The 19 Best Pizza Places In Miami

"’O Munaciello is a restaurant with a massive pizza angel hanging in the dining room, a fairly large diorama of an Italian village in the corner, and a domed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in some sort of place of worship. But they also serve one of Miami’s absolute best Neapolitan pizzas (their other location is in Florence), and you will indeed be worshipping the cornicione di ricotta when you discover its crust is stuffed with ricotta. This is a fork-and-knife pizza—a true Neapolitan pie—so check this place out next time you're craving one." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

The 12 Best Restaurants In MiMo

"The interior of O’Munaciello features a life-size statue of an angel with outstretched arms hanging from the ceiling. There’s a large diorama of an Italian village in the corner and strange little statues scattered around the dining room. But you won’t notice any of it when the pizza hits the table because it’s that good. This excellent Neapolitan pizza definitely requires a fork and knife to eat, but it’s not a soupy mess in the middle. The crust (which comes in regular and black charcoal) is soft and bubbly on the outside and thin and tender towards the center. The cornicione di ricotta has an amazing stuffed ricotta crust and is good enough to distract you from the pizza deity dangling 20 feet above your head." - ryan pfeffer

We ordered two pizzas and spent $62 — definitely not worth it. The pizza was soggy to the point where we couldn’t even eat it with our hands. Nothing special about the flavor or quality either. Not sure what the hype is all about. There are so many better and more reasonably priced pizza spots out there. Also, be aware: there’s no parking.

Wow wow wow! As soon as I entered, I felt like I had been transported back to Naples. From the Maradona paraphernalia and presepe, to the warm service, to the PHENOMENAL food, it ticked all the boxes for me. We ordered the parmigiana di melanzane, Calabrese pizza, and tiramisu and it was all authentic and delicious. Very reasonable prices and easily some of the best Italian food I have had in the US. 100% will be back!!!

Google
5 stars, hands down. The pizza at ’O Munaciello is pure Naples—crispy, airy crust and top-tier ingredients straight from Italy. The cozy, rustic vibe and super friendly service make it feel like a little slice of Italy in Miami. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
The best Miami pizza - even better than New York. I know is a bold statement. They are literally the best pizza in the world. They have the trophies in the restaurant for you to see it. More than that when tasty the pizza you can get the quality why they are the best! The restaurant is a easy affordable place for you to have a great time with your family. The decor made to feel in the south of Italy. With the love for soccer and great pizza! The energetic crew with everyone from Italy made you to feel that you are at the Nona’s kitchen. We know pizza, they have a great variety, my favorite one, always the caprichosa, a traditional spicy pepperoni. There is a fantastic artichoke pizza. As usual in an Italian place like this try for sure this two things Espresso and Tiramisu, it’s like desert in toscana. Thank you for reading and enjoy!

Google
Very good, authentic napolitan style pizza. Restaurant’s interior was super welcoming and service was great. Area not so nice around the neighborhood, not a great place to walk around before or after your meal, and you’ll likely need street parking which is super accessible in the street near the restaurant. Probably wouldn’t get the tiramisu again. The Nutella pizza was a hit with the group. Three pizzas were enough for four people. Beware, tip is already included in the bill, automatic 18%

Google
Best pizza I have ever had in Miami and I’ve lived here 20 years. Reasonable pricing and, perhaps my favorite part, when you finish your meal they wait for you to ask for the check whether that be 5 or 20 minutes later. No rushing you out like so many places do today. I dont like the tip included automatically but beyond that its terrific.

Google
As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a handsome young guy. I didn't know what to order so he suggested a spicy pizza. He also added this sauce or cheese, he told me to place it on the pizza when I get home, as I had ordered it to go. That was one of the best I've ever had, it was so delicious. I also ordered the Caesar salad and it came with amazing croutons.

