Olivia

"Named after Chef/owner Chris Ponte's daughter, it's only appropriate that the cooking at this bustling, Italian-inspired venue should set itself apart thanks to extra care. That characteristic attention to detail includes efforts, like extruding all pastas in house before slowly drying them—but it’s the sort of work that pays off for diners.Although the cuisine draws heavily on classic flavors, don't expect by-the-books renditions—even the simplest dishes flaunt a bit of personality. Take, for example, mini rigatoni sauced with ragù Bolognese and a dollop of herbed ricotta; it's a departure from tradition that is unlikely to draw any objections. The pizza offerings are similarly appealing, like one with truffle honey, smoky speck and scallion." - Michelin Inspector

Disappointing experience masked by good food. We were really looking forward to our night at Olivia — a group of 8 friends who gather every few months, and this time we chose the restaurant based on a strong recommendation. Things started off promising: a warm, friendly server with fantastic suggestions, and appetizers that arrived promptly by 9:00 after our 8:30 reservation. Unfortunately, the rest of the evening fell apart. We waited over an hour and a half for our entrees, and when we politely asked what was going on, our concerns were brushed off. First by the server, then by a manager, and finally by a senior manager — each one passing the buck with no real explanation or sense of ownership. By the time our food arrived, the energy at the table had shifted entirely. At the end of the meal, a beautiful dessert platter appeared — but with no explanation or acknowledgement of the situation. We assumed it was a peace offering for the delay, but without any words or genuine apology, it felt like an empty gesture. The manager should have come over and explained the gift and the situation that led to it. The food itself was excellent — credit to the chefs — but the service and leadership on the floor were the real letdown. Olivia has potential, but when things go wrong, the management team needs to step up with transparency, accountability, and empathy. Sadly, it’s hard to recommend this place in good faith. It almost seemed like the pretentiousness of we are so cool, so popular, and so busy your experience really doesn’t matter.

We came to Olivia to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had brunch there—everything was excellent. The atmosphere felt special without being over the top. Our server was phenomenal—attentive, warm, and really helped make the experience feel personal. The food was amazing too. Every dish came out fresh and flavorful. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for a relaxed but memorable brunch spot.

Thoroughly enjoyed brunch here yesterday. Came into at the end of service and our server, David, pulled some magic, and we were able to order a bit off brunch (don’t expect this to occur often). He was also very authentically himself, which is very appreciated as service can be very dry and cut & paste across the industry (hats off David). Food was phenomenal. Both brunch & dinner items ordered were packed with flavor & thoughtfulness. Olivia’s carries return value & we will be back!

This was my second visit at Olivia, the first visit was for brunch after a local run and we both loved it! This time however, completely blew me away. Not only is the food incredibly delicious - we ordered several apps and a pizza but our waitress, Katelyn was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. We kept seeing different items on plates coming by, we would ask what they were and she would immediately place the order for us, explain items very thoroughly and she did it all with a smile. I cannot say enough how happy my friends and I were when we left for the evening, it’s pretty cool when you have a business that has top notch food, but when the employees are the star of the show, I think that means just as much. Great job Katelyn, we seriously wish you could be our waitress at every restaurant we go to & when we come back to Olivia, we will definitely be asking for you!

Visited Olivia restaurant to celebrate a milestone event for a family invite. Our server was very friendly, courteous and helpful with our 8 member group. We enjoyed Truffles Fries, bunch of cocktails, pizza, scallops and chicken dishes. Stand out was the scallops & tiramisu cake. Of the side dishes risotto & mac-n-cheese could have been more flavorful. Overall a nice experience & good ambiance. Remember to reserve your table beforehand & arrive early to get parking.

Came here with my grandparents for a nice birthday dinner. Food was spectacular, our waitress was very friendly, and they even brought out a birthday cannoli (without singing, thank god)! The dining area was clean, modern, and spacious. Definitely will be back. Huge thank you to the chef and hardworking staff.

Google
Food and service are the reasons you need to add this restaurant to your weekend date night! Let me start by saying all of the food we sampled at OLIVIA was amazing! Not only did the food taste fresh and warm, but it was also an experience within itself. Hats off to the cooking staff. Speaking of staff, we frequent restaurants weekly, and our waitress was probably the best we have ever had, period. Katelyn was not only friendly, knowledgeable, and nice she was full of personality! She made us feel right at home! We would come back again just to have her as our waitress again! Overall A+ experience and would highly recommend adding this to your list of places to try!

