The 12 Best Sushi Spots In Denver - Denver - The Infatuation

"Nozomi is your average neighborhood sushi spot, complete with a paper-and-pencil menu, only kicked up a notch or two. The fish is fresher, the vibe is sexier (hello, red mood lighting), and the rolls are a little more inventive. We love the Snow Beauty with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna topped with seared scallops, and the kobe beef that’s rolled up with fried asparagus in soy paper. It’s not too pricey, either—shimmering, high-quality bluefin toro goes for $9 a piece and the absolutely loaded rolls start at $16. The sake and Japanese whisky lists are also decently long and full of quality picks." - allyson reedy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Exceptional Sushi & Incredible Vibes! My husband, two girlfriends, and I went to Nozomi Sushi on Tejon Street in Denver, and this place absolutely blew us away. The sushi was insanely delicious — so fresh, beautifully made, and full of flavor. We also ordered martinis and sake, and everything was perfection. The atmosphere inside is stunning — modern, clean, and super inviting. You can tell they take pride in their space. And the customer service? Off the charts. Our waiter even poured extra drinks of sake for us so we didn’t have to lift a finger. Little details like that make the entire experience feel next-level. We stopped in before a concert and it set the tone for an amazing night. Incredible food, great drinks, gorgeous atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond. Highly, highly recommend Nozomi Sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

Recently introduced to this place by friends who are regulars. Every visit has been amazing. I especially love that my wife, a vegetarian enjoys their veggie options so much! Not always easy for vegetarians to feel taken care of at a sushi joint. Once again, our dinner was incredible. First pic is all veggie for her, second pic is my favorite rolls and the third is my favorite bite, crab and Wagu...sheer bliss.

I consider myself a sushi snob and I'm willing to pay $$$$ for quality sushi. Denver, unfortunately has a lot of overpriced sushi restaurants that try to charge an absurd amount for barely above average sushi. Nozomi, on the other hand, has amazing quality for some of the lowest prices you can find in the city. This isn’t a high end sushi restaurant but it’s good or nice enough for a dinner date, celebration, or casual meal! Their quality and fish to rice ratio is not only amazing but they do a great job at dressing their dishes appropriately with balanced sauces and simple garnishes. You can find amazing deals for sushi, kitchen apps, and drink on their happy hour menu which is from 4:30-6:00PM. I dined for the first time in early 2024 when I had visited from out of the state and I was very impressed. At the time, their walls were white. I moved to the city this year and got to dine in recently and the walls are black. The ambience is much nicer. The service was amazing and fast. The restaurant was filling up which was great to see for the restaurant. We asked if they do anything for birthdays and they brought out a matcha icing flavored cake. It was a nice way to end our meal. The temaki hand rolls on happy hour, chilli tofu, sake toro nigiri, hotate jalepeno crudo, and red dragon roll were some of our favorites of our meal. They don't skimp out on the fish portions for the hand rolls. Nozomi is now going to be my go to sushi restaurant in Denver! Seriously come try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Google
What a great restaurant ! Fish is really fresh , love their salmon belly with wagyu beef on top, it’s even better than most of sushi that I had in LA , and I was amazed how reasonable the price is , staff are so friendly, it’s always on my top list to go every time I’m in Denver

Google
This was a great place to come for our first visit, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for date night! Even though we had our five-month-old with us. We were seated immediately, and the staff went out of their way to make special accommodations so our stroller could stay right by the table. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive—everything you’d hope for. The sushi was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great sushi experience in the Mountain area

Do yourself a favor and order nigiri at this place! One of the best I’ve tasted in Denver. Better than Sushi Den and as good as Temaki Den for a lower price. We tried several different nigiri—bluefin toro, maguro, hamachi, albacore, red snapper, engawa, hotate, surf clam, and unagi, some of which were seared. They were all fantastic. The seafood ingredients were high quality, prepared well, and had a nice weight to them, which was well balanced by the rice. Wasabi wasn’t placed between the ingredients and the rice but was offered on the side of the plate. Instead, they had their own pepper-based salsa on top of some of them. I personally prefer the authentic style of having wasabi inside, but this is sort of the standard way here in Denver. Karaage was okay, however. A bit of ginger and some more soy sauce in the marinade (or simply marinating a bit more) would definitely enhance the flavors. A slightly thicker starch on the fried skin would also give a more satisfying chewy bite to the crust. The miso soup was also okay, a bit on the saltier side. It could have a little less sodium but a deeper dashi base. Most people seemed to order rolls from the happy hour menu, which doesn’t include nigiri. I’m very glad that we ordered off the regular menu instead. The atmosphere was good enough. The service was attentive.

