Olio Wood Fired Pizzeria GCM

Ordered 3 cheese pizza and was given margarita after returning the pizza I was told it was 3 cheese but my pizza only had mozzarella the photo on display for 3 cheese looked completely different. I was not offered a new pizza nor was I offered a refund they adamant it was 3 cheese, what do you think? Please comment below.

Pizza was okay not horrible the big thing that stood out was the piece of metal that was on my pizza it was like a sliver of a can or something I was about to eat it and my wife said hold up there's Metal on your pizza do not eat that I said Dang should I let them know no I said to myself I picked the metal out and I ate my pizza

I ordered a 3 cheese pizza and got a margarita... After ordering I saw other review with exactly the same problem. No replacement or anything was offered, only said this is the pizza and it consist of 3 different types of cheese. Attached a picture

After 21 days on the road and american food we really wanted something different. We looked for a pizzeria in the neighborhood of our hotel and decided to trust the good reviews and photos. The best pizza eaten in America, said by an italian. Also, the context of the market is fantastic.

STELLAR pizza! The kale salad is gorgeous! Pizza is always piping hot. Salad is always crisp. We get delivery from them and its never wrong, poor temperature/texture, or packaged badly. Even when a rogue delivery driver brought us a bag of empty boxes with all the food dropped to the bottom of the bag, they remade it with a sorry across the new boxes and the bag stapled shut because they tried to stop him before he left the restaurant and he didn't listen. They're GREAT. We love them. I recommend them to anyone. Check em out!

We were nearby for a convention so I came here for dinner. It was one of the few places still open after six on a weeknight. They were very busy so it took a while to get my food. I had the wild mushrooms and speck pizza. It was cheesy and had plenty of mushrooms but very little speck. It was also VERY bland and boring. I ended up covering it in red pepper flakes and Parmesan to help the flavor. Overall I was a bit disappointed.

I like this place and has good pizza but this disappointing me last Friday September 6. We placed two orders by accident. It was the same pizza and after that me and my friends were like OK that’s fine. We just eat both of them. One of our coworker went to go pick them up and when he got there, he told him they have two orders and they told him he only had one. My coworker didn’t bother to call us and when he came back, he told us he said they only had one even do we got charge twice I kept calling them but they never answer the phone

Order-Delivery by Grubhub Really happy with this new find. I was ordering some pizza and salad at CPK for a co-worker's farewell lunch. When I placed the CPK order, CPK cancelled because it appeared that they were too busy. So I quickly searched thru Grubhub for a replacement and found this place. And I checked it on yelp as well. Reviews were really good. So I ordered 3 of their "Margherita Plus Pizzas". Toppings on each were mushroom, basil and prosciouto or however you spell that. I also ordered a salad -- they only had a Kale salad. The delivery arrived in good time. And the food was great.

Originally I was not planning to eat pizza, but my friend failed to pick two places he had wanted to try so we ordered separately within Grand Central Market and I got pizza instead. Olio was originally started in 2014 by Chef Bradford Kent and had an ownership change in 2023 from Chef Bradford Kent to long time in-house Chef Michael Robles. [Parking]: The designated Grand Central Market parking structure is $5 flat rate for the 1st 90 minutes. Most of meals here shouldn't last more than 90 minutes. [Ordering]: Customers can either (1) order from phone with no app required by scanning the QR code or (2) order as the cashier counter. I ordered at the cashier counter and received a buzzer. [Menu]: It's nice that they have pictures for 9 different pizzas and honestly they all visually look pretty good. Classic pizza (Margherita, 3 Cheese, Pepperoni, and Marinara) is $11 each and specialty pizza (Margherita Plus Burrata, Spicy Sausage & Pepper, Chicken Meatball parmesan, Wild Mushroom & Speck, and Olio Hawaiian) is $13 each. *** Margherita Plus with Burrata (signature pizza since 2010 made with local fresh burrata cheese [creamy mozzarella], tomato sauce, fresh basil and basil infused extra virgin olive oil - $13.50): Overall pizza slices were slightly liquidy and felt like it was only 75% cooked. Basil tasted somewhat raw with a hint of bitterness. This pizza had the right ideas, but meh execution. Mediocre pizza. *** In hindsight Blaze Pizza has a similar execution and concept as Olio, but at least pizzas at Blaze have better and more consistent end results.

crowded on Sat night but line lives pretty quick. pizza was worth the wait. $11 fed two of us! tasted delicious the sauce was mmmmm and pizza crust so good. pizza cheese pull didn't disappoint. can't wait to come eat this again n again

This is one of my favorite pizza spots. Stupendously delicious and I always get the house salad to go along with my pizza. This is downtown in the grand central market, so ya know parking and such is annoying, but if you're down there for a day of shopping make a pit stop here and you won't be disappointed. Top notch pizza and salad.

