NORTH BUENA DELI (UPTOWN)

Interior is welcoming with good amount of seating. Decent menu, lots of options for everyone. They also have a ton of interesting drinks, alcohol, and chip/snack options. I got the Italian sandwich which is very good, however I feel like for the price of $10 I could have gotten just a little more meat. Overall I will be back to try something else, maybe a hot sandwich next time

I love that this is a local, neighborhood deli and we go often for sandwiches, but there has been a downward trend of providing barely any meat on them. The sandwiches themselves are good quality and taste delicious, but the past few times we've gone we've only received a slice or two of meat on each sandwich. They used to provide a sufficient amount of meat a few years ago, which we loved! Unfortunately, the sandwiches now are mostly bred and other toppings. The service has always been friendly though and they have a good selection of wines and snacks.

Perfect spot for an excellent sandwich lunch. I had the Tuscan veggie, and my son and his girlfriend had the veggie and caprese and they were all top notch. Excellent bread, veggies, cheese and sauces. Everything was fresh and delicious!

Had to try the sandwiches at this bustling place! The Reuben was pretty good. The Sicilian sub was delicious! Great selection of cold beer, wines and deli treats! Must try the roast beef, the hot pastrami and the London broil sandwiches next time!

Specifically ordered warm pastrami, mustard on rye. What we got was toasted buttered rye(?), skimpy pastrami, MAYO, w/some sort of melted cheese. Horrible tasting. We couldn’t eat it. Potato salad and pickle were good.

Stop by and have a sandwich made just for you! The tuscan veggie was sooo delicious I will definitely be back for it often. They also have a large selection of local and imported drinks- large wine and beer selections! Also picked up some olive oil and raspberry preserves.

It can get busy (deservedly), but what an amazing place! I’ve had both the vegetarian sandwiches on their menu and they’re incredible for an amazing price. Friendly staff.

Love this place! The sandwiches are to die for. Stocked full of great wine. Always great music playing. So glad they opened a second location in Lincoln Park. Definitely one to try if you haven’t. My dog even loves it! We always get the Turkey & Swiss and the Mediterranean

One of my fav Chicago delis. My favorite sandwich is the Reuben sandwich. To be fair, it is the only sandwich ive gotten, but why mess with perfection? Comes with a pickle too. Takes a bit of time for the sandwiches to be ready but you have to wait for the good things in life. They have all the kinda of drinks and mixers you need. Sometimes I walk around for a while trying to decide what I want, there is so many good options. Everyone who works there is nice. I like to sit outside when it's warm out.

Placed a website order on my way to have a day at the lake. Order was available upon arrival. I grabbed the Sicilian 6 in sub. It was pure perfection. I ended up eating my sandwich 2 hours after it was made because I didn't wanna eat at the dog beach. I loved every bite and the ingredients were so fresh and plentiful. I really would eat that sandwich again. The deli was amazing. Sold lots of wine to my surprise. They also had everything you could need for picnic. They had desserts, and other sweet treats. Check this place out, I am going to hit the location off Armitage to see if they compare.

I really don't get what the hype is over this shitty sandwich shop. I've tried this place on 3 separate occasions and every time, without fail, the bread is stale.

SO good!! I was very happy to find this place after moving too far away from my previous go-to Italian deli. They have the best Italian subs in the area, a nice clean shop, and great customer service. It looked like maybe a family business? Not sure, but they had a welcoming presence and a wide variety of domestic and international grocery, food, and alcohol. I got the Sicilian and my partner got the Mediterranean sandwich, and while both were amazing we agreed mine was the best. I posted a picture on my story and had several people asking about it because the Chicago north side is lacking in your classic Italian sandwich deli! The 6" is more than enough by the way, I was full for the day. Pro tip grab lots of napkins if you get a sandwich!

My boyfriend and i LOVE this deli! They have delicious sandwiches at excellent prices and they offer gluten free bread for only $1 extra. I've tried 3 sandwiches here, but my favorite so far is the Mediterranean. The coffee is good too, whether you like a simple cappuccino or a white chocolate latte you're sure to enjoy it. There's additional seating in the back and on the patio, but this place fills up on weekend mornings! Service is quick and they have never made a mistake on an order so far, despite big crowds. It's a cute family neighborhood business, makes me feel like old school Chicago yet updated for modern needs. Vegetarian options on the menu too, and make sure to browse the wines.

North Buena Deli is a great stop for picking up sandwiches on your way to the lake. They have a great selection of sandwiches, my favorites are the Sicilian and Mediterranean. They customize any sandwich if need. The service is quick and friendly. Not only do they make sandwiches, they have a great selection of alcoholic beverages.

Combines your local deli sandwich shop with a local wine shop for a perfect mix. Sandwiches are always made with fresh ingredients so you can be sure they are great quality. You can also buy some delicious extras like their fresh made chocolate chip cookies. Super friendly and welcoming staff.

