This restaurant is amazing! The chicken and wood ear mushroom buns were soft and flavorful, and the spicy pepper chicken had just the right kick. The cabbage and tofu casserole was comforting and hearty, while the pickled cabbage with pork intestine was packed with bold, authentic flavors. Great food and a must-try spot

Stopped here for dinner on the drive home from the airport and it was SO good. The restaurant is clean and their food is bangin. I got the lotus root dry pot with rice and the scallion pancakes. My roomie got pork dumplings and chicken and fungus dry pot. He ate his too fast for me to photograph lol. I have never had sichuan peppercorns before. They make your mouth numb - má. That was weird but I was into it. We will definitely be back!

The food is great,except 辣子鸡 because is not the authentic dish I expected.

I recently visited Old Town Taste and was blown away by the exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly, setting the tone for top-notch service. Each member of the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in ensuring we had a wonderful meal. The quality of the food was truly outstanding. Every dish we tried—from the delicate appetizers to the richly flavored entrees—tasted fresh, well-balanced, and lovingly prepared. The flavors were authentic, and the variety on the menu was more than enough to suit a wide range of tastes. The portions were generous without feeling overwhelming, and the presentation made each plate feel special. Old Town Taste offers more than just a meal: it delivers an inviting atmosphere, high-quality cuisine, and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Five stars all the way!

They need more servers. Restaurant was half empty and we had to wait 30 min. Spicy fish and tofu Sichuan soup was good!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Valley! I’m so so glad I got to try this place out, they keep the place super clean and it’s pretty spacious. People here are so friendly, that made me feel so good even before trying the food. We had lotus root dry pot, spicy fried chicken, and egg fried rice. And OMG every single dish was the bomb. So so good. I was really surprised how their lotus root was crunchy and the sauce was perfectly savory. And the egg fried rice! It’s classic, simple, yet so flavorful. Spicy fried chicken was so good too. It’s their signature according to them, and now I know why. It’s super tender, perfectly marinated with flavorful sauce, and the portion was huge. In fact, all of their food had a huge portion, which I loved! Can’t wait to come back and try their other yummy dishes (:

This place has to be the best Chinese restaurant in Tempe! The atmosphere here is great and the food tastes incredible. The servers were really great and explained about all the dishes we had questions about. The food here feels so warm and feels like home cooking. I highly recommend the dry pot that has to be probably my favorite dish here.

We ordered take out and the orders were on time and correct. But this was the absolute worst orange chicken I have ever had. The sauce, which was served separately, had no orange taste whatsoever and tasted like ketchup but very salty. The chicken was super dry. The broccoli that came with it was the only good thing about the meal. They are also quite pricey. I will not be back and I cannot recommend.