At Grand Central Market and decided to try Olio Wood Fired Pizza. I wanted to give the o' pepperoni a try ($12). The cashier lady was nice and it took about 20 minutes for them to finish the pizza. First impression the pizza reminds me a bit of Pitfire Pizza at Pasadena. Nevertheless the Pepperoni Pizza was..... meh alright. No frills, pretty basic pizza I wished they added a bit more pepperonis evenly and the pizza to be a bit more warmer. I'm not really a crust guy so my review might not be fair but the crust here isn't too good. Overall: Decent pizza for the price just enough to get your fix. Although, if nearby, in my opinion Blaze Pizza would be my top choice for an individual pizza. I don't think I would be coming back to try the other styles or toppings.

Visiting family wanted to try a pineapple pie and was craving this without a doubt. Happily bought a pie, grabbed our little pager and went about our exploring way. Thought it was taking a while and grabbed a table to sit and wait longer. Mind you, it's near closing time now and not jam packed. Finally got fed up and went to see what's going on. Pizza was just sitting there and it was already cold and chewy, not crispy and melty. Pager never went off.Could have gotten a better pie at little Caesar's for half the cost. What a disappointment I try not to talk bad about a place but this one set me off internally. I will never buy from this place again. Quality Control is paramount and the lack of attention to detail here was jaw dropping. They have our money, you win. Never again though.

We were there over the weekend. We got the spicy sausage pizza and brussels sprouts. The pizza was okay and was spicy, but it did not seem to have any sauce on it. Imagine our surprise when we opened the brussels sprouts to find they have almonds on them! The menu did not state this. We are not allergic but have a family member who has a life-threatening nut allergy so we are hyper aware of restaurants disclosing ingredients. This is a huge fail. Three stars only because the food was tasty.

Pizza is good. This place is always Poppin'! Pizza does not compare to East Coast, but still exceptional. I go here often because it's down the street and the vibes at the Grand Central Market on point. Busier some hours than others but this food hall is busy everyday. Great place to hang out and get your grub on. I love the Olio Hawaiian and the Margarita best!

This was my 2nd time being at Olio. The service was fast and friendly! It's inside GCM. It's usually loud and crowded... especially during the lunch hour. Pizza was really good!

My first impression of this place is how rude the staff was. They laughed and said no to my friend when she asked if they would put red onions on only half the pizza. Then she told them to not put any, and it came out with red onions all over. The ingredients weren't spread out, just thrown all in the middle. And the crust was too burnt to eat. This was just a complete and utter mess of a meal.

TOP TIER PIZZA!!!!! This made my trip to grand central market memorable. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with added toppings of jalapeno and spicy sausage. Highly recommend this combination. Love how they don't skimp on toppings. The spicy sausage was so delicious. The crust was absolutely perfect. Nice crispy and browned. Light but not too light. Glad they have ranch, I just can't do without it. Although this pizza was so good that I could've even gone rachless, and that says a lot. I'd return here just for the pizza.

Wonderful pizza! Ordered the chicken Parmesan meatball pizza and it was divine! The dough is not thick like other pizzerias. It's wood fired to perfection and absolutely delicious!

Grand Central Market is a local food mecca with some great places, including some particular local standouts. The feel is super authentic old school Los Angeles, and service is generally good. I found Olio Pizzeria a bit more ordinary than expected, particularly with their more American-style (California-style?) medium-thick, kind of bready crust. Generous amount of cheese and the sausage wasn't bad, but not enough to push this out of the ordinary for me in the world of gourmet pizzas. I suspect if the crust had been executed differently I might have a different opinion...

The food includes very fresh ingredients. It took a while for them to service the pizza, but was well worth it. It's a very culturally diverse place to eat at, but cozy nonetheless.

Ordering was nice and easy-- took about 20 minutes to make. The pizza was overall pretty good for the price. Love coming to this hidden market with all of the food spots, it's got great ambiance and tons of seating!

For grand central market this is your best option. Cheap $11 pizza made in a wood fire oven? Love it. The size of the pizza itself is a reasonable personal size. The dough is super thin super chewy and fluffy. Not New York style but more like Neapolitan style. Pro tip if you're with friends or family who are getting food: while they are ordering their stuff somewhere else, place your order through your phone and it'll be ready by the time they get their food.

