The Best Restaurants in Minneapolis and St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"Chef On Khumchaya’s enduring University Avenue restaurant, On’s Kitchen, serves some of the finest Thai food in the metro, dishing up peppery larb, stuffed chicken wings, and decadently fatty nam thok kor moo yang (pork neck with lemongrass, mint, and scallions), among other dishes. The silky tom kha soup is a soul-restoring choice for long winter evenings — On’s is also one of the best places to order whole steamed tilapia, prepared simply but skillfully with fragrant broth, lime, and rice." - Eater Staff

The 10 Best Restaurants In St. Paul 2024

"This family-run spot has some of the best Thai food in the Twin Cities and a somewhat overwhelming encyclopedia of 100-plus dishes. We like to start with the spring rolls as a vehicle for the masterfully sour/sweet/spicy peanut dipping sauce before moving on to the curries. The star of the show is the pad prik moo grop stir fry, with crispy pieces of pork belly wading in a vibrant red curry sauce. Spice is in your control with a scale that runs from none all the way to “Thai Hot Hot Hot,” which, to reiterate in case you’re speedreading, has three hots in its name and is not for the faint of heartburn. This is a really good Thai restaurant. They have an extensive menu with alcohol drinks and much to choose from on their menu .You get very large portions of food and the quality is exceptional! I have been going there for years & you have so many choices. The last time I went to this restaurant,I had stir fry with tofu and assorted vegetables it was just delicious. This establishment is extremely clean and the staff helps you order, what you like. There is free parking and the restroom is very clean. Before I would come here,I would check their online menu.Since there are so many choices. This gives the opportunity to check the many items they have and saves you some time. They offer different spices levels from mild to hot and that is your choice. For a lovely Thai meal, try to get to this establishment. It's one of the finer Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities, Enjoy!!

I'm a lover of all Asian food and this is a hidden gem! The service is ALWAYS so inviting and the food is 🔥!!! The fried chicken egg rolls are always so so good, the fresh spring rolls are a hit and this time I went with the papaya salad and let me tell you... One of the best I've had!! We also stepped out and tried the chicken Wings and they were crunchy and delicious! The restaurant is a decent size, clean with a few design elements. Give them a try your taste buds will thank you!!

Google
Thai spicy papaya was legit but too hot for me so be warned. Didn’t like their beef noodle soup, way too sweet. Egg rolls were fine, and a good deal at its price. Might try again.

I can’t believe it took me so long to make it to On’s kitchen. It was amazing! The chicken laab, squash curry with chicken and stuffed chicken wings were outstanding. The stuffed chicken wings were seriously to die for. I have no clue how they make these but they are delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

I love Thai food. And this place is fantastic. Great selection of really authentic dishes to choose from. I tried #25 (can’t remember the name) and it was delicious. I asked for between mild and medium and they nailed it. I would definitely this place And nice they have free easy parking behind the building

Google
Large menu - lots of options. Food was super flavorful and staff was very friendly. Note: there is a 4% extra charge if you choose to pay using a card The place has dim lighting so at a glance it looks like it is closed but when you get inside, there are several booths and these fun blue hanging lights (booths will tip forward though if you sit on the edge) Spice level can be customized (1-10), we ordered: 🍅 Tom Yum (level 2 spice): surprisingly this nicely counteracted the Khao Pad-Ga-Prow's spice, little too sour for me but otherwise really good (7/10) 🍳 Khao Pad-Ga-Prow: really good stir fry and the egg was a nice touch to the overall dish (9/10) 🦑 Crispy Calamari: very fun and crispy (8/10) 🧋 Thai tea: less fragrant than green tea (8/10) 🍵 green tea: fragrant but in a nice way, initially tastes sweet but then you the fragrant tea flavor at end. My personal favorite of the night (10/10)✨ Overall a lovely space with great food! I recommend stopping by if you are in the area

I recently had the pleasure of dining at On’s Kitchen, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. We sampled a variety of dishes, each one better than the last. We started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly grilled and accompanied by a rich, flavorful peanut sauce. The crab cakes were a standout, with a crispy exterior and a succulent, well-seasoned filling that melted in the mouth. The Thai red curry was another highlight, boasting a perfect balance of spices and a rich, creamy coconut milk base that paired wonderfully with the tender pieces of chicken. The mussels were fresh and cooked to perfection, swimming in a delicious broth that was perfect for dipping. The steamed fish was the crowning glory of the meal. It was tender, flaky, and infused with subtle, aromatic flavors that showcased the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef. Overall, On’s Kitchen provided a delightful culinary experience with every dish executed to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic and delicious Thai cuisine.