First time here and immediately fell in love! With everything! The service was kind, genuine and quick. The atmosphere is intimate, clean and modern. And, of course, the food! Just fantastic! The best bang-for-the-buck in my opinion. $10 for a blue crab roll stuffed with real crab and not overly coated in rice is a great deal to me! We tried a few apps, rolls and nigiri as well as some sake. They have a good selection for anyone’s needs. The fried tuna appetizer is a must! Got to try the wagyu, lobster and blue crab nigiri. $8 for one piece isn’t cheap but it is a fair price for how truly delicious each one was! If you just came here for a few rolls and a soda, you wouldn’t have to spend much to get a great quality and delicious meal. This has now become my go-to place for sushi! I used to go to sushi sasa because I enjoyed the quality for the dollar ratio but they closed! So this place is just as good if not better and I will be a regular here!

Google
Great quality. Cute vibe inside but nothing crazy. The speciality roll options were more unique than the typical options you see in Denver but would recommend. Also more sashimi and nigiri options than most sushi restaurants in Denver.

Yelp
Why have I been sleeping on this place for the last two years? Hot damn, the Nozomi team is slinging high quality soosh!! Made the mistake of not making a reservation, definitely do so on a weekend! Best part is you can make the rezy right on their Yelp page. The restaurant was absolutely slammed without an empty seat. Which I'm not going to lie, was incredible to see during these tough times for restaurants; especially in winter. We waited 15 minutes and scored a table. No harm, no foul. My favorite items to order when I go out for sushi is nigiri. I find the combination of raw fish on top of rice to be the pinnacle of seeing how great the fish is on its own, while still getting the bite of rice we all want. The nigiri I had was outstanding. 10/10 wouldn't change a thing. Fresh, buttery, and melted in my mouth. Mmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! We split various rolls and these were great, too. I'd say 4 stars compared to the nigiri. However, they were nicely presented and rolled appropriately where the components didn't fall out while eating. I have to order seaweed salad to start and this portion was hulk-sized! I thought the price was a little high initially, but now I see why. Can easily split between two people! This hidden gem needs to be on your sushi radar for a date night or large group together. Prices aren't exorbitant, table service was quick, and the quality of sushi was excellent. I hope you stay busy, Nozomi!

Yelp
I have come in a couple of times and each time, I am always pleasantly surprised!! This cute little restaurant hasn't let me down yet. Each time, I came in around the time they opened and ordered from their happy hour menu. They've got great options on their happy hour menu! The space is smaller, and can get packed pretty quickly. As it gets more busy, service does slow down more, which is understandable. However, I haven't had any moments where the wait for a server to attend to my group was unbearable. Though, if you're in a rush or tend to prefer quicker service, this might be a turn off for you. All of their food options are great! One thing I noticed is their "age tofu" which I believe is their take on an agedashi tofu is not traditional. It's like little fried cubes of tofu and just a small dipping sauce on the side. It's good, but not quite like how other places do it, and I think I prefer the more "traditional" way where the tofu blocks are bigger and soaked in the sauce. That's just one thing that I noticed, but otherwise, everything I've had there is great!

Yelp
We were seated and didn't get water for 10 min or a server for 20. We were there an hour and didn't have any food at our table. $20 wagyu skewer was well done and tasted microwaved but was ok for a 15 yr old celebrating her birthday that was mentioned but never acknowledged which fine if they don't do anything for them. None of the popular dishes listed on Yelp were on the menu. Our rolls were great and the corn pudding dessert outshined the coconut rice cake. Our dinner should definitely not have taken over 2 hours.

