"When you’re hungry and have precisely 24.2 minutes before your next meeting, go to Oasis Grill. The speedy team at this halal Mediterranean takeout spot churns out gyros, shawarma plates, and Greek salads like they’ve done it thousands of times—because they probably have. After years of feeding the nearby office workers who swarm here during lunch, they can clear a crowd in minutes. Order the beef and lamb gyro or the chicken shawarma and watch the team quickly finish off whichever meat you choose on the grill, and stuff it into a lavash pre-loaded with tzatziki and greens. This mini-chain has four locations, concentrated in the Financial District with another outpost in Berkeley. They’re all carbon copies of one another when it comes to efficiency, quality, and menu size, so pick whichever one is closest. A meal here won’t blow you away, but you’ll appreciate a solid meal that you can grab and go with a short wait." - Patrick Wong

Falafel Bliss and Shawarma Satisfaction! I participated in a multi-month professional training program in San Francisco's Financial District a few years ago. Weekend lunch options were limited, especially for those of us who preferred something beyond typical fast food. One day, someone recommended Oasis Grill during a lunchtime debate about where to grab a bite. It quickly became a favorite among us for the rest of the program. My office was nearby, so Oasis Grill became a go-to lunch spot for the following few years during my workweek. I particularly enjoyed the falafel and shawarma wraps. The shawarma offered a choice of beef, lamb, or chicken. My regular visits were abruptly interrupted by the pandemic. Then, last week, a craving for a falafel wrap led me back to Oasis Grill. Though the staff had changed, the place looked mostly unchanged. The staff quickly filled orders, and most importantly, the falafel wrap was just as tasty as I remembered! The wraps come in two sizes: regular and deluxe. The deluxe has a few extra items for a couple of dollars more, but the regular is just as satisfying. The store is very small, and there is no place to sit, but if you are looking for a takeout option, it is a very good option.

Quick service, cook to order food. Tastes amazing and well priced for the amount you get. One other thing that impressed me the most was, as I walking out the door with my order, a person in need was asking the owner for some food, indicating he was hungry. Without hesitation, the owner turned around went in the restaurant, and started getting the person in need some food before I could react/respond. Awesome to see that! I will support this business as much as I can. By the time I got back, the person had food and was eating in front of the store. Very cool experience overall!

Google
Had the beef shawarma. Tasted very good and the fries were simple and good! It did seem a bit expensive, I paid 30 bucks for myself for a place like this it seemed expensive. But downtown SF, i understand. The cashier and the cook were very nice! Would recommend!

Going back into the office three days a week is tough. Well, at least I can eat at my old favorite restaurants around Fidi again. Oasis Grill is still around. I can't believe it. Most of Drumm st. feel abandoned. We got the beef shawarma wrap $17 and a vegan deluxe bowl $14. It didn't taste as good as before though. Still very good. My shawarma wrap had plenty of meat and had a lot of flavor. Good job everyone at Oasis Grill.

Google
Great food and high-quality Shawarma and sish tawouk. Services pretty quick but the store itself is small. Friendly staff. Hot sauce is a must, some of the best in the Bay Area! Delicious and will definitely come again.

Google
Happy to give Oasis Grill a 5 star review! Excellent food! The gyro wrap was delicious and if you're an uncultured American like myself it's pronounce "year-o" lol. Manager/owner was very hospitable and gave us a sample of falafel while we waited (that was also delicious). This is a great spot to grab some fast and deliciouse Mediterranean street food to take back home or to your favorite spot. I'll for sure be back again for the gyro wrap.

Austin Stewart

Google
The gyro was really good! The ingredients used were fresh and the meat was full of flavor. They even added a little bit of spice within the gyro. The service was walk up and go, but they made the food fast on the spot. I would recommend!

