) and was way too much to finish. The feel is like something in Tuscany or Sicily, but the taste is a little more American-ish. Reminder, this place is BYOB (plus $3 per glass) and cash only.

Google
This place is amazing! "A little bit of Italy" tucked away on 6th Avenue and Magnolia. This pink treasure on the corner is cozy and serves up some of the best Italian Comfort food.

Bryce Dennis

Google
Can only speak to the carbonara. Dish was alright. Good amounts of pancetta and cooked well. Big problem was in the sauce they used pre-powdered pecorino which does not melt. This leads to the sauce having a severely grainy texture and is unpleasant to eat. Dish was also slightly too salty. Would consider giving this place another go but would not order the carbonara.

Yelp
We threw a lot of the food away. It tasted that bad! The bread like items were horrific!! I understand a lot of people appreciate this food but I grew up eating real Italian! This food was extremely disappointing!

Yelp
Literally AMAZING!! Cash only so bring cash but such a cozy vibe and the food was absolutely incredible!! The service was so quick and so nice and gave great recommendations, also the food is super reasonably priced and I love that you can bring your own wine. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this establishment on 06/22/24, and we will definitely be back. I was on a mission to find authentic Lasagne All Bolognese, so my husband told me about this place. I ordered the Lasagne with a Caesar salad, and my husband ordered the Vitello Ai Funghi, and for dessert, we had the Panna Cotta. The food here is really fresh and delicious. The noodles were homemade and light. The restaurant is tiny but adorable on the inside, seating no more than 20 people. With larger tables and seating outside. I would recommend coming in before they open or after dark hours during the summertime. Our waitress was great. She was kind and would answer any question with a smile. If you are looking for amazing authentic Italian food, look no further!!

Yelp
My son and I were so excited to visit this place. I enjoy the small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants. However, I was very disappointed in the food. The server was very kind. She did comp my food. But, when it said Italian, I expected that. However, it was far from that. The Calamari was soggy... it was supposed to be seared. The pasta tasted like they just poured a jar of ragu sauce in and called it a day. The chicken was slimy and again, looked like a jar of Alfredo was poured. My son ordered the carbonara. He told me afterwards that my knock-off bacon pasta is way better. This was supposed to be a good dinner with my son, but we ended up walking away disappointed.

Yelp
Don't let the cash/check only policy and the 6 indoor dining tables discourage you from trying this place out. Not going to lie, I was pretty skeptical about the merits of this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Everything was delicious and well cooked. They make a mean calamari that is tender and not over cooked at all. It's different from the calamari you would usually expect at Italian restaurants since it's not fried... nonetheless, it was so tasty. The pasta was boiled to perfection. I had no complaints about the food whatsoever. I had a wonderful experience asides from the 1 hour wait (so come early) :) PSA: They are BYOB!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food (appetizers and pastas), cosy atmosphere, BYOB. Will return for the authentic food and unique experience.
google avatar

Steven F.

Yelp
Love this place and the food and atmosphere. Save room for apple Pear cake! Bar next door for beers or drinks while you wait.

Curtis P.

Yelp
Great food, calamari is a must! Restaurant is very small and cash only, so plan accordingly. Also BYOB
google avatar

Jaime J.

Yelp
To start off, this place is cash or check only but don't let that keep you from visiting. It's worth stopping somewhere to grab cash beforehand. It's also BYOB and to save a few dollars ($3/glass), bring your own wine glass if you're bringing something that's not bottled. The experience is great if your goal is to have a dinner that tastes amazing but this is not somewhere you come and have a romantic dinner for a date night. The bruschetta was a small portion and I'm not the biggest fan of balsamic but every bite was memorable. The Caesar salad and Pollo Alla Milanese entree were a good size and the dishwasher didn't have to clean much cause I licked the plates clean. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her lentil soup and gnocchi. The service was good but not very fast. Overall, I'm happy that I didn't listen to the negative reviews here on Yelp and got to experience this place.

Yelp
Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was restorative. Nonna Tata is the physical manifestation of the way to someone's heart is through their stomach.

