North Richland Hills Farmers Market

Was in the area visiting and decided to stop by their local farmers market. Was surprised to see the variety available and how nicely everything was laid out and organized. Enjoyed the produce and chocolate bears. Consider also adding a Yelp page.

I love this (not so little) little farmer's market to buy flowers/plants! They have a great selection, they are incredibly helpful and oh-so friendly, and I always get a great deal! I always go home with so much more than I could from a retail chain store! I'm so glad I happened upon it by chance one day!

I walked in, I spoke to an associate in the deli section, she looked directly in my eye did not speak to me at all. Walked around shop for a few more minutes, walked by 2 more associates, no one said a word to me. (I am African American by the way).?On top of the very poor customer service, I came here because it was advertised that they had organic produce. They have a very tiny section of produce and majority of them had regular 4 digit produce codes on them. Not 1 labeled as organic. A complete waste of my time & would not recommend.

It was great as far as customer service goes...Marcus was really helpful and went out of his way to see that I was taken care of. One negative thing though... Someone forgot to load my beautiful hanging basket of petunias (paid for). I'm sure it was an oversight but I will be calling y'all tomorrow to get the rest of my order!

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The products are of good quality. Everything I've bought here, from plants, bushes, trees, produce, preserves, and specialty foods, has been great. All plants thrived.

So my most recent experience with this market was the last straw. First the cashiers that are running the store seem nice as can be. My problem is not with them. My issue is with the owners/manager's overpriced items. Listen, just because it is a farmers market does not make the produce/items suddenly valuable as gold. On my last visit I needed 5 avacados for some guacamole....$20. $4 per avocado, are you crazy or just delusional? I was able to buy 6 at another market that were much bigger and better quality for $4 TOTAL. If it is not produce, it is lighted Christmas decorations that apparently cost the average price of a black market kidney. Don't waste your time or hard earned money as everything in this place is overpriced under the premise that because they are a market they somehow have a right to price gouge.

Great staff who are very helpful when it came to choosing the right plants for my flower garden. They also had a good selection of fruits, vegetables and preserves. They also had my favorite….green tomatoes!! I highly recommend them for your farmers market needs.

Small and full of surprises, everything you could want as well have pre prepared foods frozen and ready to go. As well as sell some things from local restaurants in the area. Awesome selection of honey and spices for the kitchen. Awesome place.

It's always a great experience every time we go to the farmers market in North Richland Hills. Our family loves the milk and recently we bought some pumpkins there. We are always greeted and served with a smile which is always pleasant. Everything is well organized and clean as well.

We have been customers for many years. They have the best cantalopes and tomatoes in the summer! Love their frozen section and their jarred specialties. The people are always friendly and helpful

Let's just say, we won't be going back. Very little local produce. Did not look very good. And the nursery, if you can call it that when no one even tends the nursery was terrible. The plants were in bad shape. Looked like someone dropped off a delivery of plants and they just sit out in the sun and dry out. Prices on produce was just the same as any local grocery store and they obviously have very little overhead

This is a great little market -- tons of plants and flowers, with a small area of fresh fruits and veggies inside. They also sell organic texas beef, Texas veggies, local salsa, Texas raw honey, and other things exclusive to Texas. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Large garden section is nice with a variety of plants, flowers and herbs. And a good variety of items inside from jarred preserves and salsa, tamales, produce, etc. However we picked up two watermelons and were shocked when they told us the total was $30. To make matters worse, both watermelons were rotten inside. I've tried reaching out to the store but haven't received a response. Buyer beware, I guess. But we won't be returning. The farmers market in Haltom City is a better choice.

My husband and I recently made a visit to the NRH Farmers Market, as we have been looking for a place to buy local produce and whatnot. This was our first and what will be our last visit. I was unaware they treated their employees so poorly until I went to the bathroom and saw the sign up telling their employees to "get off their phones and get back to work" aggressive much??? If you're so mad at teenagers acting like teenagers maybe pay a living wage to attract some adults so you won't have to post these aggressive signs around the business. What a turn off. I will never spend money somewhere where management/owners speak this way to employees. The farmers market is quite small anyway and doesn't have a great selection of produce. Would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

The staff and selection of produce and goods is amazing! Such a wonderful place to walk into!

My favorite farmers market in the area as far as herbs and outdoor gardening. I plant them every year and have been for almost a decade. Always good cucumbers and tomatoes. Good place to grab some organic soil.

OK market. Not a huge selection, but a quality selection. I did not see my favorite local honey, Blackland Prairie Honey, but might have missed. They were mixing up a fresh batch of salsa, and it looked pretty good. Boar's Head brand in the cooler too. All the fruits and vegetables looked good. Large plant selection too. Bottom line: There is a lot to look at in this place!