It's hard to find a genuine deli in this area, but North Buena is one of my favorites! They give you enough food to be able to have two meal of it, and you can tell that all of the ingredients are carefully picked because everything is so fresh!

Tried this spot for the first time today and I can say this is my new favorite sandwich place! Authentic Italian deli- I got the Sicilian! So yummy! Customer service was excellent. The shop also has an assortment of alcohol from around the world and snacks/baked goods from places nearby. Definitely will be back!

North Buena Deli is a staple neighborhood lunch spot. Their sandwiches are affordable, and since it's also a deli, everything is very fresh! My go to veggie sandwich is the tuscan veggie because I love the bread they use, the hummus, and the roasted peppers. This is my go-to vegetarian sandwich for picnics by the lake! The deli has seating both indoors and outdoors, and they even have complimentary coffee as you wait for your food. The sandwiches come out pretty fast, but lunch is usually their rush hour so to avoid waiting I'll order ahead. They have a huge selection of wine, some baked goods, and lots of other goodies for sale. This is a super cute spot, and I'm excited to start using the patio space now that it's warm again!

Got the Italian, thought the cheese was the best part. Overall thought it was fine, price is fair. Did not knock my socks off but would go again. Music they play is super vibey. Me and my mate were dancing around the wine aisles. The guy who took our order had the best smile. Good for a chill date spot

Their sandwiches are very good? Everything it's fresh and free coffee? The staff are so friendly and lots of people eat there and orders every day the place have wine store and small organic snacks organic spreads and drink individual it's worth it. Highly recommended to everybody they delivery too.

The staff were very attentive. I ordered a sandwich and a drink and stayed inside to eat. The sandwich was great. The eating area inside is very small with about 6 small tables. Because it's also a store, there are aisles of food, wine and small household things you could pick up like a corner store. This is definitely a great pitstop for a sandwich or to hang out with a bottle of wine.

Great place for sandwiches and any other snack needs! They have everything from salads, meats and cheeses, chips, pickles, candy, wine and other beverages. Even their own gummy bears. Their sandwiches are made with Boar's Head meat and cheese, which is the best quality you can get! Service is fast and friendly. The place is also super clean and well organized.

Everyone talks about the wine,but you can also get some eats. It isn't just a wine shop, but it also has a small deli with a few Italian staples, including cheeses and meats. North Buena is a store that's bigger than it looks and has an actually pretty big selection. A pretty big amount of wines is the main attraction. There's also beer if that's more of your thing. Among the food there's mostly the Italian classics. It has all the meats you can think of. There's not that much for vegetarians for sure. Even so, there's a few antipasto choices. They have a few homemade salads as well. Among the side choices is giardeneria. It's about as good as it gets, so get some. As expected, some things are expensive. It's more than $30 for some bottles, but there's a lot of cheaper ones to choose from. The deli is about $7 for a sandwich. Get a lot of alcohol here, and not just wines, but many local beers. It also has many Italian favorites in the deli. They mostly have only cheeses and meats, but the Mediterranean Sandwich is vegetarian.

The deli sandwiches are delicious and freshly made to order!!! Lots of choices to choose from not to mention the many options for alcohol!! I love going here and looking around which causes me to find a new flavor to try out!!

This is my favorite place to doordash from. I always get the chipotle chicken sandwich with sour cream chips and a Diet Coke. It's AMAZING! Portions are unmatched for the price especially being located in uptown. Will continue ordering from here!

Well, they opened their new location in Lincoln Park on Armitage. Wasn't the first customer, but close. Nice deli counter on the left when you walk in. Go to the back and you will find a cornucopia of beverages. What really poped out was their distilled selection. They have all three of Forteleza Tequila . That's impressive. Great addition to the neighborhood

Such fresh sandwiches! The subs are good and the chipotle chicken sandwich is one I will always go back to. Order extra chipotle sauce on the side if you can -- it's incredible! Love a local wine and deli spot.

I love it there. Talk about a picture perfect corner store. The essentials are here: sandwiches, wine, beer, general groceries, coffee, house music, they got it all, Chicago! Honestly there is never a bad time to go visit this spot. Lunchtime? Grab a Sammy. Midday break? Grab a snack. Date night? Wine and clubs right there for ya. This Deli & Wine shop don't disappoint, and I'm grateful that they are a part of this wonderful neighborhood of Buena Park. These guy offer pretzel buns with your sandwiches too. Premium Salads are also available for purchase. People who work there are wonderful guys and gals. Owner will help you find a nice wine bottle for the night if the opportunity arises. Great great family business here. Patio seating and indoor seating available too if you're trying to vibe out to the meal you bought and the store's groovy playlists. They know their stuff, those people. Can't recommend enough if you're in the vicinity of this neighborhood.

We have now popped in for sandwiches twice. Fast friendly service behind the Deli Counter and a large selection of beverages to go. Seems like a perfect place to load up for a Chicago Park picnic, or a space to provision for Ravinia.