Yelp
My sister has been telling me about this sushi spot and I finally got the chance to try it! We came with a large group of about 9 of us and had a reservation. The restaurant was packed! I just let my sister's boyfriend order for the group but everything was really good. The standouts were definitely the toro, sashimi appetizers, and the seared salmon. They all tasted really fresh and buttery. The service was top notch and they were super attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Would definitely come back here for sushi if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
Wow, this place was poppin'! I stopped by on a Saturday without a reservation and got super lucky snagging a spot at the bar, definitely recommend making reservations on weekends. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the night. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date or intimate one-on-one conversation. It's a smaller space, so probably not ideal for large groups, but that's part of its charm, it feels personal and lively without being overcrowded. Free two hour parking around this cute neighborhood!

Yelp
This is an amazing sushi restaurant. The food is extremely fresh. The food here is a little pricey. Every single roll we had was extremely great. The wine and saki menu is very good. Service was terrible. We had to flag the waiter down to order, ask for more, the check, and to pay. I would have given this place a 5 if service wasn't so bad. It took us a little over 45 mins to place our order and another 45- 1 hour to get the food.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday at Nozomi! It was my first time at this place but it became my new favorite for omakase in Denver. Fish was super fresh and every piece was served like a piece of art. I loved their black cod, it was incredible! My husband's favorite was the Hokkaido scallop. The service was very good, friendly and fast! The place is small and cozy which makes for private experience! I highly recommend this place, it's a true gem!

Yelp
Outstanding all around, but especially the food. We had sushi - some nigiri and rolls - some of the best I've had in awhile. We will be back - hopefully soon.

Yelp
I feel like good, quality sushi is hard to find! But Nozomi is one of the great ones! Everything we ordered tasted so fresh and delicious! The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night. But it was nice to not feel rushed. Overall, it was so good and I will definitely go back!

Yelp
We enjoy coming to Nozomi Sushi, the food is good and the weekend happy hour is a nice perk. That said, we were surprised (and a bit disappointed) to be charged $1 for a tiny squirt of sriracha. The place could also use a deep clean, as the tables and floors weren't very tidy during our visit. With a little more attention to detail, this could easily be a great spot. 3.5 stars.

Yelp
Good happy hour. Food was really fresh and tasty. I wish they had more variety on their happy hour menu but other than that, it was great! Fast, attentive service and the inside is very cute.

Yelp
Surprisingly good for a random sushi spot in Denver that was open for lunch on Saturday. The original plan was to go to a fancier sushi spot but they were only open for lunch on weekdays. While not the most comprehensive menu for nigiri everything we tried was fresh, including uni and toro. The spicy tuna rice was tempura style rice which was a little different, not my favorite version but still tasty. If I lived in the area I could see this being a neighborhood go-to spot.

Yelp
We've been to Ototo, Sushi Den, and Temaki Den, and while this spot might not be as fancy as those, it's truly a hidden gem. It has officially joined our top sushi list! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the sushi was absolutely phenomenal. We didn't take too many photos because we were so busy scarfing it down--it was just that delicious. If you're looking for amazing sushi in a cozy, unpretentious setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I went to Nozomi on a Sunday night. It was a lovely evening with delicious food and fast service! Street parking was easy, and we were greeted when we walked in. We had a reservation, but it wasn't needed for a Sunday night. We were in a bit of a rush, but our server was on top of it and very kind! The ambiance was very nice with muted lighting. Tables are a little close together but nothing too bad. There were four sushi chefs working which helped us get our food quickly. We had the Crab Cheese Wontons, Salmon Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Sweet Potato Roll. All were great and very fresh! Prices weren't crazy. My only complaint is that the Diet Coke doesn't have free refills and comes in a plastic bottle. ;)

Yelp
Two people recommended Nozomi to me. I was finally able to stop in for few pieces and rolls. I can't believe it took me so long to stop in. The nigiri was amazing especially the salmon belly. It was melt in your mouth soft. I highly recommend the crazy tuna roll, full of flavor. Prices are average but, the quality is some of the best I have had in Denver.
google avatar

Brent C.

