The Best Restaurants in Denver | Eater Denver

"Part coffeehouse, part sandwich shop, part day-drinkers’ delight, this Sunnyside smash hit is above all more than the sum of its parts. Bangers like the Boujee (scrambled egg, whipped herbed feta, greens, muhammara, and za’atar on focaccia), the Dirty Denver (green chile–braised short rib, cheese curds, mayo, and salt-and-vinegar crispy onions on a hoagie roll), and the mixed bag of fries make fast regulars of first-timers, who return again and again to hang out on the patio over, tequila-spiked Gatorade or green chile-laced bloody marys. Here’s a slice of neighborhood life. (Make that two slices: There’s now a location in RiNo.)" - Ruth Tobias

The Best Happy Hours in Denver | Eater Denver

"There’s happy hour, and then there’s downright giddy hour. Right next door to Magna Kainan, this beloved sandwich shop’s RiNo location is already endearing itself to the neighborhood with the amusing specials it’s serving up from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. For just $12, for instance, the “Girl Dinner” comes with a choice of dino nuggets or a corn dog, pasta salad, tots, ranch dressing, and a mini-dessert, while “Mighty McCombos” include a burger or a fried chicken sandwich, tots, and a soda or Coors Light for the same price. As if that weren’t winning enough, all a la carte drinks — draft beers, well spirits, and cocktails alike — are just $5 a pour." - Ruth Tobias

The Best Breakfasts in Denver | Eater Denver

"This Sunnyside sandwich shop has become a citywide sensation for the love and energy it puts into the simple things — be it a BEC or a breakfast burrito — even as it concocts souped-up specials like chicken-fried steak on miso Texas toast with fries, a sunny egg. Liquid eye-openers extend beyond coffee drinks to spiked hot cider and green chile bloody marys. (Note that a second location just opened in RiNo.)" - Ruth Tobias

If you haven’t stopped in yet, you’re missing out! Offering a plethora of vegan and nonalcoholic beverages, you can bring every single one of your friends here. I am personally a sucker for their happy hour girl dinner! Plenty of free street parking nearby and in a quieter area. Staff is always friendly and makes you feel at home. See y’all soon!

Google
I got the chicken biscuits sandwich. It had a bit of sweetness to it that I really liked. It wasn’t dry but it wasn’t super juicy either. Overall a great sandwich. The prices were fair for the area and the service was great. Everyone was super friendly and there was a 90’s hip hop vibe to the place. The music was a bit loud but that’s just personal preference. They sell beers and cocktails that I’ll be going back to try next time. :)

Google
Cannot express enough how great the staff here was. It’s counter-service, quick, trendy. Lots of cool flavors and house-made sauces. Whatever the honey mustard concoction served with our mixed fries was the best. Regretted not getting the chopped cheese; I assumed the girl dinner had scratch nuggets and made the wrong move. Next time.

Google
Odie B's makes the sandwich a treasure worth journeying for. The Vegan Chicken Shawarma Sandwich with its fresh dill and crispy fries is a textural adventure you never want to come to an end so you keep going back for more. The vegan Odie Double Burger is comfort like a weighted blanket. The Mixed Bag of Fries is a playlist of your favorite tracks. No skips, even when you shuffle and shake it up. The chefs and staff are kind, knowledgeable, and kismet experience chasers too. Overall, eat at Odie B's for the magical moment that occurs when you bite into what can only be described as glory.

Google
New favorite spot in Denver! The food is incredible - you must get the banana bread. Such a fun vibe concept. But the service is even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Odie B's second location is just as great as their first! From breakfast to lunch to happy hour, you can find a sandwich and drink for everyone! I discovered the original Odie B's for their killer breakfast sandwiches. The Basic and The Boujee are both a great way to start the day! We came to this new location for lunch and tried their signature sandwich the Dirty Denver. Braised Beer and Fried Cheese curds on a sandwich is truly a great creation. The Chicken Shawarma with fries in the wrap was also a big hit. The pasta salad stole the show however with Salt & Vinegar chips and Everything seasoning on top. Washed it all down with a Tang & Gatorade cocktail called the Wutangerade?! I'll definitely be back to check out their great Happy Hour deals as well!

Google
Great stumbling by this place. Service was amazing. Kara was super attentive, the food and drinks were great! Definitely a must in Denver!

Google
I got the vegan basic - amazing!!! My husband got the vegan boujie- also amazing but very rich. This place has a fun vibe and the staff are great! Definitely coming back often!

