Google
I absolutely loved nuar! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing a perfect spot to just chill and enjoy the moment. Thai tea and coconut ice cream, and both were incredibly good. If you’re looking for authentic Thai desserts, I highly recommend checking this place out. The Thai tea flavors that truly reminded me of Thailand, and the coconut ice cream gave off a true Thai vibe. The toppings were super tasty too. It’s such a refreshing dessert, especially in summer. If you’re craving dessert and truly Thai, MUST TRY!

Google
I have been coming here since it first opened and they never disappoint. The taste of the tea, snacks, and all their seasonal items are always consistent and on point. The best thing about this place is there is something for everyone. It is truly a must try dessert place in NYC. Their kaya toast is literally amazing. Love love love their signature Thai tea also. 5 stars!!

Google
Such a cute hidden gem! Nuar is a small, chic spot with Thai summer vibes and so many unique Thai tea-flavored drinks and desserts. I tried the Thai Tea on Cloud, Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte, Sabai Sunset, and Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream, and I seriously loved every single one. The flavors were creative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back and try the whole menu. If you’re a Thai tea lover (or just want something different and delicious), definitely check this place out!

Google
I love Thai tea so we absolutely had to try Nuar during our quick visit in the city. The space is tiny, with only four stools and one bench. When the weather is nice, there is seating outside in the public green space. We got the Thai Tea Float and Thai Tea Lemonade Soda. I liked how the float had a strong tea taste, which was balanced with the subtle sweetness of the ice cream. The soda was a nice and refreshing palate cleaner. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Google
Came here specifically to try their Thai tea flavored items. We got the Thai toast with the ice cream along with their signature Thai tea and loved it. The tea is definitely not the usual packaged/powdered version and may feel off if that’s the flavor you were craving. I think concept is good and would love to see them expand.

Google
Cute Thai spot opened recently and it’s so good! I love their Thai tea and Kaya toasts! I do prefer my Thai tea to be sweeter as I have a slight sweet tooth, you can always request for it to be sweeter either during when you pay or after tasting it. It’s a strong Thai tea taste hence why the color is darker, those that has never had Thai tea before may be thrown off at first how strong it can be, but rest assure it’s refreshing and good! Try their Kaya toast or ice cream too, very delicious and popular choices on the menu!

Google
Definitely the place to be if you’re craving authentic Thai tea. Loved how it isn’t too sweet while still has the rich flavour of Thai tea. While you’re here, don’t sleep on the Pandan Kaya Toast - it is amazing! 10/10 highly recommend.

Google
My new favorite Thai tea / dessert spot. You can actually taste the tea in the Thai tea. The ice cream is great, and the mango sticky rice ice cream is better than actual mango sticky rice I’ve had at Thai restaurants. Can’t wait to go back

Yelp
Delicious! Need to go back and bring more family and friends. It's a small indoor space but there's places to sit outside. Friendly service, easy to order. Must try the parfait! It's the best of both worlds with the kaya toast and ice cream on top. Good to split. I had the pandan for both and was nervous I wouldn't like it having been exposed to lots of delicious pandan flavors previously, but I absolutely did enjoy this! I'd go back for it again, and loved the parfait enough that I'd want to try the Thai Tea version next time. The Thai iced tea lemonade and Thai iced tea had a bitter taste, and I'm not sure if that's the authentic flavor that I'm unused to or if it was truly oversteeped. I enjoyed them as a tea lover, but the parfait stole the show and was the best thing I ate all day by far. Must return for it!

