The 20 Best Pizza In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"’O Munaciello is a restaurant with a massive pizza angel hanging in the dining room, a fairly large diorama of an Italian village in the corner, and a domed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in some sort of place of worship. But they also serve one of Miami’s absolute best Neapolitan pizzas (their other location is in Florence), and you will indeed be worshipping the cornicione di ricotta when you discover its crust is stuffed with ricotta. This is a fork-and-knife pizza—a true Neapolitan pie—so check this place out next time you're craving one." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

The 13 Best Restaurants In MiMo - Miami - The Infatuation

"The interior of O’Munaciello features a life-size statue of an angel with outstretched arms hanging from the ceiling. There’s a large diorama of an Italian village in the corner and strange little statues scattered around the dining room. But you won’t notice any of it when the pizza hits the table because it’s that good. This excellent Neapolitan pizza definitely requires a fork and knife to eat, but it’s not a soupy mess in the middle. The crust (which comes in regular and black charcoal) is soft and bubbly on the outside and thin and tender towards the center. The cornicione di ricotta has an amazing stuffed ricotta crust and is good enough to distract you from the pizza deity dangling 20 feet above your head." - ryan pfeffer

The 16 Best Pizza Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"The first tip-off that O’Munnaciello was something special? Nearly every mismatched fluorescent table was filled with Italians. O’Munaciello was founded by Florentines who were so obsessed with Naples that they brought a taste of it to Florence. They later chose Miami as the second home for its Neapolitan-inspired pies, and now count locations in MiMo and on Coral Way. Recently, it’s been racking up tons of accolades, including #11 on the list of 50 Top Pizza Restaurants in the U.S. by 50 Top Pizza. And one bite into the Maradona, featuring a burrata that oozes when cut, or the Cuore di Pistacchio, a more refined pie made with a mild style of mozzarella and topped with almost translucent slices of mortadella and no shortage of pistachio crumbles and cream, will tell you exactly why." - Ashley Brozic

The food here was absolutely delicious! The pizza was soft, fluffy, and flavorful. First time having ricotta stuffed crust. The pasta dish was satisfying and desserts equally good. The service was phenomenal- staff are so nice and attentive. The ambiance was private, quiet, and exactly what we had hoped for. There were a few others here on lunch dates and everyone was joyous. Must try place when visiting Miami!

Google
Great pizza place! Came here because it was ranked top 10 in the U.S., which I believe. The ingredients are fresh, many of them with denomination of origin. The service was great and the waiter answered all questions and was helpful. The place is clean and tidy, which is always a great indicator of how the place is run and kept. They also have pasta, desserts, and coffee, which I didn't try this time, but will on my next visit. Come and visit is you like Neapolitan style pizza.

Google
We were looking for a nearby restaurant and came across the website. From the moment we walked in, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. The bruschetta and salad were so fresh. The portions were very large. The pizza (especially the truffle one) were fantastic. Most notable was the service. The waiter even held a napkin when changing our dishes so that their hands did not touch them directly. Our water was constantly filled. Everything was fantastic.

Google
I was searching randomly for an authentic Italian restaurant near to Coral Gables and I found this one. My mom and I ate pasta caccio e Pepe and parpadelle alla bolognese. EXQUISITE!!! Both dishes were amazing. Perfect flavor just like Italian knows how to make it! The service was very friendly in general and specially by Elia. This is a restaurant to go back. I can’t wait to also try the one that is located on Biscayne Blvd.

Google
Pizza was amazing and authentic! From the crust to the sauce, this is a dream pizza! Pair it with a nice glass of wine and an amazing wait staff, you got yourself a great pizza shop! Little more expensive but worth it! They also charge you automatically for service as well which I don’t like but overall a good experience.

Google
We were feeling like pizza tonight and decided to try out Munaciello. The decor is cute and it feels like it aims to appeal to a younger crowd. I like the music in the background ; however, my recommendation would be to put music that matches the atmosphere. Maybe a bit more Italian upbeat like Cosmo or Elasi. We ordered the Octopus and Margaherita Pizza which were both really good. The octopus was not mushy or overcooked. It was cooked right. The pizza was a good entree but final test for me was the pistachio gelato. Sometimes I go to Italian places and the pistachio gelato misses something in the flavor but that was not the case here. It was perfect texture and flavor, not forgetting to mention they added some pistachio nuts and shavings to complement it. I recommend it.

