1st time here and I have to say that it was worth the 40 minutes drive. Food was really good and the Stone bowl Phó was pretty good 😊. Highly recommended.

I tried the Grilled Pork Banh Mi and it was absolutely delicious. The pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a smoky flavor that really stood out. The pickled daikon and carrots added a nice crunch and balanced the richness of the meat. The bread was fresh and crispy on the outside but soft inside, just how a good banh mi should be. You can tell everything was made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back for this sandwich again !

The OJ’s Wings were honestly one of the best appetizers I’ve had at a Vietnamese restaurant. They were fried perfectly crispy and tossed in house fish sauce that had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The flavor was bold but not overwhelming. I also appreciated that they were served hot and fresh. Great portion size for sharing, but I almost didn’t want to share them at all !!!

I ordered the Special Rice Cake (Bot Chien) and it exceeded my expectations. The rice cake was crispy on the outside and soft inside, topped with egg, radish, and herbs that made every bite flavorful and satisfying. The sweet soy sauce tied everything together beautifully. It tasted authentic and reminded me of street food in Vietnam. It’s not something you find everywhere, so I was happy to see it on the menu. Highly recommend trying this dish if you want something unique !

Really delicious!! Had the special combination pho. Broth was so flavorful! The pork vermicelli was really fresh and the pork very tender! Will be coming back. Only disclaimer plates are only one size, I wish they had smaller sizes. Over all great food and taste, super clean, and great service!

Good food and service. Went for dinner on a Sunday after work and staff was very attentive. I ordered the Pho and it was much better than I expected. This is one of those places way out of my way, but hey, will travel for food! Found this because hubs' job takes him around town and he popped in here on a whim one day for lunch. He brought me on a weekend and it lit a fire for pho for me. I've tried Ong Jas at lunch, on weekends, and at dinner. We've done a sampling of a bunch of things on the menu, but the bahn mi that comes on the skillet and the pho is what shines and the pho is what keeps me coming back. I'm sure it's personal preference on broth and I couldn't tell you what they do with theirs, but big fan here. I'm partial to be filet (or eye of round depending on where you go). Worth a note - the small human is *picky* when it comes to pho/ ramen and he enjoys it here. Haven't had anything resembling bad service to date so +1 for consistency. It's in a strip center, but inside is roomy and bright, ample seating for big groups too. I'm on the hunt for great pho, so stay tuned for as I eat (and review) my way throug pho/ Viet in Houston. Ong Jas in the upper echelon for me and the 30-45 minute drive to a part of town I have no need to be just for food is proof (driving in Houston 0/10, haha).

Food tasted amazing! I had the tomato rice with shaking beef. It was tender and full of flavor, but I wish they gave more beef. The meat to rice ratio was off, but tasted great nonetheless. I also had the coconut milk tea afterwards. It tasted great, but unfortunately the boba was undercooked so it was very chewy and tough in the middle...

This place is outstanding! I had the hot stone pho & the shaken beef! Everything was so delicious Except could've had more beef in the shaken beef! The Food, Service and Presentation as well as the music was a great vibe...

It's good to have Viet food in the area to add more variety. Friends wanted to check this place out so we came here for dinner on a weekend. Spacious inside with plenty of tables and easy parking. It was interesting to see pho served in a hot pot style with the stone bowl, not something you would typically see. I tasted the pho broth and felt that it lack the authenticity of what you would expect. Understandably that each place has their own spin on their version of pho but what I didn't like was a certain artificial taste from the broth. On the other hand, the garlic noodles with shaking beef/bo luc lac was good. Overall, services were friendly and we enjoyed our time here.

This is one of the best (if anything, the best!) viet places I've had in Pearland. I have tried MANY bot chien and this one made it up in my list by far! The Bo ne was cooked great as well! Bun Bo hue and pho was a bit lacking in flavor .. but with the additional toppings/sauces, it was good! We were a big party, 17 people and they accommodated us and were so kind! We will be back!

The customer service here was outstanding! I ordered the garlic noodles with chicken, it came with red sauce on the side. It wasn't my fav. The manger suggested I try the shaken beef, it was delicious. The egg rolls were outstanding! I told extra home with me. Lastly everyone orders the cold Jasmine tea, but I was trying to unwind from a long day so I had it hot. It's not sweet but it was relaxing.