Yelp
really wanted to like this place but i didnt. my thai tea latte just tasted like watered down chocolate milk and perhaps im just not used to authentic thai tea but it wasn't something i wanted to pay that much for. my boyfriend's drink and mine also tasted different despite being the same thing. maybe just get one latte and see if you like the taste first before committing ‍‍ did not get a chance to try the dessert

Yelp
Cute and aesthetic spot to get thai tea and other desserts with friendly staff! I got the thai tea ice cream and it had a really good/strong thai tea flavor which I love. The pandan ice cream wasn't too overpowering and balanced well. My favorite was the summer special, which was like a mango sticky rice dessert with sticky rice and mango ice cream. Overall, a great spot for desserts, but not sure if I would pay $7-$8 for a thai iced tea.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute Thai dessert spot with Thai toast, ice cream, and drinks! We got the summer special, which was a play on mango sticky rice (mango ice cream topped with mango puree and sticky rice on the side). I wished the mango flavor in the ice cream was stronger, and I wished there was more sticky rice, but overall it was solid. Would love to come back to try their toast desserts (especially the pandan/kaya flavors) and their Thai tea at some point.

Yelp
Once my friend told me about a place called nuar that serves Specialty Thai Ice teas and desserts, I knew I had to stop by and try them out. nuar is located at 48 W 27th St in NYC between 27th street and 6th avenue. Right outside there is a space with a few benches and trees and inside there are 4 countertop stools and a bench. I've ordered their Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte that is available in 12oz or 16oz sizes. The Thai Tea Latte has good taste and is creamy and magnificent. It is not sweet like the typical iced Thai tea latte's I've had before. The Thai Tea Kaya Toast had pieces of perfectly cut square toast with a nutty topping. I really enjoyed the toast, but some pieces were drowning in the topping and I preferred the pieces that were not submerged. Service is friendly and it doesn't take long for your order to be ready. I'll definitely come back for their Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte.

Yelp
Such a yummy treat! The store itself is small but plenty of room to enjoy your order. I Ordered the Pandan parfait and Thai tea. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the parfait- the flavors and textures tasted so good! Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a sweet treat but nice and refreshing!

Yelp
Nuar is a small dessert cafe known for their Thai tea and sweets. The interior has a bench and a few high-top bar seats that was perfect for people watching. PARFAIT (KAYA TOAST + ICE CREAM) - 15 + pandan kaya toast + Thai tea ice cream I was worried this would be too sweet, but fortunately, it was perfect! The pandan cream was delicious, and the Thai iced tea ice cream was smooth and creamy. My friend didn't think it tasted that much like Thai iced tea, but I was fine with it. The graham cracked crumble added a nice crunchy texture. The white bread used for toast was pretty ordinary and not very toasted. Besides that, it was a delicious dessert that my friend and I enjoyed together.

Yelp
A small shop, but the staff was very friendly. A couple of seats available inside. We ordered a Thai tea and it was unlike any Thai tea I've had before. Very heavy on the tea flavor and definitely not too sweet. It was delicious, but took a bit to get used to. Next time, I'll definitely try their version of brick toast!
google avatar

Yelp
Great quick service if there's no line. Although I appreciate that they make the Thai tea not too sweet and with oat milk options, I didn't think it was that special for the price you pay. It might be because so much of the flavor comes from the condensed milk. For a place specializing in Thai tea, I wish they had a lactose free condensed milk. Cute shop though, and love that it's next to a park area.

Yelp
It used to be damn hard to find kaya toast in the city. Then came Kopitiam, and then Urban Hawker, and now a version from Thailand is available at this pleasant specialized cafe in Flatiron that makes excellent use of the public plaza outside. In addition to kaya jam, the buttered toast is served with a delicious pandan cream on top. Perhaps soft poached eggs aren't as popular as a pairing in Thailand, as the only add-on options are sweet - I would probably skip the azuki bean next time and have the toast plain, as it already has plenty of flavor.