The line for weekday lunch stretches quite far, so I am inclined to believe they are equipped to serve high volumes. But I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and there were only a couple other customers in this little take-out spot. $11 Chicken Shawarma - chicken with tahini, lettuce, tomatoes & topped with garlic sauce, wrapped in lavash: The wrap was huge and satisfied my hunger. However, I have learned that I am not the biggest fan of lavash. I would have preferred it wrapped in something softer, like a pita. But that's more of a personal preference. The chicken was pretty juicy, but the sauce was dripping quite a bit, even though I kept the bottom wrapped in foil. $5.50 Baklava: Why is baklava always so expensive? I can't say no to it. This was especially flaky, crunchy, and sweet with the nutty pistachio flavor. I ate one piece and saved the rest in the fridge for Mr. Joy, and it was still pretty good a few hours later. Now I hate to say anything negative, especially if it's something that didn't happen to me. Another patron had placed an order online and he came in to ask if they had his order, and they insinuated that there aren't any online orders. A few minutes later, the manager emerged and said they did have his order ready, but the customer said frustratedly that he already canceled the order. The manager said he would give the customer a bad review for 'leaving the food.' This is just a classic case of miscommunication and both parties could have tried a little harder to clear things up. However, I do think that Oasis Grill could have been less lazy about checking their orders and make more of an effort to placate the annoyed customer. Though I thought the service could have been better (even though this didn't happen to me), I thought the food was alright. I will not return for a wrap, but should I ever end up at OG, I'll try a a skewer plate or some hummus instead.

Yelp
Don't know if Mo still works here or whether he still owns/manages this place, but I used to eat here all the time when I worked nearby. Every time I go there, he recognizes me (and other regulars) and is so friendly. The food is good too. I love their chicken shawarma wrap and falafels! Oasis Grill has many locations in the City, but I believe this may be their OG location. Small take out place, fantastic food, located on Drumm and Sacramento.

Dania J.

Yelp
I came here with my family and we had, without exaggeration, the worst experience ever at a restaurant. The woman working there, don't know her name but she had a headwrap, took our order with an attitude and then demanded us to move from where we were standing twice because she wanted us to stand in a specific corner while waiting for our food (even though the restaurant was empty). When I called her out on her attitude while picking up our shawarmas, she started yelling to us, including to my mother "Take your f*cking shawarma!...Get the f*ck out of here!" We continued for a minute to argue and then left the store...Times must be real hard employing for this restaurant as it seems they're hiring people out of the mental asylum now. They've also jacked up the prices and want to change extra for everything, even things that used to be standard in the shawarma.

Michael L.

Yelp
I eat a lot of middle eastern food and what I can tell you is this place is far from authentic. The shawarma sandwich tasted more like a Mexican burrito filled with lettuce. The beef was spiced in an unfamiliar way. It was terrible - i tossed it. The hummus was OK. Hard pass!

Reeven S.

Yelp
I was a bit disappointed with Oasis Grill because the quality of their shawarma was lacking. I ordered the beef shawarma, which took a while to receive. People who ordered after me received their orders first. The beef shawarma was dry and bland--definitely needed more sauce to add flavor and texture. For $14, I don't think it was worth it. It was pretty big, but the lack of flavor does not justify the price. They do offer many more options on their menu, so maybe the shawarma is not their best offering. I am intrigued to try their skewer plates, kebabs, and other marinated meats since I saw a few people order those. The restaurant is just for takeout. There is no indoor seating. I'm not sure how hectic it can get during prime meal hours, but there were a decent number of people when I visited.

Yelp
The flavor of the food was quite good, although the decision to use ground chicken made it feel a little less fresh. Also the bread they used for the wrap was crunchy but looked like it was made in a factory. Service was prompt and friendly, and ambiance was simple with 2 seats in the restaurant. They did have good music though!

May-Lynn L.

Yelp
I was in the area to see a comedy show at the punchline and wanted to grab dinner beforehand. I ordered the chicken shwarma, and considering the fact that we were in San Fran, the price for the portion size was pretty good. Everything was marinated well, and it hit the spot. I don't think there was anything "Wow" that would bring me back, but I would say it's a solid choice in the city, especially if you want shwarma

Yelp
I love love love Oasis and their falafel. The wraps are delicious and I really like the fries. There's a nice assortment of wraps or plates of Greek/Mediterranean food and I'm always happy to stop at any of the locations around the city. My only small issue is the Greek salad is sub-par at best. The feta isn't salty, the olives are almost non-noticeable, and it's a really small serving. I've tried it twice, and I think I'll just stop getting it and stick with wraps (so so so good).

