Where brunch and Italian cuisine meet in a delightful fusion! Walking into The Mall at Green Hills with kiddos and hungry, we stumbled into this gem that quickly accommodated us for weekend brunch. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—casual yet classy—and the food was exceptional. And the kids even finished their meals! From presentation to flavor, every dish impressed us. Highly recommend for families and food lovers alike!! Pictured: cannoli French toast | spicy rigatoni pasta (made vegetarian style) | eggplant dish

This was my first time at North Italia, let me just say I had a great experience. Toni, the hostess was so polite with assisting us. Chuck, our server was phenomenal and went through the menu & even gave us some recommendations. I’ll definitely be back

Google
We are three guys visiting the United States and we were looking for an Italian restaurant, we had a big problem because they did not accept our visa from Colombia they were simply accepting an ID from the United States. This is quite complicated. They are racist people with the Latinos, they did not serve glasses of water without lemon and the other gringos who were in the place were served with glasses of water in the lemon. This is incredible that they act like this with people who visit the state of Tennessee to take a great experience from this city and from this state it was definitely my worst experience in a restaurant if they are Latinos, do not go to this place it is the worst place for Latinos. They really don’t want them

Google
Such an amazing atmosphere and lovely service. Sadly, our Hot Honey & Smoked Prosciutto pizza had almost no cheese on it, but it still tasted fantastic. The tiramisu and simple salad were both AMAZING! Would absolutely return and recommend this place!

Google
North was a welcome surprise. I was seated immediately upon entering, and my server promptly proceeded to take my drink order, which was the Sicilian margarita and just peachy. I then ordered the wild shrimp scampi, and the star of the show was the truffle garlic bread. The butter on top it was simply amazing. My entrees included the Margherita pizza and spicy rigatoni vodka. Everything was delicious, and i will definitely be returning for another wonderful dining experience.

North Italia in The Mall at Greenhills offers fantastic food and a friendly staff. My family enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend for a great meal!

Google
This place blew me away! Cheryl was the best server I experienced while in Nashville. The garlic bread, the pasta, the pizza. Everything was 10/10.

Google
Lighting was an appropriate level, and noise was not too bad at the bar. Service was good considering how busy the restaurant was on a Thursday. Food did definitely not meet our expectations for a $180 meal (including four cocktails and two appetizers). My wife's short rib lasagna was excellent, but the pasta I had with crab lump and 'tiger shrimp' (fairly indistinguishable from your average grocery frozen shrimp) was subpar at best, and the general flavor of the pasta could be best described as buttery shrimp juice.
google avatar

Craig J.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service. The open floor plan in the dining area does create the potential for noise, but the clientele here isn't your Olive Garden and Fazoli's crowd. A very diverse and inclusive staff is on hand, and I never saw a drink getting low or a used dish sitting on any table. I recommend the meatball appetizer and the chicken parm or chopped chicken salad. Our table shared these dishes and all were tasty!

Yelp
Daughter chose for family to celebrate her birthday, glad she did! First, Service was excellent! Table for seven ready on time. Upon arrival, immediately Loved the ambience and vibe. Everyone enjoyed their dinner! I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything on the menu. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Came here a year ago and LOVED my salad. Came again today & got a salad and pizza. It was fine but not so impressed this time around. Good service, pretty busy place. We ordered the margarita pizza "tie dye" style (the pesto drizzle), it was too salty for my taste. 4 stars because it was all good but just not great!
google avatar

Hasti M.

Yelp
One of the best places that takes reservations for large parties The small plates are perfect for sharing - grilled bread and olive oil and white truffle garlic bread were my favs. Don't sleep on the seasonal vegetable salad either! Our server was amazing and made our experience that much better

Yelp
We had a nice lunch at North Italia, and as always, it exceeded our expectations. The food was flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was wonderful --with the staff ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal (drink refills). This place truly never disappoints, offering a consistently excellent experience every time.

Yelp
perfect post shopping or pre movie meal! Service was great and dining was intimate. Their vodka sauce is incredible and their pizzas are out of this world. We ordered our pizza bomba style and will never be able to enjoy pizza any other way.

