The 31 Best Restaurants In The Hamptons 2024 - New York - The Infatuation

"In a chic space filled with lots of gold and navy velvet, O by Kissaki does itameshi cuisine, which combines Italian and Japanese dishes to make things like crispy rice layered with uni and a thin slice of lardo, creamy dashi spaghetti, and steakhouse classics served with yuzu zabaglione. They're also a sushi go-to, with excellent sushi sets, a la carte pieces, and oversized futomaki rolls filled with salmon tartare, sesame-spinach, tofu, cucumber, and avocado." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner, Team Infatuation

Overall, would not recommend. Way too overprice. The medium rare salmon is over cooked, salmon skin has a bitter taste and the salmon itself is sour. Service was okay, we caught them on a busy hour. Squid pasta is very small portion (first dish in first pic, doesn’t look like what’s on the menu), mushrooms were too salty. Boton Ebi was okay. The rolls were pretty good (it’s actually not Japanese sushi roll but Korean kimbap). The best thing was the crisp rice appetizer (it was $25 for 3pc, but there were four of us, so we ordered one extra piece. It was $10 for the extra piece).

This spot is a hidden in plain sight gem in East Hampton. Craig our waiter was amazing from start to finish. Started with the edamame and Uni lardo crispy rice which were great and then had the truffle rice donabe which was the best thing I’ve had at a restaurant in awhile. My friend and I wanted to lick the bowl but decided to be ladies and order the Maguro Mama Futomaki and it was a perfect ending to our meal which we then just had to follow with some green tea and black sesame ice cream. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous meal.

Loved it! This is a hot/cold Japanese American cuisine spot in the middle of the Hamptons. Cocktails are well crafted and suited for every step of your dinner. The experience is all about small bites, you can get veggies, beef or fish and all are equally tasty. Ambiance is cozy, service is very friendly and on top of every detail. It was easy to make a reservation too, which I appreciated! Bring friends over, the more people you come with the more you get to try. Super recommended: the Nihon 75 cocktail and the Ube cream puff 🤤

Google
Subpar experience. They had a pest problem while we were dining indoors. Flies with the big green eyes were hovering around the dining tables and it didn’t help that we were one of the few tables during dinner service. One landed on our cups and just stared at us… a big turn off and not what I expected from an establishment charging ~$16 for each piece of nigiri. The service was attentive. The dish that turned the night around was the Sandy Futomaki, highly recommend it. I would steer away from the wagyu futomaki and the bolognese, not sure what was trying to be accomplished there. The crispy rice with uni was nothing special.

Whenever I have a guest visiting from out of city, this is my restaurant of choice. A truly experiential dining adventure worth the trek, but be sure to make a reservation. Service=impeccable. The staff felt like they were only serving us while still being attentive to other customers. Every recommendation they made was on point! They know their taste. We had a dig set of sushi, and this is by far the best way I've ever had them prepared - you get to taste every nuance of the taste and flavor of the fish and delicate rice.

Google
After hearing so much about Kissaki, I was glad to finally check it out. We booked a reservation few weeks in advance. The restaurant has really a great ambiance. Not to mention the amazing decor and well-trained staff. The menu is enormous and the idea is to share, so you get to taste many options. I strongly suggest their cocktails. My friends and I each had a different one and all were remarkable! Super creative and delicious. Our waiter was great, very knowledgeable about the menu, gave great tips about what to order. If you are looking for a spot for a romantic dinner - this is it. It is the perfect place with the perfect menu.

Google
Don’t go here, if you want to try it I’d order it in instead. The food was delicious but the portions were exceptionally small for the price and the service is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. It took over 1.5 hrs for our sushi rolls to come after our appetizers, and the wait staff was completely disorganized and unapologetic. The manager came over and said that the sushi bar was backed up and didn’t say sorry for the wait, despite sushi rolls coming out for other tables that had ordered after us - i wish they had been honest that they forgot our order. Then the manager rang us up and they didn’t offer to comp anything or make any concessions. One of the members of our party was allergic to gluten, they didn’t have gluten free soy sauce so offered to send out spicy Mayo, and then charged us $3 for it. Overall pretty negative experience.