Located in the vibrant MiMo district in Miami, 'O Munaciello presents itself as a corner of Naples in the heart of the city. Its convenient location offers customers the advantage of free parking, a pleasant surprise and rarity that makes visiting easier. Upon entering, one is greeted by a decoration that evokes the Neapolitan essence: homey details and numerous references to Diego Maradona and soccer, reflecting the passion and culture of its land of origin. This authentic environment creates a cozy and distinctive atmosphere. During our visit, we noticed a delay in service. However, we understood that this was because the chef prepares each dish from scratch, avoiding shortcuts and guaranteeing freshness and authenticity in every bite. This commitment to quality is evident and deserves recognition. The reputation of their pizzas is notable, having been awarded on multiple occasions. We opted for the Pizza Las Vegas, adorned with a sausage of exceptional flavor, which delighted our palate. Additionally, the Risotto al Funghi Porcini stood out for its creaminess and depth of flavor, demonstrating mastery in cooking rice dishes. To culminate, the Tiramisu pleasantly surprised us; its homemade cream, fluffy and light, offered a perfect sweet ending to our gastronomic experience. It's important to note that prices are in the medium-high range, in line with the quality offered. Also, 18% gratuity is included in the bill, a practice that is useful to keep in mind at the time of payment.

Yelp
One of the best, if not the best pizza I've ever had. Dough is very soft and the sauce is fantastic. 'O Munaciello is featured in Robb Report's The 100 Best Pizzerias in the world 2024. Great food, Very Friendly Service, and Casual Ambiance.

Yelp
55$ for a pizza and one glass of wine. We ordered one of the award-winning pizzas and it was just ok. Just didn't get the buzz. Everyone was nice, and I enjoyed the restaurant decor. You need to pay to park (meters on the street)

Yelp
This place is definitely busy and deserves their awards. This is my top 2 in Miami. Their dough is great, the sauce is well balanced and strong, and they are super super friendly. We got 3 pastas - the calabrese, the Las Vegas, and the one with prosciutto. I would advise that people confirm it has tomato sauce on the pizzas because this is not the default here. No knock on them - I like having some different experiences. Just want people to know what to expect. Didn't get the try the calzones, but they looked enormous. Desserts are also very good. Friend got the rum cake, and I had pistachio ice cream. I would have picked something else probably (tiramisu) but this was the other ask from the rest of the table. Super high quality and understand why they have won all of those awards !!

Yelp
A solid 4,75 stars. We did not have a reservations and arrived around 9. They were able to squeeze us in thankfully, so it is recommended you get a reservation. Staff was friendly and service was super fast. Very colorful and vibrant restaurant. From what I understand the owner has another location in Naples Italy. Ordered the Troisi ( buffalo cheese, porcini mushrooms and shaved black truffle) as well as a caprese ( with buffalo cheese). Food came out within ten minutes even though the restaurant was completely packed. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
We decided to stop by on a Sunday for pizza. It was very crowded but we got a table right away. It took a while for the server to come over and once he did, we gave him our order which was the Maradona and the Vesuvio pizzas. We also got a beer and glass of wine. While we were waiting the place got more crowded so we knew we picked a good place. After 10 minutes we realized that the server forgot our drinks so we had to waive him down. He just smiled and went to go get them but then forgot the wine. He placed the beer and ran off lol so we had to flag him down again for the wine. He smiled again but did not apologize for missing the beer and wine which was odd. Then the pizza came which was the saving grace of the night. The pizza was fantastic, chewy crust and fresh toppings. The Maradona was our favorite out of the two. We will give it another shot but the service was lacking.

Sam E.