Yelp
The ice cream is good but I don't think it's worth the price. For $8.50 I would rather go to an ice cream shop with more variety of flavors and a smoother gelato texture. Service was quick and there are a few seats inside but the space is quite small.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great spot for chai lovers! I think the chai community could use a little love! This place is so aesthetically pleasing! Great for cute little photoshoots and I love the decor. The service is amazing! I enjoy the toast and the I got the hot chai! Overall I see myself coming back!!
google avatar

Yelp
The interior is pretty small with only a few counter seating but there's an outdoor area with some benches right outside. For $15, I got the parfait with the pandan ice cream and Thai tea kaya toast below. Not sure if I would say it's 100% worth the price but I personally really love honey toast so this definitely hit the sweet spot for me. I wish I could taste the Pandan and Thai tea flavor a little bit more though. Overall would come back if I was craving something sweet and filling!

Yelp
Staffs were friendly. Ordered Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte and Pandan Kaya Toast which were delicious! Sweet Thai Tea has no milk. Only the latte has milk. There are two choices of drinks: 12 oz and 16 oz. They have outdoor courtyard which you can sit and enjoy your desserts and drink or sit inside. They sold out their Thai Tea Kaya Toast which was super popular. Would like to try it next time. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5

Yelp
Naur is one of those hidden gems that's easy to miss but hard to forget once you try it. I first got the Thai tea with oat milk, which was super smooth and flavorful--not overly sweet like a lot of other places. I ended up coming back just to try the Thai tea without milk, and honestly, both versions were great in their own way. You can really taste the tea itself, which I appreciated. The inside of the shop is pretty small, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot, but they do have a nice outdoor patio if you want to chill for a bit. It's a great place to take a break, catch up with a friend, or just sip on something that doesn't taste like pure sugar. If you're into cleaner, more balanced Thai drinks, this spot's definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Ordered the Pandan Kaya Toast. This is such a cool dessert that is worth trying, the bread is perfectly toasted and drizzled with a pandan condensed milk on top that adds a touch of sweetness. It's visually appealing and tastes just as you would expect. Definitely would recommend getting this if you can't decide. Location is a very slim storefront but with lots of depth going inside; it's located next to a small park so there is plenty of shaded seating area on concrete.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place! It is very expensive but worth it. Got sent here from an instagram reel but it definitely was worth the social media hype. The Thai tea is the best Thai tea I have ever had. The owner is Thai and the place is very authentic. We also got the Kaya toast with the pandan ice cream. Overall it was very pricey but worth it! Delicious and on a nice summer day you can sit outside in the beautiful park. Service was very quick too!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute shop serving Thai tea and pandan desserts? Count me in! The Thai tea was strong and the Thai tea ice cream was creamy and had so much flavor! Staff was extremely friendly! There's minimal seating inside but there are a few benches directly outside the store.
google avatar

Fennie W.

Yelp
Super cute spot! Came across it while taking a quick walk with my dog in between my appointments with my patients. The Thai tea is tasty and strong! Would def go back to try the desserts since I didn't get the chance to this time. There are also bench seating area and seating area against the windows facing outside. Very cute!

Yelp
I've seen this spot pop up all over my socials, and as NYC's first dedicated Thai tea café, I was excited to check it out. The space has a minimalist setup and a short menu focused on Thai-style tea drinks and snacks like kaya toast. There was a bit of a wait to order and receive drinks -- likely because only two people were working and each drink is made to order. Signature Thai Tea I really wanted to like this, but I didn't. You can clearly taste the Thai tea leaves -- which is great -- but it leaned too bitter and lacked balance. I felt it needed more milk and sweetness to round it out. There was also a thick, astringent finish after every sip. It made the drink hard to enjoy. 1/5

Yelp
I really loved the vibe of nuar - it's a simple dessert cafe. There are a few high top seats available but overall the space is quite small. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Thai tea toast and I thought it was good but nothing mind blowing. The spread was decent but I think the flavor of the Thai tea wasn't strong enough and the bread was just ordinary. nuar is definitely a cafe that is great for aesthetics and social media and I would be willing to try their drinks, but not sure if I would order their toast again.