I had an amazing time at Olivia, we celebrated my parents anniversary and they greeted them with a glass of Prosecco and a note on the table. Great touch. The food was good but my pasta came out cold. I tried to flag down my waiter but she didn’t come back to check on us for maybe 20 min. By then I was hungry and just decided to eat it. Other than that, I would recommend!

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, and a chill vibe--definitely worth coming back again. Yummy!

Yelp
Everything here was an absolute banger!! The short rib and truffle raviolis were absolutely to die for. I can't even explain how incredible the flavor was. I'm still thinking about it days later. The yellowtail also had such a complex and fresh blend of flavors that we ordered two rounds of it for the table. Our only complaint is that we did have a reservation and we were seated about 30 mins late because the party before us was still there (after being there for more than 3 hours). I'm not sure why management declined to politely ask them to finish, as most other establishments would. We were there for a bachelorette party so it did throw off our itinerary a bit. They did kindly provide a complimentary round of champagne for the inconvenience. Large, open space with romantic lighting.

Yelp
The atmosphere is beautiful and they have a lot of options but I've been here twice and both experiences were very different. Both times I went to celebrate a friend's anniversary. They don't do much except give a congratulations card. Meh. The first time I cam the garlic bread was delicious and the Isabella drink was too. The second time the bread was super oily and the Isabella drink wasn't very tasty. It's concerning when the food is different, not sure if there was a change in the chef or recipe. Worse thing is parking is a pain, coming in and out. You're almost forced to do valet. Not sure if I would come a third time.

Yelp
I visited Olivia to celebrate my dad's birthday and really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We tried the red sangria and the Apulia cocktail, both were very good. As an appetizer, I had the burrata, which was tasty and the pesto was amazing.I asked for garlic bread with it, and it was delicious. For the main dishes, we had the tortiglioni alla vodka, the funghi pizza, and the lasagna all were delicious, especially the lasagna wow! The only dish we didn't like was the mushroom risotto It had no flavor and just tasted like lemon. The service was wonderful and the place is beautiful. At the end they surprised us with a cannoli so we could sing happy birthday to my dad. We had a great time!

Yelp
First off, five stars for Camila for making our experience! I had made a reservation in advance to come and celebrate our son's birthday after we visited the aquarium. Anyhow, I specifically asked that the highchair be available at the table when we got there. It was a complete downpour when we got in there and three of the hostesses in the front were just standing there talking with one another and I was managing my toddler in one hand with a huge umbrella trying to get through one door. That was the first negative for me! Anyhow, we got in there, and our other friends were waiting there at the table which was seated opposite right in the front of the hostess stand, and there was no highchair there or no room for a stroller. After I went back outside and got my second child, we asked to move to another table. We were moved over by the wine wall. That was a much better area if you have a stroller and easier for us to maneuver with the kids. Zach was there in the interim while we were waiting for Camila to come in. We ordered some appetizers and we were able to get that in so that we could get some food for the kids. We ordered the garlic bread, the truffle fries, burrata, as well as the brussels sprouts. I thought the brussels sprouts and the garlic bread were the best things of the appetizers that we had. For dinner, a friend and myself ordered the chicken Milanese, which I thought was OK, it was very dry and there was no flavor to it. My husband got the fish and he said it was good and our friend got the Cacio E Pepe and she said it was good as well. Our drinks were good and Camilla gave great suggestions. She was very sweet gave good conversation and catered to our kids. She even asked the chef if we could have gnocchi as a dish because they did not have it on the menu. The kids love gnocchi and I was surprised it wasn't a stand alone dish, but it was very plain. She brought out a little cannoli for my son to sing happy birthday, and she was very sweet. We ordered the apple torte, which I didn't think was as phenomenal as some people say. I thought the walnuts were the best part to be honest with you. Although this is a cute restaurant and has really good reviews, it just missed the mark for me, but Camilla was awesome. So if you go, ask for her.

