"Roasted red pepper might not be necessary for a good italian sub, but we like it on the sandwich from North Buena Deli in Uptown. It throws some sweetness to the mix, balancing out the salty meat and creamy combination of cheese and mayo. There’s also a nice range of texture in the chunky but surprisingly airy bread, from its crackly outside to the soft inside that does a great job of absorbing the dressing and vegetable juices. "North Buena Deli in Uptown is an ideal pit stop if you need to do a little grocery shopping and want to top it off with a well-crafted sandwich. While they have a couple of hot sandwiches like a reuben or pastrami, cold cuts are the main thing to get here. They have an excellent classic Italian sub with crusty bread and sweet roasted red peppers, or get a chipotle chicken or buffalo chicken sandwich for a little heat. Uptowners often stop by during lunch and take their sandwiches to go, but North Buena’s has outdoor patio and some indoor seating next to shelves of snacks and wine." - John Ringor