Yelp
Came here on impulse while in the area because Ive been hearing so many people rave over it and I really liked it! Like everyone says, the thai tea here is not too sweet like most restaurants make it (although they do have a sweet option if thats what you're looking for). I actually found this tea to have a bit of a nutty taste to it that was very delicious! Loved the inside it was so warm and inviting and on a nice summer day the doors are open to the public park space right next to it. Need to come back and try the toasts because it smelled so good in there.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place because I'd seen so many pictures and videos online, but the signature tea missed the mark for me and my friends. When they say it's a signature thai tea latte, read it as emphasis on the latte part because the drink itself tasted very milky. The drink was both tea forward and milk forward. The tea was strong enough that it almost tasted slightly bitter because the drink itself is not sweet. This is not necessarily a bad thing-- I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so the sweetness level wasn't an issue for me, but I think Thai Iced Teas have a reputation of being a very sweet drink. So if that's what you're looking for, this likely isn't the drink for you. The drink color is also more of a brown than that vibrant orange that Thai Iced Tea usually is. Basically I think when you come here you should manage expectations. For me, I thought the cafe was a Thai Tea cafe, and so to receive a drink that didn't really taste like a Thai Iced Tea was very disorienting. I think nuar offers a new take on Thai Tea that may be worth a try at least once for Thai Tea lovers, but I don't think it's for every palate. I'd love to try their ice cream though!
google avatar

Sunny W.

Yelp
Their ice creams come in one scoop with two toppings included. I got the coconut ice cream and added dried coconut flakes and red bean paste. The texture was denser than I expected and looked like it had a lot of solid ingredients mixed in. I was surprised it came in yellow instead of the usual white. The coconut flavor was a bit milder than I thought, maybe because I was having it with their Thai tea latte. I'd definitely go back for another round. I want to try their pandan ice cream next time too.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
A very cute place to grab a sweet treat (ice cream) or a drink (non-alcoholic). I came on a Tuesday after work, and it was busy! The actual business is a bit of a narrow space but there are a few chairs. There are more places to sit outdoors since it's next to a little public space with benches. I ordered the Thai iced tea ice cream, and to be honest I am not sure it was worth the price ($8+) since it was pretty small (it was good though) so I would probably just get a drink next time. I liked that the Thai iced tea drink was not bright orange nor overly sweet like at some places.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Today I got the Thai Tea Kaya Toast and the Thai Ice Tea Latte. Thai tea Kaya Toast: Meh, can take it or leave it. Not great, not awful. Thai Ice tea latte: Probably the best thai ice tea I've ever had in ny, really good strong tea flavor, sweet but not too sweet. Overall: Will go to again, if you go, definitely get the thai ice tea latte. Super good.
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with any of the flavors. I liked the pandan jam on toast the best. The store is pretty small without much seating though, but it was definitely something you had to eat on a table or bench at least.
google avatar

Elaine T.

Yelp
I came during their opening week and loved their Thai tea that's unlike the overly sweet versions found everywhere else. Unfortunately they were out of the kaya toast when we went, would love to try another time. Bonus that it's close to my office as well, but there was a bit of a wait to order and receive my drink, so I would budget for that next time.
google avatar

Jin Hao Y.

Yelp
The food at the place is okay. The menu isn't exactly big but there is usually a crowd outside of people trying the food. Honestly, I could hardly taste a difference between the Thai tea and Pandan toast as both just tasted like liquid sugar on toast. The food was quite authentic doe I guess.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
I saw so many videos hyping up this place so I came in with high expectations but was quickly disappointed. I usually love thai tea but this place's thai tea latte tasted off (?) and not very delicious. There was not that taste of the condensed milk and it tasted almost artificial and left a bad aftertaste. I shared it with my friend and he also did not like the taste and we ended up throwing out more than half of our drink ://. For the price of nearly $10, the taste was disappointing and not that great. The interior of the place is very cute but they failed to deliver on the main item they specialize in which makes me not want to come back or recommend.