Marcus is AMAZING!! He helped me so much today creating a manageable planter box for my apartment balcony AND some gorgeous tomato and pepper plants. I can't wait to plant my babies and help them thrive. Marcus got me all set up. Very hard working man, passionate about customer service and growing lovely plants. The produce here is beautiful too. A little bit more than the big box grocer but QUALITY stuff. The employees who work in the shop are friendly and knowledgeable about their product. I can't wait to come back!

Love this place!!! I'm done as much as possible with box stores, this place has almost everything you need. Eggs, cheese, dairy, local grown meats, list is endless. Love you guys! I'm on my way right now.

I practically receive whiplash every Spring, driving past this Farmer's Market that is always bursting with the most vibrant and beautiful annuals and perennials. And upon closer inspection, I have realized what a diamond in the rough this place is compared to the Lowe's, Home Depot's and the Plant Shed's in the area... which seem overpriced and scantily clad (variety wise.) Not only have I found beautiful, hard to find TX native perennials here, but I also love the great selection of herbaceous plants, sedums, and vines! And my boys love the fresh fruits and veggies... (mom loves the great prices!) The staff has always been more than helpful and very knowledgeable. Even though I am not the most experienced gardener, I send people here regularly when I receive a compliment on some flower or plant that a purchased here. Can't say it enough, I LOVE the NRH Farmer's Market!!!

The pics on this farmers market from previous reviews make it look appealing. When we showed up it looked like a hoarders house. It's very small, there were no stands set up like a normal farmers market. I don't even know what this place was. There were maybe 2 plants outside that you could buy..

Finally, was able to stop and peruse this place! What beautiful stock they had and everything looked so healthy and well cared for. Everyone that worked there was friendly and helpful. Their herb selection was good and as far as pricing....wish I'd found time to stop here before I spent so much on spring/summer color I purchased for more at higher priced nurseries! I'll be back.....SOON!

I come here for the selection of plants. They have some great deals, so you have to check back regularly. I bought 3 plumbago plants for the price that home depot was charging for one! The garden folks are knowledgeable and very helpful. An older gentleman offered to help me figure out the best plants for me, I just had to bring in a drawing of what my yard looked like. Bonus - you can get Mexican cokes here and they have a bottle opener at the counter and will open it for you. HEAVEN!

Once summer hits, I'm at this place at least once every couple of weeks. I love the fresh summer produce and have had fun embracing some of the southern preparations for them. Who knew that green beans and those small red potatoes (creamers?) cooked together (with a little ham or bacon fat - mmmmm) for longer than I've ever cooked green beans or potatoes could be so delicious. Just add a salad and corn bread and mmm-mmm-mmm! And how delicious is maque choux (okra, corn, tomato, andouille, etc.)?! And peach-blueberry cobbler. In the next few days, I'm going to continue this culinary journey and make something I've never made or had before - Tomato Pie (there was a recipe in the June 2012 Southern Living mag that sounded really yummy - http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/old-fashioned-tomato-pie-50400000122170/). The East Texas tomatoes I've bought the last few weeks have been really good. The Hubs (who had never lived in the South before we moved here 5 years ago) never knows what's going to hit him for dinner! Of course there's plenty more produce than what I've yummied above, but that's the stuff I look forward to every year. Oh yea, and Vidalia onions, and purple hull peas, and yellow squash, and .... They also sell some Boar's Head products and Horizon organic milk. Fresh salsa. Fresh tortillas. Dried beans. Nuts. Chips. Pickled goods and jams. Peanut brittle with jalapeno! Etc. Etc. They also have a very sizable garden center. I haven't spent nearly as much time in there as I have inside with the vegetables, but every spring it's a riot of color. The people who work here are very friendly making it a pleasant place to shop. The only problem is the tiny parking lot which can make parking a challenge if you shop at peak times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BTW, the tomato pie was REALLY good!

I came here to buy some strawberries and blackberries. I didn't even see any blackberries and the only strawberries they had were the same kind you would find at your local walmart. Extremely poor produce selection. I don't know how they call themselves a farmers market. At least their outdoor plant selection seemed to be thriving. I would have tried some of their tasty looking salsa but I really just wanted to get out of there. It's so cramped in there I felt claustrophobic.

We buy pretty much all our produce and most of our plants here. Their prepared salsa and guacamole are among my favorites of each. They have honey from KELLER...it doesn't get more local than that unless you're a beekeeper. They have a great assortment of pottery and garden kitsch. As my wife once declared, "I want to buy everything they sell." And no one...NO ONE has better avocados. I've accused them of being part of the avocado mob because no one comes close. The plants are all healthy and well taken care of. Great place...support local and buy everything you can buy here.

They are always on point with seasonal veggies. The garden section is thriving and don't sleep on their house brand salsas.

Just fantastic, local produce and other goodies (including local, raw honey)! You won't be disappointed!!

Wonderful vegetables! The best place to get avocados. Great location and lots of other goodies too.

I love this place!! Always has great looking produce. They even carry one of my favorite jams- traffic jam! The tamales they sell are great too!