Yelp
This place is right at the Green Hills malls so if you are at the mall and looking for a casual dining, this could be good place for that. Nashville is a booming town so weekend parking is little tough but not as bad as downtown. Weekend lunch isn't so crowded. They have a variety menu you can select from and good cocktails. Their meatballs are so so good! My daughter had a pizza which she enjoyed so much. Beef tartar was also a good choice.

Yelp
This is a chain restaurant located in the mall they have a variety of cocktails and seasonal Items. The staff seem friendly, but the friendliness from the hostess was super fake. The bartender was kind, and the drinks were strong. The decor was nice and it was well lit. There is a share of parking lot on the side. You can enter through the outside with the inside of the mall. Hope you enjoy your experience.

Yelp
We are huge fans of the NI in Franklin TN, and wanted to stop here before an appointment in the mall. The food was good, but I feel like Franklin NI is superior, both in service, in ambiance, and in the food flavors and consistency/quality. There really wasn't anything notable for this experience. I had the chicken parm, which was good - husband had the vodka pasta and had some fatty pieces which sorta grossed me out a bit. The Caesar salad and grilled good bread fantastic as always. Those are always our go-to's. While we aren't sure if we would be back to this location, we are fans of NI overall and do recommend them!

Yelp
Delicious menu options, an airy and spacious interior, and friendly service all help make this chain location at Green Hills Mall feel a little more like a local Italian bistro. It's a little light on vegan and vegetarian options but with a little creativity, you can make it work. And certainly plenty of great menu items for the omnivores. The ability to book on OpenTable is also a plus. Excellent cocktail - and mocktail - menu as well, with a nice wine list.
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
First time here and we tried several dishes. Favorites that I would reorder - meatballs -chef board -spring salad -truffle butter bread Items that were okay but I would not order again -chicken and beet salad (pretty bland) -grilled bread w olive oil (4 tiny pieces of bread drizzled) -burrata (disappointed in this) Service was quick and friendly. Nice wine selection. -

Yelp
Located by the Starbucks, my favorite spot in the Green Hills Mall for a bite to eat! Amazing salads and pizza. Plenty of wine and cocktail options. Also a long bar in front to just sit and enjoy a game while your significant other shops. Service is always great and plenty of parking anywhere around the mall.

Yelp
Idk how I have never been here but I was missing out! This spot is sooo good. We ordered pizza, salad, meatballs, desserts, truffle bread and drinks. Everything was awesome. We sat in the bar tables bc the wait was very long and it was crowded. The bartender was amazing. Our drinks were fire!! He earned all the extra tips we gave lol. The atmosphere was cute but I will say it left a bit much since it was super loud and open. There is also no lobby so that was not great. I will definitely come again just not during a busy time

Yelp
Enjoyed our visit for lunch. Recommend making a reservation in advance of coming. Service was wonderful, attentive to water refills and checking on us. The chicken Basil pasta was wonderful and enjoyed the meatball sandwich with greens. Overall, very fresh and tasted wonderful. They also provide a birthday desert for our daughter's birthday. She chose the doughnuts w/lemon cream and strawberry. So yummy!

Yelp
Great place for happy hour - and a nice dinner too! I've been to several North Italia locations across the country and it is always a good experience - modern, unpretentious Italian food with good service that isn't gonna break the bank. Came to this location for happy hour (M-F 3-6p, bar and high tops only) and appreciated the good deals on food and drinks...bottle of wine plus either a pizza or a board (veggie or charcuterie) for $38 is the best value on the menu, but everything we tried (meatballs in a deliciously cheesy polenta, cacio e pepe arancini) was tasty. Glad to have this in the neighborhood!