Google
Amazing experience! From the service, cocktails, hot dish and sushi by far my favorite places to eat in East Hampton.

Yelp
Please explain to me why people aren't giving this place 5 stars??? The food was insane, the service was attentive, we were obnoxious and had too much sake but they were still so fun and kind. Had the best night of our week in the Hamptons here.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for dinner on a weekend night. The restaurant was busy, you're in the hamptons so no real COVID precautions like in the city. The service was attentive and good, but I did not like or appreciate the cadence of the meal - I think almost everything we ordered came out at once, which is frustrating - they should space it out. If we come back, I will instead only order a couple things at a time so we can enjoy each thing without items getting cold or soggy, etc. We shared: Akami crudo - this could be modified gluten free, but I'm not sure if all they did was remove the sauce - without it, it was bland. Salmon crispy rice - this could also be modified gluten free, it was not my favorite. Came with 5 pieces, which is weird for sharing Beef fried rice - this could not be modified to be gluten free so my husband was not able to have some, but it was delicious. The beef pieces are pretty tiny so by the end I had to use my phone light to look through the remaining rice to make sure I got all the pieces Corn - this was quite good - it comes with 5 pieces, again weird for sharing Spicy tuna roll, Chutoro, Otoro, Faroe Island Salmon - all the sushi pieces were good We also shared a cold sake tumbler for approx $50. It was annoying that there was no way to keep this cold. Overall, this is a good option for sushi and hot dishes in the area, but it wasn't perfect.

Yelp
We made a reservation in advance. We paid $600 ahead of time to secure a table... The service is SO inexperienced and such a HOT MESS for such a pricey spot. If you're paying $$$ for a delicious meal then excellent service should be guaranteed. That's part of the experience. We sat down at 8 PM..... it took 40 minutes to get 3 cocktails. One of those cocktails was a soda... We had several questions about the menu and it felt like the server wasn't even listening to us or knew anything about the items on the menu. It was obvious she was trying to convince us to add more items to our bill- it felt so robotic and sterile that it translated into feeling CHEAP. The night only got more annoying from there. When our dinner came out multiple meals were missing, and one of our meals was cooked wrong . We told our server and never received an apology. The food then took what felt like forever to come out. Everyone around us kept getting food... We then asked the server where our food was and she said, "oh I'm so sorry I thought it was for the second course." That seemed like a poor attempt at an excuse. They brought out our apps and entrees at the same time..... I spoke to the manager. He did not care. His apology was as genuine as a rock. He said he was planning on doing something "special" for us. He gifted us a $20 bottle of champagne and couldn't even apologize. He just poured the champagne and walked off.. we were not impressed. Then we paid and our server disappeared completely. She arrived as we were getting up with dessert....so bazaar. The dessert wasn't good. This place is NOT a vibe. The staff is clueless and the management is lacking. Figure it out. Your place could be great if your staff wasn't crap. Not worth spending the $$$$$$

Yelp
I came here while spending a weekend in the hamptons had a nice dinner. We started with the crispy rice and crab leg which was delicious. We then got two orders of the omakase which were pretty good but not as innovative and delicious as I remember kissaki in noho being. My biggest complaint was the pack of people they let stand right being my table as I was trying to eat. I kept getting bumped into and it kind of ruined the experience, especially considering how expensive everything is

Yelp
Same high standard as Kissaki but with a focus on hot food. The portion sizes are extremely small so think if it like tapas where you order multiple dishes and share Faroe island salmon 5/5 Togarashi Filet 5/5 The Mac Oish roll 3/5 King Cali Roll 2/5

Yelp
Nice ambiance. They open @ 6pm. We sat outdoors because it was a bit chilly inside. Beautiful space either way. Service was attentive. Very swift runners. Food was solid, just a bit pricey, but there's nothing else around with this type of quality on the rice, so you will find that's it worth the trip once in the summer. The rice has a very Sugarfish air to it on the flavor. Jack Roll was good. The simple spicy tuna roll was well done. Akami crudo is almost frozen so I wouldn't recommend. The specialty flight was delicious and very good. They have a solid sake list as well. 4.5 stars.