Yelp
Ambiance was horrible...so loud. Two big groups that were trying to out yell the other. food was mostly pretty good. the blue fin tuna (which you always pay up for) was not an ideal cut, super chewy. If it was known that they installed sound deadening ceiling panels, I might go back

Yelp
We went last night for a friend's birthday. The staff was very nice and friendly. The sushi missed the mark for me. We ordered a lot of things, crab cheese wontons, miso soup, shishito peppers, edamame, nigiri, sashimi and lots of sushi. The crab cheese wontons were really good! I appreciated that they were a bit softer so I didn't hurt the inside of my mouth like you normally do when the wonton is super crispy. My husband and I got the unagi nigiri and omg it was so good!!! It was huge, flavorful and amazing!! We also had the black dragon roll, the Philly roll and the yellowtail. The Philly was fine. The yellowtail and black dragon were disappointing. The yellowtail just had absolutely no flavor and the fish felt weird. The black dragon - it had shrimp tempura inside it - but the shell was still on the shrimp. So as we were eating different bites of the roll - we were getting crunchy shell chunks and that really just turned us off the roll.. overall the sushi was good. Not great, just fine

Yelp
I know this review will go against most opinions from recent visits but there were several things that played out during our meal that just weren't up to standard to get higher than 2 stars. We ordered water and drinks right away which came out quickly but then we were constantly being hovered over while we all made our dinner choices. Mind you, one person was in the bathroom at first and then they also only gave us 1 menu for our entire table to share so that kinda makes it impossible to make timely choices. It was noticeable on how many times our server came by waiting and that is just rude. We ordered the Snow Break, Godzilla and Dynamite rolls along with miso soup, seaweed salad and a snow crab wagyu piece. They could have taken the appetizer menu from us if they were in such a hurry. Miso soup was standard, the seaweed salad for $7.50 was a large proportion so good on that and the snow crab wagyu was good and also a good size for the $7.00. The snow break was by far the best roll out of our three rolls, the Godzilla was also good but when paying for the highest priced item you pretty much expect it to be the best tasting too. Then there was the Dynamite, it was large in size however that was only because there almost 1/2 inch of rice rolled around everything and when biting into it, it was nothing but mush and you taste any of the other ingredients listed for the roll. We eat a lot of sushi and for Ben to not like his roll enough to finish it says a lot. My MIL took a bite and just shook her head in dislike so I wasn't even going to try it but he asked me as well for a clear opinion. I cut off most of the rice so I could try to taste the fish in the middle, and it was so bland. I could not taste any of the ingredients. I tried to get it down but I ended up taking my napkin and disposing of my bite in there. I couldn't do it. We were asked if we wanted boxes as soon as it appeared we were done eating, which would be fine but we were still finishing our drinks. As soon as the boxes came out, the hovering around our table started again. And again. To add to the bad service for basically harassing us, we asked them to lower one of the window blinds because the sun was right in two of our eyes and the table behind us and we're told, "I have to ask my coworker" and never heard a word back from anyone. It wasn't pleasant to have to hold a hand up in front of your eyes while trying to talk during dinner but sure... why not? More hovering continued once we signed check to the point where the server came over while we were still there, took the receipt booklet and opened it right in front of us to see what her tip was. That is so rude. Ben did not take too kindly to that. So unfortunately, we will not return and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Good thing there are plenty of sushi options.

Yelp
Love Nozomi downn. We come here because it is close to my boyfriend's studio. It's always a lovely experience. The servers are sweet and check back on the table every so often. We usually order a bottle of sake and a decent amount of rolls. The spicy edamame is delicious with a good hit of spice. Our most recent visit we had a goal of ordering enough sushi to get the boat. They bring you a wooden boat with all the rolls you order if you order maybe like 5 different ones. And we achieved it! The sweet potato roll is a favorite as well as the jalapeño yellowtail. The price is also quite good for what you get. The quality is fine, not super amazing like the higher end places in Denver, but good nonetheless. This place is a great spot for a casual sushi lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Really great spot with awesome service. We made a reservation for a friend's birthday and even with a few hiccups on our part they were super accommodating. I feel like most restaurants will be annoyed with you for last minute changes (and rightfully so), but our servers at Nozomi weren't at all. It was so refreshing. The appetizers, nigiri, and sashimi were all fantastic. I will say I was a bit disappointed in the specialty rolls as I felt they were a little heavy on rice and lacking a bit of flavor. But I'd definitely go back for the quality of fish and load up on apps and nigiri! -- also side note- they were super accommodating with a 1 year old!