Yelp
Olivia is a lively hot spot with an eclectic patronage and hip, upscale vibe. We booked a birthday dinner for five on Friday night. The space is a bit lively but we were seated at a back table next to the immaculate wine room that allowed for a comfortable noise level and great conversation. The staff was extremely attentive..offering great menu insights and checking on our party regularly. My biggest menu dilemma was the vast and exquisite wine selections ..how does one choose between a Piedmonte Nebbiolo, an Abruzzo Montepulciano and a sexy Sangiovese Chiante? I endured (the No Name Nebbiolo it was) The meal was replete with winning appetizers, entrees and desserts and none disappointed!!! The table was thrilled with the Burrata and Goat Cheese Sformato appetizers and my personal entree selection of the Lemon Fettuccine with buttery Maine lobster hit every flavor note in a symphony of good eats. We also indulged in the Afogato, Apple Torta and Flourless Chocolate Cake which all demonstrated brilliant moments of standalone dessert expertise. Overall, Olivia is a Tampa do not miss ..the food, service and atmosphere all hit the mark at this Michelin 2025 rated gem...if you are HERE..make it THERE, and you will be not be disappointed!!!

Yelp
This is not a spontaneous kind of place, you must make reservations prior in order for you to dine in. We were able to snag a table later on in the night and I'm so glad we waited. From the beginning of the experience to the end, from the ambiance to the service, incredible. Cierra through it out of the park with her attentive and knowledge. Im so glad I went with the scallops. It's very hard to cook scallop well but this was it. The crispy prosciutto made the plate complete. My husband wanted to try the veal Parmesan but it's a seller. Last dish was sold before we can order! It looks amazing. We went with the rigatoni instead; the meatballs addition was a good choice. We had a great night, 10/10! I haven't felt this way with a place in a long time.

Yelp
I've dined at some standout places, but Olivia is a whole experience. This family-owned gem blends elegant flavor with genuine hospitality in a way that left me both full and deeply appreciated. I came in to celebrate a personal milestone, being accepted into the Public Administration & Policy PhD program, and the entire team made it unforgettable. Our server, David, was outstanding: intuitive, kind, and full of personality. When I shared my news, after his inquiry, he high-fived me across the table (a moment I'll never forget!). Not long after, the manager came out with champagne flutes and ....They even presented me with a congratulatory card. That level of attentiveness and care? Rare and soooooo appreciated. Now let's talk food: -The Brussels sprouts appetizer? Crispy, bold, and beautifully balanced with salty and savory notes. * My scallop & lobster fettuccine pasta was fresh and rich...as someone who loves to cook/bake, the use of lemon and cherry tomatoes didn't overpower the seafood... very complimentary. * Pleased believe me when I say: the apple butter cake with vanilla bean gelato deserves its own review.... moist, decadent, and topped with a perfect, creamy scoop I could taste the real vanilla bean in.... Tasty! It's rare to walk into a restaurant and leave feeling like you've been celebrated. That's what Olivia gave me: thoughtful service, memorable food, and a reminder that kindness still lives in this industry. A true five-star experience. I'll absolutely return...and I'll be recommending this spot to anyone looking for a place to mark life's special moments. Thank you for celebrating me!

Yelp
We got a reservation and were seated shortly after arriving. The wait staff were super nice, but I'm unsure if three hostess is necessary for the front. The dining space is pretty tight in the sense that the seating area felt very cramped. The food was good, we ordered two drinks, two apps, and two entrees. Pictures were taken, conversations were made, but I'm not sure if this space is right for more close conversations. It seemed as if to get a conversation across, raised voices were needed. Then again, my image of a sit down dining space does include ample spacing between parties and walkable pathways throughout the restaurant. See the pics for the food!

Yelp
Our dinner at Olivia was quite possibly one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time! We were so lucky to have Daniel as our server, and we instantly felt like we were all best friends. He made great wine recommendations, and was very conscious of the gluten free options on the menu. For food, my friend and I shared the bruschetta, arugula salad, fungi pizza, and the tortiglioni (spicy vodka sauce). For everything being celiac friendly, it was all so amazing! The espresso martini was also to die for, so foamy and rich in flavor. Our server even brought out a bowl of sorbet for a birthday dessert. Valet parking was available. Make a reservation! The staff at Olivia will take great care of you. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
This was my first time dining at Olivia and I wish I lived in Tampa so I could go back more often! The restaurant is lovely and there was a great crowd when I went this weekend for a graduation dinner. The service was what made the meal. Our server was extremely kind and felt more like a friend by the end of the meal. He was also very patient and knowledgeable with our requests, which is refreshing not to feel like a burden nowadays. My dish recommendation would be the scallops, so delicious and perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Nicely decorated popular spot in Tampa. Hostess attentive and courteous even with a very long wait line. Server was fantastic! He was attentive and informative. Every item tasted fresh and was packed with flavor. Would recommend to make this place a visit and dine.