Yelp
Very disappointed by this place. The food was mediocre. The staff was flirting with each other right in front of us and speaking very loudly. I found a ton of shells in my food, mainly from the shrimp. Quality of the fish was low. For the price point, this place is just not worth it. Presentation was horrible. Parking lot smelled of sewage. Chef looked unprofessional. Staff kept breaking glassware during dinner. I've been to the other location which was slightly better but this location needs a lot of work. I hope they figure it out.

Yelp
Wow wow. I was spending a weekend in the Hamptons and decided to stop by this gem. Amazing crowd (saw lots of celebrities), great variety of food (sushi, pasta, meat) at a great price. Will deff return! Pro tip, order the Sandy roll.

Jenna K.

Yelp
My friends and I had made reservations at this restaurant, yet we're extremely disappointed. Our appetizers came after an hour before our drinks had even come. We then received two entrees and had to wait another thirty minutes for our entrees. And another 30 minutes to get more drinks and still never received them. The food also could have been bought at stop and shop. Very disappointed. We also never received water and basic utensils.

Thomas J S.

Yelp
We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival. The food is Japanese Italian fusion. The pasta bolognese is among the best I ever had. The sushi is fresh and the menu is varied and appeals to all tastes. The service was prompt and very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
It's okay. To be honest I was pretty disappointed with the cocktails, ordered an old fashioned and it was really ordinary, like what you'd get at any happy hour bar, and not at all like the excellent Japanese cocktail bars in the city. The sushi was pretty good but some of the items fell a little short considering the price (the salmon was good, but the otoro was a bit tough and stringy when it's supposed to be buttery and smooth). Service is hit or miss, it seems like most of the staff are young and still learning, but our waitress (I think she was a South American woman) knew what she was doing an did an excellent job at managing our table, I added a star for her. Not sure I'd come back, but the restaurant is new so maybe they'll iron out the kinks in a few months.

Jess Y.

Yelp
Just no. There were only three tables seated and all two tops when we arrived and no one else came in. We waited ten minutes for a menu, after some simple apps that were not a long wait it took another thirty min for another dish and then for a basic rice dish it took another 30 min! The food was not good. things were mushy instead of crisp, just unappetizing overall. Waiting an hour for a basic rice dish was completely off and then to arrive and after a few bites not even wanting to eat any more for it being mushy and a starchy goo was just a waste of money and our time. The decor looks straight out of Home Goods and they over serve these giant glaring gold spoons with inappropriate pretentiousness. Like these Home Goods looking ugly way too big spoons in a blue box as if it is some sort of state dinner. No, again just no. Architecturally the building has always had low ceilings. Instead of painting, the whole place a nice and dark navy or midnight something, so that the ceiling sort of disappears, it's painted in a glaring, shiny white, which only highlights the low ceilings, and makes it feel claustrophobic. The people were very nice. The waiter tried so hard, and was just so kind and that really stood out. Sadly, he is still believing a mask will protect him, against all evidence, and another waiter was outfitted in black plastic gloves. I think we know enough about the black plastic gloves by now. Being served by waiters with black plastic gloves and paper masks, after three years of now known facts against these precautions, does not help with anything in a place already so lacking in atmosphere and taste. Won't be back.

Yelp
Great fusion concept for all ages! Great service, great environment Love the place and definitely worthy

Yelp
One of the most disappointing dinner experiences. After the hype, I visited with a group of friends only to have us disappointed by food. Multiple dishes fell short of expectations. Don't waste your time, Greg

Sla V.