Yelp
This is number 55 on the top 100 pizza in the world. https://robbreport.com/food-drink/dining/best-pizzerias-world-2024-ranking-1235855291/ It was not bad and it definitely was on the list for a reason. The ambience is like you are in Italy and was really welcoming. The service was very good and the people were extremely nice. You have ot try it to see why it is #55 on the list. There are only 2 pizzerias in all of Florida and of course the # 1 is in NYC. But this was good and worth the trip

Yelp
If you're dreaming of authentic Neapolitan pizza in Miami, look no further than 'O Munaciello! With locations in Florence, MIMO, and Coral Way, each visit is a delightful passport to Italy, complete with vibrant energy and delicious draft Peroni. The Cornicione Ricotta is a must-try, with its amazing stuffed crust, while the Cuore di Pistacchio will have you dreaming long after. Each pie is a masterpiece crafted in a wood-fired oven, consistently delivering flavors that are out of this world. Between the fun décor and the award-winning pizzas, it's no wonder they're highly ranked in the U.S. and twenty-five in the world!
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere with friendly staff Italian looking decor but noisy once the place filled up with costumers. We were curious so we decided to share the large pizza with charcoal dough. The crust was soggy and the toppings had almost no flavor. We expected much better as this restaurant has an award for 25th best pizza. (?) We also order the branzino, it was so small barely enough for one person. After complaining, the price was reduced by 50% from $37, that was nice but should not have happened. Not sure we will be going back so fast.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, delicious gelato, and a fantastic selection of red wine. The service is top-notch. Our favorite go-to spot in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Carlos A.

Yelp
Pizza was great and was received fairly quickly from the time that we ordered, but our server never returned prior to us ordering the pizza, and then to just to drop it off! We had to flag another waiter to ask for oregano and red pepper flakes. I don't know if this is was because I was seated outside but I just felt ignored the whole time. As I was writing this when we had nearly finished eating, someone that was not our server finally brought us the salt/pepper, oil and vinegar; which further shows the lack of attention given to us. Truly shameful to hear GREAT REVIEWS of this place and then have it soiled by poor service that made me feel like I was less important than the customers seated inside.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Let's start with the flavors of our dishes did not disappoint. I felt like I was eating in Italy, unpretentious and authentic this place serves it up. Service was ok, I felt it could have been a bit better, more mindful, they were slammed but it's important to ask your table how things are going, bring my spritz before my food starts coming out. I felt they were unorganized. All the dishes we ate were wonderful, my only complaint was that the pizza was a bit cold and mushy in the center, so that was disappointing, the flavor was there the texture not so much. Will try again in the future.

Yelp
These people are thieves. my bill was for $65 but my charge was for $90. They almost kicked us out at 10 o'clock and we were still eating. Horrible place. If you think we arrived at 9:45 you are confusing us with another table. We arrived at 9:10 and had ample time to order. The bill was aprox 65.00 ( $ 53.00 for 2 pizzas, $ 10 for 1 beer and $ 4.00 for a soft drink, plus tax plus 18% tip) How did you arrive to $ 90.00!!!!

Yelp
The pizza was fantastic. The server did really well. Perfect ambience. I recommend it

Yelp
World Champion Pizza By Carmine! Must try seriously, the best pizza I have had in my life. They have all their awards up at the restaurant! The service is TOP notch.

Yelp
Haven't been in a while but was turned away at another biscayne local spot for no res. Walked into O and we smiled, I said can we sit outside? He said simply, "anywhere you like". Perfection. Simple. Human. Welcoming. Cool waiter. Funny. Natural. Excellent zucchini pizza and margarita/ham. Delicious dough. Beer/coke and that's a wrap. Excellent.
google avatar

Adele R.

Yelp
The food was great. Pizza was delicious and you can tell it had The freshest ingredients. The ricotta stuffed crust pizza was out of this world! The wine was also very tasty. Great selection. The Cesar salad was the best I've ever had. The seasoning on the croutons and the way they were made were brilliant. I need to know the recipe! The service was great. Everyone was very nice and sweet. Very decorative space. Walls covered with art and things hanging from the ceiling. Very fun inside. I would come back to try more things from the menu! Definitely a place to bring groups. Food is more than shareable

Yelp
Best Neapolitan pizza in Miami. Service is always friendly. The atmosphere is great for a date or group dinner.