Yelp
this place deserves way more recognition! It specializes in Thai tea and the ice cream was to die for!!! the service is also super friendly and kind highly recommend Thai tea ice cream with cookie crumbles and the coconut waffle
google avatar

Yelp
This place is such a gem! First off the two staff members I interacted with were so friendly! I saw someone post about this spot on Instagram and I knew I had to make this my first stop when I was back in NYC. I few years ago I spent time studying in Thailand and while I was there I fell in love with Thai tea and unfortunately have not found a great spot for it by me yet but I crave it all the time - so I had to stop at nuar as soon as I heard abkj! Their tea is sooooo good! I got just the signature Iced Thai tea latte and it was refreshing and exactly what I wanted. It was not overly sweet (which is how I like mine), the flavor was fantastic. Also the space itself is simple but adorable. The artwork along the walls, the little ordering window. It's just a gorgeous spot! Highly recommend planning a stop at nuar!
google avatar

Sandy X.

Yelp
We came here around 5:30 on a Thursday and there was a lot of people. This place has a few seatings and it right near an outside seating space. We got the toast parfait with pandan ice cream. It was super delicious. I love the pandan ice cream with a good nice and refreshing pandan taste. The toast was drizzled with a thai tea syrup. I would come back again to try their thai tea and kaya toast.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
nuar is a new tea and dessert spot that opened up in the Nomad area - their menu offers lattes, ice cream, parfaits, floats, and even toasts. You could even add toppings, such as tong muan (Thai crispy waffle), toasted coconut, red bean paste, cookie crumbles, and slated golden beans. We tried: _the Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte +the Thai Tea Lemonade Soda +and, the Pandan Kaya Toast Staff were friendly, and the place is very bright, simple, and clean inside.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
I've been seeing this place on TikTok and finally got to try it! I ordered the Thai tea latte with oat milk and the pandan Kaya toast. The Thai tea latte wasn't too sweet but it's definitely more on the milky side (which makes sense because it has milk vs. other Thai tea might just have condensed milk). I appreciate that they have a lactose free option! The pandan Kaya toast was also good but I'd recommend eating it fresh. I had one piece and it was nice and toasted but I closed to box to walk back a few minutes to my office and then they got soggy and didn't taste as good. There's a nice seating area outside next to the shop as well!
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon and the service was quick. The shop has very limited seating but is connected to an open outdoor public space, so a lot of people were enjoying their drinks there. We both got the signature blend thai tea and were disappointed that that the thai tea flavor wasn't that strong, especially for the price we paid. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but I am curious to try the kaya toast.
google avatar

Miranda L.

Yelp
price - $17 including tax food - 4/5 service - 4/5 ambiance - 4/5 overall, the food and drink was pretty good! i really like the thai ice tea drink cause the thai flavor was really pungent! its not too sweet as well which i really liked. the thai ice cream was really flavorful and it paired really well with the coconut flakes and wafers! there isnt much room inside to chill since this place is lowkey hidden, but if youre lucky youll be able to snag a spot to sit and chill! highly recommend you try this place if youre looking for ORIGINAL THAI ICE TEA :D
google avatar

Marium A.

Yelp
My iced signature Thai tea latte was delicious and perfectly balanced and "not too sweet". My waiting period was about 5 minutes while others who ordered food were waiting 15+ minutes but it's expected with new cafes with high volume so I'm satisfied and the staff seem friendly! Connected to the capitol plaza open to the public, this is a great spot to chill and enjoy the weather with plenty of seating and shade. The prices did seem a bit steep so I did not get the nearly $9 kaya toast since I have kaya jam and toast at home at the moment to satisfy my addiction lol.(ps if you haven't tried kaya with paratha and sunny side up eggs with WHITE pepper powder you haven't lived!) However, I look forward to getting ice cream and drinks here with friends in the summertime!