Yelp
I came there with my wife, as soon we walked in we were greeted by the waitress. 10 mins after we sat down we got our drink. The sandy roll is amazing. Try the sushi, it was amazing. I was happy they had Sancerre.

Mansi P.

Yelp
While the ambiance was OK, the food and service were absolutely awful. Crispy rice was soggy and tuna maki was mushy. The tea tasted like sesame water. Drinks were OK. Waiters/waitresses didn't know how to answer any of the questions we asked them regarding menu items. They put our appetizers on the table, only to immediately pick them back up and take them back into the kitchen. I can't recommend.

Yelp
This past Thursday was my second time dining at O by kissaki. My wife and I eat out almost every single Saturday night. Michelin star restaurants and other elite restaurants in the city are the caliber of restaurants we frequent. I'll tell you this: Every dish we ate at O was spectacular. The crispy rice with Uni was very crispy, the Uni was of the highest quality. The Hotate crudo and the kampachi radish crudo was extremely fresh and both had their own individual flavors. My daughters ate the snake river farms strip steak which was perfectly cooked. I was lucky enough to snag a small piece, but it was all good. I was more impressed that a 3 and 5 year old devoured a steak by themselves. For our main dishes, we shared the paccheri pasta with duck Ragu. Honestly, this pasta is probably on my list of top 10 favorite pastas. Such amazing unique flavors. My wife and I both ordered the Nigiri flight which is always phenomenal. You do not see the unique pieces of sushi you get at O at many Japanese restaurants. Lastly, we ordered my wife's all time favorite dishes which is the rice pot. This rice dish is one of the most elegantly flavored fried rice dishes you will ever eat. In addition, everything is expensive in the Hamptons. I'm just a regular guy who enjoys great food. If you have a pricing complaint about the bill, just honestly kick rocks. You're getting high quality fish that had a lot of thought behind the execution of the dishes you're eating. I'm pretty sure someone isn't walking into Hermes and expecting a discounted bill.

Robert A.

Yelp
Terrific restaurant. Loved the brussel sprouts, steak and sushi. A welcome addition to Hamptons dining. Also nice staff.

Yelp
I was genuinely looking forward to eating at O by kissaki as I've frequented the one on Bowery multiple times as well as ordering takeout. But this visit at O was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at any sushi restaurant ever. I had called the restaurant and asked if they had any seats available. They asked if I wanted indoor or out which I responded saying only indoor as we have a toddler. I told them I would be there in 20 min and tried to put my name down. They responded it's ok just come on in. When I got there to my surprise they said they didn't have any indoor seats and only outdoor was available. I reiterated I had a toddler and didn't want them to be eaten alive by mosquitos. I also told them I took an Uber 20 minutes to get here. They should have told me over the phone if they didn't have any indoor seats I would have went somewhere else to eat. So we decided to stay anyway as we didn't want to take another Uber somewhere else. We sat down to order our drinks and food. We ordered some sushi, the mushroom clay pot rice, some carpaccio and the tuna avocado. To my surprise the clay pot rice came out within minutes of ordering. (These things at Japanese restaurants usually take at least 30 min as they are made fresh) so I thought they prob had it cooking already so we lucked out. To my disappointment this was bad. The mushrooms in there were dry. The rice at the bottom wasn't crunchy and it tasted like it was left over and just reheated from the night before. Literally only had a bite and could not eat it anymore. The drinks came about 20 minutes after the rice ( which were decent drinks). At this time sitting in the back patio waiting for the rest of our food I was wondering what this smell was and why it came and went. I then looked around and realized we were sitting next to the manhole cover of their septic tank. Every time someone flushed the toilet the smell would push up out of the manhole cover. As you can imagine having the smell of peoples excrements while eating is not enjoyable at all. The food then started coming out. The carpaccio needed a little more seasoning. The avocado I was not a fan of. The sushi came out and it was ok but the constant smell made everything miserable. We ordered our Uber immediately and asked for the check. We needed to get out of there. I would not recommend this place to anyone and do not know how kissaki can even even serve food to their customers knowing their guests are dining over a septic system.