Nicole S.

Yelp
I recently visited for their weekend happy hour (until 5pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) and was just as impressed with their services, quality, and offerings! I love their hand rolls and wanted to sample even more. I look forward to making this my go-to sushi spot. It was not too busy on a Saturday at 4:30pm but by the time we left, it was starting to fill up. Their service was extremely quick (I think our first sushi bites were served in less than 5 minutes from ordering)! They are super nice and I always have a lovely experience here.
google avatar

Piper C.

Yelp
We waited for quite a while for counter service though we definitely didn't need to do that. There was no added service or benefit to being at the counter versus a table. The food was pretty decent, came quick and the place was packed. Would go back due to proximity to our house, but wouldn't say it was the best sushi we've had in town.
google avatar

Natalie W.

Yelp
Was so pleasantly surprised with this place. Really quality sushi and nice sized rolls for a reasonable price. I'll totally be back! I think we got lucky with there being an open spot at the bar on a Saturday night, will make a reservation next time.

Yelp
For anyone who has had California sushi, this is not 5-star, it's realistically a 1.5-star. For reference a 5-star = sugarfish Newport Beach or Nobu. Nozomi is on par with store bought sushi Barely average. If you're a tourist looking for good sushi, find somewhere else and don't waste the trip here. Key points: The fish is on the rubbery side, not melting in your mouth. They do not cater to any health requests or cook ANYTHING. Even after I offered to pay extra cost and advised shellfish allergy. I've never had this problem at any other restaurant. Miso soup was like the packaged store packets. My party members ate 1 piece of albacore Sashimi and began to feel sick. Plus side: The waiter was very nice. The waitresses had a bad attitude and ignored my questions by offering me other sushi that i stated I'm allergic too. I'd advise Her to learn customer service to increase tips. This place was almost empty when we were there, she wasn't exactly bustling with busy orders. Sarcastically per my party, they want to add the beer was good

Yelp
We went on a Monday to check out happy hour after a friend recommended it. The place is in a cute and modern space on a corner in Sunnyside. We were greeted and sat right away and the service was very attentive. As far as the food - we had some temaki and maki, it was good but not great. The hand rolls fell apart immediately, I love hand rolls and I didn't think they were near as good as those I've had in the past. I'd prioritize some other local spots for basic sushi over coming back to this location.

Yelp
What a wonderful sushi meal we had last week! This place quickly jumped to the top of my go to list for my go to sushi spot. The menu had a bunch of great options and was pretty affordable. We went for dinner, but took a look at their happy hour menu and that's for sure what I'm coming back for next time. Great for groups, amazing attentive service and most importantly, GREAT QUALITY FISH. This satisfied my sushi craving, but I know I'll be back again soon!!!

Yelp
Booked a reservation for my niece's 16th birthday and she really wanted sushi. Saw the good reviews here so I was sure this would be a great new spot to try. Upon sitting down, we were greeted with not many words. Soon to find out I think there was a language barrier. We were never asked if we wanted something to drink. We marked our items we wanted on a piece of paper they give you with the menu. As you eat they put the receipt ticket of what you ordered on the edge of the table or a chair and mark off items as you receive them. Not a great feeling as a guest. We weren't super impressed with the few items we got. Even worse than that, shortly after, 2 of the 3 of us didn't feel quite right. I would not go back again.

Yelp
We made reservations here and seated right away. Sushi was very good and prices were great for Denver! We didn't have a lot of server interaction, but she was prompt and our sushi "yacht" was a work of art!

Yelp
I definitely recommend this place, very cozy and warm atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and the temaki was excellent.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 630, ordered 2 rolls and seaweed salad. Our seaweed salad came out within 5 minutes but at 740 I let our server know we were still waiting for our rolls. They came out 10 minutes later. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or lost our ticket but it took a verrrrrrrrry long time to get our food. We did the red dragon roll and rainbow roll. Both were good.