Yelp
Pretty good service although they were beyond packed. We went in the Fall on one of the cool nights in November and sat on the patio. The patio is enclosed and warm. I didn't realize they were byob otherwise we would've brought our own wine, next time. The food was good, but the tiramisu was better. I also tried the panna cotta because why not? I'd go back on a less busy day, if those exist, and try something different on the menu, it was otherwise an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
The food is phenomenally authentic!! I was absolutely impressed with all of the amazing flavors! Irene our server was awesome & attentive! She's been there for 9 years which says a lot nowadays! She made good recommendations! She was extremely sweet. The location is a small hole in the wall with outdoor seating & covered patio areas as well! It was cozy, welcoming & warm! It was quite chilly outside! I'm part Sicilian & had a daddy who cooked delicious authentic Italian food. This place is an absolute GEM !! They have homemade pasta & everything is made to order & fresh. This is my new go to for authentic Italian food! Il cibo è molto buono

Ali N.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place after hearing great things! Our experience was just okay. The waitress seemed rushed and wasn't very helpful when we asked for recommendations. The food was decent but nothing special. However, the tiramisu was absolutely AMAZING! Glad we finally tried it, but for nearly $100 for two people, it wasn't worth a return visit.

Erin V.

Yelp
This place was wonderful!!!! The food was absolutely delicious and I love how relaxed the place was. The three dishes we got were the pesto with chicken added, carbonara, and pappardelle alla zucca which was one of their seasonal specials. All three dishes were amazing, a great price, and a good portion size. I will be coming back here!

Yelp
This literal "whole in the wall" authentic Italian restaurant is in the heart of Near Southside Ft Worth with a multitude of other shops, restaurants, bars and music near by. The indoor seating can seat 20 people (no typo) but the outdoor seating is a good amount. The large outdoor space is enclosed with thick plastic walls that can be opened or closed, depending on the weather. We have sat outside in both warm and cool weather and was fine. We have not sat outside during excessive Texas heat. I believe they had heat in the outdoor space but no AC -- could double check, this could have changed. They also have sidewalk seating that is awesome in the great spring & fall Texas evenings. This CASH OR CHECK ONLY, dinner only served & BYOB. The couple next to us grabbed drinks from the bar next door and brought them over, which I had no idea they did that. There is also a liquor store just up the road on the opposite side of the street that you could hit before coming. They do charge $3/glass or bring our own for no fee. They do NOT take reservations over the phone and we have never been when there wasn't a wait (even before they open there is a line to get in). The food is very good with daily specials. In the pictures is appetizer mascarpone with home made pear & fig preserves, bread cabbage soup (soup of the day), lamb ragú (daily special) & flatbread (daily special) with mushrooms, arugula, shave Parmesan and balsamic. All were very good, the soup was amazing. The only complaint was the flatbread was barely warm and the balsamic was on the bread so it was getting soggy by the time it got to me. My error is I assumed the flatbread would have some crispness to it since that is how other flatbread pizzas I have had were served. After 1 piece it was cold and getting more soggy. The flavor was good (added red pepper flakes) & the ingredients were abundant. This was listed as an appetizer, so it was definitely shareable. The service is quick & friendly and food has always come out pretty quickly. We have & will continue to recommend Nonna Tata.

Yelp
*Cash/ Check ONLY here* Upon entering....If I had been walking any faster, I would have run into the kitchen bc there were a few tiny tables to sit at inside (most of the seating is outside/ thrown up on the curb). We started with the bruschetta....our mouths were assaulted by the deep and overpowering taste of vinegar....so we set it aside. It was the worst bruschetta I've ever had in my entire existence. We ordered the gamberi w. homemade pasta and the carbonara. The gamberi was......ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! All that I could taste was chicken bullion/ bullion cubes and it was unbelievably salty...so I pushed my plate of nonsense....overhyped NONSENSE to the side. The carbonara was dry and tasted like......NOTHING. We got everything packed up to be nice and placed the food where it belonged.....in the trash. I don't enjoy writing reviews like this, but this was our reality. It got SUPER REAL having to hand over hard-earned money for this gutter meal. We were asked if we wanted to order dessert and stopped while we were ahead. We went to enjoy dinner after this place (round II). You all can have this place. LOL My GOSH!

Yelp
Such a unique concept with high quality authentic food! We went on a weekday so it wasn't too much of a wait but it is smaller so I would come right at opening since so many people love this place! Our server was extremely kind and patient with us; she really took time to help us order and was really attentive to what we needed. We loved everything we ordered! Especially the truffle dish and the focaccia. It was a perfect birthday dinner for my mom and a beautifully decorated restaurant. We've been once a long time ago before this and will likely be back for another occasion!