Yelp
A small party (of four) went to this restaurant last night , we were one of 2 tables......the restaurant was very quiet (Mon night , early May.....understandable) The service person would take our order , go away......come back "some time later" "We don't have that"........over and over again?! It was almost comical! They have one dessert on the menu , nope.....don't have it The food we did have was fantastic!!!!!!!! Hoping it was off season growing pains , will defianately go again , service was very friendly , atmosphere pretty nice............

Fred H.

Yelp
I really don't see why this restaurant is so highly rated. Menu was limited and a bit bizarre. Food was only so-so. Rather arrogant atmosphere with an elitist tilt. Dismissive staff. Expensive, and by the way, avoid (and ask the price first-there is no price on the menu) the so-called "house" Saki that is close to 5 times more than it should cost. We will not return.

Sydney A.

Yelp
Absolutely ridiculous A royal taking you for a ride The star is for the service and the passable crispy salmon and rice Everything else is a joke The lobster was basically a big shrimp The apps were so teeny with nothing exceptional I thought it was a joke And the price point is super high

Yelp
I have been coming here since they opened last year and love this place. I love that they have a mix of sushi with Asian dishes as well. The food is always yummy and this year I noticed they change the menu to add more of a variety. I had their paccheri pasta and uni pasta and it was incredible! Also the spicy crab appetizer was delicious. I love the original negiri at this location as well as all the Kissaki location. So happy we finally have a delicious Asian fusion /sushi place in east hampton!

P R.

Yelp
Yummy rolls and great service. Nice upscale addition to east hampton that now has somewhat decent sushi. Only advice - pls figure out how to take pick up orders by phone and not just online or in person bc that's unnecessarily annoying. You are a high end establishment catering to a crowd that still uses phones to order food :)

Jayne R.

Yelp
We were really liking this restaurant.... the food and the service have been really nice in spite of the very full prices. Tonite, however, We left after dinner feeling that we had been taken advantage of. It wasn't the $65 strip steak, but the $4 charge for bbq sauce (which it said was served with the steak on the menu) was a bit insulting. And the $2 charge for putting a little club soda into my $18 vodka and cranberry juice was Ridiculous. So for $6 I left feeling not so excited to go back to O by Kissaki anytime soon. I'd like to ask the owner if the $6 was worth it.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Dishes are TINY and the service was monumentally frustrating. One person's food came, then the other's 20 minutes later. They brought us the wrong dish and then said they were out of the one we ordered. It went on like that. Won't be back.

Yelp
We had Togarashi Files as an entry and for the cold course we went for Hotate Crudo. If you visit the restaurant itself or order delivery, the quality will be equally perfect and you will definitely not regret it. A real flavor party that will alloy you to enjoy every piece without getting tired. Also the restaurant is really clean and cozy. The ratio between price and product quality is really pleasing. I tell you that it is the art of combining the delicious flavors, the freshest fish, handmade sauces in different dishes. And a very unique and delicious menu with many options. Excellent, fast service and very friendly staff, made us feel at home. One of the best Japanese restaurant we have been to. Thanks, we'll be back soon, 100% recommended.