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Yummers lunch - falafel lavish wrap hits the spot everytime! I love that you can see it being made in front of you, fresh, healthy, generous portion & good value for SF - fast counter service, looks like a family run business which I always like to support over a chain franchise, clean interior & friendly counter staff - will branch out with more adventurous menu items next time.

Trisha M.

Yelp
Convenient spot to grab lunch. Had a spicy lamb shawarma. Flavors were good. Loved the tzatziki. But sometimes the pickled veggies were overpowering. Would probably return to try something else. Portion was filling. And service was friendly and fast.

Jan B.

Yelp
Haven't been here in San Francisco working for likely 5 years. This place is across the street from Moscone West and I used to come a few times a week when I was working at Moscone for a show. I was not disappointed when I returned in early November. The place is bustling and the food remained authentic, fresh and delicious. Authentic middle eastern food prepared in front of you. I enjoyed Shish Taouk Plate for lunch and it was enough that I didn't have dinner. (2 Skewers seasoned chicken breast plus sides: Hummus, Cucumber & Yogurt salad, Mediterranean salad & bread) Thanks for the consistency! It was exactly as I remembered.

Amber L.

Yelp
Meh! The ingredients were fresh and the people were nice, however, the taste was bland and my wrap was dry. Not for us.

Anna P.

Yelp
Reliable delicious catering, but absolutely be all FRESH, their food is amazingly fresh

Yelp
I Haven't been here in San Francisco Long time ago since I'm working home Oasis Grill is the one of the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area ,I have seen . They have choice plates and wraps for every palate. I love their falafel wraps as well as gyro wraps and their kababs . The folks behind the counter they are hard working and smart. and the lady there was really friendly very pleasant and helping my family with their order They have a loyal customer base and I am a part of that thank you for the best customer service I got we are really appreciate it.

J T.

Yelp
I have been getting Shawarma's at this location for over 5 years now and this last time around, somethings are definitely different. The wrap they now use for the shawarma is not the same and there is a sauce missing from the wrap too. The flavor of the chicken itself has also changed. I will check in again soon Incase this was a one off moment.. fingers crossed!

Stanley X.

Yelp
This place is a great lunch spot near work. I have tried their chicken shawarma wrap, plate and fattoush salad with added chicken shawarma. Everything tasted good. Very flavorful. It's great for takeout but not so much for dine in as there's not much seats. Would order again.

Veronica M.

Yelp
Food was so good and had a variety of options. Everything tasted fresh and the staff was very welcoming! I ordered the chicken shwarma with fries.

Artsiom K.

Yelp
I like food. It's not cheap. Quality is outstanding. Highly recommended. Convenient location. Always fresh.

Raul P.

Yelp
Solid falafel wrap, good kibbeh. Good tater fresh and the staff was welcoming and nice. Great for a quick lunch, they were fast and efficient. The decor is modern and bright, it's a good spot

Denise C.

Yelp
fish and chips pretty good with baklava and mango lassi--diverse and varied--visited a while ago

Bonnie H.

Yelp
Came by randomly to grab some lunch during the work week. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and was very impressed. It was probably one of the best chicken shawarma wraps I've ever had and they were very quick to complete my order.

Bela C.

Yelp
Has to be a to go order here (no seating), but the food was juicy and flavorful for a fair price. The location is nice for stopping by for a quick lunch during work.

Bashar K.

Yelp
I was in oasis grill as usual to order my shawarma but I was very disappointed the way the two guys behind the counter treated us very poorly and actually wasn't the first time their behavior was not acceptable but the lady tried to be nice with us and to cover their bad behavior I'm wondering if they doing that to all theirs customers and I believe the owner needs to teach them more customer service

Arun M.

Yelp
Rotten food. Quality had gone downhill. I got a chicken wrap and plate today. Chicken had rotten smell. Total waste of money.

Seliya G.

Yelp
Came here a couple times for work lunch. 1) Expensive! I got a lamb wrap and it was $20!! It was very normal sized and definitely just 1 meal. 2) Long lines during lunch. I'm guessing due to the lack of competition, this place is a popular lunch spot. It won't be quick. Despite beating the line, it took us a good 30-40min to get lunch (to go) 3) It is good but not $20 good IMHO. I get that inflation has hit hard but how about introducing some smaller portions for cheaper? I would not come here again unless coworkers insisted... though I'm guessing that's unlikely since we unanimously agreed it was not worth the price.