Yelp
Amazing true Italian good!!!! It was recommended by Italians so I went. Being that I've been to Italy I knew what I should expect from pizza. This place is legit. Nothing better than eating a tasty Italian pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food! From the salad, to the pizza with prosciutto, to the spaghetti and vongole, to the cannoli. Incredible. Great food and impeccable service. Nice cozy ambience. Our waitress (from Argentina,) and Daniel were gracious, friendly, and professional. I strongly recommend O'Munaciello on Coral Way. I can't wait to go again. Yum!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
We recently were in the area and indulged in this delicious coal-fired pizza. My kids loved the Margherita pizzas. It was a perfect blend of tomato, mozzarella and basil. I believe the Vegetarian pizza is a masterpiece with its medley of roasted vegetables. The prices are high for pizza but its justified by the quality. The prompt and friendly service allowed us to every our dining experience. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking to elevate their pizza appreciation, as it combines tradition and innovation.
google avatar

Anton E.

Yelp
Service wasn't the best and the entire experience was a little weird. The pizza was soggy to the point where we couldn't even eat it with our hands. Not sure about the hype on this one.
google avatar

Zulay V.

Yelp
My husband and I are self-proclaimed pizza enthusiasts, always on the hunt for the perfect slice. And let me tell you, 'O Munaciello has earned a top spot on our list! The crudo prosciutto pizza is simply divine--every bite bursts with authentic Italian flavors that transport you straight to Naples. Located in Miami's upper east side, 'O Munaciello exudes charm and authenticity, from its cozy ambiance to its attentive service. If you're craving a taste of Italy right here in Miami, look no further. Highly recommend indulging in their delectable pizzas!

Yelp
I saw this was a top rated pizza place and wanted to try it. Tuesday happened to be the day I was there the pizza was $8 great deal. We got 2 and a Cesar salad that was $18 which was a little small for the price. Pizza was good s little soupy inside. The sauce was good too. I don't think I would run back for me the pizza was good nothing mind blowing. Definitely glad I did get to finally try it.

Yelp
Going to keep this one brief: went for lunch on a Sunday. Prices are a bit high for this good value hunting Yelper. Pizza was good but I much prefer Mr 01 and their perfect, thin crust. We also had an eggplant parmigiana sandwich which was good but light on filling so we mostly tasted just bread. At $19, it should've had way more eggplant and cheese. Pastas served around us looked solid but portions were small and prices were high, not my favorite combination. A solid neighborhood Italian pizzeria with adorable decor but not a favorite of mine.
google avatar

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
So this place kept popping up on my Yelp so I finally decided to go and try them out. The service was amazing. I tried their bruschetta which was good but could have used some dressing. I did a special order with chicken and pasta with lemon sauce. It was also good but way too much oil for my liking. I ordered pizza to go for my kids and from what they told me, the pizzas were good, especially the margarita pizza.
google avatar

Ed W.

Yelp
Great restaurant for meeting with friends and family. Relaxed atmosphere and casual dining but superb food and service. This was our first time coming here so we basically tried a bunch of pizzas but will definitely come back to also try some of their pastas. Pizzas were incredibly good and their dough is very thin and tasty. We also tried some other crust they recommended and it was actually perfect. I hope I can come back soon enough. Service was attentive and friendly. PS: look carefully where you park. There is street parking available but not on their block.
google avatar

Victor F.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at, the pizza was amazing and it has a different taste to it, must come and try it out
google avatar

Karina A.