Yelp
We had honestly the strangest meal at this restaurant this evening for my father's birthday. First, we had called a few days prior to adjust our reservation, and when we arrived they sat us at a table of five rather than six. The host told us that they had not received our request and angrily moved us to a larger table, even though we had spoken to someone over the phone. When we sat down the manager came over and weirdly offered us a promotional drink by saying "does anyone want a spicy margarita" and insulting the tequila company offering the drink. We sat and ordered other drinks, and then a time later ordered our appetizers and meals at the same time, specifying what was for what course. We sat for an hour before they brought all of the food at the same time, except for my father and my aunt's entrees. We asked our server why it wasn't coursed and, if it wasn't being coursed why it wasn't all there, and she mumbled something. The bizarre manager returned and when we mentioned that we were confused about the way the food was coming out, he said that that's what to expect when there are two kitchens. How are we supposed to know that there were two kitchens and how is it our fault that there are? It was incredibly weird and rude. To make up for the two entrees coming out late, the manager brought a free appetizer. Twenty minutes later, the two pieces of cod came out, with bones in them! The food, when it arrived, was delicious, but the experience was so odd. We were ready to get out of there when this manager started resetting our table with dessert plates. We were confused because we didn't order dessert but he ran away and at this point our server had disappeared. A few minutes later they brought over two complimentary desserts, both of which were not good. Instead of apologizing for the hiccups in service the manager kept blaming his staff for the evening rather than taking ownership for his own mismanagement. I would not return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially considering the high price point.

Anna I.

Yelp
I really wanted to give this restaurant more stars because the staff was so lovely! However the food was lacking something - the flavors didn't shine thru and the hamachi rolls were just okay. The only thing that was good was the wagyu top sirloin (which is hard to mess up).

Emily C.

Yelp
If there was an option to give 0 stars, I would but I have to give 1. 1) Our reservation was at 7:15pm and I just got home. It is 11:08pm. 2) After waiting for our sushi for 1.5 hours, we started to ask where our entrees were / how long it was going to be. First, our waitress claimed the main sushi chef left and they were scrambling to bring in a new one - no indication of how long it would be. 20 minutes went by and we asked the bus boy this time, since we hadn't seen our waitress in 20 minutes. He said they were consistently short staffed and they've been having this issue constantly. Another 20 minutes go by and we asked our waitress again how long our food would be and she got mad at us for not being patient. 3) 2 hours after we arrived at the restaurant, our nigiri finally came out. Our appetizer plates hadn't been cleared and we weren't brought new plates or soy sauce / wasabi. I tracked down the bus boy and asked him if he could bring us fresh plates and wasabi. 5 minutes later, our waitress came over and informed me that I'm not allowed to get wasabi and soy sauce with nigiri because that's not how the chef likes it consumed 4) I was so parched and my water glass was empty the entire meal. I was literally scared to ask for anything at the risk it would detract from our food coming out 5) After having waited for 3 hours for our meal, we asked our waitress for the check and asked if there was anything they do to compensate us for the poor service and the poor communication. She said "it's not my restaurant so there's nothing I can do but I'll get my boss." The head chef came out and asked us what the problem was. We told him we'd been waiting for 3 HOURS! and he kept saying "but what was wrong" "can you tell me what was wrong"? We tried to explain over and over again that it was the combination of long wait, lack of communication and our server getting annoyed at us for simply asking how long the wait would be. Meanwhile, we watched multiple parties leave before their entrees came out because the wait was OUTRAGEOUS. The manager finally agreed to provide a 30% discount off the bill and left. Another 20 minutes went by - still no check. This is getting comical. The waitress finally brought the check out and there was a "friends and family" discount of 10% provided. The waitress was laughing and saying "its not in my control." We were beside ourselves and the waitress was like "yeah I heard him tell you 30%." We asked for the manager again and he came over and said "what's the problem now" after which he claimed that he never agreed to give the discount that he did!! At this point in time the table next to us was getting annoyed at the commotion and the manager told the bus boy that we were ruining their meal and to try and help them. All in all, I would say this restaurant is a sham. Don't go here unless you want to be the biggest butt in the Hampton's biggest comedy show.

Warren R.

Yelp
This is no longer an Asian restaurant. It is fusion at its worst. Seared sushi? Truffles? Fish flakes in the edamame. No dumplings. Limited sushi selection over fried rice balls . I would not go there for the steak. It's just a mishmash of cuisine, some awful some not so bad. Tempura? Gyoza? No. The crab legs were tasty for $40 as an appetizer.