Yelp
We dined for lunch on Saturday afternoon. I Love the fresh and bright ambiance! The Food was so delicious! I loved how each dish was elevated and they had a different take on the Italian dishes! Chicken Milanese was so good with the arugula salad that balanced the whole dish out. It was lemony and creamy. The arancini balls were so creamy and cheesy with a delicious sauce. The drinks were also delicious. I saw the chefs making hand made dough and pasta. I can't wait to come back for dinner.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend had a date night here on Friday. The environment was very loud and busy but as expected for the weekend. It was our first time so our server was very helpful describing the menu. I had a dirty martini for my drink and the mini rigatoni as my meal. The pasta was a little more al dente than I prefer but knowing that it is fresh made up for it. My boyfriend had the Tortiglioni which was similar to a vodka pasta and he added shrimp. We had liquid dessert...aka an espresso martini which was delish. Parking was hard to find as the parking lot is very small but they do offer valet. Would recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Food was goood. I have been for breakfast and did not like the menu but the dinner menu was delicious.

Yelp
All of our experiences at Olivia have been exceptional. On our most recent visit, we started with caramel coffee and four cheese arancini. These were the best arancini--light and crisp on the outside, super cheesy in the outside, with a cheesy fondue and scallions on the plate. For the main course, I ordered the scallops with peppers and lemon risotto. The flavorful scallops were cooked perfectly. My husband had the short rib agnolotti and those were flavorful as well. We ended the meal perfectly with waffle bomboloni and apple torta. The waffle tasted like doughnut dough put into a waffle maker--yum! They were not too sweet and went really well with the chocolate dip. I thought the caramel sauce was a little too sweet. The Apple torta was a cake version of apple pie--warm and delicious served with vanilla ice cream.

Yelp
Another perfect Ponte place! I worry, however, that too many Ponte places will bring everything down....they are opening another OLIVIA! This specific location has been a series of mediocre (at best) attempts at trendy and not so trendy spots and each has failed. I have held off on coming here because of that. But that was just my loss. This experience was fantastic and what a treat, from start to finish. Our server, Cierra, was so great. She was smiley, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable - we asked a LOT of questions - and she was happy to help....and she knew all the answers! We learned later in the evening that that was her first night on her own. WHAT!?! She will be incredible - she already was. So, onto the wine, the food, the everything.... I had a glass (or 2) of Bonanza cabernet. It was smooth and lovely. I ordered the yellowtail appetizer, presentation was beautiful, taste was top notch! I ordered the lemon fettuccine and it had lobster claw in it! The sauce was great and not too heavy. Others around the table had the lasagna, which looked like a cinnamon bun (she described it that way too) filled with all the meat and cheese and goodies.... Also, the Osso Bucco.. and then a simple rigatoni and a side of Brussel sprouts. WOW those were fantastic! Not your run of the mill Brussel sprouts! For dessert, we got the suggested apple butter tart, WOW it was yumm-O! WHAT a fun place, it packs up and fast! Make a reservation, for sure. Also, parking is terrible! The lot is really small! And they don't need valet - in fact - it takes up a ton of parking spots! The wait to leave your car and to retrieve your car is wasteful. It's not needed!! And an unneeded/unwanted extra expense. Silly. But if you can find a spot, it's first come, first serve. Bad move. Other than that, the place impressed me.
google avatar

Alyssa E.

Yelp
The service was friendly and our waiter was especially kind. Most of us ordered the mini rigatoni--it was a delicious and worth the hype. One person at our table tried the lemon fettuccine, which was light, creamy, and complemented by the lobster. The bruschetta made for a good starter, I wish there had been more of it! While we didn't have wine, the cocktails were flavorful and paired nicely with our meals. For anyone unsure about wine selections, the restaurant offers a neat tablet that suggests pairings based on your preferences. Overall, it was the perfect spot for a night out with friends.

Yelp
This spot exceeded my expectations. Met a friend here for dinner on a Friday night around 8pm. We weren't able to get a reservation around that time so we ended up grabbing seats at the bar. The bartenders were great especially with how busy the restaurant was. I love that they have a "Zero Proof" section on the drink menu. I tried the Cucumber Fresca which was good. The menu had so many options I wanted to try. I ended up going with the Arancini to start and the Mini Rigatoni for my meal. Both items were good portions and I finished all of it. The Rigatoni was so yummy. For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake. I definitely recommend a reservation if you have a bigger group. They have a small parking lot but the Valet is complimentary.