Yelp
I came to North Italia for lunch after a long day and week !! I'm so GLAD I came here ! The food was PHENOMENAL ! I was served by the Regional manager. He recommended a Caeser Salad with Pesto Pasta with no meat (vegetarian) and the Carrot butter cake !! I am currently reminiscing about this food ! BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER ! This location (Green Hills) exhibited a classy and upscale ambiance because.. it's GREEN HILLS ! lol

Yelp
I try to temper my expectations based on venue. I wasn't expecting a five star VIP experience in a mall restaurant (Green Hills Mall), but aside from cocktails, I can't justify more than three. First, the restaurant is woefully understaffed. We waited about half an hour for a table, and that was fine. We sat at the bar and hoped to have a cocktail while waiting. There was one single bar tender, having to make multiple drinks in rapid succession, dripping sweat from his brow. It took maybe 20 minutes to be acknowledged and get our drinks. THIS WAS NOT HIS FAULT. He was moving as quickly and efficiently as possible. Again, this is a restaurant management/staffing issue. When we were sat, it took probably 10 minutes to be greeted. Again, NOT her fault. You can only function with the resources which you are given. We sipped our cocktails and orders apps/small plates. We ordered the crispy eggplant Parmesan. I liked this dish--it was cheesy and crispy and had some nice spicy sauce. We also had the prosciutto bruschetta, served with stracciatella, asparagus, and grana padano. It was a pleasing flavor profile with great textures, but the asparagus and the bread could have been toasted/crispier. I had the chicken pesto at the recommendation of the server. This was regretful. The pasta was overdone and the chicken was weird and chewy--unseasoned. Almost like it was boiled. I left most of it untouched. They have various pastas--maybe I should have gotten the bolognese (their house specialty). They also have salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. It was a noisy, hectic, loud environment. The food was mid. The cocktails were pretty good, and most were about 15 bucks each. And again--none of the issues were the fault of the servers/bartender. This would be a nice pitstop for snacks and drinks while shopping, but I wouldn't go here for a full meal.

Yelp
My favorite food near Green Hills, Truffle Bread ($15) is unbelievable and I will get it every time I go. We tried the Bolognese ($23) the last time we went (pictured) and it was very good- I am partial to the Short Rib Lumache as it is my favorite pasta dish ever.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, good service. I would absolutely recommend the Spicy Rigatoni or the Chicken Parmigiana. This restaurant is a staple for good food.

Yelp
A+ service and food! I've been here twice and it hits every time. This time I brought my husband and son. He has a wheat/gluten allergy. The waitress was excellent! Kudos to Heather and the chef on duty Wednesday night. They were so accommodating! Loved Heather's positive energy! They created a gluten free version of the White Truffle Garlic Bread appetizer for him. It was sooo good. He loved it. It means so much to receive great food, respect and great service in a restaurant. I hope the ambiance continues to be inviting and pleasant as always. We do plan to eat here again during our next visit.

Yelp
Tonight's experience at North Italia was fantastic all around. The food is great, beautiful open kitchen style restaurant, and the bar is stocked with something for everyone...over 21 of course. The server that brought it all together was Ben. He is personable and knows his menu. His service brightened our parties dinner and can't thank him enough. We all appreciated you tonight Ben! Merry Christmas!!!

Yelp
Visiting family in Nashville, made a five top reservation. Greeted and seated on time. Very large footprint with ample seating. peaceful atmosphere. Dinner parking is challenging. Even though its located in a mall its hard to find a nearby spot. Our server was kind and well informed. Nice cocktail and wine ($$$-$) selection Sadly they were out of some of their most popular apps, always a curiosity to me how that can happen. We shared some meatballs which were tasty. There was a nice selection of entrees. We ordered five different choices. All were delicious. Reccomended Slainte

Brittani M.

Yelp
This was my first time dining at North Italia and although the food and service were amazing, I didn't necessarily enjoy my experience there. This was to no fault of the restaurant itself but of another table beside me. All in all, I would go back to give it another try and hope I have a better time!

Yelp
Over the phone " How large are your pizzas ?" Answer "6 slices" 2nd question "How many inches? 16" ? , 18"? 20?" Answer "I don't know" Hmmmmm Poor service. We were told it would be 35 minutes for our pizza. We were just told it will be 20 more minutes. I will update after we get our 2 pizzas. The first pizza was 25 mins late. They "forgot" the 2nd one. It was ready 15 mins later. Soooo, our order was 40 mins late. Great pizza , poor service. They did only charge us for one. Nice gesture , but they were late twice ? We will give them one more try.