Google
Folks. This place is the real deal. Amazing service, pizza was fantastic, and the pasta is also some of the best in Miami. I don’t write a lot of glowing restaurant reviews, but this place is worth every dollar. It’s a full 10/10. Also, Daniel was a true star of the evening. Thank you!!!

I went with my husband to have lunch yesterday and had a pleasant time. Server was very attentive and polite. Food tasted very good. Pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
This place was just as good as we imagined! The service was fantastic, even within the hour of the kitchen closing. The restaurant is cute and a cozy size to enjoy a date. They have wine and beer and a way bigger menu than expected. We enjoyed the pasta special and the white pizza with truffle and basil. They also give bread while you wait for your food that is really fresh. This place was delicious including the Italian wine I had. We will absolutely be back to this authentic spot.

Yelp
I was really craving some authentic Neapolitan style pizza and this hit the spot and more! The space is cozy and decorated well. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine (very affordable) and decided to get two pizzas. We got the Sciosciammocca and Cornicione Ricotta. The spicy sausage was like no other and you cannot go wrong with a ricotta stuffed crust! I will definitely be back to try other pizzas and others on the menu. Great find!

Yelp
The Place was pretty hot in the back. The food wasn't all that good to me personally. Me and the person I was with were sweating bullets because it was so hot inside. While the food did feel authentic I don't think it lived it to the hype. The service was probably the best part of the situation.
google avatar

Gema M.

Yelp
Pizza was good, not sure we would call it one of the best in Miami but it was ok. I don't think we will be back for the Pizza Hut maybe to try some of the other food. We'll see.

Yelp
Went to O Munaciello on Coral Way for the first time, really enjoyed the place. There was 4 of us and we had the following (of course on the manu it's in cute Italian..lolol), Spaghetti with Clams, Lasanga (Special of the Day), Risotto with Mushrooms, and Paccheri alla Scoglio (Seafood Pasta). All were very good, they average out to around $29 a plate. I had the Paccheri pasta, to be honest, I little tough for me, but my fault for ordering, not theirs, the seafood and sause were delicious. Had Pastiera for desert, told it was Italian cheesecake..lolol, it was good, but not chessecake. Service was good and efficient, we got there a little early for lunch and had no problem parking, but I dont know if they have parking in the back, if not, it's street side parking, on a very busy section of Coral Way, good luck. Do want to go back and try their PIZZA !!!!!

Yelp
This restaurant is always on point. Service is excellent... very attentive and friendly. The pizzas are very good and have lots to choose from. The wine list is not big, but it has some good wines at good prices.

Yelp
This is the only place I want to go for pizza. The dough comes out very light and is big enough to share one pizza. The house salad is also good. Parking is trickly. Try and go at an off time. Best pizza ever.

Yelp
I adore O Munaciello and am so happy that this location has opened back up. For all those who have driven down Coral Way, and haven't yet been drawn in to this friendly, quick, and underrated restaurant, you should definitely change that. Be warned that there is only street parking, but if you don't find spots in front, try Coral Way going west in front of the not-to-be-named fast food pizza joint. From the pizzas (Las Vegas and Vesuvio are my faves), the calzones, the apps, the donuts, to the wine, I've never had a bad meal here. In fact, I've only had incredible dinners with friends, whether we dine in or take out.

Yelp
O Munaciello is open on coral way!! This is not a drill!!! Their Midtown location is some of my favorite pizza in the world and it was worth the wait to have a second location closer to home. Same delicious menu offerings and high quality. As usual the stuffed crust with ricotta was delicious. A chewy, perfect crust with lovely, fresh ricotta and a flavorful sauce. Can't wait to order some of my other favorites. The best part is getting the pizza we love without the crowd and wait. We were the only ones there on a Monday night and I'd love to gatekeep so I can keep having them to myself, but I need them to stick around a long time. Please do yourself a favor and go eat this wonderful pizza!