Yelp
We had dinner here with a group of 9 for my boyfriends birthday on a Tuesday. The restaurant was pretty empty which was nice, the service was great and our food came out super quick! We ordered 3 different wines that were all fantastic. The Margherita pizzas are $8 on Tuesday's so we ordered 2 of those to try & share while we decided what we wanted to eat. If you're a fan of doughy pizza like I am you will love these authentic Italian pies. The crust is thick & fluffy & the slice itself is thin & a little soggy from the sauce & cheese, it was just so delicious. We ended up ordering different pies to share so we could try as many as possible. The Cornicione di Ricotta was definitely my favorite, the crust was stuffed with ricotta cheese (which is my favorite) it was sooo delicious! I also loved the Maradona, the burrata melted perfectly on the pizza & the spicy sausage gave it a great little kick. The Vesuvio had an amazing truffle taste & the cherry tomatoes made up for the lack of sauce on the pie. The Carmine was a cool pie because every slice was different, I really enjoyed the slice with fried eggplant on it & my boyfriend loved the one with broccoli rabe & sausage! We also ordered a Tagliatelle al Ragu, it was a traditional pasta dish with great homemade pasta & yummy meat sauce. If you are a fan of Napoleon style pizza & authentic Italian food I highly recommend trying O'Munaciello! We will definitely be back for more soon!
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
If you want real Italian food this is the place. I go there all the time. I think I have eaten everything on their menu at least once. The pizzas are amazing. It feels like I am eating at my Italian grandma's house (even though I am not Italian). You have to try the black crust pizza! You will not regret it! The service is always good. There is someone there always to help you. On the weekend, call for reservations. Yes it gets that packed but so worth it. It's a family ambiance. There is inside and outside seating. There's always customers even on a week day night. The parking is on the side street and it's a one way road turning from Biscayne Blvd. Park on the left side of the street not the right.
google avatar

Jacques R.

Yelp
This is the place... It is an authentic Italian Pizza place. You have the best of both worlds with the pizza as the outer crust is thick like I like it and the center of the pizza is thin like most people like it. So, now that we have the crust (very important for me) sorted out, the ingredients are top notch as well. if you decide to order the truffle pizza, beware it is not fresh black truffles. other than that, it is very good and tasty. The other ingredients as the tomato and cheese are on the very good side. As for service. it is quite good as well. The place has a good ambiance and is correctly priced. They do accept corkage for wine so you can take your good bottles to enjoy with a good pizza. All in all, will continue to come back.
google avatar

Aron S.

Yelp
Wow, O Munaciello outdid themselves. Service was a little quick, but that's their style; it's Italian. Even some of the servers are Italian! Their wine was amazing (I got the Chianti, which was just what the doctor ordered), service was great. Staff was outgoing, sharp, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The pizza was out of this world, same with the tuna tartare appetizer. I can't recommend this place enough! It was also clean, inviting, and well-kept.
google avatar

helen d.

Yelp
O! O! O! 'O Munaciello is the absolute, hands down, most amazing, crazy delicious pizza we have had. Every time we are in Miami, we have to make our way here. It's a pilgrimage. No it's a near religious experience for our family that sees pizza in FANatical terms. Ny style - well we grew up on it. I've had more than my fair share! Love it but nothing, and I mean nothing compares to neopolitan authentic wood fired pizza in those domes. man O man. The charcoal dough is to die for. Chewy and light. Their charcuterie board is dyn-O-mite too! Heavens if we lived here, we'd literally want to live around the corner from here. The young owner and his family is almost always there even at the odd times we are there. He always says hi and his young family is so sweet. Run guys. It's that good. Please don't change a thing! I'll snap pics next time. I promise you won't regret it!
google avatar

Javier R.

Yelp
Amazing place, the pizza is super authentic and full of those delicious flavors that you only find when you fly across that water into Italy... loved it Service is great.
google avatar

Satra W.

Yelp
Delicious pasta! Had meatballs with rigatoni. Euros playing on tv. Great style overall.
google avatar

Viviana P.

Yelp
This is such a cute restaurant. Very authentic Italian. Definitely get the pizza. The pizza is the closest thing I've had here to Italy! We had the margarita classica and the margarita napolitana. Both equally amazing! We also decided to try the cacio a Pepe pasta, and although the pasta itself was fresh and delicious, we did not taste the cacio a Pepe or the added truffle. It just tasted like buttered pasta. Don't forget dessert! We had the Angioletti and Nutella and it was to die for! Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Alexander A.

