1st time here , service was fast , food was amazing, the mochi ice to die for and the ice delicious . Prices are good for the amount and flavor . I paid about $26 for a bowl of noodles, ice tea and dessert

Underwhelmed. We went to celebrate an occasion, as this place was recommended by a friend. Ambience nice. Parking very very tight. I reparked 3 x to fit within the lines. No handicap spot. Just learnt from some reviews here there’s apparently more parking behind - could you post a sign please? Wouldn’t take much to put up an arrow on a simple sign? Food: Everything overly oily and salty. It’s like eating typical Chinese noodles in a fancy presentation. Service is cold. Waitress more worried about the menu getting messed up so we “surrendered” it after she repeatedly stared and asked for it back. We were gonna keep it to order desserts oh well.

I recently ordered the Nummy noodles, spice level "Insane, no refunds no regrets" 😅 After reading that spice level how could you not? I felt the prevailing flavor was that of Szechuan peppercorns rather than spice in the Scoville sense of the term. I found that distracting, but the noodle texture was good. I would certainlu be back to try the same dish with a lower "spice" level as well as to try other dishes!

Nishi

Google
Small restaurant but delicious noodles served in a Szechuan flavored broth. Yummy veggies and also tried the peanut noodles which had a thick and creamy peanut flavor. Got the nummy noodles but substituted the pork with dried tofu, which I loved! Very nice service and cute place, will come back!

Google
Just Stopped in For Lunch and a lil pot, pork & crab dumplings, pork & crab gyozas, and the Steamed Buns. Very Authentic and Amazing.. I Almost Missed Out on The Steamed Buns. Glad I Didn't... 10/10 I Didn't Give It 4 Stars on the Atmosphere. I Figured They'd Be Busy For Lunch.

Google
Yummy soup dumplings, gyoza and the mummy soup was delicious too. Also the lychee drink is delicious too! Would come again

Update: They have behind the restaurant parking. I just parked in the front because I was new lol. I love the cottage-like feel I get when I'm here. The service was beautiful and the waitress was really nice. The Ramen was perfect and I got Mild which was the perfect amount of spice for me. The ground pork already comes with it in and the Glazed Buns were a great blend of sweet but not overly sweet. The parking is a little tedious but once you find a spot you're set! Will definitely return ❤️.

If asian fair is on your mind no one in west Hartford does it better than nummy! We drive over an hour just to taste the outstanding broth of the little pot(pictured dish) the combinations of texture in the soups is the best I have ever tasted I would definitely recommend trying something even if it's beyond your comfort level because everything they serve here is with care and come out fantastic! Shout out to the owners and staff that always make us feel us accommodated and taken care of!

Yelp
Small place with a cozy vibe. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. You can customize the noodle dishes to add a variety of add-ins and select your preferred spice level. We started with the pork buns. They were pillowy soft and yummy. I had the Mrs. Peanut and the peanuts added such a nice crunchy texture to the noodles. We wanted to try the golden buns, but they were sold out that night. Instead, we ended the meal with vanilla mochi which was a nice frosty counterpoint after eating spicy noodles. They do not serve alcohol, but offer soft drinks and chai (hot & cold). I had the lychee drink and it was fruity, floral and refreshing. It appears like they do a solid takeout business too.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Nummy for a while, and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! I recently went with a friend for a lunch on a Saturday, and they were pretty busy. The menu is simple with a focus on customization through a variety of add-ons. I decided to go with the Nummy Noodles, which felt like the perfect choice on a chilly new England day- a warm, comforting bowl of yummy food. The dish was tasty, and I opted to add an egg for an extra touch. The service was friendly and fast. I snapped a picture of my meal and sent it to my boyfriend, who insisted I grab some for him too. I ordered the Nummy Noodles to go, and the packaging was impressive, with the broth kept separate from the noodles. He enjoyed it as much as I did and made it clear that we will definitely be back to Nummy.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. You can tell it's authentic just from the way everything tastes. We drove 45 minutes to come here and we will keep coming. The soup dumplings alone are worth the trip. The only constructive criticism we might give it just to add a little more meat into the bao bun and it's a hit! You have to try this place out. Fantastic food and for a great price.

Sarah N.