Obvious drawbacks: feet from route 27 - which is constantly trafficked. Outdoor dining is uncomfortable, tables are chintzy, and the environment is just not the best. There's an odor of garbage that wafts through every now and then and the canned music feels like you're listening to an Instagram post. There's a prevalent large hose coming out of what I believe is ductless air conditioning inside. On the other hand, the food is excellent but the portions are small and the price is astronomical. I would not return here unless it was with wealthy friends who were taking me out.

Yelp
Ordered a large meal with friends to share. Food was expensive, quality was fair, portion sizing of the beet salad was very disappointing for an 18 dollar salad containing around five small leafs and three quarter pieces of beets. Salad dressing tasted fair. Spicy tuna was missing spice. Jack roll was not too good. Individual pieces were good quality. I probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Very good. Our group of 4 shared about 10 plates and they were all excellent. We were not rushed and had a very enjoyable evening.

Yelp
This dining experience was one of the worst I've ever had. The service was shockingly horrible for such an overpriced restaurant. The waitstaff were unprofessional and extremely rude, and the food was not good enough to justify their behavior. It took about 15-20 minutes after we were all seated, for someone to come around and offer us water, and from that point on, it was pure chaos. Our waitress was disorganized, and so the runners did not know who ordered what drink, and was calling out to all of us asking "who got __, who got ___?" The waitstaff bringing plates and refilling water would reach THROUGH us, to clatter down the plates and refill our glasses, instead of going around each person. Our waitress took about 30 minutes to get our appetizer orders in, and then didn't even come to take our entree orders until after we were FINISHED with our starters. This resulted in our main courses being brought out around 10pm, when we sat down at 8pm. The food did not come out at the same time, which left more than half of our table looking on while only 5 people picked at their dinner, not wanting to eat without everyone else. When the sushi bar mains were FINALLY brought out (about 20 mins after the first set of main courses), again, due to the waitress's extreme unprofessionalism, the runners had zero idea who ordered what. They called out "who got the flight, who got __, did someone get __?", which is the most chaotic way of serving food at a restaurant as expensive as this one. One of the runners didn't even know what the "flight" looked like, and this resulted in him giving my meal to another person at the table. By the time we realized the mistake, some of the pieces were eaten, and instead of apologizing and just bringing me a replacement dish, she got extremely defensive, and talked to me as if I was an impatient child that she needed to talk down to. It was so condescending, and I just calmly sat there while she spoke to me as if I was the one who made the mistake of giving my food away. After this mishap, a couple people at the table requested some espressos to close out our meal. Instead of explaining on the spot, that this was not possible due to the fact that the machines had been cleaned and taken down for the night, she agreed to bring them out at the end of the meal. After waiting 30 mins or so, when we asked where the espressos were, she again became defensive and overexplained that the machines were being cleaned and they had to put it back together to make the espressos and that (DIRECT QUOTE) she "was not going to be a bitch to her coworkers and rush them". By this point, we were all just shocked to hear her say this. At the end of the dinner, which didn't finish until past 11pm (due to THEM BEING SO SLOW), the check came and when I asked my friend to hold onto the itemized receipt (so we can split the check afterwards, since we paid with 1 card), she took it as a dig on her, and yelled across a 13 person table that (DIRECT QUOTE) "I can print you as many as you need, if you want 18 receipts you can have them all". We left with a bad taste in our mouths- taking home most of the food , since we had all lost our appetites from sitting and waiting for the majority of the night. I will never be coming back here, and will tell anyone looking to enjoy sushi in East Hampton to avoid this place like the plague. BY THE WAY- their sushi rice was way to vinegar-y, overcooked and mushy, and sat in my mouth like paste. I think sushi rice is the cornerstone of good sushi, and if you judge their food quality by how the chef handles the rice, you can automatically tell that this is like a 2-star sushi spot at most. The only reason why it's not 1-star, is because I didn't get food poisoning. Also, Otoro that is $15 a piece should not have a metallic after taste. Will never be coming back, eating at a restaurant managed by this group, or going to a restaurant with these two chefs as their execs ever again in my life.