Update: I originally gave 3 stars, but after their response, I’m dropping it to 1. They replied saying “this isn’t Americanized Chinese food,” which is completely irrelevant and dismissive. I never questioned the authenticity but just pointed out two dishes were clearly smaller. Their response was dismissive, unprofessional, and borderline offensive. —————— I was a customer and loved their food, but this experience was really disappointing. The food tastes great, and the walk-in experience was decent. However, the portion sizes were a big problem. We ordered six dishes and two dishes (red curry pork belly and eggplant) were noticeably smaller that barely filling the container. I called three times to address this. The first two times, they told me they would pass the issue to the owner, but I never received a call back. On the third call, a manager finally picked up, but instead of listening, they kept insisting there was no problem and refused to offer any solution. When I said I could provide a picture, they dismissed it, saying they didn’t need to see it, seriously? The red curry pork belly portion was so small that I could literally count the number of pieces in it. It looked like leftovers when I opened the box. This is not my first time ordering, so I know what portion sizes to expect. I also made it clear that we are satisfied with the other four dishes, yet they still refused to acknowledge the problem. I used to love this place, but ignoring customer concerns, failing to follow up, and refusing to even look at proof is unacceptable. Really disappointed.

Yelp
On's is a great little local Thai spot that we love to visit for some casual curry and Thai tea. Unassuming from the outside, the inside is painted a deep red with dim lighting and an array of comfy booths that give each meal an intimate and cozy vibe. The servers are very kind but sometimes seem a little overwhelmed, the food does take quite some time to come out and our drink order was mixed up last visit but the food is delicious and it's still absolutely worth the visit - just plan ahead for timing if you're trying to to make a match at the soccer stadium or a concert at Turf Club.

Yelp
We ordered delivery and expected this place to be good based on reviews. Pad see ew was average as well as the appetizers. Pad Thai was not great. It almost tastes like ketchup noodles. I grew up in the bay and not even close to any of the restaurants in SF. We would not order her again.

Yelp
This time we shared our two favorites from the last time (red curry shrimp and ginger chicken), and added roasted duck. Also shared spring rolls. That sauce with the duck! Mmmm. The red shrimp curry seemed like a smaller portion than the other dishes and less than our last visit, but everything was sooo flavorful. Definitely one of the best Thai food places we've enjoyed anywhere.

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of this restaurant for nearly 15 years and still recommend. I finally tried something new instead of my usual order today and was so impressed and found my new favorites. I got the shrimp dumplings and the number 46. Please get 46. Moo Haeng I believe it is called on menu. Incredibly cooked noodles in such a flavorful sauce yet it was also so refreshing! I found it to be just as tasty later after getting cold! The mix of sour from the lime with the crunch of peanut and fat from the pork...just impressive. It's also served with a giant fried wonton that was so tasty and fun to use as a utensil. Please try this dish. I already want it again and it reminded me to be excited to try new things. Thai food is way more than curry and pad Thai.

Yelp
Take out/delivery order review. The nam Khao (crispy curry rice salad with pork sausage) is out of this world!! ! I've never had this dish before and boy have I been missing out. Ordered medium-hot. Wasn't too bad on the spice, I could have probably ordered up one level. The dish is so tangy and flavorful with delicious textures. Don't sleep on this one!!

Yelp
Finally made it to On's Thai. First of all I have to say that the stuffed chicken leg is so unique and so good! I'm thinking it must be quite a process however it is totally worth it. This looks like a chicken leg. You can pick it up and eat it or eat it with a fork and knife. The outside skin is crispy. The inside is diced chicken, mushrooms and noodles. Really tasty. We also ordered their chicken pad thai, drunken noodles, panang curry and of course some wontons. Their chicken pad thai was solid. I really like anything with rice noodles so their drunken noodles was a hit. The panang curry was rich and had great depth, however had too much ginger for my taste and how can you go wrong with deep fried cream cheese goodness. Happy to have finally tried On's Thai. Looking forward to trying more dishes and getting some more of those stuffed chicken legs.

