13 Diners in Las Vegas for Heaping Plates of Bacon and Eggs | Eater Vegas

"Home to some of the best Benedicts in town, this old school diner is about as low-key as it gets. Open at 7 a.m., start with a crab cake Benedict, a chicken spinach frittata, or loco moco. And early birds get a 50% discount on weekdays during the summer months." - Janna Karel

The best pot roast dishes in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

"The locally loved Norm’s Diner offers a classic diner experience with vintage-seeming price points. The pot roast here is just $8.99 and is served with thick gravy, mashed potatoes plus roasted carrots, celery, and onions." - Krista Diamond

First time Sunday brunch experience went very well. We could get seated comfortably and place was busy. We started off with Bloody Mary, Hot chocolate without the whipped cream , Peach Mimosa and water. Took a bit to get attention for order but once in place service was great afterwards. We had the veggie hash, Huevo Rancheros, Chicken Fried steak, Fish and Chips. The eggs ordered included poached, sunny side and eggs over easy.. all came out well. Norman walks around and checks in with regulars.. Nice touch.. very reasonably priced. Recommended local diner.

Google
This diner was absolutely fantastic. My family of 5 was seated very quickly on a Thursday morning and it was not too packed. Our food came out very fast and our server was very attentive and kind. We ordered a French toast combo, eggs Benedict, eggs combo, the chilaquiles, and a kids meal (which was free! Check the times). Very homey, clean place to visit.

Marc Albert

Google
We tried their corned beef hash and their eggs Benedict. Both were completely average. The meals had no special seasoning nor were they prepared or presented in special way. They claim their eggs Benedict is the best you'll ever have. I just don't see that. I ordered my eggs over easy. One of them was broken and completely fried. How hard is it to see that and give me what I asked for. While we were there no one offered to refill our coffee or check up on us at all. Often when a well rated place disappoints we'll go back and try again. I don't see us doing that here.

Eric Crocco

Google
Ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The meat was chewy and inedible. Gravy was bland. The potatoes were crispy and cooked perfectly but nothing on my plate was seasoned. Everything was tasteless. A little seasoning goes a long way.

Google
Has potential but missed the mark. The minute a canned soft drink is set in front of me the vibe is lost. Everyone prefers a cold sparkling drink from the fountain. Part of the service you pay for includes a cheerful server offering refills. In Vegas where there are so many restaurants, something seemingly as trivial as this could make a real difference. I hope the restaurant succeeds. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food, okay. But for me, there's a place very close that does it just a smidge better.

Google
One of Las Vegas West Side's hidden gems. I have been here several times and the food is five star! Their claim to fame is the Eggs Benedict, and I agree. I get that almost every time I go, but I also love the pancakes and huevos rancheros. Their food and service are some of the best in the valley. Next time I go I'll try the steak and eggs because it looks so good. Ask to eat on the patio under the canopy next to the fruit trees. That's my fav! Thank you everyone at Norm's. We love your place!!!

Google
I absolutely loved this place. The FOOD was very Delicious! It's a great place to visit. This will definitely be my go to Breakfast spot from now on. Do you yourself a favor and go to NORMANS!

Google
The original in vegas. Best Breakfast 🍳 Been coming here forever. Great service. Clean establishment. Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
My go to comfort restaurant! Feels like a comfy family members house to get some grits and a great omelet. I take people and they always love the food. I love the music inside .....nostalgic

Yelp
We've been coming here for 3 years straight and truly can say we NEVER have regretted it.. this place is delicious!! The customer service is excellent! It's been the same people working here for the past few years. Restaurant is always relaxing with old time music and clean environment. And lastly the prices are a no brainer!!! The quality is very consistent as well! If you're looking for an enjoyable meal and a satisfying ending then this is your spot!

Yelp
Loved this spot. Came for breakfast/lunch and everything was just awesome. It has this small town feel on the inside and the staff is so so friendly. Service was top notch and our server made me the best iced vanilla latte I've ever had. For a small spot they use great coffee and have a nice coffee machine as well. I had the Elvis Chopped Steak and my girl had the eggs Benedict. Both were spectacular and had great flavor. I highly recommend this spot and plan on returning soon. I also recommend their house made hot sauce, we picked up a bottle of the red to bring home.