Yelp
Perfect Neapolitan pizza right in the middle of coral way. What a time to be alive. But in all seriousness O' Munaciello is the best pizza in Miami. I've been in love with their first location in Mimo ever since u discovered it a couple years ago. And this new location in coral way is just as amazing! Quick friendly staff, and a nicely decorated space make this a perfect pizza eating experience. I highly recommend trying the hidden meter long pizza option on the bottom of the menu. Just make sure to bring a couple of friends! The only thing missing from here is the customers. They've been open for about three months and it seems word hasn't gotten out yet. Well make sure to get in there as soon as you can and tell all your friends. The Mimo location is always packed and this one will be too soon.

Yelp
Great pizza, and will return to try the other plates. The staff is overly kind and accommodating. I really enjoyed my meal. The lighting is great. I found parking easily. Maybe add more cheese to the pizza? Some say the crust is soggy, but that's because of the sauce. It is still a delicious pie. The $4 for a can of soda is a bit much. I still gave you 5-stars because I think you'll agree that my pizza needed more cheese (see the picture) and nothing motivates a restaurant more than a customer begging for more cheese on a pizza in a Yelp review.

Yelp
The best and most authentic pizza in Florida ! This pizza tastes straight from Italy, thin crust not heavy on the sauce but you can taste the freshness of the tomato. I've tried tons of pizza in Florida but this is by far the closest to a pizza from Italy. The staff is incredible, very kind and willing to explain/alter any pizza on the menu. I ordered their award winning margarita pizza and added prosciutto(only $7) and look how much they put on the pizza ! The other pizza was the CORNICIONE RICOTTA. It was phenomenal the stuffed crust was unlike any other one I've had before. Lastly the mussels as an appetizer are delicious and look how many you get for $21 ! I love this place and will definitely be visiting again !

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. We spent an amazing few weeks in Italy this year and during our brief stop in Florence, this restaurant was recommended as the best place in town for pizza. We didn't visit there since we ran out of time, but I made a note to try it when we got back to Miami. The pizza was decent but the crust was a little floppier. I've had sturdier pies both here and in Italy. We also ordered the bucatini cacio e pepe. One of my favorite dishes. It was served on a wide open plate, so while it started off good, it quickly lost heat and the last few bites were not great. I appreciate that this place offers bread to start. The atmosphere is very brightly lit so it does not have nice intimate Italian vibes I was hoping to recreate that we found throughout Italy.

Paulo L.

Yelp
Amazing Customer Service Food was DELICIOUS Good price and variety I really recommend this place

Ninoska A.

Yelp
The pizza is absolutely delicious! The service is impeccable, and the place is really nice, even has a little patio-like area. Hubby and I love this place!

Yelp
This cute little spot on Coral Way was a delight for dinner! Friendly staff, great pizza, and a casual yet refined atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went for a Sunday night dinner and ordered the two pizzas shown below. The Las Vegas pizza (Not posted online) and the Margherita Pizza. The Las Vegas pizza has sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. It was tasty. Nothing out of this world, but good. My boyfriend and I agreed that the Margherita Pizza was fantastic! The tomato sauce was on the sweeter side. The dough was soft and had a fresh flavor. We couldn't stop eating until all the crust was gone. Every so often, you would get a bite of the fresh mozzarella, which made the experience even better. Overall, between the welcoming staff, and the tasty pizza, I would recommend this restaurant. I will be coming back and trying more of their pizza options soon!

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of the original location in MiMo so I was super excited that they opened up this location 5 minutes from me! I lived in Italy years ago, and Munaciello is the closest I've gotten to authentic pizza in Miami. I can see why it was named the 5th best pizzeria in the US! Service was superb - Ernesto and all the staff were so friendly! They just opened and we were given complimentary bites and Prosecco to enjoy. Such a nice touch and much appreciated. We got the Vegetariana and Vesuvio pizzas to share between the two of us -- both were delicious and we had enough leftover to take home. This is definitely going to be my go-to pizza place now that it's in my neighborhood!!
google avatar

Brandon A.