Yelp
I wish I would've spoken with a manager- but I'm honestly exhausted of poor dining experiences. I worked at Ulele for years so I have a lot of empathy for servers and restaurants- but this was a wildly dissapointing experience. -we showed up 30 minutes early to our reservation - excited to grab a drink. The bar was slammed- no room to sit (totally expected - it was 7pm). We went to wait for a few minutes but there was literally nowhere to stand inside- probably 15 people squished at the front door. Have you ever been to a First Watch Cafe on a Sunday morning around 11am and had to wait in their crowded little lobby before seeing the host? Imagine that vibe- immediate turn off from what should've been a high scale experience. Drinks & appetizer were delicious- we ordered the yellow tail. A little pricy but again- we came for an experience! We will happily pay for a nice night. Then we orders our entrees- my fiancé has a dairy allergy ( I called the restaurant earlier on the day confirming they had dairy free options. I spoke with David? Daniel? And they were amazing- assuring me they had lots of options. I realize this is an Italian spot- so asking for dairy free options felt silly- but I was 1000% prepared to be told no- we cannot accommodate- and we would've gone elsewhere. My fiancé ordered the filet mignon, and asked if substitutions could be made to make it dairy free. My fiancé literally said "any side works as long as there's no dairy!" The server assured us the dish would be virtually the same- just no mouse or puff ball garnish- so we decided on that. 25 minutes later our entree drops. Mine was a little cold but mostly fine- I could tell it sat in the window (again- it's okay! They were so busy! But the experience was so bad- the little details added up). My fiancé is given just the filet and micro greens. It was never mentioned the risotto couldn't be prepared without dairy. The server came back by and we basically said hey- we were expecting an entree- not just a filet. Any way we can get a subbed side for the risotto? He said certainly- and my fiancé settled on fries. 15 minute go by, the fries finally drop- which we were charged for. Lol. Leaving the restaurant was insane- now probably 30 people slammed at the entrance- no where for folks to sit- just weird. This place has great potential- it really came down to service, poor communication and the lack of room in the restaurant. Crazy crowded. And for context we are a young, hip couple! I'm 29 and felt compelled enough to write this review! 170$ later- we felt like time and money were wasted. I made this reservation months ago as my birthday celebration, and we're so let down. The food is good- but if you have any allergies, restrictions ect I'd be cautious :(

Yelp
First, our server was incredible. She was super attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu. She's actually who recommended the off-menu lasagna that we got, which was absolutely filling, shareable and delicious. we had a fairly large group and we were trying to eat tapas style and the servers were constantly resetting the table. The food was all very tasty and every dish was complex. The prices feel fair for the quality of what you're getting. This place definitely has me curious to come back to try other wines as well as other dishes. my favorite dish from this meal was the off-menu lasagna, and surprisingly, the goat cheese with bread because I'm not typically a fan of goat cheese, but this one was so flavorful with the mix of olives, garlic, and tomatoes. I would order the goat cheese dish again, easily.

Yelp
Olivia is a modern Italian eatery with a bustling vibe to it. The atmosphere is very much alive and it is loud. I enjoy going here and have been here 8 to 10 times since they've opened . I just realized I had never written a review. There is so much to like. I always like to begin with the Crudo and the strawberry salad and many times have made that my meal. The scallops are delicious as is the scratch Bolognese sauce. Service is typically spot on.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They know what they're doing! Food is always amazing, we've been going here for a long time now and recently went for our anniversary. The staff made it special and we really enjoyed that they put a little extra effort into our big day. We love the crudo (we usually get two orders of it). This time they had a Caesar salad special which they usually do not have (but they need to have it all the time because I'm still dreaming about it). Everything is seasoned well and amazing for dinner. Ambiance is elegant and casual chic. You know you'll get a great espresso martini here!

Yelp
Food, service, and ambience are always on point at this restaurant. Every time I go. It's pricey, but so worth it for special occasions and for an elevated brunch experience in downtown Tampa. I plan to return again soon!