Yelp
Had lunch here with a friend and it had great casual lunch vibes. We sat outdoor on the patio, and it was a beautiful day so we had a great experience out there. I got the pesto pasta and my friend got the chopped chicken salad and both dishes were delicious. The service was a little slow and they did seem a bit understaffed at the moment but once our server was with us and she was very sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back for lunch another time!

Yelp
Bruschetta came out first and was way over charred. Wasn't edible. Manager did take it back and sent just regular bread w olive oil. Ordered short rib for the entree. Presentation was nice but short rib was over cooked. The mashed potatoes were very good. Grilled asparagus was very bland. Carrots were above average. Ordered a side of seasonal vegetables and that was good. Sweet corn was on point. Broccolini was good. Asparagus again was bland. Service was slow but they were training a new server so it was to be expected. Waited a long time to get a check. Outdoor seating is nice. I am guessing they were possibly breaking in new cook(s) so I am willing to give then another try

Yelp
The food is great - it has a real authentic Italian taste to it, and I used to love going here. The atmosphere is bright and relaxed during the day, though I've not been at night before. However, the service has taken a dive and is awful now, in my opinion. You could wait thirty minutes just to get a drink order, and once the waitress even forgot to put the food order in. They may need new management, as there seems to only be responses from management to the positive reviews, which means there is no accountability being taken. If they fix these issues and return to the restaurant they were before, I would move the review up to five stars.

Yelp
Dropped in for an afternoon snack. Although we were just enjoying appetizers, our server (Chris), was kind and attentive. We enjoyed the Zucca Chips and the Truffle Garlic Bread; the dishes were exquisite. The truffle bread had homemade ricotta included- it was light, tasty and delicious. The Zucca Chips are lightly thin Zucchini Chips that were delightful. A delicious afternoon snack made enjoyable by a warm atmosphere and excellent service.

Yelp
Nice foods. Really love the prosciutto and the squid ink pasta. The tiramisu is also so good!

Yelp
Our dinner this evening was great (as always) and our server, Drew, was absolutely the best! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I think it was a 5 star service and the food was tasty. Small hiccup to start, as we called ahead to see if they had the porchetta on the menu and we were told yes. I came very excited only to find out it is a seasonal dish offered during the winter only. The server (Christian) was awesome and pointed out some good alternatives. I had the meat pizza and my wife had the squid ink pasta. They were very accommodating with her selection as she wanted to change the sauce type on the pasta and they easily did so to her enjoyment. It was a quiet cool evening on the patio which made it even better.

Neil N.

Yelp
The broccoli was raw after a 45 minute wait. And that is a Cheesecake Factory container. The bolognese is also stuck together

Emily B.

Yelp
Walked in with my fiance sept 30 4:30, and the young lady with dark hair at the hostess stand (white tank and sweatshirt) was googly eyeing him and couldn't take her eyes off. Just unprofessional and rude. 0/10 just based off that first impression. Update: didn't tell us to have a nice day when we left, didn't talk at all. Just continued to stare at my fiancé. Also for such a nice restaurant I wouldn't think they'd want the hostess to have her boobs hanging out of her shirt. Absolutely gross atmosphere because of that girl.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Love the truffle bread and delicious cocktails prepared by our bartender Makayla! Had a fantastic dinner while doing some Christmas shopping! Bar seats were very comfy and spacious which is. Nice touch!