Yelp
I always pass this place since it's down the street from A Dong. I got to try it last night with some friends, and I enjoyed it. I got the Bam Bam Noodles which I guess are Nummy's version of dan dan noodles, and I added tofu skin and wood ear because I felt it would be too plain if I was just eating noodles with pork. I liked the texture and taste of the noodles and pork a lot. I got spicy and it was an enjoyable level of spice; I probably could've eaten extra spicy just fine if I wanted to. The toppings, themselves, were good, but I think next time I would opt for something else like an egg instead. I also got the Lychee of My Eye drink, and it tasted like they just poured the lychee jelly with the juice from the jar into my cup so it was good but not worth the price if you're expecting something homemade. One of my friends got the Mrs. Peanut, which I shared, and I thought that was yummy, too. It was opposite vibes from my Bam Bam Noodles and was creamier and more refreshing. We ate it with a Chinese fried dough stick, and it was a good combo.

L T.

Yelp
Reheated chicken that tastes reheated. Canned corn added for $3. Sticky overcooked noodles these don't seem like udon. Bland flavor almost too sweet to my liking. Sauce tastes like it's from a bottle vs homemade. Service was a bit slow and not very friendly.

Coco G.

Yelp
Great flavors! We enjoyed the dipping sauce of the steamed vegetable gyoza. The grilled eel on rice, the Bam bam noodles with ground pork, and the japchae sweet potato glass noodle soup each offered unique flavors and textures that were delicious to the last bite. Everything smelled and looked so good I forgot to the photos! We were seated right away and served quickly. We ordered medium spicy which was just right. Lots of indoor and some outdoor seating. Limited parking in front.

Ma S.

Yelp
I am not into Asian fusion typically, I find that they often lose focus, the side effect of blending often means nothing really well. However, Nummy is an exception, the Eel on rice (Una don) uses a whole piece of eel instead of multiple sushi sized eel pieces. This is a Japanese dish Una don, yet the Nummy version is more delicious than any of the Japanese Una don I've had in CT. The minced meat part of the dish is a Taiwanese touch, it's very flavorful & forms perfect fusion with the eel, well done! The serving size is small, comes in a 6" bowl, so you'll really need an appetizer to make up the mass. I had the soup dumpling appetizer, it's also very good, less fatty than typical Chinese version, & I could taste the crab roe flavor in it. Interestingly, I heard that the owner is Indian & the Chef ‍ Cantonese, yet together they created a perfect fusion dish between Japanese & Taiwanese, amazing!

Yelp
A solid hot pot with good flavor but lacking depth. Not bad if you never had a hot pot. I was in the area after a very frigid morning. Needed some soup to warm us up, so we opted to go to Nummy's after some quick yelp searching. The place is easy enough to find, lots of signage and right on the corner of a small shopping area. When I came in, there was only two people in the shop. Cashier and cook, who were both working on orders when I came in. After a 5 minute wait we managed to get menus and after another 5 minutes the server came by to take our order. We didn't have a consensus on what toppings we wanted, so we opted for the mega bowl which included them all. We also got some pork steamed buns, just to give them a try. Food took a little while to get to us, about 20 minutes or so to start getting food over to us. But we took pictures and dug in. The steam buns were a little underwhelming. They didn't have enough filling to offset the amount of bread in the bun. The filling had a decent spicy pork flavor, but there wasn't enough to get a bite of filling with each bite of the bun. Which ended up leading to a lot of pure bread bites The mega bowl we ordered medium, and it actually had a reasonable amount of spice to it. Not enough to make it inedible, but enough to add a zing to the dish. As a man who enjoys his spice, this was just the right amount for rapid consumption. The mega bowl didn't have beef or chicken, which was a disappointment. it did have a small amount of each add-in for the bowl, so most of it was there. However, for the price I did feel like we were short changed on what we did end up getting. The highlights for the soup, the broth had a good flavor but needed some salt to help combat the hot oil put into the dish. The mini sausages were tasty, and the egg was hard boiled in soy sauce, which imparted a salty soy flavor into the egg. Not a fan of wood ear mushrooms, nor fish balls. the texture for both was very firm and spongy but didn't pick up any of the flavors of the broth. there wasn't a lot of noodles in this dish either, which if you were to get extra noodles then I would expect a little more. Overall, it's a solid hot pot and there was some components that were good. but the price, the portion, and the lack of staffing does drive the score down a little bit. it's not bad, but I did have a little bit of a lacking experience.