Yelp
When I moved to Tampa a few months ago, I asked for dinner recommendations. I heard Olivia at least 10 times from multiple people. I came in with my neighbor this past Saturday. The restaurant was lovely, and the ambiance was nice. However, no self-parking was available when I arrived, so I had to valet. The valet was free, but I recommend bringing cash to tip the valet staff. On Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is until 3 PM. During this visit, we ordered margarita pizza and Milanese chicken, both of which were delicious. On this visit, we chose to sit at the bar. The service was excellent, and the bartender was friendly. All of the staff were nice. Even when the servers were passing out the different dishes, my friend asked each server what each dish was, and they were happy to tell us. I will be returning.

Yelp
For the past three years, it's been our tradition to visit Olivia the weekend before Christmas, and this year was no exception--even after moving 1.5 hours away. We got a hotel room just so we could keep this tradition alive, and it was absolutely worth it! Olivia is consistently delicious and never fails to exceed our expectations. I started with my favorite drink, the old fashioned, which was perfectly crafted as always. For dinner, I had the lemon fettuccine with gluten-free pasta and gluten-free garlic bread. Having recently discovered a gluten intolerance, I was thrilled by the variety of options available. The Brussels sprouts were also a standout--rich, tender, and hands-down the best I've ever had. We specifically requested Rory as our server, having had so many positive experiences with him in the past, and once again, he delivered superior service with a touch of humor that made the evening even more special. Olivia continues to be worth the trip, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
My partner and I went here for a nice dinner. The decor, atmosphere, and service were great! Our waitress did not rush us and was very attentive. For an appetizer we ordered the goat cheese sformato. This dish is a good shareable dish and you get bread with it. The bread was good and it was nice to spread the goat cheese on the bread. For an entree I ordered the soppressata pizza and the Tuscan kale salad. The pizza was a nice size and tasty. I would have added more sauce and more pieces of soppressata to the pizza. I loved the Tuscan Kale salad. I thought the flavors were great and the portion size was perfect. I did have leftovers because I was a bit too ambitious with the pizza and the salad for the main meal. My partner got the squid ink casarecce. It was good and the pasta was great and flavorful. He would order it again. For dessert we got the seasonal gelato which was banana caramel. The portion was big and the flavors were great. It tasted more like and ice cream than a gelato but over all I enjoyed it! We will be back!! My only critique will be Olivia needs to figure out if they will have a tap for beer or just sell cans. I have visited Olivia twice during brunch and dinner. When I went for dinner I was told they were out of my first choice of beer Peroni. I got a local beer and they said it was in a can. The beer came out in a short cocktail or short water glass and not a beer glass. When I went for brunch at Olivia I ordered a beer and again they were out of Peroni. Then our waiter said the tap is broken and they need a part to fix it so everything in is cans. This time I ordered a beer and it was in a beer glass. The two times I visited were a few weeks apart so there is something going on concerning beer service. Olivia needs to be in stock off all beer offerings at all times and figure out if they are can only or only tap for beer. For a high end restaurant you would think this would be figured out. Small detail but it adds to the experience.

Yelp
Our go-to spot for a cute brunch with good food! We tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries which was delicious. The chicken was very crispy, and the tanginess of the slaw and pickle paired really well with the sweetness of the honey and sesame roll. The truffle fries were fried well with plenty of truffle. We also tried the Honey & Ham Pizza, which was sweet and salty, and overall amazing. I added a bit of pepper flakes and the spice added so well to the honey on the pizza. The dough was also very fluffy and crispy. The service was also great, with the servers taking the time to answer our questions and checking in on us from time to time. I have also heard their dinner is amazing, so we will definitely have to come here another time for that.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The ambiance, is sleek and nice inside. It has an industrial/restoration hardware vibe. It's almost always busy and I will say it does get very loud in there due to the high ceilings. For drinks they have a great wine list but I've ordered dirty martinis there both trips and they were perfect. Highly recommend. You also have the choice of blue cheese olives or regular. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the cichetti tower both times and it was exceptional. I also tried the oysters which were very good. The first time I went we had the cacio e Pepe and the Italian sausage and pesto pizza. They were both so so good. I cannot say enough good things. I was prepared to order the same thing on my second visit but my guest convinced me to try the mini rigatoni and the funghi pizza. The pizza was good although I preferred the sausage and pesto one. But oh. My. Gosh. The mini rigatoni was to die for and if I could eat it every single day I would. This place is great for a nice dinner and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Amazing food and good service. Definitely make reservations as it gets busy very quickly. The gluten free noodles are some of the best I've had, they are house made and the ricotta on top was so good. The lasagna was huge and definitely shareable. The garlic bread is a must as an appetizer, so much garlic and Parmesan. Will definitely go back to try more!