Yelp
My husband and I have visited twice, first for breakfast 7:15am,don't remember what my husband had, but I know he enjoyed it, I hadn't had Chilaquiles in a long time so I ordered that, very very good even had leftovers, had them for lunch (still delish), next we went for lunch(few days later, we ate on patio because we were accompanied by our twins (pups) my husband ordered a cheese burger with extra patty, yikes it was huge he enjoyed the whole burger and fries, I ordered Liver and Onions OMG, SO DELICIOUS a large tender piece with lots of carmelized onions and delicious mashed potatoes and crunchy green beans (I let the twins have a taste of liver they agreed, mom it was delicious) no leftovers this time, I ate the whole meal !! We recommend this little gem, and if you have pets the patio is comfy and well shaded. So treat yourselves and enjoy

Yelp
I ordered what is advertised as the best eggs Benedict in town. It was far from it. The poached eggs were over cooked. The sauce was just ok. I ordered a side of sourdough toast. It came dry. When I went to pay my $25 bill, all I had was a $100 bill. The waitress said they cannot take it. Only $20 bills or lower. It was just ok. Probably will not come back.

Yelp
As we were heading to .. another place.. for breakfast, we spotted this tucked away in small shopping center. We decided to turn around and give it a try. Being from the Midwest, we miss our small town hangouts and 'go to' places for breakfast. Norman's did NOT disappoint! We were relaxing in the great music of the 60s-80s and videos on the TV to correspond. It was nice and warm, not hot, and not cold. We started off with some hot tea and coffee. My wife said the coffee was unique and better than any she'd been served at other places. I ordered hot tea, and while it was hot, it was just plain old Lipton tea... It would be nice to have other options. Then came the food. My wife was torn between the Lox platter, Lox omelet, but ultimately chose the Chilaquiles. I'm not all sure what's in that dish, but you can see from the pictures, it looks good. She finished her plate, which we never do. I am a fan of eggs Benedict, but also appreciate a good country fried steak. I would judge any place by either. I ended up ordering the crab cake Benedict. This was not a mistake. The crab cake looked and tasted fresh made, it was flaky, and didn't stay together like an artificial hockey puck served at most places. The presentation was amazing, the English muffin was crispy on the edges, which is a nice change from a raw muffin being thrown on to get soggy. It came with a requested side of crispy hash browns, and they were perfect. My wife also enjoyed a 5.00 strawberry mimosa, which she enjoyed very much. They also had mango, and some other flavors that I can't recall off the top of my head. In summary, the service was excellent, the menu is diverse, the food quality was absolutely spot on. The food prices are much less than the other breakfast places, which are getting cheap in quality, and raising prices beyond reasonable. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Juliet P.

Yelp
On the upside, the service was friendly & efficient. I think it may be a family-owned & operated place, so that is great. I didn't like the food and would not return. The coffee is Lavazza - a good brand, but I don't like dark roast. I want typical American diner coffee! If you like dark roast - you will love it. I asked for eggs scrambled easy - they were not. So many places can't do eggs very well! My brother's breakfast sandwich - he asked for scrambled eggs, no cheese and to add turkey sausage. It arrived with cheese and no turkey sausage. We nicely sent it back, and the next time, it came back without cheese, and with turkey sausage, but this time, Over Medium. We weren't gonna send it back again - so he ate it. I wish them well - but I wouldn't recommend it.

Yelp
2 eggs bacon toast with THE BEST HOME POTATOES you can get at any breakfast joint!! Super good eggs, fresh and made to perfection! The coffee is strong and bold and they use real half and half! Cutest patio with amazing view of the strip!! Very good menu selection. Staff very friendly and accommodating with great attitude. Will definitely return for more of those potatoes!!!

Jeanie D.

Yelp
What a wonderful little hidden gem! Came for breakfast and had the chicken fried steak, eggs and hashbrowns - all cooked to perfection. It also came with a piping hot fresh biscuit. The staff was friendly too. I'll be back!

Yelp
Friendly staff . Good food . I ordered the loco moco . The gravy was soooo goood and the meat ! Perfection . Would come back for it . Design / ambiance ..umm.. could use some help . But it's giving a homey vibe . Instead of a commercialized vibe .

rosa m.

Yelp
I go every Sunday without fail. This place is a gem!!! My hubby loves loves loves the locks platter! I love the meatless items.

Yelp
The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. I like a traditional American breakfast on the weekends and I like to take my dog with me whenever possible. Norms has a dog friendly patio and the food is always cooked to order and comes out in a timely manner. The staff is really efficient and friendly. Stop by if you're in the area.

Yelp
Nice little place and the food is really good here. It's a breakfast & lunch spot but they do have dinner options.the eggs Benedict are truly delicious and some of the best in town. My wife had the steak Benedict and she loved it. Great pancakes, soft and fluffy. Spinach frittata- on point, I got mine a little more well done. They do have wine and beer. Good Bloody Mary I'm told. U must try.
google avatar

Chanelle V.