Yelp
I was recommended to try On's by a friend who loves Thai food. I don't venture towards St. Paul often - but I finally ordered takeout today. First off - I love spicy dishes - so I was excited by the spice range. I typically hear of "1-5" with 5 being "Thai hot" at most places. On's has two additional levels - Thai Hot Hot and Hot Hot Hot. I'll admit it... I chickened out and only did the "Thai Hot Hot" because I had never been before. The flavor of the dish was great and the heat was there, but I definitely think I could've handled the highest. Anytime I go Thai I target something with a combo of peppers, onion, and jalapeños. I don't think I've ever had this specific dish before - but I didn't find any mushrooms or jalapeños in what I received. The jalapeños missing may explain why I wasn't feeling the heat. Overall this place is great! I think I need to give it another try and maybe eat at the restaurant.

Yelp
Best Thai in town, everything is always so good. So many varieties. Seriously order anything it will be good.

Yelp
I've not been to the physical location, so this review is off of getting a couple dishes delivered for dinner. So I cannot speak on the service or ambiance of the place. We had the Pad Thai and Panang curry. The Pad Thai was very, very good - probably the best Pad Thai I've had in the Twin Cities. It had a great balance of flavors and good ratios between all the ingredients. The amount of sauce meant the noodles were neither drenched or dry. All around good stuff. The portion was very large, easily enough for dinner and then lunch again the following day. The Panang curry I would not order again. It was okay at best but very, very overpriced for the amount you get. I don't know that I'd even consider it a full meal, and they charge more for it than I've seen at other Thai places in town that serve twice as much. It had a lot of inedible ingredients still mixed in to the sauce that made it extremely annoying to eat, as you'd constantly end up biting down on pieces of woody lemongrass. Getting 4*s here is riding entirely on the pad thai. The Panang was a 2* dish at best. I fully believe all the reviews here that both had very positive and very negative experiences - I think it depends entirely on what dishes were ordered whether the portions seem huge or tiny, or whether the flavors are popping or mediocre. That said, get the Pad Thai.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food from here. They have a good spice level. I got the Tom Kha and fried rice. The service was quick, and the staff I met was kind. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the ambiance was nice. With the food I got, I was able to make 2/3 full meals out of each one. The price matches the sizes of the dishes!
google avatar

Tricia K.

Yelp
On's has my one of favorite pad see ew dishes. It's SO good! You get a large portion and it's always piping hot, which I love. Nothing is worse than luke warm food. I also had the fried chicken egg rolls, which are also amazing. They were crispy and the mixture of chicken and noodles are so tasty. Our server was so friendly and happy. It wasn't very busy the night we were in, so the food came super fast. I will for sure go back.
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
We visited On's before a concert at the Turf Club and ate in, which we rarely do. On walking in, they immediately have a sign saying they're understaffed and appreciate our patience, which I can respect. That being said, there definitely was a wait for service; that's definitely not a deal breaker for me, but something to keep in mind if you're looking to get in & out quickly (you might want to order ahead for takeout instead). I ordered the Cream Cheese Wontons this time, which were good but not the best I've ever had. The cream cheese inside tasted a bit overcooked, it was sort of curdled? for lack of a better word. The sauce, though, was delicious. I also tried my friends' spring roll, which was fresh and super tasty. The sauce for that was stellar as well, I would definitely order it myself next time. I also got a lychee martini! On's prices are reasonable, but I'm definitely curious about their $18 cocktails (why are they so much?). The lychee was sweet and tasty with enough oomph for me to feel the alcohol a bit, but without tasting too strong. It definitely isn't anywhere near as strong as a lot of martinis I've had, which can be a plus depending on what you're looking for lol. All in all, I still prefer takeaway over eating in, just because I'd rather be comfy at home. However, the servers are always helpful and the food is always good. Either way, you can't go wrong with On's!

Yelp
There were no authentic lao flavor in this dish what so ever. It was overly sour and sweet. Would no recommend ordering this dish. Way over priced for the portion.
google avatar

Nalani T.