Yelp
Olivia is always a vibe! We came at 5pm and we were able to self park which was nice! David was the most attentive server we ever had! All of the food was amazing!!

Yelp
Had an amazing late lunch/early dinner here, if I could give more stars I would! Everything was so good but the mini rigatoni and chocolate cake were must-haves for me. Our server was fast, friendly, and attentive during our whole meal. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. This is the perfect place for a nice meal with friends or date night!

Yelp
Ohhhhh myyyy gooodness! Olivia was delicious! If you order 2 things, let them be the garlic bread and Agnolotti pasta! So flavorful, savoury and fresh! Our server was so delightful and informed of the menu. She made excellent recommendations and was so attentive to our needs. The desserts were delicious and we had the best time. This is the perfect date spot for a variety of ages and I'm sure would be a lovely spot for brunch as well. The high ceilings give the feel of luxury and the furniture is the perfect aesthetic of luxury/modern. Not too fancy but still an elevated experience. I was so impressed with our meal and the service, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
This was our first time, and it was great. The freshness and taste of the food were awesome. We sat at the bar because the restaurant was fully booked. As we looked around to see all the food items coming out, they all looked great. The apps and the two main dishes were perfect. Enjoy the pictures!

Yelp
We had a great experience at Olivia on Saturday night! They have complimentary valet when the lot gets full which is nice based on the location (tips encouraged, ofc). We had a reservation and they got us sat promptly after our whole party arrived. The service was great and the food was even better. The restaurant itself creates an elegant upscale casual vibe perfect for a fun double date/birthday dinner! Captions give you the menus details about each dish pictured, but I cannot overstate how amazing the espresso martini was I also had the Chicken Milanese and it was phenomenal, but you can't go wrong with chicken and goat cheese! The bill includes a 15% service charge, our server shared the breakdown of the service charge which I liked because I always appreciate transparency Overall, I highly recommend Olivia and would encourage making a reservation ahead of time just in case!

Yelp
This is a visually pleasing place for a decent Italian meal. We had the kids, and we wanted to go to a nice meal, and we had to eat a very early meal. Olivia was able to meet our needs. They had early reservations, aand they make their own pasta! I was seated quickly after checking in, and the waiter introduced himself within minutes. They have physical menus, but the fancy wine list is on a tablet. I was surprised to see that despite the early 5:15pm dinner time, the place was packed. The setting is very pretty, although the design resulted in a very loud eating room. Service was attentive and not quite as overwhelmed as other restaurants, but an extra server or two would have made a difference. We ordered a bottle of Heitz, the charcuterie, the fritto misto for the table. I had the squid ink casarecce. My husband had the lemon fettucine. My daughter had the pasta alla vodka. My son had the agnolotti. The food came out at a decent cadence. Maybe a little slower than other reviewers described. We definitely took close to two hours for our meal, which wasn't bad per se, but don't come here for a fast meal. I thought the food was good, not great. The fritto misto was fine but a smidge soggy. The charcuterie was no better than any other charcuterie plate in town. The pasta was good but nothing stunning (my pasta was a bit dry, probably should have boiled for another 30 seconds). That being said, I thought the price point was very reasonable, so the food received was good value for the money paid. I've been to Ponte, and that's a much better special occasion restaurant. Olivia is more of a "normal" restaurant, more visually upscale than Viva Napoli or Caffe Paradiso (and with valet parking a better wine list), but similar level of Italian dining based on menu and price.

Yelp
We tried Olivia as it is a Tampa staple and recommended by multiple friends. Their wine selection and drinks are very good, especially the espresso martini. Italian in Florida is difficult (especially since I am from New Jersey). That being said, their pasta dishes are OK. Given the prices, I'm not sure this will become a regular of ours but we enjoyed our night out at Olivia.

Yelp
Showed up, and got seated fairly quickly. My big warning, the plates seem small in portions, but fill you up ten-fold. I got the Agnolotti, this pasta was perfect for almost anyone. Smooth sauce, and tender juicy meat. The atmosphere is not too loud, but is a great place for chitchat. Would come here again.