Yelp
Loved it, amazing real Napoli pizza. Dessert was also delicious, Lucas was great. Great service.
google avatar

Jon D.

Yelp
Do you like soggy, wet pizza dripping with oil and grease? This is the place for you. The good: the Bruschetta was amazing! And the crust of the pizza (just the crust) that's literally it. The bad: ordered two pizzas, one veggie and one margarita with buffalo mozzarella. The crust and dough is delicious but the pizza itself is a soggy wet mess and completely tasteless. The crust was literally the best part of the pie. It's so soggy and wet you cannot properly eat it, it just falls apart also a ton of oil/grease laying in top of the side (see pics). Service, as noted by others, terribly slow, there was only 1 other table seated and 3 waiters still you're waiting forever until they come and serve you Why is the service so slow? They don't have to work hard. The 15% gratuity is added automatically. Also the menus are pretty difficult to read the descriptions. The English description is followed by the "/" or directly below the Italian descriptions. If you're coming here for the pizza, don't. There are several great pizza spots in Miami, this isn't one of them.
google avatar

Adriana F.

Yelp
This place is A MUST!!!! Everything is delicious! Starting with the bread!!!! Wow!!! We tried the calamari, the soup, Carpaccio, risotto, pasta with sea food WOW
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
Painfully slow service and no parking but delicious pizza. This cute little spot serves Delicious Neapolitan style pizza, which is my favorite. I usually skip the crust, but their crust was deliciously fluffy. I treated myself to the $26 Vesuvio pizza with buratta, truffles, and cherry tomatoes. They have all sorts of classic and indulgent pizzas. Even though it was Saturday night, there was still happy hour going on until 8. They offer $5 beers and wines. Be wary of parking on the side street because we got a ticket and nearly a tow.
google avatar

Alan A.

Yelp
Wonderful service and accommodating. Take special requests and open to customized preferences. You can truly Taste the fresh ingredients.

Yelp
Second time here and everything is spectacular. The quality of the food, ingredients, and wine is amazing. Great atmosphere and nice music. This time had a pleasure of meeting the Chef Carmine Candito. Thanks for everything, can wait to come back and try something new.
google avatar

Yelp
Cornicione Di Ricotta is the best pizza I have every tasted!! The stuffed crust was chef kiss. The service was amazing and very attentive. I was pleased with the ambiance.
google avatar

Natalie Y.

Yelp
Came here with friends after reading the raving reviews and seeing someone post about the award winning pizza here on insta! I had really high expectations because of all the international awards, which maybe set me up for disappointment. Nothing was bad, it just wasn't spectacular, and I've enjoyed pizza from other Italian pizza places in Miami better. For all of the pizzas we ordered, I loved the dough and crust, I just didn't find the quality of the sauce, cheese or toppings anything special (we ordered the Vesuvio pizza and an eggplant pizza). I did really like the Insalata Rucola E Grana- it was fresh and tasty. Service was very slow, even though the restaurant was pretty empty and there seemed to be a lot of staff standing around, it was hard to get their attention to order and get the bill.

Steven H.

Yelp
This is exactly like eating in Italy. The love of food and desire to please. Pizza is amazing. The dough, the sauce and the cheese! The pastas are also great. The bread is great. They bake their own bread. Same dough as the pizza! I have been here probably 10 times after I started writing this review. Everything we have had has been excellent. Yelp
Best pizza crust in Miami. An almost overwhelming selection of toppings to please any palate!

Yelp
I love everything about this place! The location- corner pizzeria with wrap around outside patio, inside is high vaulted ceilings, blessed with an angel that's from Italy! Literally shipped from Italy! Everything all the little decorations, napkins all have a special touch. The best is the pizza and the customer service. Exceptional! Like being at a restaurant in Italy where they treat you like friends and family. I especially love their spicy salami margarita pizza with the black dough. Never had anything like it. I keep telling my friends and family, there's something special about the dough! It must be blessed by the angel from up high!