Yelp
Love this place! Admittedly I've only ever gotten the pad thai but it's consistently very tasty. Spiciness is definitely not toned down so don't order a higher spice level if you aren't sure you can handle it. The portions are also pretty large and I was able to split one order into 2 meals.
google avatar

Yelp
On's Thai Kitchen's food will always be on point! Staff are super friendly! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
TOGO ORDER The interior beautiful. The parking is an issues as how small it is and tough it was to get around. Service was fairly average for wait times since it was a lunch rush, no biggie. Wonton soup is more on the sweeter side. I do like how filling their wontons are because most places would provide wonton with wrapper over meat Tom yum was veryyyyy delicious. If you like your soup more on the stronger sour and savory side. This place is for you because the lime leaves were a hit. They're also no shy with the amount of tofu they provided. I was about to have enough for lunch and save some for later! I will definitely be requesting it to be creamy next time because I am curious to how it'll taste. Pad Thai was perfect. Not overly sweet and the perfect savory taste. Shrimps were over cooked, but other than that all was mouth blowing. FOR MY SPICY LOVERS, I had the TomYum spice level Hot and still added their thai chilies in for and extra kick. Hopefully that helps give you can idea how spicy it is because I can handle and LOOVEE spicy will definitely be dining in sometime soon

ML O.

Yelp
Great, attentive service. Ordered two stir fried noodle dishes and the curry puff. The noodle dishes had good spices but, ultimately, I found them too sweet. I enjoyed the pastry on the curry puff but the filling was dry and flavorless.
google avatar

Anne C.

Yelp
My friends and colleagues consistently rave about this place as the one of the best Thai places in the Twin Cities. The restaurant is dimly lit with a nice ambience. Service can be a little hit or miss when they are very busy, but it is very understandable and does not bother me. Fantastic, diverse menu (not just your average Pad Thai, though they have that, too) with a good balance of meat and veggie options (my favorite is their eggplant) and customizable spice levels (great flavors- I usually get medium). Call or order online ahead for easy takeout. Remember they're closed on Mondays! (I have been disappointed many a times, trying to go on Mondays!) There is a parking lot next to the restaurant, though it is often full. Some additional parking in the lot behind it as well.
google avatar

Tuhin C.

Yelp
On's Thai had pretty delicious Thai food! I went with the soft shell crab with rice and also had a Mango bubble Tea. There dishes are on a range from 1-10 in terms of spice level and I got an 8 since I had never been here before, but I didn't find it too spicy so I think I would be able to go for a 10 in the future. There bubbles teas also come in a slushi form. There were tons of different food options on the menu and this was a great find in St. Paul!
google avatar

Jackie Y.

Yelp
This place has some of the best Thai food I've tried and it never disappoints! The parking can be a little bad as the spots are very tight so it might be a struggle for bigger cars or if the lot fills up. It can get pretty busy during dinner but the couple times I went for lunch usually has spots open. The pad Thai is one of my favorites. It is so flavorful with a combination of salty and sweet. The portion is pretty big as well so it is very filling. The spice level I got was a 3 on a scale of 1-10. I didn't find mine to be very spicy but I do know they don't play around with spice so don't go too high if you can't handle it. We also got a khao ku mu which had a very flavorful pork and delicious soup. I found the sauce on the veggies to be a little too overpowering but overall was a good dish. I will say that the dishes can be a little too salty and overwhelming if you're not someone that likes salty foods, but it works well for someone like me. I think the interior has character to it. Not the best design, but I think it slays with the random pictures everywhere.