My friend saw a TikTok for this restaurant, so since we were in the Houston suburbs already, we stopped by here to get dinner. I ordered the OJ's Vemicelli (based off the photo, I don't remember if it was grilled chicken or grilled pork, they are both $11.50 though). This is usually my go-to order at Vietnamese restaurants, if I am not ordering pho. Since we were planning to go to a rave later that night, I didn't want to be too full and wanted something that wouldn't sit heavily in my stomach. Our table of four was a bit rambunctious, so I am thankful that the staff that took our order and served us were helpful and friendly.

second time and i had the same thing, bun bo hue. it was very good and so was the milk tea. not overly sweet. boba was good today. portion of the food good as well! i recommend others to try.

I've gone here multiple times. Their food is delicious and their staff is friendly. With it being fairly new, I will forgive their lack of items like spring rolls and steamed rice. Also, we had to ask our waiter for small plates for our appetizers, utensils and napkins. They replaced the steamed rice with their tomato fried rice, which is $2.50 extra. Their food is delicious. Our waiter suggested the longan honey limeade and we loved it. I will definitely come back to try their other items.

I stopped by here as I was in Pearland for a work training and got a 45 minute lunch. I drove over around 1115am, no one was here so I sat down and ordered a nice big bowl of pho. It was cold out so this was more than soothing my belly. Food came out quick and I was able to return to my training with no problem. The place is clean and shares a parking lot with other establishments in the center. Single stall restroom and you pay at the counter. The pho was pretty big but the broth was delicious and the 3 proteins I picked were wonderful! I would come back for sure.

I loved the ambiance of this little place. Overall it was a good experience, not great but good enough. I ordered the spring rolls, and there was nothing spectacular about them, but they were nice enough to make them without pork for me! I did appreciate that! I ordered water that was pretty much room temperature, this is a personal preference but I prefer to have a lot of ice, sadly I had to request it a couple of times before I actually got it. I'll live I promise. But now to the real star of the show! I went in with the I tent to order a hot stone bowl, however I ended up ordering a rice plate and boy oh boy was I happy I did! Perhaps these pictures aren't doing it justice, but let me tell you it was amazing!!! The flavor and temperature of the short ribs was perfect and the amount of everything was just perfect! Give this a try you will not be disappointed! I might go back to try that hot stone pho, but for now I was impressed with this!

We ordered the lunch special (15.99). You have your choice of vermicelli or rice, grilled pork or chicken and comes with the standard lettuce, fish sauce, carrot/daikon, and cucumbers. The fish sauce and veggies were good. Their meat had a lot of fat and I personally wish it was cooked longer. It also comes with a egg roll or spring roll. It's hot so the latter was the obvious choice. Also their rolls had cha lua in it, which I never thought to put in but it is so yummy. Peanut sauce was tasty as well. A choice of flavored black tea. We got strawberry and passion fruit. If you're watching your auger intake, I would skip this one. I also felt like the water tasted funny. I wasn't a fan of their water. I did however love that the server runs your card at the table like they do in nyc and Europe. I think this concept should be more widespread in the US.

Food here is always good. They have awesome lunch specials. Portions are big for a lunch portion and include a salad and a spring roll. Their Thai tea is delicious. Service is good and food always comes out pretty fast. There's a special discount for teachers, first responders and military.

I came here for a bday dinner with a group of yelpers. Apparently, the place has only been open for 3 months, so it's very new. It was surprisingly a sparse crowd for a Saturday afternoon. But I wasn't complaining, lol. I enjoy a good pho as much as the next gal, but I was not in the mood for soup. The hot stone did look very comforting though. Food - I had one of the special- OJs fried tomato rice with my protein of choice: grilled shrimp. Comes with 8 shrimp and a side salad on the plate, under a bed of rice. I was curious about the garlic noodles, looked pretty yum, but I didn't order. If I were to come back, may try this. Service - wasn't bad, considering it was a large group, which I know is challenging. Some had to wait longer than others for food. FYI, they didn't appear to want to split checks. Some places aren't keen about it, but transparency is key. The group overall seemed satisfied with their meals.

Always a fan! been coming here since they opened and we order out often. It's one of the Pho places that is flavorful and my kids gobble up the food. Highly, highly recommend it. The OJ Shaken Beef - can' t go wrong

This restaurant is really pretty. It definitely is instagrammable. I had the egg rolls and hot stone pho. The egg rolls were good. The pho was just ok. It was not authentic. I can taste the artificial beef flavoring. The hot stone pot was cool but if you're like me and want to eat right away, it is not for you. I don't really like to wait for my food to cool down. Although I did not enjoy my pho due to the artificial beef flavoring, it was pretty to look at. If that's your thing. I would much rather go to Yummy Pho and Bo Ne for authentic pho if you are looking for something in the area.

A nice authentic Vietnamese food that is also trendy. So you don't have to drive too far for good Vietnamese food if you live in South of Houston. One of the cool thing about the pho here is they have a big hot stone bowl for your pho. The wings are delicious a great appetizer.