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic food, service was great, and I can't wait to utilize the patio as the weather cools down. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Amazing small Italian restaurant on Magnolia in Fort Worth just 5 min south of downtown Fort Worth. It feels very intimate. Everything is made from scratch. I observed them in the kitchen. FYI its BYOB!
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
I am gluten free and got the calamari and the gf carbonara and let me tell you, it was delicious. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Sabra B.

Yelp
Like a lot of things in DFW- claims to be "authentic xyz" then is mediocre at best. The pasta is not homemade, and the pancetta was burnt. The carbonara was not salvageable even with doctoring up. Maybe it was a bad night because it was busy so clearly it's popular. The focaccia was good though.
google avatar

Grace R.

Yelp
such good pasta, but the consistency wasn't there. I've been some times and it's insane and other times wishing for better on the food front. The ambiance is okay not much to see and def more of a whole in the wall vibe when it comes to the ambiance. Service was good overall.

Clarissa D.

Yelp
Hole in the wall that delivered in service and in taste only cash though I loved the pink back room they had too the chandelier was a nice touch and it wasn't cold like I thought
google avatar

Yelp
Nonna Tata remains a favorite. Great pasta, affordable prices, from the owner's traditional family recipes from (Northern) Italy. Now that seating has expanded to the outside tent and to the sidewalk, it is so much easier to get a table at this restaurant. Most recently I had the pasta with lamb sausage - bursting with flavors. Penne Pasta cooked al dente-perfectly. The focaccia is always delicious - oily and salty. Sid salad comes with it. My friend had the tenderloin and arugula -- tender and juicy. Servers are attentive and prompt. No liquor license, so be sure to bring a nice bottle of Italian wine to pair with your meal. She has started charging $3 per glass (for washing and breakage), but what a bargain compared to most places that gouge you for a much higher corkage fee. Cash only. Grazie.
google avatar

Barb C.

Yelp
WOW! Marie was a fantastic waitress. The food was so fresh and so original. I had chicken, my husband had shrimp and pasta- we shared a portobello mushroom appetizer. The best surprise was the head chef, Kelly, brought us Lemon cellos for dessert. We highly recommend it !!
google avatar

Blake S.

Yelp
Nonna Tata stands out as a neighborhood favorite with its cozy ambiance and genuine Italian flavors. The carefully crafted menu showcases an array of delightful pasta dishes that never disappoint. What makes it even more appealing is the BYOB policy, allowing patrons to bring their favorite bottle of wine to complement the meal. The staff's warm hospitality completes the experience, making Nonna Tata a must-visit for those craving an authentic Italian dining experience. What we had: Bruschetta Caesar Salad Calamari Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca Spanish Lemon Pasta
google avatar

Caitlyn B.

Yelp
Small but cozy. Only takes cash or check. Very good food. We are staying in Grand Prairie and it was a nice place to get out of the area for.
google avatar

Brenna H.

Yelp
Tips for Nonna. There is a lot more tables now. So the wait likely won't be as long as it was prior as long as you don't mind sitting outside. It's BYOB. Bring a bottle of wine or some beer. The veal is FANTASTIC. Service is great and don't forget it is CASH ONLY. You will enjoy this place. Excellent date night spot.

Monika V.

Yelp
Very tasty food and great prices! The chicken cutlet was perfectly thin and crisp but the spicy tomato sauce lacked flavor. The lemon spinach shrimp pasta was very delicious and had great flavor while still being light. Cute patio, good service, and love the BYOB.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
10/10 place for food, atmosphere, and service! If it's a pretty evening, sit outside. Seriously, every single thing we ordered was amazing, and we ordered a lot. Several appetizers, entrees, and desserts. You can't go wrong!! BYOB!
google avatar

Misela H.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite spots in Fort Worth! The only downfall I have is that it's not open more hours because I'd love to go more often! Amazing service, delicious food, byob (will charge for wine glass, feel free to bring your own) and nice atmosphere. I have never had any issues here and it's such a great spot and I always recommend it to my friends and family. It is cash only so come prepared!!
google avatar

Kendall H.

Yelp
Nonna Tata is an Italian gem in Fort Worth that is BYOB. This cozy spot fills up fast, so get your name on the list as early as you can. While you wait, check out The Usual next door for a cocktail or two. My husband and I went here for a romantic anniversary dinner and it was perfect. Bring your own wine, bottle opener, and glasses to pair with the amazing food. We got two apps, entrees, and desserts - all amazing. My mushroom truffle pasta was to die for! I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Nathan H.