Yelp
I was searching for a Japanese restaurant to celebrate a birthday with friends, and found Nozomi after searching online and seeing their quite good yelp reviews. The B-day was on a Friday, so we lucked out because they open earlier on Fridays and their happy hour begins when they open at noon. The happy hour menu choices were plentiful and extremely reasonably priced...especially for the portion sizes. By the time we finished our meal, between the four of us, we must have ordered 15 dishes off both the HH menu and the regular menu. It was all quite delicious. The Miso eggplant still has me drooling...as does the miso cod, the Kobe fried rice and the hamachi crudo. The decor is very comfortable and modern. The staff was friendly and both patient and attentive. Nozomi, we will be back and we have already been sharing our experience with friends and family.

Yelp
This has quickly become one of my go to spots for sushi I'm Denver. It's a quaint sushi spot and the sushi chefs at the bar look like they're all Japanese, so you know it's going to be good. The sushi is super fresh, and they dress their nigiri to give it extra flavor and pop. Their rolls are also really well made with great sushi rice and interesting sauces and topping combinations. Though a little pricey, it's definitely worth it. Some highlights for me on the menu are their salmon belly nigiri, miso eggplant, and the red dragon roll.

Yelp
Great sushi at good value! Happy hours prices are pretty good, you can get 3 Temaki hand rolls for $12, and the maki cut rolls for a couple of bucks, along with sides like miso soup and shishito peppers. Fish tasted like good quality, fresh, and good portion size for the price. Service was lovely, they were friendly, attentive. We would definitely come back

Yelp
Literally the best meal of my life. I've had fine dining on both coasts, Europe, and Vegas, and this was an incredible experience. Even my girlfriend's picky daughter loved her food. We got lobster, Wagyu steak, six different rolls, plus dumplings, soup, and seaweed salad. And walked out with only a tiny box and keeping in mind my girlfriend ate minimally because of a recent surgery. The owner and the staff were incredibly attentive, and the owner was working so hard you would never know it was her place! I went back to get take-out, it was incredible too! The rolls are tight and expertly made. I absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere clean bathrooms. It smells incredible and they have this jelly shot and peach sake that are delicious. Well done! Thank you for multiple memorable experiences!!! - Dustin and Jamie

Yelp
This spring we summited the sushi world with an omakase at Michelin-starred Udatsu Sushi in Tokyo. Since then we've bounced from restaurant in restaurant in our hometown of Chicago trying in vain to equal the experience. Maybe Nozomi isn't Udatsu, but the quality, presentation and service was as good--if not better--than any of our Chicago go-to's. We worked our way though some incredible sashimi and nigiri--the black cod was out-of-this world--before wrapping up with a couple makis. Service was impeccable. Denver, I hope you know how good you've got it!

Yelp
We love Nozomi! What a quaint little spot with great food and REAL CRAB! Love that they have delicious items on their happy hour and for a more than reasonable price. The service is always spot on and kind. I love going to their happy hour, it's literally the best! Their yellowtail always seems the freshest to me.

Yelp
The Tepamaki hand rolls were delicious! I will visit Nozomi when I'm back in town! The waiter was very attentive. My water glass was refilled often! I arrived during Happy Hour. Happy Hour ends at 5:00pm on Friday. I will remember that for future visits!

Yelp
I love sitting at the bar at Nozomi. The sushi is delicious and it's fun to watch the chefs. I especially love the spicy tuna on crispy rice. So lucky to have it in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We happened upon this little unassuming place on a Sunday night. It was pretty crowded but got seats at the sushi bar right away. The sushi was some of the freshest I've ever had, and I was visiting from Florida! There were 6 sushi chefs working away and the food we saw coming out looked delicious. The tuna was buttery and the rolls were tasty. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I love this place! I come with my boyfriend every Sunday and it's always delicious and amazing service. I suggest getting a bar spot is you're only with two people. Our personal favorite order is a cold Asahi, miso, spicy edamame, and cucumber salad to start. Then the Sake Toro (best nigiri piece), Wagyu, the Bluefin, and sometimes the scallop and eel. I LOVE NOZOMI!