We came here twice within a week span. Portions are pretty big. Pandan milk isn't bad doesn't taste like soy milk. More of milk with pandan syrup. Egg rolls texture felt dry and flavor is ok We ordered kids beef & chicken pho and it was so diluted with water can't taste broth. They give a lot of noodles The beef pho for adults, the fatty brisket hard fat wasn't removed, causing it very hard to chew. But other cuts of meat is good quality. The fried chicken garlic noodles was good. The beef short ribs and rice is pretty good. We ordered two plates of it. one plate had nice cuts of meat on it and the Other one is nothing but far no meat. So it looked like the plate was barely touched. Wish they were consistent on the portions and quality. Bun Bo hue was a little bland to me. Big portion too overwhelming with so many cuts of meat.

OMG the food is sooooo good! We got the egg roll appetizer which I would recommend. And I got the tomato rice with shaking beef based in the server's suggestions and I'm so glad he suggested it! I would up ordering another just to take home for my husband to try as well. It's just that good. Normally I'd say I can't wait to come back and try something else from their menu but nope, I found perfection so I'll be back for more tomato rice and shaking beef for sure!

I recently ordered takeout from Ong Jas and was extremely disappointed to find a bug in my to-go plate. This is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. To make matters worse, I called the establishment to report the issue, but no manager has called me back. This lack of response shows poor customer service. I expected much better from this place and hope they address these issues immediately.

We have been big fans of this place ever since it opened! We love to get their pho when it's cold outside, but today we decided to get some non-pho items for takeout. The food was ready super quickly and everything was very fresh. Their portions are great as well. We got the garlic noodles (a favorite) with fried chicken, the pork vermicelli bowl, spring rolls, and egg rolls. Everything was well seasoned and well cooked, and man I just can't get enough of the garlic oil on the garlic noodles.

If you are in Pearland and craving for Vietnamese food, you must go to Ong Jas. Their rice plates are top notch especially the grilled chicken dish! Service is really quick here and the staff are very friendly. It's a very nice quiet restaurant both made for date night and family dinner!

We visited Ong Jas Viet Kitchen on a Friday for lunch. The restaurant is located in a small strip center so there is plenty of parking. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. The waiters are very nice and attentive. They offer great service. The food was absolutely delicious and the chef is quite attentive to detail. We enjoyed: - egg rolls - pho wok - oj's rice with grilled pork - oj's vermicelli with beef short ribs - oj's garlic noodles with shaking beef I look forward to my next opportunity to visit Ong Jas. I recommend you give them a try.

The food was delicious! The service was great! The atmosphere was amazing! I had to share a bowl with my S.O. since we didn't want to eat too much. The proteins inside the Phở Đặc Biệt wasn't too bad. I liked the broth since it was not too fatty and still flavorful. The portion of the noodle was a decent amount. The vegetables were pretty fresh as well.

My go to dish at Ong Jas. It's the tomato rice with shaking beef (or Bo Luc Lac) as pictured. My family members have tried the different pho bowls and xiu mai with French bread and enjoyed it all. Their drinks have been very good, as well. The staff are polite and super hard working. Sometimes it gets busy that you may have to remind them about refilling your drinks, but they are very accommodating. Highly recommend this delicious Vietnamese restaurant located in the west side of Pearland.

Excellent sandwiches! Super fresh french bread perfectly toasted. I tried the grilled pork sandwich and it was perfect. Higher recommended. The place is pretty, super clean and the is very friendly and service oriented. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!

We tried this place during their soft opening. Very good food and service. The pork vermicelli was 5 stars. They had three kinds of sauces/condiments on each table and I like that...don't have to ask for it. Hoisin sauce, chili paste and a spicy hot sauce, loved all three and they made my pork sing. My wife loved her chicken pho broth, the chicken was just three stars, kind of chewy and bland. I had a stellar iced Viet coffee, 5 stars 'cause it wasn't too sweet. We snarfed up a couple orders of fried cha gio egg rolls, they cut these in half on a diagonal....5 stars.

This is a cute little place. I ordered online for pick up. It was very easy and my order was ready when I came. The Vietnamese coffee is good. I'm not a coffee drinker but I wanted to try it. The flavored black tea is good, not too sweet and you can mix flavors. The veggie spring rolls were crispy and tasty according to my sis. However you only get 3 really small pieces so not really enough to share. I ordered the steamed rice and short ribs. It was well seasoned. The sauce for three rice is on the side in case you aren't sure about fish sauce. I wish there were different veggies. It comes with lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. All of which water the dish down. But those are typical in Vietnamese cuisine. Definitely want to try other items.