Yelp
The absolute best breakfast sandwich in town. I don't usually like plain bagels but the way they grill it makes it extra tasty. Not only is the food good but Norm is always pleasant and happy to interact with.
google avatar

Sergio A.

Yelp
Great place, great food, great people. The eggs Benedict's are the best in town. Norm the owner will go out of his way to cook you a specialty. The lamb chops that weren't even on the menu were the best I have ever had. The patio area overlooks the strip which adds a nice ambience to the place. The staff is some of the friendliest in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Today I had classic eggs Benedict and hash-brown potatoes. Everything was done perfectly. I love my hollandaise sauce and most places never serve enough so I asked for extra on the side. Well, that wasn't necessary. The sauce was excellent the eggs were done to perfection along with the REAL Canadian bacon and English muffin. The hash-browns were also done perfectly. Oh, I had regular coffee which was strong like I like it . Our servers were pleasant and attentive too!

Andrew C.

Yelp
For a place that so proudly advertises their eggs benedict you'd think they'd nail making them. I ordered a classic benedict and while the hollandaise sauce was great, having one egg poached while the other was hard boiled makes no sense. Maybe the cook decided to take a smoke break between dropping the first egg and the second or something. The rest was fine but I had higher expectations for the benedict.
google avatar

Duke R.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and will have to say it never disappoints. A little hidden gem on the west end of town.

belinda p.

Yelp
Randomly decided to try out this little gem and I'm so glad I did. Ordered the country fried steak and my gf ordered the pork chop & grits and everything was delicious. Service was welcoming and attentive. My favorite part was the playlist they had on all the jams . Definitely will be back soon :)

Teresa H.

Yelp
I love Norms, good food and good service. Very nice people and friendly . Pancakes my favorite food ever!!

Yelp
Beautiful sunny 55 degree Vegas weather for January 2nd. Finally tried and absolutely loved the Elvis chopped steak. Norm was delightful telling us the story behind this must have creation. Come on down to Norman's Diner for great service, delicious food and ask about the story behind it. Great comfort food!!
google avatar

Chand A.

Yelp
Great food. And great service. We wanna try the breakfast so it was super close to us. We had egg Benedict and they were on point. Prices are reasonable but little expensive.

Yelp
Normans Diner in Las Vegas has a variety of breakfast offerings. They claim to have the best "eggs benedict" in town. My review is only of the Benedicts, nothing else. So here we go. It was right at opening and no one there. Daniela was my waitress . She seated me and got me a glass of water and a Black coffee. I asked a few questions about the Bennys and ordered them poached easy with hasbrowns. Unfortunately she did not come back to check on refills until the cup was empty. I want to let you know that have a "top ten" list for Benedicts. After my visit I was able to rate these "Bennys" in my top 10. #1 being the best and #10 not as good. I found NORMan'S Diner Las Vegas good enough to be in my top 10 while holding on to the 5 star review. My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price #1 - taste: They use Canadian bacon . I asked for easy poached eggs and was presented with the same. Probably more easy than I wanted but my choice. The Hollandaise sauce was made from scratch and had a very smooth distinctive flavor and unlike any Hollandaise sauce that I have encountered . The reason I review Eggs Benedict is because of the difference in the flavor of the Hollandaise sauce. Their hash browns were shredded and cooked perfectly. All of this kept the review at 5 stars. #2 -presentation : The presentation was perfect. Not a hashbrown out of place. The eggs were centered on the plate with the right amount of Hollandaise on each. #3-price: $13. 95 is right in line with Bennys with hash browns. Coffee for $3.25 a cup which is just above the old normal. I was happy to move these Bennys into my top ten list but where? Waveland Diner in Des Moines has been #1 for quite a while. It is very hard to separate #1 - #5 because of the closeness of flavor. I can see that Norm puts a lot of pride into the presentation and flavor. With that I put Norman's diner in the #1 spot on my top 10 Eggs Benedict list that I have tried across the country. Congratulations Norm. Keep it up. I will be back to try one of your other variations.

Yelp
I'm still on my search for the best breakfast burrito in town. I'd say this a good simple burrito. I really loved that the burrito has refried beans - very tasty! The Diner in general is a very whole in the wall, mom and pops kind of vibe. Service was good, no wait (though I may have come after the rush), food was quick. Zero complaints!

Dee E.