Yelp
The food and service here were phenomenal. Would highly recommend. Love the ambiance inside. Would recommend getting there early as there is limited seating inside.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
This is my friends and I's restaurant of choice when we are celebrating anything! The food is unmatched and the experience is phenomenal! If you are in Fort Worth you need to give this restaurant a try!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Very good service with a friendly staff Want it simple and professional ? This is the place!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Not so vegan friendly. There weren't very many choices from me to pick from. I just got plain pasta with marinara sauce. The location was tiny and packed. I think they wanted it to look like an authentic Italian dining room, but to me it just felt old and in need of sprucing up. At least it was a fun time with friends.
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try this little gem for a while... and WOW, it did not disappoint! Small, intimate, and casual atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. And the food is to die for... super fresh, great menu, and the tiramisu is a must! BYOB, cash or check only... can't wait to go back! Fantastic!
google avatar

Maram M.

Yelp
Nonna Tata Finally made it into this gem!!!! So weekdays are the days to go in!! Even though they have finally expanded their outdoor seating I just loved the indoor better, it felt like Italy a little hole in the wall place, dim and smells of wonderful aromas out of the kitchen!!! We ordered the house specialty for the month of some wild mushroom thick amazing pasta all fresh with this rich amazing sauce my God it was so good!!! We also ordered the Spanish lemon pasta with cheese I basically ate the whole thing its just perfect!!!! Everything was amazing, thank you for an amazing experiance! You will definatly see me again!!!!
google avatar

Kellie B.

Yelp
Great service and that's why the stars. This falls in the almost but not there category. Good starts with good ingredients and that may be one of the issues. This part of the country tends to have a palet that will make allowances for those who go cheap on what goes into the pan. The neighborhood loves it and so down the lazy river it goes. Don't get me wrong. I've seen good ingredients be destroyed by lackluster poorly trained chefs. I'm not on the backside so I can't be sure. 30 minutes of watching the kitchen would fill in the missing pieces. It was not bad it was just not great and I cannot pretend otherwise. Where that it not so. Good Italian is not hard to execute yet NTX is left wanting. There are plenty who put on airs tho, and prices to fool the masses.
google avatar

Andrew V.

Yelp
I don't care where you live in the DFW area, but you must make this place a priority in your life. Imagine a little restaurant lead by an Italian mom, that specializes in giving you the true experience. That means you will not find Fettuccine Alfredo on the menu, you must come prepared for a new experience if you've never had anything like this before. Even ordering a lasagna here is going to be unlike anything you've had. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Also a few things to keep in mind: It's cash or Euros only Seating is limited, and there can be a long wait
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
People who have made fresh pastas and gnocchis would understand that it is a labor intensive endeavor, and I am perfectly fine with paying $20+ for a great dish made with care because I can't be bothered to do all the work for a weekday dinner. The grilled calamari with pesto is by far one of their most outstanding, flavorful dish that can be scooped up with the devine rosemary focaccia. The ricotta gnocchi was baked and covered with a rich, tomato sauce (no seeds!). This could have a been lighter and fluffier, but I devoured the whole plate regardless. It's byob and they charge $3 or each glass. Cash, checks or Euros only. There's mosquitos outside by the hisbiscus plants, and they provide insect repellent.

Manny C.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a very long time and never had the opportunity we had dinner the other day and I am sorry to say I was very disappointed I don't like writing negative reviews but the food was not good. We had the worst bruschetta ever the calamari wasn't good . My carbonara was so salty it was difficult to eat

Tish T.

Yelp
Food -5 Service - 5 Ambiance- 5 This food is indescribably magically DELICIOUS!!!! If I had the option to give the food 10 stars, I would!!! The roasted red pepper soup???? I could lick the bowl!
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to eat Italian food. I love her story she learned to cook in Italy and we are lucky enough to have real Italian food here on a corner in Ft Worth! I try to go as often as I can! They now have outside seating and that is wonderful! Excellent customer service and be patient and order the wine because all of this is cooked from scratch!