My friend just moved to Texas from California and I came along with her for the drive. After furniture shopping we were starving. We wanted to try all the Asian restaurants out here so this was our second one. You can tell the establishments in this plaza are fairly new. It was bright, clean, and decorated beautifully. The food did not disappoint either. I got the shaken beef with tomato rice. I ate everything on the plate and got a side of broth. My friend tried a piece and said the meat was so tender that she ended up getting that dish Togo. Everything from the service, quality, flavors, presentation of the dishes was top notch. We got food Togo from Thaicoon next door and that place was lacking in flavor even though they are a Thai restaurant. I will definitely be coming back here when I visit her.

This place was meh. Hubby and I went here on a friday night for dinner and it was just okay. A lot of things were cancelled out on the menu. The entire section of Banh Mi Chao was cancelled out. Pho Ga was cancelled out. So, very limited eating option remained. I ordered OJs Garlic noodles with fried chicken. Fried Chicken was very good, but the garlic noodles itself was just unremarkable. Vegetable spring roll was fair. Hubby ordered OJs Pho Hot Stone. He thought it was alright. Service was slow. Our server was eating dinner in the middle of the shift which is fine, but nobody took over his place. So, we were without water for a long time.

THhis place is a nice addition to the ever growing list of aviet places in Pearland. Very beautiful inside. Gave Montrose vibes. Service was swift and friendly. Waiters were young but very mature and professional. For the food... got the wings app. It was meeehhh. Very little flavor. Thankfully, it was crispy enough that a little Sriracha sauce and red pepper sauce revived it enough to be edible. For entre I went with the sizzling bo ne. Nice enough presentation and flavour was OK. The egg became a bit overcooked so the yolk did not run loose. My main gripe with the was just how tiny the actual dish was. You probably get 4 or 5 oz of the beef in total. But at least it was tender and well seasoned. I LOVED the crispness of the bread. The butter on the side had a mild flavor but very tasty. Salad was fresh....but no dressing???. For dessert I asked for 2 servings of the small lychee jelly toppings you'd get with a milkshake. Soooo good. I am addicted to those suckers . Overall: A- I'd return. But I won't lie...I was actually eyeing the Thai place right next door. But still under construction.

A Cozy place for some Vietnamese foods. Banh Mi Grilled Pork and Pho are recommeded, the Pho comes with an option of fresh pho noodles which really elevates the dish. Salted Vietnamese Coffee (ca phe muoi) was also of high quality. Interior decorations is top notch!

I believe this restaurant is fairly new. Not the best Vietnamese food I've had and it's pricey for just okay food. I had the OJ tomato fried rice with shaking beef and the pandan milk. The OJ tomato rice was flavorless and the shaking beef was a little chewy. The portion size also wasn't much. The pandan milk was my least favorite. It didn't taste like pandan at all but instead it was just sweet milk.

Very cute atmosphere. Very clean and bright. Cute tables. Staff was nice. Food came out fast. The hot stone sizzling pho was great. Very hot so get ready to blow your food but worth it. I just kept burning my mouth because I loved it. The broth was tasty.

I came here on a Sunday. I was the first customer in the restaurant, and the place got crowded quickly! The table I was seated out was actually dirty! There were spots of soup splattered around. Maybe I'd understand if it was dinner time, but again I was the first diner in when they opened. That's just sad... and gross. But seeing how I'm used to places like this, I let it slide. I ordered the pho stone pot. It took quite a while for the food to come out, so don't expect it to be like your typical pho place where the food comes out in less than 5 minutes. As far as the pho, the broth did initially taste a little sweeter than usual. It was like there was a hint of hoisin sauce already in it. It didn't bother me as the broth was very good by the end (but I wonder if part of that is due to me burning my tongue every time I sipped the soup). You don't get a choice of what meat goes in it, and the quantity seemed lacking. There were a lot of noodles to fill you up though (which I prefer anyways). If I go back, I'll just get the regular pho bowl. Seeing the boiling soup was a one time "ooh and ah" for me. The service is lacking. Yes, the place was packed by the time I was done but once I got the pho, not one server ever stopped by to see how I was doing or if I needed anything else. I had wanted to order some food to go, but alas, maybe next time. I wasn't sure where to pay either since a waiter never came back. Eventually I went up to the front and waited for a bit before someone came to check me out. Ratings: Pho 4/5 (which I based the overall rating on) Service 2/5 Cleanliness 3/5 If I'm ever in the area, I'd give it another try. However, there are too many other good pho restaurants in the Houston area for me to drive out to Pearland just to eat here.