My friends and I met up at this wine shop and deli over the weekend for a quick bite before heading out to the beach. We grabbed a few sandwiches, snacks, and drinks before enjoying them on the dog-friendly outdoor patio. I had the 6-inch Sicilian which was full of fresh veggies and fresh slices of meat including Prosciutto, Genoa salami, and Capacollo. The shop is filled with other goodies that you can bring home or fill a picnic basket with including wine, beer, non-alcoholic bevs, and an assortment of snacks. It's a perfect neighborhood shop and deli!

Nice Deli on the North Side. Super easy online ordering, friendly staff in a nicely designed clean store. I had a Roast Beef and Turkey Sub and everything including the fresh bread was really good.

This place has been on my list for months and I finally ordered a few sandwiches for lunch. First off the spot is pretty cute they have a few tables and chairs if you're dining in - they have a great selection of wines, beers, and spirits (they even had a few natural wine options). I ordered my food online (they were offering 15% off via their website for online orders). I got the Italian - unfortunately I didn't realize it didn't come with any condiments on it so make sure you add those online when checking out. Also the potato salad is some of the best I've ever had.

So mad I hadn't checked out this place before! Really loved the atmosphere and vibes of this awesome wine & deli shop. The subs are delicious and I highly recommend the Sicilian or the Italian sub. They have all types of liquor and wines from various parts of the world as well. You are also offered complimentary coffee while waiting and you can eat there as well! Can't wait to come back!

Got the Sicilian sandwich, it was excellent and the red peppers really added alot of great flavor. Decent selection of wine but the sandwiches are why you are coming here. Try the roast beef too it's great that's what my wife ordered.

If you're in the area, this is an absolutely don't miss. Get the spicy cheese- it's amazing. This is one of my favorite delis in the US.

First time trying out this place and WOW! Safe to say it won't be my last. I ordered through a delivery app so I can't say much about the location itself but the food is amazing! I ordered the Sicilian sub meal and it was so fresh, light, and tasty. You can tell the deli meat was amazing quality and everything was super fresh. Great spot to grab a lunch that won't disappoint. Excited to try out their other subs in the near future.

I've never bought anything from the shop portion, but this is a very reasonably priced little gem sandwich spot. The bread is really good and the sandwich combinations are flavorful and well-balanced. I recently moved out of the neighborhood and I am definitely going to miss being able to pop in here and grab a quick lunch on my wfh days!

5 stars for the food and drink options. Amazing sandwiches, snacks, wine, and beverage choices. I love their Rueben sandwich with a cbd soda. However I'm giving 3 stars because we popped in here on a date at 4:30 on a Tuesday to have a bottle of wine and the seating area does not live up to the food and beverages. It was disgusting. Every table was dirty. Lettuce all over the floor. Just gross stuff all over the chairs. Tables all looked sticky. My date used the bathroom came back and said do not use the bathroom. Apparently that was gross too. So if the eating area and toilets are disgusting I wonder what the food really is like. This is a shame because it makes me wary to go back and I thought it was such a great spot.

The subs were really good. One was an Italian cold cut and the other was turkey and cheese. Service was friendly and efficient. The place was small but attractive. Beautiful displays of many types of wine and a few food items. If you like good subs, you gotta go there!

I popped my hot pastrami cherry here. Good service, good food, and felt safe in a pandemic. I had a few questions since they don't have Delis like this where I'm from, they were able to answer and put me at ease. Hope to be back soon.

Our favorite fresh sandwich place to hit before the beach! Sandwiches are generously sized and delicious! My favorite is the NBM, chipotle chicken and hot pastrami. Very good beer & wine section too, just bring your picnic basket and you're set.

This friendly neighborhood deli turns out great sandwiches at a very reasonable price. Stopped in with my daughter for a late, much-needed lunch and ordered the Italian, a $6.95 six-inch sandwich on French bread featuring salami, capocollo, mortadella, provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, red onions and an amazing Italian dressing that soaks into the bread and brings the whole thing together. This was a good sandwich. The deli has taken great care to make patrons feel safe. There's a table set up with sanitizer as you come in. At the counter, staff are protected behind plastic shields and wear masks and gloves . There's a handful of tables outside placed at a safe distance to enjoy your meal.

Moved into the neighborhood a couple months ago and keep finding myself back here for lunch and wine. They have a great selection of wine, beer and liquor. I'd say they have mostly mid to upper level bourbons and scotches. The wine all also appears to be of high quality. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches at all! I've had a few of them and can't speak highly enough about them. The London broil is great if you like horseradish. The chipotle chicken is also a great sandwich if you like some heat. The staff here has always been cheery and great with recommendations. I'll be back pretty much weekly!

Had a craving for a Pastrami on Rye! This sandwich did the trick ... with Blue cheese & horseradish sauce! Added my own spicy brown mustard. So delicious! Only a short walk away...We'll be back!

Sandwiches are packed with great quality meat and cheese, and the bread is like a pillow! Went here to grab a bottle of wine with a friend-which we opened at one of their tables and ate our sammies.