Drew A.

Yelp
Let's start by saying Oasis used to be my favorite place to get lunch in the area. Chicken shwarma wrap was fantastic, good ingredients and fresh. The last 3-4 times I've gone have been disappointing. Prices have nearly doubled since before the pandemic, which I understand. However, the portion size and quality have declined as well. Where I would usually be barely able to finish my lunch, today I was hungry following my meal. There are worse places to go in the area for sure but for almost a $20 wrap, I am certainly expecting more.

Monique J.

Yelp
The food is great reminds me of home I was looking for something similar to my own food and I found this to be perfect!

Midori G.

Yelp
Great place for a fast meal! I walked in to order lunch on a Tuesday. I got the veggie wrap. It was prepared quickly and was delicious! No complaints.

Bassel A.

Yelp
Great fresh mixed grill plate, just right juicy chicken , beef kabob and ground kufta. Fresh salad and hummus. friendly service

Ted W.

Yelp
The beef and lamb gyro is my favorite thing to get here. Another thing is the employees are always very friendly. Highly recommended!

Asal B.

Yelp
I got the beef/lamb gyro wrap with salad, cabbage and baklava. It was super filling and tasty. I will return.

Don C.

Yelp
I love the food here, and the manager is a great person. Last night I went in and got a Schwarma, and I selected no tip at the register. Somehow a tip was added anyway. Really bad business

Echosaisis A.

Yelp
The was spiced in a balanced and complete way, keeping flavored notes simple and true. My order came out in around 5 minutes. Inside store was clean, spacious and comfortable. I recommend eating here

Feras K.

Yelp
Great food, great location. Nice and quick, best middle eastern food in the area. Their deluxe falafel sandwich is to highly recommended.

Frank W.

Yelp
The guy who made our wraps was talkative and friendly. I got the spicy version of the Falafel Lavash Wrap, which wasn't too spicy. The size of the wrap was reasonable and it tasted good. I've had better, but I've definitely had a lot worse. 4 stars!

Karen T.

Yelp
This place is mediocre at best. I don't know why it has better ratings online, but for $15 dollars, the falafel wrap was sad. Two pieces of falafel, a ton of hummus, a pinch of diced small cucumber and that's it. There was no lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and only a sprinkle of tzatziki sauce, hardly to taste. NOT WORTH IT! I don't mind paying the price, IF the food is worth it, but it's not. Aside from that, the man behind the register seems irritated to be there, didn't say a word just insinuated to give him a card with his hand and seemed to be huffing and puffing at being there. If your staff don't want to be at work, why should anyone else want to be there. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Kylen M.

Yelp
I come here every so often when I forget my lunch at work, I've never tried anything that wasn't delicious. The Falafel wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, grilled chicken, all delicious. I'm not sure if that's the owner or manager or chef who's in there all the time, but he's super friendly and sometimes offers me an extra pita or a falafel ball. Highly recommend Oasis Grill - fast and friendly service and delicious food. I'll be back!

Lily S.

Yelp
Very welcoming owners serving fresh and authentic Mediterranean food. There are many options on the menu. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was so yummy and creamy with the sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Though I thought it was on the pricier side ($14) but understandably the rent must be very demanding for that area!

Fat ass g.

Yelp
Great Food here. Always add falafel to your order, they give you huge portions of cucumber yogurt sauce and hummus on the plates, the falafel cleans the plate nicely. Staff is super friendly, prompt and very accommodating. Tell everybody in the office to stop ordering Chipotle and get with the Oasis. By the way this is a local business.

Jaq D.

Yelp
We found this place for a group lunch and everyone was very happy with their selections. I didn't realize it was take out only (which was fine we took it back to the office) so plan for that. There was also a line but the wait wasn't too bad. The line is a testament to how good their food is! Seems like there are a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. Pros: food is excellent, hot and fresh. Comes out fairly quickly. I wasn't sure if I wanted spicy so they offered it a little spicy :). That spice level was perfect. Everything was very flavorful. A filling meal without that heavy feeling. Cons: prices aren't posted on the menus. The prices displayed are old and covered up. It was a bit expensive in my opinion but I'm from out of town so maybe these are normal. Summary: I would go back!