Yelp
Overall the service was good and the food was fresh. The pizza is soggy but uses good ingredients. However, what turned me off is that the server thought that I didn't understand when he called me a "Descarado" meaning shameless. 20% gratuity was already included in the bill and he thought I should tip more? The service was good, but not that good.
google avatar

Mag T.

Yelp
Just ok nothing special. I ordered the Margherita Dop Pizza and I think it was over priced for what you get. Probably wont be back.
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Miami! I was so happy when they opened on coral way. They have the best pizza. It is true authentic neopolitan and the chef wins pizza making competitions. Pasta is amazing too. Easy to get to, good specials, super friendly staff. Don't miss out on this place...
google avatar

Ana A.

Yelp
Stumbled in this place after deciding we are not having McDonald's for Christmas Eve dinner. This was one of the only restaurants open and oh boy are we glad we found them, It's Italian food specifically from the Naples region. They give you a basket of house made bread to begin and I honestly could just eat a portion of that. We started with the beef carpaccio and had the special of the day which was a crab ravioli and got a pizza as well. Everything was delicious! Our server was so friendly , knowledgeable and Italian that's how you know this place is legit haha. So glad we found this place looking forward to trying more stuff on their menu!

Kelvin S.

Yelp
Excellent food and ambiance here at O Munaciello Coral Way. Loved their food, pasta and pizzas. 5 Star service. Super recommended!!!

Chloe L.

Yelp
Our new weekly pizza spot. This is the best pizza we've had in Miami. Has very unique pizza options; I always get the Cornicione, it's amazing. They also make us pasta with pink sauce which isn't on the menu, but they always make it special for us. My husband loves the sciosciamocca pizza and highly recommends. Also, the bread for the table is some of the best bread ever. Highly recommend! Staff is super friendly and attentive.

Sergio B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! You can't go wrong with any of their pizzas! The service is impecable and the desserts are amazing!
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
The most delicious food on coral way! The owners are incredibly nice, the service is always on point. The chef is amazing & it's just such a nice restaurant to go for a casual night in the block! My husband and I love to go for happy hour, for a quick bite to eat and sometimes just to have a night out with our friends. Highly recommend!!!!

Vanessa R.

Yelp
The best restaurant ever!!! The branzino was delicious, the pizzas and the salads!!!!!!

Manny D.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. My favorite spot to satisfy a craving for Italian food. I really enjoy the Cacio e Pepe, all the Pizzas, and the cannoli.
google avatar

Joaquin P.

Yelp
Worst pizza I ever tried I was sick for several days , completely undercooked and tasteless. Avoid this place

Nancy D.

Yelp
The Margherita and Vegetarian pizza s were okay but overly blackened on the bottom. Some "leopard" patterning is tasty, but our pizzas were about 75% blackened. The biggest negative to this restaurant is when they put the electronic device in your face after handing over your credit card and don't give you a chance to figure out the tip and they say "you just have to sign." THEY put in a 20% service charge which I realized after I left. Won't be back because of that.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Over all it was a nice experience, the food and service was good. The only thing they added 20% service charge for a party of two. This is not South Beach where you would get a lot of visitors from out of state and out of the country. This is a restaurant for the local people and to add 20% to the bill is not in line for the area and will not succeed
google avatar

Luli A.

Yelp
The food was amazing and our waiter was very nice, helpful and gave great recommendations. I have to give 2 starts because the hostess was very rude. We were a party of 8 and when we arrived she very rudely told us we had to hurry and be out of the restaurant by 8. If another party was coming she could have explained nicely.

Leslie A.

Yelp
I was excited about this place after I saw the pic of the vesuvio pizza and a couple reviews saying it was the best pizza, Im sorry but the pizzas I ordered were cold and tasteless, and we ordered three different pizzas, the ingredients might not be the best, the vesuvio pizza, didn't taste nor smell like truffle. The burrata extremely hard on the outside, everything was cold! Anyway the ice cream and the tiramisu was good. The people serving the place were extremely nice and attentive but the pizza was a no no, far far away from a pizza to remember.
google avatar

Alfredo H.