Yelp
Ordered the worst burger I've ever had lettuce was old tomatoes were old burger patty was overcooked and hard Fries were soggy! -2 stars
google avatar

Herman Y.

Yelp
Excellent ambiance best breakfast on the west side. Local and tourist welcome. Best egg Benedict and more.service staffs friendly!
google avatar

Gidget D.

Yelp
If you're looking for a delicious local diner with a splash of old school flare, NORMs is it. The service was a bit slow. However, Norm made up for it with great food, conversation, and guest service. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Leanne C.

Yelp
Such a cute place. Family owed. Really good eggs Benedict. Bloody Mary's were spicy and so delicious. Must try spot.
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
This was not a pleasant dining experience at all. The food was mediocre at best. The sausage patty tasted like freezer burn, the maple syrup was gelatinous like clumps of mucus and was bland, the ham was tough, the bowl of chili tasted like they seasoned it with cinnamon, and the lettuce for the Cesar salad was in strange long strips that I had to twirl around my fork like spaghetti. The waitress was either super brand new or high because she seemed entirely absent and kept asking the same questions over and over again, the mimosas are made with boxed juice and cheap champagne, then they tried to charge for things we didn't even order when they brought us our receipt.

Joyce J.

Yelp
My friend and I both had the lunch special on Sunday. It was meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Sorry to say it tasted "awful" and we both did not finish it. My friend didn't think it was cooked enough, it was still pink inside. The mashed potatoes while fresh made were a small child's portion. The green beans were okay. I wished I had ordered breakfast fast instead, it looked appealing and appetizing. Service was null, waitress never came back to ask if everything was okay. Told her we didn't like the food and she said she was "sorry" while leaving the receipt.
google avatar

Lorena H.

Yelp
I ordered breakfast to go. Got the lumberjack which is 2 biscuits 2 sausage 2 eggs with gravy and choice of home fries or hash browns. Home fries is always the way to go. The gravy is thick and flavorful. This is one of my all time favorites for weekend breakfast. It's a small mom and pop joint which in my opinion is usually pretty delicious. They outside seating for those who wish to bring their dogs or smoke. Oh my yummy my yummy is full and happy!!
google avatar

Pam Y.

Yelp
I have been coming here since 2014 every time I am in Las Vegas due to the tasty food, great service and Norm! We even followed him when he moved locations a few years ago.....lol I have introduced several friends to this restaurant and they have all loved it! My Kryptonite is Eggs Benedict and Norms does not disappoint as he has several choices on his menu. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Avocado Eggs Benedict with the Home fries this last visit and it was perfection . We took my friends son and DIL who just moved to Las Vegas and they both loved the food they ordered. The big news was her son WOLFED down all of his Eggs Benedict which was out of the norm for him as he is a small eater .....lol
google avatar

Mitcheal T.

Yelp
One of the best places for a delicious meal, preferably breakfast. A variety from the menu and it's all delicious. Open for breakfast and lunch I highly recommend Norm's!
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Claim to have the best Eggs bene in Las Vegas and I'm inclined to agree. Definitely the best I've had so far. Homemade hollandaise is the key and something most restaurants just don't get it. Summer was my server and was very good.
google avatar

Bobby S.

Yelp
Food and service is great! It's is a neighborhood diner. You might even be able to meet Norm. We highly recommend

Melissa Y.

Yelp
We have been looking for a diner ever since we moved here. Don't believe the reviews. Ordered a burger and they had no buns. French fries tasted like really old oil that should have been changed months ago and the burger had no taste. The wait staff did take the burger off the bill, but I honestly couldn't eat any of it. They do have great coleslaw.

Kimberlee H.

Yelp
Waited awhile for service, ordered monte cristo, too much breading, had to send it back, also patty melt, the burger was tough! Now I'm sitting here with a major stomach ache! Won't be going back, Sorry NORMan's
google avatar

Nathan S.

Yelp
My wife and me frequent Norms a lot, the food is amazing . My go to order is the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. I don't like pancakes but norms lemon pancakes are to die for. Give the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes a try you love it and go back for more. I Promise. The menu has a good selection of breakfast and lunch items. They are open every day except weds. Serves breakfast and lunch only. Give norms a go your won't regret it
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
My first time at Norman's and it was exactly what I expected from a neighborhood diner... friendly staff, good tasting ample portions, and cheap silverware (and I mean that in the most positive way). Looking forward to next time.
google avatar

Dennis T.