Elisha S.

Yelp
Oasis happens to be on the Conner across the street from my office.. I literally look out my window to see how busy it is before I walk down. This is my go to when I dnt bring my lunch.. The staff is nice and very welcoming.. I usually go for a wrap or a salad for lunch.. a chickens wrap( next time I'm trying to spicy sauce on my wrap.. the salad is also very good.. it's a big portion I could never finish it... it's so good.. I love a salad that's packed with toppings.. the Olives and hummus did something good to my spirit ... everything here is fresh .. they always have desserts available

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Best falafel wrap in town! The staff is so nice and always remembers regulars with a friendly greeting. Highly recommend. My go to for a quick bite to go. Delish!

Kathy N.

Yelp
I have no complaints. I've seen this place packed during lunch hour and decided to finally check it out around 1:50ish. There was no wait and it took only like 2 minutes to make my food. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma Wrap (Spicy) and thought it was pretty good and the proportion was pretty big. I paid about $16-17 something with tip included.

Aruna J.

Yelp
the server was very impatient, had attitude problems and was absolutely rude, way to disrespect and was cussing aswell which was very much caught by surprise but never have I been to a place where the staff cussed at you.......would never go back to this place and would recommend others to not either!!!

Cara H.

Yelp
WEBSITE ATTEMPTS FRAUD. I was ordering food online to pick up, and I responded yes to allow the business to send me alerts - the type you get when someone is having a sale. I thought it would alert me when the food was ready to be picked up. Later today, I got three alerts through my browser that my information had been stolen by Oasis Grill. The browser cannot know this - and that type of alert is initiated by the business, not by a browser. Most likely had I clicked on the alert, a scam would have attempted to extract more information from me. What is more, the restaurant didn't have my order in their system when I arrived to pick up. I explained what an inconvenience this was for me, and that I didn't have time to wait for them to make it, and had lost $30 as well, and the store operator simply dismissed me. He stared right through me, then at his hands as he worked at his cash register, pretending I was not there. He refused to apologize or to make up for the issue with his ordering system.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Authentic dishes and friendly service. Great spot to pick up a quick lunch. Love the gyros.

Martin S.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service for great food. We had the falafel and chicken shawarma and both were great but the pita bread was some of the best we have had. Great option for anyone staying at the Hyatt regency across the street.

Alex C.

Yelp
Woe on me for never having tried Oasis Grill sooner! Despite working right across the street from Oasis, I never had the desire to step inside to try them out. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) for me today, my Ritual order at a nearby dining establishment got canceled because they were out of the items that I ordered. While walking back to the office looking for places that were actually still open on Sunday, I saw that Oasis Grill was open, and had quite the large crowd of people gathered inside waiting. Since I was out of options, and I didn't want to waste more time looking for other places, I figured it would be a good time to finally try Oasis Grill out. When I entered, after I got past the throng of people standing around waiting for their orders, I approached the cashier who seemed more pre-occupied with her phone than taking my order. The person making the orders and handing them out noticed however, and yelled over to ask what he could get for me. As it turns out, I was suppose to approach him first to give my order, before going to pay. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma, which consisted of deliciously seasoned and grill chicken bits, mixed in with lettuce, tomatoes, and garlic sauce, all wrapped up in this giant foot long (I kid you not) shawarma. While I did not initially intend to eat the whole thing in one sitting, I did a working lunch and soon found myself staring down at an empty foil wrapper. Yup! It was that good. When I mentioned to my gf later in the evening that I ate at Oasis Grill for lunch, apparently she had not only heard of it, but also ate here before despite not working nearby. It's apparently so good that her coworkers will regularly trek the 15min walk just to come here. And despite there being a large crowd of people here, and the wait that entailed, they work really fast and efficiently here and are able to get through all the orders in a very reasonable amount of time. Considering the deliciousness of the food, the value that you get with each order, and how close it is to my office, I will definitely be making this one of my regular lunch haunts!