Yelp
We came here Monday for happy hour right before our flight back to Austin. It is such an unassuming location in the LOHI area. It was quiet when we arrived since it was a Monday at 4:30 pm. Its a pretty dark restaurant with a lot of seating throughout. We were greeted promptly and sat at the front back of the restaurant, which accommodated our luggage. We didn't order anything off the regular menu, so I can't attest to the items on the normal menu, but the Happy Hour is really where it is at! The items we tried were the 3 temaki rolls for $12 (salmon, spicy salmon, and yellowtail), we ordered shishito peppers, shumai, and two rolls (Philadelphia and Salmon). Everything came out quickly, and all the fish cuts were fresh and delicious! If we are back in Denver, we will definitely come back to check out more of the menu!

Yelp
This is our favorite sushi spot in Denver! Ever since we moved here, we have always been hesitant with eating sushi (landlocked state). But Nozomi is top notch! We feel at home coming here and haven't gone to any other sushi spot in Denver after finding Nozomi. The fish is so fresh and prepared perfectly. The service is also fast, everyone is very welcoming. We always try to sit up at the sushi bar so we can see all the creations. We like simple sushi/nigiri. We always get the tuna, salmon, scallop (chefs kiss), and yellow tail. I forgot to take pictures of the nigiri we ordered but it looked and tasted amazing (blue fin tuna and salmon)! Also have to get some saki while you're there! Go check them out!

Yelp
This was our second time at Nozomi. We visited the first time on July 4th because we couldn't find other sushi places open on that day close by to our place. It was such a pleasant surprise to land at such good sushi joint! The second time we showed up with no reservation (not the best idea) but the manager recognized us and put us on the wait list right away. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our favorite dishes. I love simple high quality ingredients and they do not disappoint. The Snapper sashimi and miso eggplant are my favorite. We will keep coming and try more things!

Yelp
This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Denver. Period. I almost hesitated to review this place since everyone is going to find out what a gem it is and will become an overcrowded sushi den 2.0. But alas-- duty calls. First of all, the sashimi quality is on par with sushi den period. Their crudo sashimi appetizers are incredible, like stop in your tracks holy guacamole WOW. So if you come here you have to get the salmon (sake) sashimi appetizer because when you do you will want to order a second. Which I have done almost every time I have gone there. Oops. Their rolls are also really good, special shout out to the king roll, Tejon roll, and snow beauty roll as well. That said if you want a sashimi fix, the crudo appetizers and sashimi really shine here. In addition to the food, this restaurant has navigated my sesame allergy immaculately free of errors, always making us feel cared for. It's hard to find a restaurant as a reliable. If you have dinner at nozomi, you WILL have a delicious meal and a wonderful time to boot.

Yelp
Another great gem found by Yelp! Took a few tries, but this was suggested! Nestled in a cute neighborhood in Denver this place was perfect. We sat at the bar. I kept trying to peak at the guys that were making sushi lol. I had the miso soup which hit the spot. We had the most delicious crab wontons. I love maki rolls so we got the salmon and they do not skimp! So yummy! We shared the King Roll. Shrimp tempura, mango, cucumber topped with lobster salad. Best sushi I've had in a while. The mango gave a sweet touch!! Cute place with a great atmosphere and great sushi!

Yelp
What a find! We stumbled across Nozomi thanks to other reviews and it exceeded all of our expectations. The fish selection was incredibly fresh and the options plentiful. Delicious is an understatement! If I could give it 10 stars I would without hesitation.

Yelp
I have been wanting to check out Nozomi because I noticed their happy hour menu looked fantastic. We sat at the sushi bar and had an entire sushi dinner for about $60! The happy hour offers 3 hand rolls for $12 and $6 maki. We tried the eel avocado and spicy salmon hand rolls, spicy yellowtail maki, and eel avocado maki. All of it was made right in front of us and was very fresh. We ordered a scallop and bluefin tuna nigiri which was not on the happy hour menu but was melt in your mouth good! I can wait to come back for the full dinner service, but happy hour is definitely worth the visit!