Yelp
Cute stop for a sweet treat and Thai Tea. Nice place I heard about online. The workers are nice and the cafe is very clean and minimal. I came around four and it was pretty busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice for spring and summer time. Giving 3 stars because (1) it was a bit pricey. I bought a large (~16oz) Signature Thai Tea and the Thai Tea Toast with Ice cream on top + tip of course which came out to 27. I'm not extremely bothered by the price, it just caught me off guard. (2) The Thai Toast is unsurprisingly very delicious and very sweet. A bit too sweet for my liking and will make you very thirsty. (3) The Thai Tea is good but less sweet for my personal preference. It's still very good. Overall I enjoyed my first visit to Naur and will be coming again during the summer when in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Really happy to see a new dessert spot in the area. It's a small shop with just a counter for small groups (no full seating), but it's great for a quick stop. I had the Kaya toast -- little toast cubes with Kaya jam -- and paired it with Thai tea ice cream since they were out of pandan. The Thai tea ice cream is on the richer, slightly bitter side -- not super sweet or milky like other places. Portions were solid, prices felt fair, and the staff was super friendly. Love that we've got this kind of dessert in Manhattan now -- saves me a trip to Queens! Will likely come back to try the pandan ice cream when the crowds die down.

Yelp
I was intrigued by the fact that this place sells mainly Thai tea flavored drinks and desserts so I gave it a shot! Situated next to a public space, it's a good area to grab a drink/dessert and chat. There's roughly seating for 6 people inside. The decor is cute and simple, very clean and the worker was very friendly! Onto the drink and hence the 4 and not 5 star. I was underwhelmed. I'm surprised the signature Thai tea drink was not as orange as regular Thai teas; I've brewed Thai tea before and it was very orange even on your fingers. This makes me think it's a blend of Thai tea with some other black teas perhaps Ceylon or assam. As I drank more, it reminded me a lot of Hong Kong style milk tea. From the less orange color, to the stronger black tea taste, each sip I took felt less and less like the Thai tea I was hoping for. Personally, it did not satisfy my Thai tea expectations. I could be back to try their dessert but for now, it's a cute place to check out if you're in the area and want some Thai flavors!

Yelp
Very cute small shop with an attached courtyard with seating. Ordered the hot thai tea with red bean with pandan toast which was delicious!

Yelp
I love this place so much! They have some of the best ice cream you will ever have! The pandan flavor is my favorite and I love the cookie crumbles and wafer topping options! If you are nearby make sure you don't skip this place, lovely people and the most delicious deserts/ice cream there is!

Yelp
a cute spot with a few seats indoors and plenty of seating otherwise outside -- the signature thai tea latte was a perfect cool treat and pick-me-up for a summer day, balanced with flavor and not overly sweet like thai tea can sometimes be. a little on the pricey side but ended up coming to less than $10 even with tip, which, with how things usually cost in nyc now, isn't too out of the ordinary especially for what you get. it did seem a little understaffed -- i saw one worker working the front and running between the register and the service area, but she was friendly and pretty quick with the drink even with the line.

Yelp
Went afterwork on Thursday in May. There was no wow factor. Signature blend thai tea latte sold out by 430pm. PASSABLE but not great. Mediocre level. I will not be returning. Purchased: 1 Sweet Thai tea - sweet but doesnt taste thai tea 1 Thai tea lemonade - semi sweet&bubbly but no lemonade flavor 1 Thai tea kaya toast - any regular toasted bread with semi sweet dipping sauce. No distinctive flavoring Drinks wasn't too sweet. I like that part. BUT drinks doesnt have thai tea flavor either. Toast was cut up in mini bite size with dipping sauce. It wasn't too sweet like Nutella or jelly spread. BUT... it didn't taste anything like thai tea or Kaya flavor either. Eaten alot of kaya toast while on multiple trips to Singapore. Not the same taste or flavor. $25 plus $3 tip. This wasn't worth $28. Better options available to choose within walking distance that taste great. PRO: relaxing location- it is literally next to quiet 'park' with bench seating built around each of the trees outside.

Yelp
Good prices, very high quality drinks, and great service. We went near closing and found seating and were able to chill and enjoy our drinks. Def will be going back!