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal service, food, and convo. I ordered the boujee, my companion ordered the chicken sammy. We got an order of house zucchini pickles and the chia pudding of the moment which has sweetened condensed coconut milk, strawberry, jam, and toasted coconut. I also had a mango mimosa and my companion had a cocktail. Music was poppin. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I inquired about the pickles and the chef came out and told me how they make them. He even printed it out for me before we left. The perfect start to our Denver adventure

Yelp
If you know me, you know my love for Odie.B's runs deep. Like, I've-lost-count-of-how-many-times-I've-been deep. While everything they have is fire, today's review is dedicated to a burger that absolutely deserves the spotlight: The Double OD Burger. Double smashed patties. A glorious combo of American and cheddar jack cheese. Tangy "dilly o's" (aka pickles), house-made fancy sauce, all stacked on a perfectly squishy potato brioche bun. It's saucy. It's crispy. It's cheesy. It's everything you want in a burger--and then some. This isn't one of those overbuilt, can't-fit-it-in-your-mouth burgers. It's compact, craveable, and hits every flavor note just right. Pro move: Add the mixed bag of fries (yes, both kinds!) and pair it with their horchata--sweet, creamy, and the perfect balance to all that savory goodness. Also, word on the street is they've added new items to the menu, which I'll be back for very soon. But if you're heading there for the first time, the burger is where you start. Go hungry. Leave happy. And maybe skip breakfast next time so you can fully go in.

Yelp
Updated as of 5/15/25 So, after some more thought, and thinking the food itself was delicious decided to come back and try another sandwich. This time I tried the shawarma and the mixed fries and a drink, and once again, it was delicious. I loved the mix of fries and the shawarma was super yummy. Definitely think that they are worth the price and the hype is warranted. Will be back again.

Yelp
Solid breakfast, brunch joint with a decent balance of sweet and savory options as well as though conducive for a boozy brunch. The vibe is cool feels like you're in nyc, came here on a recommendation from our buildings concierge. The burger was probably the best thing. The rest of the items including the vegan crispy sandwich, biscuit and chia pudding were all ok. I would say this place fell short of my expectations. The space is clean and there's interesting art on the walls in addition to the music selection.

Yelp
This was such a good experience. The music was a fun vibe. I love the esthetic of the place with art throughout the place. The people working here were very kind and helpful. I love all the options they have for people with different dietary needs. We enjoyed this amazing burger and pasta salad and drinks. I can't wait to come back again soon. The food was so delicious and plenty of it. Thanks Odie B's!

Yelp
We stopped here before our concert at Mission for Happy Hour - nice that it goes until 6PM! It's in a pretty quiet part of RiNo; the interior of the restaurant is I think meant to create a nostalgic atmosphere. My husband and I each got the Mighty McCombo, him getting the lil burgie and myself getting the lil clucker. The burgie was definitely better; the tots that came with each were perfectly fried and seasoned. In addition to the Coors that came with the combo, we each got a cocktail because hello - $5 cocktail?! I got the cold brew 'tini which was tasty, if a little sweet. He got the Bodak yellow - definitely didn't taste any cardamom but it was a smooth drinking cocktail. Prices were 5 star for happy hour. Would like to come back and try their Erryday menu.

Yelp
The food and service was incredible!!! I got the special and the chia pudding and both were phenomenal!! 10/10 recommend!!

Yelp
I wanted to like Odie B's after all the hype I read and yummy pictures I saw, but I thought it was only ok. I only tried 2 items, detailed below: Mixed bag of fries - I liked the fries and having a mix was fun, especially since it's so hard to get curly fries anywhere! The seasoning on these was good, disliked the fry sauce though as it was so sweet Double bodega burger - as a precursor I will admit I'm not a huge fan of smash burgers, however it's hard to find normal burgers in Denver for some reason. 2 patties is too meaty, I removed 1 to eat separately. The dilly onions and sauce were too sweet - I've found a lot of burgers in Denver are more sweet than savory for some reason I cannot understand. Buns are good though and patty was fine. I got this order to go, however the seating area looks nice and very clean and modern. I thought the employee handing off my bag was so sweet even though I only talked to her for about 30 seconds.

Yelp
Service was quick. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was good, very messy and wet. Order at the counter and then sit where you like

Yelp
Really cool to see such a large vegan menu in the Denver area! Gluten free buns here which is super amazing to see, and the gluten free bun was pretty good. Unfortunately my sandwich overall was just not very good. I'm a lover of breakfast sandwiches and this one didn't quite hit the spot, no sauce on a $14 sandwich was surprising to me, and it unfortunately made for a bland tasting vegan sandwich. The price was very surprising as well, I'm always willing to pay for a vegan item and expect it to be more. The prices were a bit high even for a Californian like me but I understand that the ingredient qualities are probably very high and it can be quite hard to source a full vegan menu. But the gluten free buns being $3 extra was quite outlandish. I don't think I've ever paid so much for a gluten free bun, and like I said I'm from California, prices can be crazy there. The gluten free bun was okay, if it were the best gluten free bun I've ever had I could excuse the $3 price, but it definitely wasn't the best gluten free bun I've ever had. I have been vegan for almost 10 years by choice and gluten free for almost 3 by necessity, so I have had lots of sandwiches to compare this to. And unfortunately for the price i just wouldn't come back for these particular sandwiches. $35 for two basic breakfast sandwiches (before tip) really started me off on a bad footing, and when the sandwich didn't make up for the price, I unfortunately left disappointed. Me and my boyfriend are both gluten free by necessity, and a $6 up charge for these sandwiches felt like quite a lot. Not sure I'd recommend for other gluten free people. I also was charged a 4% wellness fee? Not sure what that was about but maybe Colorado laws are different and if so I do understand that. The service was great here and the restaurant was beautiful.