We got the Margherita with added spicy pork sausage. The herbs were very fragrant and the sausage was flavorful. I would've preferred the first to be crispier especially in the center. The middle of the pizza was very soft and the toppings would fall off. But other than that the pizza was a good small shareable size for small bites for a group.

The pizza was decent but very soft in the middle. It was hard to pick up as the toppings kept falling off. If they made the bottom more crispy, it wouldve bumped up another star.

Located inside grand central market, this personal pizza shop is a great place for a delicious bite! Not only are the prices beyond reasonable for the location but the flavors were incredible. The cheesy goodness flows from the pizza and directly into my mouth. As I work close to grand central market it's always a shame that I can't find an affordable lunch option that both tasted good and didn't break the bank. I love this place. It's my quick pepperoni pizza and Mexican coke place when I have to go into the office downtown. It's always hot and fresh. The cheese is real cheese, good quality and so is the pepperoni. The size is small enough for a light eater to take home and an average one to demolish it all in one sitting. They don't skimp on the sauce, cheese, or pepperoni. Also, the service is always polite and everyone is nice to the patrons. I have sat there and watched how the cashier interacts with everyone and she is always polite and happy to help. Even when folks leave a big mess, she just goes and cleans it up without attitude or negativity. The ambiance is loud since you are in Grand Central Market, but that's ok. It's a vibe:)

Best pizza in the city. The crust is chewy, savory, and everything you want from Italian pizza. It's hands down the best pizza in Los Angeles!

For $12 I can't complain. It's a personal size pizza. Got a margherita. Really liked the chew of the dough, very fluffy. Perfectly seasoned and the basil was very fragrant. Quick service also!

They're located in grand central market. We came with a group of friends and this was probably the best dish ordered out of all our food. The pizza was super good! They are busy though, so don't trust their time estimates. I ordered online and it took almost 20 minutes longer than they said it would. If you can, order before you get there.

Came to the market and saw these perfect sized personal pizzas. Got the margarita with some chicken meatballs on top. Pizza was great nice and crisp with good flavors. Liked the online ordering system here too. Will be coming back to try the Hawaiian.

Vegan Margarita pizza w mushrooms blew our minds. Crust, stellar, cheese and sauce on point. Fast, loved it. So cheap too.

Not my favorite style of pizza but it was a good price for the portion size. The cheese was cheesy enough and it was pleasant to eat the folded slices. Service was friendly.

For the price one of the cleanest and authentic pizzas I've had in LA. Found it when for the win was closed in GCM and was pleasantly surprised. We halved an olio Hawaiian and was not expecting the balance we got. Most of the time Hawaiian pizzas are either too sweet or too meaty and rich. This one hit that perfect ratio for us and the cheese pulls were on point. Everything came out fast and had the right consistency that we look for. Not sure if they do bigger pies but I'd try again.

I tried this pizza for the first time yesterday for lunch. I got the pepperoni pizza and it was good. I really liked the flavors of the pepperoni and the sauce. The cheese was pretty good and was the perfect amount not to much not to little. The bread or crust rather, was just ok I wasn't a huge fan of it. The service was pretty fast I was surprised by that. Overall I enjoyed the pizza and thought the price was fair for the quality and portions of food. I will return to try another pie again.

IMMACULATE PIZZA! Especially for a small spot in central!! Let me tell you, I hate a lot of sauce on pizza just because the sweetness of it pops through too much. But this place nailed the flavor' I was not bothered at all! Love it dawg I'll be back for sure! And thank u to the servers for helping us as quick as possible.

The pizza was good but nothing too special tbh. They have a decent price point but compared to the other stalls, I could pass this up next time.

I waited 45 minutes to get my pizza. They give you those disk that notify you about you food. When I told the cashier how long I waited. She asked me if I sat far, that it won't notify you if you are far. I told her I was sitting in their seating waiting, I was not far. She then tells me the food is ready. She goes to get the pizza and pushes some screen that says send and all of sudden the disk starts lighting up. She then goes to me and tells me that they don't make a sound, they just light up. But the disk was not lit up while I was waited. Now I'm stuck with a cold pizza.

Best, most delicious wood-fired oven pizza in L.A.!! I've been coming here for several years since they opened up in Grand Central Market DTLA. Their great customer service, high-quality fresh ingredients, and handmade wood-fired pizzas are to die for! All of their pizzas come in only one-size personal pizzas and are made to order, but soooooo worth the wait! The only downside to Olio's is the parking situation in the heart of DTLA--either paid parking structure attached to the marketplace building or circling around on one way streets looking for a metered street parking spot. But, if you're in the DTLA area and are looking for a darn good pizza, you gotta try Olio's!! Definitely a must!