Yelp
First, let me start by saying we are food and customer service snobs. I can cook and cook very well...so when we pay big money for an outing we expect great experiences. And that is EXACTLY what we got at Olivia. The location is perfect; right on the corner to stand alone and dominate the surroundings, not next to a nail salon for a $1,000.00 meal!! Then the seating and introduction with our free champagne and sign for our anniversary was superb. Our waiter was attentive and so so knowledgeable. Then alas, the food. I cannot tell you how delicious and how fantastic the food was. My groom had Squid Ink pasta and I had Short Ribs. You can't go wrong with either one. The Arancini was top notch as well. I can't wait to go back. Small details make the meal so much more pleasant and they know what they're doing. Thank you, Olivia staff and chefs for making our anniversary of 37 years one for our memories book!!!

Yelp
We went for my husband's birthday. We were seated right at our reservation time and promptly greeted by our amazing server, Enzo. The restaurant was very busy, but our drink order was filled quickly, we enjoyed the appetizer tower and great entrees. We had tiramisu and cannolis for dessert. The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional. Do make reservations ahead of time.

Yelp
I LOVE Olivia - that's why I was so excited to book my birthday dinner there. there were aspects of the night that were great, and some that fell flat. first, the good - there was a birthday card on the table when I arrived, drinks were delicious, the coccholi frito is one of my all time favorite dishes, and the vibes were high. unfortunately, despite having two servers assigned to our table, the service was subpar. we waited around multiple times for drinks, water refills, etc. and had to ask multiple times to be helped. at one point we even had to ask another server to help find ours. also, my partner is vegetarian and our server was not very knowledgeable on what modifications could be made to the dishes, which left her with a bland, unimpressive meal. pretty disappointing for a special night out, but I still enjoy dining here and would give it another try - hoping it was just a bad night for service!

Yelp
I have visited Tampa once annually for the past six years and this was my second time visiting Olivia (two years in a row)! The second time was even better than the first. The service was spectacular (Thanks David). We got excellent recommendations including the Indigo cocktail (pictured) which was very refreshing. All other food was consumed before snapping a photo but was so good. I had the Arancini and Truffle fries for an appetizer and the Honey and Ham pizza for my entree. I would book a flight back just for the pizza. My friend got the Mini Rigatoni which was also great! I'll be back next March!

Yelp
As an Italian, I'm incredibly picky about my Italian food- and every dish at Olivia is perfection. Their appetizers are fantastic to share with friends, we loved the arancini. Their lasagna on special was the best lasagna I've ever had (don't tell my Italian grandma) and was rolled into a delicious wheel with a nice cheesy crust. Service is always exceptional, and I love watching the chefs make the homemade pasta through the windows. 1000/10 experience every time, and will always be a favorite Italian spot for me

Yelp
I ordered the fried seafood appetizer, squirting pasta, short rib, ravioli, sort of thing. I forgot what the Italian names are. We also got the house drink. The appetizer was amazing! I got a live of each seafood and it was cooked profession and variable season. Highly recommend this appetizer. I got the squid pasta. It's quite good however, it was a little bit more al dente than I would like it. So we had a little bit of a pasty interior. I would've liked it to be a little bit more cooked. Otherwise, the flavors are there and it is a very good season dish. The river ravioli was really good, and Hardy. Same with the pasta, wish it was cooked just a minute longer or two so I didn't have that PC texture. Otherwise also very well seasoned very good dish. The service was great! It was my first time here at Olivia's. The server was very helpful and gave us great recommendations and was able to describe the dishes very well.

Yelp
Keeping it simple, Atmosphere 5.0 Decor 5.0 Service 5.0 food 4.5 stars Kitchen times 3.5 Food was on point for what you would expect the process to be a little high. The deserts were a bit lacking in flavor. There wasn't really any wow factor. The wait for our food was the major downfall of the entire night. When we arrived the host had found us a seat with no reservations a plus however stated they needed the table by 8:30, it was 1/4 til 7 so we said sure that's little over hour and a half. At 8:15pm we had to ask about our meal because we were worried we would get the boot and not even eat our food. The service was awesome and spoke with the host to let them we had got our food late and the kitchen was behind. This was really the only thing that stood out. Being around this long I'm assuming they have staff shortages like everyone else.

Yelp
Olivia has great ambiance & service but the food is also incredible. The bolognese is insanely good and full of flavor. Apps are great & desserts too. Must visit if you like Italian food
