"Up on the third floor of a beautiful city centre townhouse, you’ll find this sedate restaurant with a discreet, intimate feel. In a nod to Chef Sayan Isaksson’s heritage and experience, the menu seamlessly fuses Swedish produce with Japanese influences – such as in the okonomiyaki, which uses black truffle from the island of Gotland. Original, well-composed dishes are spread across a tasting menu of five or eight courses." - Michelin Inspector

The 38 Best Restaurants in Stockholm, Sweden | Eater

"Michelin-starred Nour is an exciting fusion of Japan and Scandinavia. The restaurant’s Thailand-born, Sweden-raised chef, Sayan Isaksson, expertly balances Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients with Scandinavian traditions and Nordic produce. As the foundation for its culinary creations, the kitchen produces its own dashi, koji, miso, smen, meatso, XO, and fish sauce using local ingredients. Three-, five-, and eight-course menus feature dishes such as turbot with aged beurre blanc, milk buns with vendace roe and sour cream, Swedish duck with sansho pepper and lavender, and the traditional Swedish dish kalvdans, made from unpasteurized colostrum milk, here combined with black Okinawa sugar and frozen amazake." - Per Styregård

Compared to other Stockholm establishments, I rate Nour five stars. However, when benchmarked against other Michelin-starred restaurants, I give it a four-star rating. The reception was excellent, and the staff expertly guided us through the dining area. A pre-dinner drink and amuse-bouche were offered in a separate room—a thoughtful touch I found unique. We selected the full tasting menu, served in a progressive manner. The dishes were largely exceptional, although the snow (ice) and syrup dessert was incongruous. It felt more appropriate for a child's summer treat than a Michelin-starred restaurant. In summary, it was a noteworthy dining experience.

It was cold snowy day in Stockholm last night, Nour didn’t disappoint us! The food was absolutely creative and delicious. The staffs were friendly, each of every course were presented in the perfect way. This restaurant is in an old apartment, dining there just like visit a friend’s home. One of the best Michelin restaurants we ever been. And Sayan Isaksson was the one serving food to us with his team, which I didn’t know until just now when I accidentally saw his picture on Google.😄

It was my first time in Stockholm and I decided to visit a Michelin-starred restaurant, so I chose Nour — and it was an amazing choice. The food was brilliant, the atmosphere was cozy, and the whole experience was unforgettable. I also want to mention Alma, who provided excellent service. Her explanations of the dishes and drinks were fantastic, and the conversation at the table made the evening even more enjoyable. I hope to return to this restaurant the next time I visit Stockholm.

Very private secluded setting with just 7 tables and attentive service where we always had our glasses filled and always had someone within arms reach for anything we needed, all questions was well answered for and we did know exactly what each serving was including the sourcing and philosophy behind it. Lots of umami flavors throughout the serving, highlight was the quail which is to die for. Well worth it's star.

Fantastic meal from start to finish, each dish was wonderful! Drink pairings are creative, delicious, and really bring out the brilliant flavors of the dishes. Service was attentive but not intrusive, adding to the enjoyment of our meal overall. Cannot wait to come back!

My experience of every single dish in the 9-course dinner was: “what in the world is this!??” “I didn’t know this combination of flavors existed,” and the “how is this so incredibly delicious!?” I’ve been to 34 countries, ate all different cuisines, and went to many 1-Michelin star restaurants, and Nour is now at the very top of my all time favorite list. I could say it’s the most deserving of all 1 star places I’ve been to. The flavor and ingredient combinations were outstanding, creative, and delightful. The photos and how the food look don’t even do it justice. Every bite was a puzzling burst of delight in your mouth. No exaggeration at all. We had mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairing, and we actually preferred non-alcoholic beverages. I supposed the bartender just had to be extra creative when they can’t rely on alcohol. They felt like drinking delicious cocktails that are complementary sauces to the dishes. Service was also excellent. The staff created the atmosphere like we we’re being served by master craftsmen with how they explain the dishes and drinks. It was polished and refined, but not too posh or stuffy. If you’re in Stockholm, this is a must. If you can afford it, just book it.

Honestly, my boyfriend and I tried a few other Michelin places in Stockholm and nothing beats Nour. The Japanese Swedish combination was so different yet perfect. We would rate each dish for fun during dinners and we never goto a place where every single dish on the menu was a 9+/10 (except here). Amazing service. Beautiful interior. Everything was exquisite. 👍🏻