Hannah N.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! I love the authentic flavors and interesting twists. The service is great and staff is friendly. The restaurant has a nice ambiance that is trendy but casual.

Yelp
Great soup, we go here often! They already know our order, feels amazing to just walk in and be recognized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Grace/Piotr M. SZTUKA Jenayah

Yelp
A gem in the area. They have some really good noodle dishes here. The broth for the little pot was my favorite. They let you customize the spice level. I'm not too good with spice, but I wanted to try the mild. It was perfect. It wasn't crazy spicy like how other place to do it. They let you customize the toppings too, which I really liked. The portion sizes are great as well. Coming here on a Sunday night we were seated immediately. We didn't have to wait too long to get our food. I think any of the broth noodle dishes are plentiful but the appetizers are worth a try as well!

Devon W.

Yelp
The food was delicious the service was polite and attentive the atmosphere was quiet and clean.

Yelp
Had a quick stop at this place, noodle soup was below average, noodle was a bit undercooked, nothing to be excited about, ordered soup dumplings, that was a mistake, it felt like one of those packaged ones from grocery store, pretty terrible, but again what can you expect it's Connecticut. I have not been able to find a good soup dumpling place in CT. Only one person worked there so service was a bit slow. I came on a weekday, the place is pretty empty, overall ambiance has a clean and open atmosphere.

Yelp
So happy we found this little gem! Will definitely be returning. The space was smallish but bright because of the windows. Everything we tried was delish, starting with the vegetarian gyoza - yummy steamed green dumplings which did not disappoint! I ordered the Little Pot (soup) because I love the chewy texture of sweet potato noodles. I was a little nervous about the dried tofu skin and wood ear, but ordered as is. No regrets!! I'm not a fan of tofu, but the tofu skin had an interesting texture which I liked and a mild flavor. The wood ear also -- this funny looking mushroom was thin, a little chewy and mild. But I think I enjoyed this soup as much for the interesting textures as the variety of flavors. (Probably would order a different meat next time instead of the minced pork, maybe chicken.) My sister ordered the sticky black sesame rice balls -- a VERY strange experience the first time you try them!! But a delicious dessert! The outside is really chewy and sticky, but as you bite into it and reach the center, it's filled with a sugary sweet paste (?) made from black sesame seeds. Unusual? Yes. But I'd definitely order them again! And you'll be happy if you finish off your meal with a tasty chai tea packed full of zesty spices! Oh! I almost forgot the seaweed salad! Tangy with nice sesame flavor and crunchy seaweed. Always one of my favs!! Don't be put off by the name, it's fabulous!!

Yelp
Numerous times, I thought about ordering from West Hartford's Nummy restaurant through DoorDash, but for no particular reason, I didn't. I'm glad my first Nummy meal was actually at Nummy recently, because it's a lovely restaurant, with a terrific presentation of their dishes, that makes the experience special. Since Nummy is on the end of a long building, the dining area has two sides of windows that allow substantial natural lighting in the day. When you enter, you see different shapes, textures and angles of wood on tables, walls and accents. The inside also features high ceilings and brick walls. Because I had ramen the day before, I strayed from the noodle section of the menu and ordered soup dumplings, steamed pork buns and gyoza. Before any of the food arrived, I was presented with a cool light-colored wooden tray, a rounded black bowl, a smaller black bowl of sauce for the dim sum, a black soup spoon and black chopsticks. It looked very elegant. The dim sum arrived in bamboo steamer baskets. Steam escaped as I lifted the lid. I was very happy to witness this at Nummy, because takeout cannot capture this experience. I have fond memories of eating soup dumplings with friends at Joe's Shanghai in Manhattan's Chinatown. I scooped the dumpling onto the large soup spoon, poked a hole with the chopstick to release some of the hot soup and then enjoyed the savory pork and crab soup mixture with the awesome texture of the dumpling. It's tasty, and the experience connected me with friends and family who I've shared soup dumplings with. The pork gyoza and pork bun were also very good. The pork bun is kind of like sticky and moist, but set dough, filled with sweet BBQ pork. Gyoza is similar to large tortellini, but the filling has an Asian flavor and texture profile. I loved the meal and the experience. I highly recommend eating at Nummy. Five Stars

Yelp
WHAT A GEM This place has such satisfying bowls of noodles. I got the little pot extra spicy with beef. Definitely get the beef and extra spicy. The beef was so tender and full of flavor If I'm ever back in the area, I would get the little pot again but with the Taiwanese flour noodles. The Korean noodles are good too but I prefer the flour ones The soup was full of flavor and had a nice little kick. I loved the fried shallots and all the other things in the soup. All of ingredients blended well together. Definitely do not sleep on this place

Sam H.