Yelp
We snagged a highly coveted table (indoors) at Nonna Tata last night. Let's be honest; limited capacity is part of the charm here. Throughout the duration of our meal, other prospective dinners cycled in and out of the tiny space to be told there's an hour+ wait. Those of us already placed at a table were able to feel like we had secured our golden ticket to a fine meal. Embrace it. Nonna Tata is a night out and the wait is part of the game. Start by dropping in and putting your name on the list. If the wait is 45 min+ (it usually is), then wander a half block down to the Usual, Grand Cru, or the bar at Cat City Grill for a drink while you wait for your phone call (pay up-front for your drinks, so you can move quickly when the call comes). Do it this way and you'll roll happily back to your car after dining, feeling like you've had a full evening, not just dinner. A meal at Nonna Tata's is an experience best compared to being invited to family dinner at your Italian Grandmother's house. Furnishings are eclectic. It's going to be crowded, and you'll bump shoulders with other dinners. There's an organized panic to the tireless waitstaff. While the restaurant oozes a unique charm, this is not table-linens and candles kind of Italian. If you want elegant, book a table at Ellerbees or Lilly's, down the road, not here. There is in fact an Italian grandmother cooking in the back. She looks intently busy, if you get a glimpse of her through the open kitchen door. She's producing your meal in a remarkably tiny kitchen, working with a chorus of helpers who look to be very efficient. Her food is very, very good. My personal favorite part is the focaccia- homemade, of course- and the (disappointingly small , you'll want more) pretty little side salad with the best - homemade, of course - balsamic dressing in Texas. You'll find plenty of delicious options on the menu for main course. Fluffy gnocchi, tasty Cornish hen, monumental lasagna, etc. Wash it down with your own bottle of wine (you did remember to pick up a chilled wine when you were at Grand Cru, right? Or you brought a favorite from home?) Dessert - only if you can still manage another bite - we usually can't. When you're ready to check out, cash only, folks; does your grandmother take credit cards? This one doesn't either. After dinning, leave the glow of this tiny gem behind and meander back to your car slowly , go home, go to bed and sleep soundly. You've had a good night.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
The food was fabulous! Homemade flavor and excellent service. Bring your own wine and they will provide glasses for $3. Cash only so make sure to bring cash. Would highly recommend.

Jack B.

Yelp
I think this is more personal but the issue with most Italian places in dfw is that you often go "I can make something as good or better at home". This is one of those places
google avatar

Stephen S.

Yelp
Great food small place but worth the drive to Fort Worth byob cash only but agin it's worth it hit the atm and go get some outstanding Italian cuisine.

Yelp
I've never been to Italy or had authentic Italian food (unless Olive Garden and Kenny's count lol), but I'm pretty sure this is as close as you can get to having a homemade Italian meal here in DFW. I have this place bookmarked for probably over 2 years, keep coming to this area too, but never thought about paying it a visit. Until one day when it took us over 15 minutes to figure out a place for lunch (I usually always have 2-3 places in mind at any given moment lol, so 15minutes is a long time for us to figure out where to eat), where we have not been to yet in the area. My significant other suggested this place and Nonna Tata it was for lunch! It's a super small restaurant, with about 3-4 tables inside that can fit maybe 12-15 people comfortably, anymore than that and you'd be elbowing each other. The outside doesn't look appealing much, except for their super cute patio with another 4-5 more tables. I don't believe they take reservation unless it's a big party. When we arrived, there was no one else in the restaurant, turned out, the time listed on yelp was wrong. They were supposed to close just a few minutes before we got there, but the gentleman running the restaurant was super nice and accommodating. Not only did he not turn us away, he was more than happy to attend to us. For appetizer, we went with the calamari. If I see calamari on the menu at an "Italian" restaurant, it's almost an automatic thing for me to get. Without even reading the description, I expected it to be deep fried, greasy, with some marinara sauce on the side. Their calamari appetizer here is FAR from that! It's more of a stir fried version, comes with some arugula. I'm not sure how they make the sauce, but it was freaking delicious! I wanted to clean the plate with all the bread it came with. Honestly, I could eat 2-3 plates of this only and be happy here! For entrees, he got the pollo al limone and I got myself the limone e spinaci. Forget about all the salt loaded dishes from Olive Garden (I feel so wrong comparing this place to OG lol), their pasta dishes here are so simple, but everything tasted fresh, cooked just right, not greasy or heavy like most places. So many people mentioned the torta ciotola/apple-pear cake. I was excited to try it, unfortunately, they ran out. We settled for the panna cotta instead. It must have been the biggest panna cotta I've ever had. It was smooth, not overly sweet, and come with homemade strawberry sauce on top too. This place seems very underrated. Don't let the look outside and inside deter you. It's a must check out place if you live in DFW!