Yelp
We were so excited to come to the opening weekend of the RiNo location! We are major fans of ODIE B's! The rino location is super airy, high ceilings and lots of natural light, and really cool graffiti/street art. Opening weekend had a limited (but lovely) menu! The Bougie is a must order. The focaccia bread is seasoned to perfection and is the freshest and softest bread in a long time! The chopped cheese is a n innovative take using breakfast sandwich ingredients plus shredded lettuce. Mind blown! Al always, the staff are super kind and the service always friendly! We look forward to being able to have the new location in our neighborhood for more frequent visits! Come visit and try the fabulous food!

Yelp
Food was really good and had a lot of flavor. The staff were super friendly and the place was very clean. Nice walkable place to go to if you live in the area. Only downfall I would say is we were there on a Sunday at 930am and the music was SO loud. It made it hard to have a conversation with the people at my table.

Yelp
Expensive, for one. Over $50 for a burger, falafel wrap, fries, 1 beer, and tip. Burger seemed overcooked, the fried also were overcooked and tasted as though they weren't fresh and had just been "re" fried to warm them up. The falafel wrap has weird pockets of extra spice/spicy and the beets provided a weird hard, bullet texture. Service was good and we did mention some things we didn't care for, which was appreciated they seemed to, at least listen to. But still, we live within a couple blocks and doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
This place is a 5min walk from Catbird hotel (Where we usually stay) so we were really happy to find a convenient place to grab breakfast. They have GF buns you can sub for most of the sandwiches. I got the Bougie (no pics). After trying the bun, which looks homemade, I looked at the lid of my takeout container again to confirm it was GF & it was! The GF bun was seriously INCREDIBLE! I will go back specifically for that. I forget the name of my husband's sandwich but it had a sunny side up egg in the center of the sub-like sandwich, it was beautiful & messy. The service was quick & friendly. We'll be back!

Yelp
Odie B's. You know it. You love it. The new location is super cool and still holds all the same soul of the Highlands location. The RiNo restaurant is not as central in the neighborhood as the other, though same exact menu as the Highlands location. And nice to have a bit of a walking path next to it after you have inevitably over-ordered. And I have never ordered a menu item that has missed.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Same stunning Odie B's, but better location for those close to downtown with longer hours and pickup on the weekends! Personally recommend The Hustler and Double OD Burger as both are euphoric.

Yelp
Food was crazy good, portions were big so be ready. We had the chicken Schwarma and dirty Denver to eat, both outstanding. Employees are very nice, two different ones had conversations with us. We are from out of town and weren't sure where to eat first, finding this place was awesome. Top quality food, price was very reasonable, staff super personable, and good portions.

Yelp
Great sandwich spot in Denver! The Dirty Denver (short rib) was 5 star. Environment is fun, staff was friendly & space was kept clean. Good spot!

Yelp
Went in to buy lunch for my coworkers since I work in the area. I went in and placed an order at the counter to go and I gave them a few dollars as a tip on the screen and the cashier commented on the fact that I should've tipped more which I found very disrespectful. I know tipping culture is surrounded by controversy but I don't think it's fair to comment on something like that and especially if I'm just ordering to go, don't know many places that ask for tip for takeout. To add insult to injury this was clearly offensive to them because I didn't get my order until everybody else waiting around me had already gotten their food. When I finally got back the burritos were good but I bit into a large piece of charcoal or something of the sort and chipped my molar, I understand mistakes happen but it all seemed intentional in my opinion.

Megan V.

Yelp
OMG the cliche clucker was AMAZING!! The service is great and the vibes are there. When i think RiNo this is it. I will be back soon.

Yelp
Super excited this place opened! Love their breakfast sandwiches and their hot sauce is legit amazing. If you haven't been here definitely check it out!

Rachel W.

Yelp
I love that Odie B's expanded here, everything I've had has been amazing. Last time I had the chicken biscuit which is so flavorful and delicious. You can't go wrong, though. So glad Odie B's exists!!
google avatar

Ricky B.

Yelp
Odie B's is my favorite breakfast in all of Denver. The staff is super friendly, service is great, and the food is soooo good. They have Vegan options for almost everything on the menu, so there's something for everyone. They have a playful atmosphere with good music vibes. A must hit in Denver!
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
We love Odie B's and I'm so excited about the new location. Vibe is on point and the food always hits and it's closer to my house. In my opinion...The hustler is the best way to start the day! Prove me wrong! Can't wait till they open the next restaurant, Boombots pasta shop in Northside!

Roger H.

Yelp
Shocked, but not in a good way. The hours are terrible, they are closed even when they say they aren't, when we finally got in the staff didn't make it an enjoyable experience. We gave them a chance several times, just don't waste your time

Chloe H.

Yelp
Friendly, clean, and most importantly delicious breakfast! We got 2 of the breakfast sandwiches and loved them both.