I was in the Grand Central Market this weekend and picked up a pepperoni pizza from Olio. It was absolutely delicious! I am obsessed with finding good pizza spots and this was such a great discovery. The young woman at the counter was very friendly and the pizza came out in about 10 minutes. The market was super crowded, but I found a table outside and had a lovely lunch. Parking in the public lot across the street was convenient, but it cost $20 by the time I left after lunch. Next time I will grab the pizza to go.

With so many different cuisines to choose from at the Grand Central Market, we wanted to try the wood fired pizza at Olio GCM Pizzeria. We chose the Margarita Pizza with olives, crispy Prosciutto and Burrata. It had great flavor. The crust was crispy. Very cheesy. Makes for a perfect slice of pizza. It could have had more Prosciutto. You could barely see any on the pizza. The olives were finely chopped. I almost forgot there was olives on there. Overall, a fabulous pie.

Good tasty pizza. Fresh taste even though canned sauce. Plenty of pepperoni but not too many. Thin bread. Good tasty cheese

The Margarita plus burrata and Mushroom and Speck are probably the best pizzas I've had in LA so far! And we've dined at some great pizza places (Little Coyote, Antica, etc). I dragged my bf here after I've been raving about this place and it did not disappoint. The margarita's sauce is perfect and the mushrooms have so much flavor. The crust is perfectly thin. Don't pass this up!

Watered too saucy pizza and not good customer service. Girl that worked at cashier on April 27th around 7:30pm was refusing a refund after waiting for 40+ minutes. Buzzer didn't work and she said I was too far but I was waiting right there with my sisters who ordered 3 pizzas and their buzzers worked just fine. She accused me of being "too far" from the place.. like what?

First time here and it was the best!!! I ordered the regular pepperoni pizza and it was very delicious. You can add additional toppings for $1.50 I believe. The crust is thin so no need to worry about bad carbs... lol... eat up! I highly recommend it. Total price was about $10 or so. It has about 7 slices or so good for two hungry people. Try it out!

So I lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years and never thought I could find good pizza in the west coast. I also tried numerous pizzas in Italy which basically changed my pizza standards forever. Without getting fancy or pineappley (big no no), I got the classic MARGHERITA. Fresh tomato sauce which I can only guess it's made in house because it was very distinct and clean, beautiful mozzarella slices and fresh basil. Absolutely amazing. The dough was extraordinary, thin, slight chew and amazing wood fire char on the crust. **came two days in a row and day 2 I got to try the wild mushroom pizza which has no sauce. This was great too and the dough was definitely the star. I still prefer the margherita and highly recommend it as your first pizza** Definitely will come back for a good pizza fix.

Pizza with fresh jalapeños was pretty damn good! Service was above average and the pizza came out fairly quick!

What a great little spot in Grand Central Market! The pizza is delicious! Order at a counter, get a buzzer, take a seat or wander around until your order is ready. The pagers work through all of GCM. I had the Margherita Plus pizza (had burrata). Sooooo goooood! And fresh! I love the made-to-order and quality. Tastes so good! 2021: 41/100

We ventured a few of these spots in the area and had a good experience here. Can't say anything much about service since you just order and go but the food was good!! The crust was pretty crispy and doughy. You can see them making it which is nice so you can see it's fresh. The price is decent. The size of the pizza probably won't get a hungry person too full. I wish they had added more protein (chicken) in it but I wasn't mad. They put overall a LOT of the toppings which made the pizza taste super good!! I really enjoyed it!!

When you consider the quality and price, Olio's pizza is well worth stopping for in Grand Central Market! I ordered the Chicken Meatball Parmesan pizza ($11). Their Neapolitan-style pizza is perfectly crispy and chewy on the outside/crust while extremely soft and "flappy" in the middle where you have to support the bottom of the slice with your second hand or else you might lose some toppings. There's probably nowhere else that can get you this quality of pizza for the price. Absolutley blows my mind that they can keep such competitive pricing when you consider the GCM location and all of the other vendors on average costing more. Everytime I'm back at GCM, I will have to stop by Olio's. Do yourself a favor and avoid choice overload at GCM and at least pick-up 1 pizza here with your group as you decide to pick-up something else, but my guess is that you'll end up getting more than just 1 :)

First time drinking pizza. Think of having tomato soup on some bread. The dough was alright.

I love the pizza dough here. The crust is light and has a bit of chew. The spicy sausage and peppers was not too spicy even though they used fresh jalapeno. The buzzers don't have much range so don't walk too far looking for a table. The only issue is the open air seating. No AC in GCM so summer lunches are not always nice and winter can be cold.