Yelp
Pretty good food for a decent price. Good place to go with friends. Versatile menu combinations for soup options.

Taylor K.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! The service was a bit slow but the food was divine. Everything was super flavorful and the portions are great for the prices. I wish my bowl had a bit more noodles given the amount of broth and toppings but overall I was so impressed. The pork buns were also so soft, the dough was unbelievable.

Alicia G.

Yelp
My niece wanted to try dumplings for the first time so, what did I do? I yelped the closest spot with the best rating in Hartford and Nummy came up. Such a cute cozy spot. Parking is a bit scarce in the front but there seem to have been more on the side. It was a Tuesday mid day and it wasn't busy at all. The place is really cute and cozy. Not very big but super cute. We had soup dumplings and regular dumplings and my niece got noodles! Overall the place was yummy and the soup dumplings were great!

Anna L.

Yelp
I had the little pot which includes black ear fungus, cabbage, fried onions, some green leafy vegetables, and dried bean curds in a potato starch noodle soup. If you never had potato starch noodles before, thry are like glass noodles/vermicelli but chewier. The dish was very good but on the salty side. You can add more toppings or meat as extra.

Arpan P.

Yelp
The place is just incredible! This is the best asian fusion food we have ever had in America!

Leora B.

Yelp
Delicious fresh food presented appetizingly. Limited menu for a couple of vegans but more than many places and we liked it a lot. Highly recommend.

Christine R.

Yelp
Came here in a whim while out in errands -- found a hidden gem, would highly recommend. We were seated and served promptly. The restaurant wasn't crowded but had a steady influx of customers. We started with the soup dumplings, a lychee juice and a soda before our mains were served. I ordered the Nummy Noodles (medium spicy) and my husband had the Big Bird. The food was served hot and steaming. Everything had flavour. I loved the umami in my husband's rice dish. My Nummy Noodles were the right balance of spicy and savoury. Loved everything. Would definitely come here again. Not completely a seal-the-deal item, but the signs in the restroom are hilarious.

Dalisha P.

Yelp
This place was cool. I had it to myself which was great. I basically built my own noodle bowl , it was very good filled with greens . I also had vegetable steamed dumplings. For sweets I went with the donuts with icing which were very good . Overall a good experience.

Amy L.

Yelp
I like this place immediately after walking in. There was so much that went into the design of the space. The "nummy" sign outdoors is a planter, the lights are hung with ropes and bamboo. Red brick wall, shiplap wall, wooden tables. All the natural elements make this place Instagrammable. Even the bathroom was fun to be in... Then the food came! We were so pleased and happy with the temperature (in degrees and spice level), the flavors, the textures, everything is just as we expected and more. My husband even ordered an Eel Rice Bowl for his next meal because the food was that good. It's so exciting to have access to great Taiwanese food. We recommend this place and will come back when we are back in Hartford. p.s. You can access the Frida Kahlo Pokéstop while dining at nummy.

Megan B.

Yelp
Super fast and easy while still having delicious food :) The portions were large especially for the price. Spice levels were good and easy to ask to be adjusted up or down.

Dan K.

Yelp
Fantastic food all around! The Soup Dumplings and Pork Buns (steamed) were absolutely delicious and came in perfect portions for sharing. The Nummy Noodles themselves were flavorful and light. The broth on "mild" heat provided a comfortable but exciting eating experience. The service was also top-notch. The decor and ambiance was just right for a night out with friends. Finally, the Golden Buns were a delicious treat that split perfectly between three people (2 each). Food was delicious and came out fast, what more can you ask for?!

Linda S.