Yelp
Diane and I enjoyed classic comfort food here on a first visit. I especially liked a large, slightly different bowl of classic French Onion Soup with oozing Provolone Cheese, well-caramelized onions, bread broken down into croutons, and very tasty broth. This was followed by the Elvis Chopped Steak prepared medium rare as ordered, with 1/2 lb. of Chopped Sirloin Steak, Grilled Onions, Mashed Potatoes, Blue Lake Green Beans, and a generous amount of delicious Mushroom Gravy spread over the potatoes and beef . While I scarfed down all of this food, Diane made good inroads into a French Dip with ample au jus and French Fries. The only discordant note for me were the green beans being a little waterlogged and unsalted, and Diet Coke served in a can. Service was friendly and efficient. Seating in an informal 50's diner setting included hard wood chairs and booth back seating. And, adding to the ambiance was 50's and 60's music like "Rag Doll," "Pretty Woman," and "Runaway Sue" piped in overhead. With a large, eclectic menu and well-cooked food, this is one of the best diners I have frequented in the Las Vegas valley to date.

Yelp
It was MOST definitely the literal BESTTTT breakfast spot I've been to since I moved here (in 2004!!!!) they advertise having the best eggs Benedict in town and I 100000% concur!! I told my husband, don't try taking me to ihop, black bear diner ever again lol we had the eggs Benedict, oxtail soup, and the steak and eggs. Off the chain fr! And then they have their own homemade salsas, a green and a red one. I didn't try the red one but my husband said it was good! I tried the greeen salsa and I seriously couldn't get enough! I put it on everything!! Juuuuustttt be perfect spice level, they sell bottles to take home so of course I bought a green one! You guys, seriously gotta try it. Hole in the wall small place but damn, the quality was amazing! From the food to the service! We got to meet Norman himself as he was working himself really really loved it! We're definitely coming back
google avatar

Kevin A.

Yelp
How in the heck did I not find this place sooner?? What a great breakfast! This place is small but the flavor is big! It is like someone took a mom and pip place from route 66 and plopped it on the West side of Vegas! We have not tried the benedicts yet, but will definitely be back. Great food along with fast and friendly service! You can't ask for more!!

Ann G.

Yelp
Yummy! reasonable prices on menus don't forget the awesome staff too! Location not too far from my house

Jessica G.

Yelp
Norm takes tips from his servers. The food is horrible save your time and money and go somewhere else.
google avatar

Lance O.

Yelp
If you want a great breakfast. I was just trying the black bear diner or the original pancake House. They have a very disorganized kitchen. All my favorite breakfast meals is eggs Benedict. I ordered eggs Benedict from here and they totally screwed it up. I specifically asked for my eggs to be poached easy. Might just came out and the eggs were hard as golf balls. I understand stuff happens. It was how they attempted to resolve the matter. My server said she would bring me out to fresh eggs and left my plate on my table. The eggs never came. They did end up taking it off my bill. But I wanted enjoyable weekend breakfast. Even though the staff is very nice. I don't think I'll be going back here again. The owner had a problem giving me extra hollandaise sauce. There's so many wonderful breakfast spots in Vegas. I'm sorry this wasn't a better experience because I like a restaurant with counter service.
google avatar

Arthur M.

Yelp
The place is super cute and the wait staff is amazing. I had the chicken fired steak and the spinach and chicken omelet. The chicken fried steak was homemade but lacked flavor, and was quite tough. Lacking flavor, could be said about the rest of the food that came out. They had some homemade hot sauces that were amazing. Finally they serve Lavazza coffee which is a nice touch. Overall, a good mom and pop spot just make sure to bring your own salt.
google avatar

Cunom A.

Yelp
Now here"s what Las Vegas has been missing but didn't know it needed. A good old fashion honest to god "diner." The food reminds me of the awesome dinners we had back in the Midwest. Ya have to try the food, it"s a whole feel good vibe all on it's own!
google avatar

Tymara W.

Yelp
The FOOD!!! Omg best breakfast I've had in Las Vegas. I got the crab cake eggs Benedict and the staff is SUPER friendly, owner himself checked on us regularly. I just can't stop raving about the food tho!! I'm trying to stop myself from going back today and I just had it less than 24 hours ago!! They also have a great outside eating area and the ambiance was SOOOO CHILL!!! You can't beat it. THE FOOOOOD!!!!!
google avatar

Marie K.

Yelp
Great ambience, fabulous service and delicious food... What more could you ask for?? Norm and his staff are warm and friendly and really welcomed you into their diner! Great neighborhood place to enjoy a weekend breakfast or brunch. Order the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were delicious! Thank you Norm!!