Came for lunch during soft opening. Some items are still not available yet. Tomato rice with shaking beef - barely taste the tomato flavor. The beef was cook perfectly but there is barely any flavor. Wouldn't get this again unless they change their recipe to add more sauce or flavor to the beef. Vermicelli with kalbi - wife enjoyed it. She said the fish sauce was good with the dish. Kalbi was cooked to her liking. Decor is nice and staff very friendly.

Probably the absolute worst Pho I have ever had. Definitely not worth the drive out here. The garlic noodles are spot on compared to one I had in SF at PPQ Dungeness Crab. Good job on the noodles.

Everything was amazing, (aside from the water lol if you're a water person, you'll know what I'm talking about) we ordered the egg rolls, garlic noodles with shaking beef, and fried rice with beef, and pandan milk. The beef was cooked perfectly, super tender and seasoned so well! I don't know what I was expecting with the garlic noodles because I just assumed garlic and noodles lol but there was so much more flavor than that! It was my favorite dish out of everything. I didn't know what to expect with tomato fried rice but it was great! You really can't go wrong if you don't know if you want a noodle or rice dish, either would hit the spot. And the pandan milk was the perfect amount of sweetness. Just go and order anything and I'm sure it'll all be good. I'll be back to do just that.

We came in on a Saturday evening around 5pm with a group of ten. Several yelpers were recommending this spot because they had a good experience & the food was good, so why not. Considering it was a Saturday I was expecting for it to be busy but we were the only group there along with a couple sitting at the end. The ambiance was very relaxing & the decor was nicely laid out. The service was pretty good as well. I've heard about their stone bowl from a friend so of course I had to order it. What I like about it is that the bowl keeps the broth hot for a longer time versus a regular bowl. The Stone bowl is pretty much the combination that comes with all the meats, I asked them to take out the tendon & add extra brisket. Okay, so I thought the broth was okay/decent, it had a sweetness to it but was missing that oomph. I definitely had to add some sriracha & hoisin sauce to give it more flavor. The meats on the other hand were tendered & not tough. The noodles were soft and close to being soggy. I also got to try my partner pho to see if there was a difference, it was. The broth tasted like water & didn't have any flavor to it. Probably one of the most bland broth I've tasted in a while. I'm not sure why mine tasted different versus his because we order the same thing but mine was on a stone bowl. I looked at their kitchen staff & most of them were college students making your food. I'm not saying that they can't cook, but the broth didn't have any depth to it. I say bring an OG who knows what he/she is doing to teach them a thing or two. Overall, I had high expectations for this spot unfortunately it was just a fairly decent experience. The one thing I can say is that the plating is on point, so the presentation is nice but the food lacks flavor. Will I come back? Yes, I'll give them another try in the future.

Service was horrible. I got seated and 10 minutes passed and no one comes up to me to ask if I wanted drinks or to order. Multiple waiters passed by us to help other tables around us and still didn't acknowledge that we were there. We tried to wave down a server but was ignored. Horrible horrible service. There are other good viet places around. Dont waste your time here.

After reading previous reviews, we made a lunchtime stop today, and we have nothing but good things to say. The staff was friendly, polite and professional. The dining area was meticulously clean; and the food was great. I had the garlic noodles with beef and my wife had the tomato rice with shrimp. We also shared a Vietnamese coffee. Start to finish, we enjoyed our meals, and we will definitely be returning.

Food was phenomenal. Service was prompt. Place was very clean. Definitely will be telling my friends and coming back.

After I saw the Houston Press article featuring the hot stone pho, I just could not resist and had to go try the dish for myself. This location is right next to the Thaicoon in Pearland. In addition to the hot stone pho, I also got the spring rolls which were excellent. The hot stone pho tasted great but it was somewhere between getting a hot pot and a pho. The stone really keeps the dish hot until the very last bite. The noodles were really good. The meats come in a tray and served next to the bowl a la hot pot style. You can cook the meats to your liking which felt slightly gimmicky at times because I am not sure how long to cook the meat for pho as I am usually accustomed to the meat that has already been added to the bowl prior to serving. Once I had tried all the different meats "hot pot style" I decided to put everything in the bowl and just mixed it. The final product was a delicious pho that stayed hot till the last drop. I think it's a great novelty idea but I am not sure if I will be back for this dish. Another thing that I noted was that they don't have the pandan flavor ice cream. I was very disappointed about that because from their menu it said that they would have it but the server said that it's a seasonal flavor. I asked if they make their ice creams in house and they don't so I am not sure how can pandan be seasonal when you can find it in Asian grocery stores in any season.