Yelp
My two grandkids, ages 8 and 12, chose this spot for our dinner because they like Asian food generally. I was a little worried when I saw the menu because it isn't your typical Asian fare. But we all enjoyed our choices. We shared an order of shrimp and pork dumplings (6) while waiting for our main dishes. The younger boy intrepidly selected the "Little Pot" (with sweet potato noodles, tree ear mushrooms, and tofu skin, whatever that is. That turned out to be my favorite of the 3 meals, and my grandson said he loved the variety of tastes and textures. The older boy had the "Nummy Bowl" which I didn't like as well, mainly due to the spicy pork. I had the "Big Bird" which was OK. Too much corn IMO. All in all, a successful choice and we will return.

Edward O.

Yelp
Great noodle bowls and soup. I like it a little more on the spicy side and they always get it right. I did give the soup dumplings a try - the flavor pallet was not for me. The staff is friendly and the meal comes out quickly!

Daniel A.

Yelp
Dudes!!!! This is the place!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!! You want a great meal in a comfortable environment, no pressure?!! Well then. NUMMY IS YUMMY!!! We had to try, almost everything!!!! Eel bowl, AWESOME!!! Nummy bowl, AWESOME!!! And the mega bowl!!! Yup. You guessed it. AWESOME!!!! All my Korean peeps, It had Kimchi in it!!! The soup dumplings were great and the sticky sesame balls were sooooo yummy at NUMMY!!! Prices we very reasonable and the people here were very low key and AWESOME!!! Two thumbs up!!!

Lily N.

Yelp
Very good! Service was good. Food gets brought out on trays which I like because my soup tends to splash everywhere when I eat! The vibe is nice but I feel like they are trying to squeeze too many tables on the left side of the restaurant. I could barely squeeze between my table and the table next to me when leaving.

Idayne G.

Yelp
Ordered the soup dumplings and a little pot. The food was delicious both the dumplings and the broth for the soup. The place was very aesthetically pleasing. Had a very calming environment. Service was attentive. Would definitely come back & recommend

Michel P.

Yelp
If you want GREAT food, this is one of the Best in CT, Original, unique, delicious. Nothing i know comes close. Absolutely nothing like this, as good as this in West Hartford. If you know anything about good, try a "small bowl" mild spicy, it will blow you mind, rich, satisfying, tasty and delicious!

Aaron M.

Yelp
Sat down and was initially disappointed in being ignored for what felt like almost 10 minutes in an otherwise empty restaurant. (Only 1 other table) Had to ask for water 4 times before they got it. That said after the bumpy start this place hits and you should definitely come down and eat some of this food. Before I get into that I'll wrap up on service saying after our waiter took our order he was attentive and polite and very good. The dim sum was good. Not a huge selection but very good choices. I brought a first timer and she enjoyed all of them as much as I did. We also ordered a noodle dish to share. A little light on the bok choy so ask for a extra but the overall dish tasted great and plenty of it. We ate our fill and had left overs to go. Stop on in and enjoy it as much as I did.

Kellie R.

Yelp
I called ahead and asked if there was indoor or outdoor seating and there is! (Just wanted to help others know that this restaurant is open and you can sit down since Yelp only had takeout/delivery as options). Upon arrival, the doors were blocked by tables (we saw two other people inside but we were unsure what to do). Someone helped us and led us to a table. It was warm inside but our waitress turned on a fan and asked if we wanted to move closer to the fan, which was thoughtful of her. We ordered gyoza, pork buns, soup dumpling, sweet buns, Eel bowl, and the Nummy bowl. Everything was SO good, especially the Nummy bowl and the pork buns. We were impressed by the flavors as well as the ambiance. Food was cheap in price but didn't lack in flavor. We will definitely be back!

Tina P.

Yelp
Nummy is truly nummy. We had three different types of pho and all were delicious - and made to order. Friendly servers and prices were reasonable. Recommend.

Chelsea H.

Yelp
Outstanding food and friendly efficient service.! Very comfortable and clean place! We loved it and will definitely be back!

Sheila R.