Yelp
North Italia is one of those disappointing restaurants that looks really good on paper that - despite a sophisticated menu and a glamorous interior - miserably fails to live up to the hype. They got off to a really bad start from the beginning. I had a lunch reservation for 11:00 a.m. when they open. I stood out in the cold and made eye contact with several employees who wouldn't open the door. By 11:10, I was still waving at employees to let me in. Really? But they opened the entrance inside the mall and a long line formed at the hostess stand while I was relegated to the back of the line by the time I circled around. They finally opened the front doors around 11:20 after I had already been seated. There must be a better way! So I grabbed a seat at the bar and started with the white truffle garlic bread. The crispy edges and melted mozzarella and grana padano are addictively delicious, but the cold ricotta sort of ruins the whole thing. Better garlic bread can be found a mere 315 feet away at Emmy Squared. And then, I made the mistake of eating the chicken parmesan sandwich. It was of such low quality that it tasted like something you would eat at Olive Garden or Burger King. Even worse, the $15 price is absurd! The type of bread was an atrocious mismatch for this sandwich, and was burned black and thus inedible. The chicken is of awful quality, and the mozzarella, provolone, and prosciutto are essentially nonexistent. But the most egregious sin was the marinara, the worst I've ever tasted. Admittedly, I make a wonderful chicken parmesan and a sensational marinara at home, and I've had some stunning Italian food in Italy. So my standards are very high. But all that aside, this is easily some of the worst Italian food for the most ridiculous prices I've ever eaten.

Jingwen M.

Yelp
Just had the most amazing culinary experience here. The Margherita Pizza was spot on with its thin, crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella. Prosciutto Bruschetta was a delightful surprise. Soft, warm bread layered with crunchy asparagus, savory ham, and melted cheese created a symphony of flavors. A must-try for bread lovers! Service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes! --- This concise review captures the essence of the dining experience while providing a clear recommendation for potential patrons.
google avatar

Kristin J.

Yelp
I love the food here. I've had the chicken Parmesan and the Italian farm salad and both are delicious. The service here could be better as the hosts haven't been the friendliest and the servers can be slooooow depending on who you get. Sometimes there is a long wait so I prefer to make a reservation. The restaurant has been clean each time I've dined here which is a plus as well.

Brendan M.

Yelp
Adrian was an amazing waitress. Food was good. Atmosphere was solid. Table was nice. Would return.

Yelp
Nashville visit for a work trip! Came by this chain restaurant as there are several locations in Texas and heard great reviews. This place did not disappoint! Ambiance was modern with Italian zing to it - the restaurant was clean and the servers were extremely friendly and helpful in giving us the best food options. All food was made fresh and was served to our table hot. The white truffle garlic bread is by far the best appetizer they have!! Must try and I even said that I would come back just to order this. The zucca chips were good - super thin and crispy chips with Parmesan cream sauce! The Bolognese was delicious - the noodles were made fresh ( could use a bit more sauce and cheese ) but I would definitely order again. We got one order and shared between the two of us - great portion size!! The dessert .. wow! The vanilla bean gelato on top of the butter cake was amazing and the granola was super crunchy! I would say, the price is worth every bit of what we ordered. READ THIS ***** One thing to say is that - marinara sauce and parmesan cream sauce - we were charged extra $3.50 for each sauce and was not told about it ****** the sauce is worth it though and we didn't say anything about the charge when we saw the bill. It would've been nice to know about the additional charge prior to the order as the appetizers are a bit on the pricey side. Would come back! Our server was super nice.

Yelp
The ambiance in here is great. Nice low lighting but strategically placed so everything is well lit. good volume level, easy to have a conversation. Lots of seating options: bars, booths, tables for smaller or larger groups. They also have outdoor patio seating. The kitchen is visible from the seating area which I love. We were placed on the waitlist and seated exactly within the timeframe told to us. Everyone was really great. Our server checked on us a lot, refilled water before we even realized we needed more water. Now onto the food: Calamari fritti (fried calamari): 4/5. Nice and crispy, great portion. Comes with 2 dipping sauces. One was marinara and the other is like a spicy aioli. Both were pretty good, though I was partial to the marinara. Definitely made in house. Tucano punch: 4.5/5. Nice and sweet. Definitely a strong drink, all of them are, but the alcohol does not overwhelm the drink. Well made and mixed cocktail. Has a citrusy flavor. Braised short rib lumache: 3.5/5. Pretty good. The short rib is the star of this dish. Tasty, tender, just falls apart. The pasta sauce was under seasoned tho, not much flavor. Good portion for the price though. Definitely filling. All in all, I'd love to return here!