Yelp
We have been to their location on Biscayne Blvd and hoped the food was just as good, we were pleasantly surprised, this is a small restaurant where they make you feel like you're at home. The Bucatini Cacio e Pepe was exceptional and so was the Tagliatini Al Ragú. Don't miss out on this great place before it's discovered and you'll have to beg for a table.
google avatar

M J.

Yelp
Newly opened location. We'd been to their other restaurant and loved the food. You assume it's going to be great and authentic when you're surrounded by both staff and patrons speaking Italian. And it is. This was a more formal but still casual interior - and the food was excellent. True Italian food made by Italians. Award winning pizza, pasta tdf - with some very interesting but simple sauces. House salad also excelled. Bread basket contained their own bread swirled with charcoal. Unique and delicious dipped in their incredible EVOO and balsamic. Didn't have room for dessert, sadly. Server (owner?) was very attentive and professional. Reservations online were via google assistant - first time with this and it was easy. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Amazing place me & my friends really enjoy it everything about this place The place is outstanding and the food really good, we're definitely go back

Yelp
Amazing Neapolitan pizza and Service with a great ambiance and reasonable prices and other locations through Miami area

Rain G.

Yelp
A great spot for pizza and pasta, very Neapolitan. O'Munaciello deserves your business if you love the real thing, just like the food in Napoli or on the Sorrentine Peninsula.

A Z.

Yelp
i have tried all of the usual suspects in and around brickell including piola, tutto pizza, mister 01, belillo, dc pie co., l'artiseria, brickell city pizza, and vapiano. the pizza that i had at o munaciello (the "carmine," named for their master pizza maker) was the best and it isn't close. as a welll-traveled new york pizza snob who has been around for a while, i rate this in my top five of all time. the table bread was also exceptional. salad was fresh and nicely presented. the bright, cheery decor and professional service added to the experience. highly recommended.

Ron S.

Yelp
Mediocre. Flavorless, dry, pathetic rip-off of a Caesar salad for $18, comprised only of lettuce, very little dressing, dry parmesan sprinkles, and a few lonesome, stale croutons. Burrata on the Maradona pizza was so cold that it made the entire center of the pizza cold too. Very stingy with the toppings, even for "traditional" style - only a few lonely crumbs of spicy sausage and a couple of extremely tiny dollops of 'Nduja on the pie. They didn't have the dessert we ordered. Started cleaning our table and brought the check without asking if we were finished. It happened to be half-price wine night, so that was the only saving grace. Be aware that gratuity is included on the bill already. They seemed harried and overwhelmed. Wouldn't likely go back.
google avatar

Jorge N.

Yelp
Better than the pizza/pasta I had in Italy! Small dedicated staff transplanted from Firenze really adds to the overall experience. The entire team are absolute professionals and the quality of service and food definitely shows. Will definitely be making this pizzeria a regular.

Yelp
some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. and the meatballs were amazing hostess and staff were great. smiling and great service. my now weekly pizza place ! highly recommended to all

Yelp
The service and food is extraordinary. I highly recommend you visit this gem. We had a truffle pizza which was exquisite, grilled squid as appetizer and grilled fish with vegetables. Excellent!!!!

Yelp
My favorite margarita pizza in town. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend if you're looking for napolitan style pizza margarita with DOP mozzarella!

Yelp
toda fue esquisito la verdad , lo recomiendo , de los mejores restaurantes italiano de miami comparado , con los de Italia sin duda , servicio exelente, la comida muy sabrosa , el restaurante limpio y muy bien decorado , que mas puedo decir five star

Carmen A.

Yelp
Met a friend at an incredible hidden secret on Coral Way, for dinner tonight. The place is pristine, nicely decorated and welcoming. Owners, Andrea and Carolina welcoming and service oriented. Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I will, for sure, go back and recommend O' Munaciello -Coral Way-. It will not disappoint.