Yelp
Nummy serves up some fabulous noodles with pork. They are called "Bam Bam" noodles, and they are savory, nicely spiced, and filling. They are a great deal, and my go-to order at Nummy. I could eat them every week! I am sooo thankful that they are still open during the time of COVID . They always make takeout orders easy, and this time was no exception. We got 2 orders of Bam Bam noodles and one order of pork gyoza, and it was ready within 25 minutes of placing the order. Nummy has lots of dishes to order, the food is well priced, and their staff is friendly. Along with many others on Yelp, I highly recommend them!!

Don P.

Yelp
This turned out to be an absolutely wonderful noodle dining experience. I ordered Bam Bam Noodles, a Taiwanese flour noodle dish with bok choy, spicy ground pork and a nicely seasoned savory broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly; the ground pork sauce was heavenly, it is and was everything you would expect in a comfort food noodle dish. Service was friendly and efficient with my order arriving quickly from the kitchen. If you are a noodle devotee then Nummy should be dialed in to your GPS stat..!!!

Dave G.

Yelp
Really concise and simple concept menu. Modern decorations on the interior. Really friendly and welcoming owners. The steamed dumplings were very authentic. The Nummy noodles were a fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese. The owners travel the world and this is their take on the fusion of Asian noodle cuisine. TIP: The chili oil here is super hot! Reduce your choice of heat one level down than what you're usually able to manage! Enjoy!

Shayna G.

Yelp
Now that the weather is getting cooler it's noodle season! Tried Nummy today and got the Mutt Jr bowl with chicken and medium spice level. The portion was very reasonable for the price point ($12 plus $3 for chicken) and I even had enough for leftovers. It was spicy enough for a nice kick but not overwhelmingly spicy.

Allesandra N.

Yelp
Did an online order. The food was amazing! Got steamed pork buns and the sweet black sesame balls. Staff were super nice for a short interaction, and kitchen look very clean from the glance I got.

Leahanne M.

Yelp
Went to Nummy for the first time last night and I'm still thinking about how good it was! The food was delicious, fresh, and inventive (Asian fusion). The staff was courteous and kind. Definitely will be part of our regular rotation! Highly recommend the pork buns, gyoza, Mr. Peanut and Bam Bam Noodles but everything was really good and cooked to order. The pork buns were soft and a little sweet but the filling was full of savory flavor. I would go back just for those! Another plus - adding a protein to any dish for $2.00 - that's a deal. The only con was the beef was a bit fatty. I'm not entirely sure what cut it was. It was very thinly sliced and you could see the fat in it. Maybe that's done on purpose but it wasn't my speed or my daughters' speed (they both got the beef). Two out of five people at our table got the beef and the quality looked similar on both. The other three of us either ordered shrimp or chicken and had no issues. That wouldn't prevent me from going again, we just wouldn't order the beef that's all.

Gayle P.

Yelp
I will be going back to try more menu items! We went in around 6:30 on a Friday and got seated quickly. The service was attentive and relaxed. We got the seaweed salad and vegetable gyoza. Both were very good. I had the udon and it was delicious. All the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. My partner for nummy noodles, medium heat and he loved it! Great food and vibe!

Paul A.

Yelp
Love the ramen here, I only wish they had more selections on the menu. Although they do the food very well. Excellent taking broth and noodles are yummy.. oh sorry nummy!

Garima G.

Yelp
Udon noodles: the veggies and broth was flavorful and the noodles had a great texture: black sesame sticky rice ball: these were perfect melt in your mouth and was a lovely dessert that I would definitely get again. This is a small business but could tell the staff knows pretty much everyone pretty well. I would go back for those nooodz cravings.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Run, don't walk, drive, fly, do whatever you have to-just get here! This place rocks!! Amazing food and great service with a fun vibe. We loved the soup dumplings, bam bam noodles, mutt jr, mochi, and golden buns. Cannot wait to come back!

Surupa B.

Yelp
Loved it. The food has the right taste. The owner was so nice as well. We felt very welcome and had a great experience.

Christy T.

Yelp
Loved it! Came to Hartford for 1 night and Yelp recommended this place. Definitely worth the Uber ride from downtown. Had the soup dumplings - the best I've had since I first tried them in China. Very delicate and flavorful! Same for the pork buns - a great combination of pork and the soft, sweet and fluffy buns. Excellent. Followed up with the Big Bird chicken, rice and corn dish. Chicken cooked to perfection, sauce was tasty and corn and rice rounded out the dish.