Yelp
I visited North Italia for brunch with a friend. We arrived around 1:30 and there were a lot of people for an early afternoon in my opinion.. We only had to wait about 15 mins for a table but were able to grab drinks at the bar. [Food/Drinks] I had the You, Me & Capri spritz which was light and refreshing For brunch I ordered the Breakfast Rosa pizza, which was everything!! The perfect amount of toppings and a few over easy eggs, which brough the pizza together well. It was not heavy and I even opted for a second spritz. [Service/Venue] Our waiting staff was helpful and I would definitely return again for lunch or dinner. My only area of improvement would be towards the bathrooms, they weren't the cleanest but I'm sure it was due to the busy restaurant.

Yelp
Great variety of Italian food here! Even though it's at the greenhills mall, the restaurant is nice but also casual. We ordered the zucca chips! They are pretty good- little too oily for my liking. The truffle bread is *chef kiss* We also ordered the prosciutto pizza and the bolognese. AMAZING.

Yelp
Fairly upscale Italian restaurant. Amazingly good food. Great service. Nice decor inside, with outdoor seating. We split Strozzapreti. It was OMG good! See photo below for HALF portion.

Yelp
I've been a few times. The food was quite lackluster. Despite being an Italian restaurant, I was not impressed with the pasta dishes I ordered. They lacked flavor and were quite underwhelming. Everything is pricey for what you get, too. However, I did find their mixed drinks during happy hour to be quite enjoyable. Their cocktail menu had a good variety and was priced reasonably. In terms of their wines, I was pretty disappointed. For an Italian restaurant, I expected a better selection of wine, but unfortunately, the choices were subpar. Simply spare yourself and move along. More often so than not, the staffing seemed a bit disorganized, and our server was not very attentive. The restaurant was not particularly busy, but it took quite some time to receive our food and drinks, and we found ourselves waiting for extended periods without any explanation. This has happened on more than one occasion as I try to come here when it isn't swamped, particularly on weekdays before the dinner rush. Overall, while I do appreciate the mixed drinks during happy hour, I cannot recommend North Italia based on my subpar dining experience + the customer service experiences we have had over the several visits we have been.

Yelp
I eat at North Italia way too much and at this point, I don't really care. I've never really had a bad experience here. Favs - Appetizers Truffle Bread - We have to order 2 of these so that we don't stab each other over a piece. It's that good. My most pickiest eaters love it. Be warned, the taste of this fluctuates a little as sometimes I have felt there is more truffle flavor than others. I personally like it when its a little less, but I never forget to order this app. Favs - Pizza The Pig: I'm not a fan of sausage so I ask for no sausage. The toppings are never lacking and the crust is amazing. It's never failed me. Sometimes I like to add onions and mushrooms and its absolutely perfect! Margherita Pizza: A classic and done to perfection! Favs - Pasta Chicken Parmigiana: Delicious. Large portion of chicken and good size serving of penne pasta. If i'm not eating a pizza, I'm eating this! Service Always pretty attentive and friendly. Yesterday the app took too long and they apologized and took care of us without us ever saying anything about it. They care about their customers and its awesome.

Yelp
This place never disappoints for me - have been to the Green Hills/Nashville location 3 times now and have enjoyed it every time. The food and service have always been top notch and the drinks are delicious. On my latest visit I tried the Julietta cocktail, which was really, really good - so good we asked the bartender for the recipe - but we'd have to infuse our own vodka! My friend and I shared the Tuscan Kale Salad and the Ricotta Cavatelli, and they were both fantastic. Love the elegant, casual atmosphere - one of my go to favorites! Don't remember the server's name but he was great - asked the bartender about the drink for us and also had them leave the mint out of our dish.

Yelp
Alex was very personable to our two tables, with one having two children. We really enjoyed the service and the conversation we had with him. His service demonstrated superiority compared to normal service we generally get from typical servers. He'll be the reason we come back to North Italia, along with the really delicious food.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch twice now and would definitely recommend this spot. I had the chicken parm the first time and the tortellini the next. Both were great! The menu here has a lot to offer and no complaints on the service. Cool and open atmosphere for lunch!