Yelp
I was so excited to find out that my favorite omakase sushi restaurant kissaki was opening another location out East! They DID NOT disappoint! The food is amazing, fish is so fresh! Service was impeccable. The drink mixology is top notch!! You must try the margarita! Decor is trendy and modern! We loved the apps. Food pairings were something else!!! This restaurant is a keeper!! Great job!!

Yelp
While the menu has been updated the taste remains the same, absolutely delicious! We come here usually 1x every week or two, with kids or with friends or even just for a delicious drink. The updated menu is extensive, with divisions in all the categories. The reason I am leaving this review is I had the unfortunate timing of being present at the same time as a uninformed patron that thought wagyu was fish. The fit that was thrown was extensive and I cannot condone a person themselves not knowing what an ingredient is, causing such a disturbance, I wanted to juxtapose our always wonderful experience here.

Yelp
Despite the reviews, we tried this little jewel and were absolutely shocked not only at the quality of the sushi but also the service was impeccable! Even on a Saturday night, during the hustle- the service was outstanding. We have eaten at the finest sushi restaurants and the product quality here is absolutely outstanding. Note, they also serve beef and a pasta dish, we only had sushi so I can only speak to that.

Yelp
Went for a large group dinner. Indoors had a lively ambience with Spanish music. The concept seems to encourage shared eating but for a group of six they refused to give us one additional piece of everything even for an additional charge bc the "chef won't allow changes." I have been to the Kissaki in the city and Water Mill and the sushi nigiri and sashimi were very good. The scallop and hamachi crudo were nice. We ended up eating 4 of the chef plates and additional add ons of nigiri and sashimi. I would skip the rolls. I was excited to try the robataya concept but I would skip them. All of the "hot" food honestly was a let down. We tried the fish kaarage which wasn't crispy with a lackluster tartare sauce , the steak was cooked to the right temp but lacked flavor, the chicken was plain, the shishito peppers were under cooked and still raw, the tsukune was so salty and overdone and hard. We tried to order sake which the waiter encouraged ordering bottles but then more then half were sold out. At least one entree was sold out. And all of the desserts except the ube puff were sold out. The kitchen / restaurant seemed unprepared for a Saturday night. The hostess was not very professional. Also the waitresses weren't trained in table dropping and putting drinks in front of the wrong people and calling them out. I guess my expectations are low for the hamptons but for a $200 a head dinner the service should be better. I hope they work out their kinks as a new restaurant. Our waiter was very nice and enthusiastic with a good understanding of the food. But when a chef's plate of nigiri is dropped at a nice sushi place usually the waiter should review what cuts of fish are on the plate since they are chef's choice.

Yelp
Ordered takeout several times through Uber eats, was completely shocked at the quality and taste of the rolls! We are now Sen converts, there is no comparison. After our 2 takeout ordered we decided to dine in, and were pleasantly surprised at the eclectic menu, knowledgeable staff and unique drinks, highly recommend!

Yelp
went here for good sushi and noticed that the pricing was outrageous. I figured it will be an incredivle experience so be it. there were several people in the group and most did not eat beef. the server justified pricing by explaining every thing on the plate. what the fish was and what was mixed in. salmon was seared and there for was 15 bucks a. piece. it's good but not worth even 8 a piece. but the wagyu was served in a roll with rice like some ordinary tuna dish except oily. and it was not served to the correct person who does not eat beef and the served said it was sushi. the person had to leave immediately and three up their entire meal. the server was like oh well and the manager said don't worry we took the new food {after they left) off the check they actually justified it saying it says wagyu is beef as if that was the issue. these things are legally petty because the person will recover in about three days. but the place ruined their trip. good job server!!