Yelp
Another place where the new review won't be much different from the one posted years ago. On's is a staple in my life. Getting off work early on Fridays and suffering the Green Line to get to On's is worth the sacrifice. Latest visit meal is: Stuffed Crab; Pad See-Ew for both. One protein was chicken, the other was crispy fried tofu. The heat level is 6. When ordering something other than mild, be sure to stress that you want it as hot as you've stated. We had one instance where the waiter didn't place the order for one dish with the desired heat level. The stuffed crab is so delicious. I may insist that we order two sets when next we eat at On's. Thus far, sharing hasn't been an issue. It's crispy and soft, and has a deep flavor that your mouth just loves. The Pad See-Ew is well balanced with all the necessary tastes: Sweet, salty, sour, hot. I know that I'm in for a good time when my gums get hot and the heat also lodges in my throat. You can count on this happening with the delectable food you get at On's. This dish is perfectly balanced and the noodles are chewy in all the right ways. Another dish we've tried on a couple different occasions is Ka Mu 5 Spice Pork. This is THE MOST TENDER pork you will eat in your life. Everything about this dish makes you feel happy and amazed that you didn't have to order a week in advance. It's sweet and well seasoned and the sauce you get is the perfect foil. When you are seeking Thai food that cannot be beat, On's Thai Kitchen is THE PLACE to go.

Yelp
Classic maybe the best spot in the cities for Thai i am such a huge fan of dine in or take out there

Tom B.

Yelp
There is an abundance of dishes to order. The servers are very willing to explain your options to you and are super friendly. There's a reason this restaurant has so many loyal customers- the food is excellent and is a good value. It's a great choice for an expansive, flavorful menu.

Yelp
We just happened to end up in this restaurant before a Loons game and it turned out quite well. We were seated right away. I could tell it must be a good place to eat because the takeout line was non-stop. There are many things to choose from the menu. I opted for Pad-see-ew... Stir fried flat noodle in sweet soy w/ pork, carrots, egg & Chinese broccoli. You have several options for protein, all for an extra charge. It was a lot for one person to eat. It was served hot (not spicy because I also opted for the mild version). Service was good. We parked blocks away because of the game so not sure what parking is like on a normal day. Good stop.
google avatar

Tee K.

Yelp
Great, flavorful food but fish was overpriced, double what I paid in other Thai restaurants. Service good. Ambiance ok, my booth chair was kinda hard and a little worn ...guess they are old. Overall, great place. I will be back to try more dishes

Yelp
On's Thai restaurant. The food was excellent served hot and tasty. I had the Penang curry chicken absolutely wonderful. My wife had the pineapple fried rice. I had a taste of hers very nutty very flavorful crisp tasty some of the best Thai food we've had anywhere I would definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Delicious Thai food and friendly service. Located on university Ave, this place is really unassuming but the flavors are amazing! I got the nam khao (crispy rice salad). I had it at and 8 spice level (could choose from 0 to 10). Wow. There was no shortage of flavor or texture. It comes with crispy rice, sausage, peanuts, onion and herbs and served with cabbage and lime vinaigrette. The crispy rice component especially was really well done. Decently sized rice bits with a crunchy bottom. And an 8 heat level really had heat! I love spicy so definitely only go that high if you don't mind some runny noses. Note: they have free parking behind the restaurant

Sven N.

Yelp
I have never written a bad review, unfortunately this will be one. Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had. Noodles were spaghetti type and over cooked. Shrimp was over cooked and the only flavor was sugar. At $19 the portion was small.
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
Great spot for take out or dining in! They have an extensive menu of food and drink options. The green curry was my personal favorite.

Mike D.

Yelp
Ordered take out Cream cheese wontons with sweet and sour sauce: 10/10, fully stuffed no skimping here AT ALL. Probably the realest stuffed wontons I've ever had from any restaurant. Worth every penny. Pad see ew with tofu: 9/10. A solid pad see ew, worth the price. Large portion, many fresh veggies and many cubes of tofu. Khao Mu-Daeng: 9/10. Big portion, comes with extra rice and a side soup. BBQ sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the soup had a little kick. Would definitely order this meal again. Taro bubble tea: 10/10. I love bubble tea! I was going to post photos but I just realized I ate the meal while typing this and now it's all gone... I have 3 wontons left so I will show that.

R G.

Yelp
The steady decline since 2017. I put up with the bad service for the food. Like as in, sticky tables and the server never returns. At one instance I was being showed to my table by like a 12 year old. Still, the food was good. Now it's just about nearly double in price. $9.99 Curry is now $13.99 and the minimum choice is veggie which is $2 making it $15.99 for one curry. Considering they pack it with undercooked bamboo shoots and eggplant, it makes me sad. To address the reply - you've had a hiring sign on your door half the time and the folks I've seen go into your back entrance where your parking lot is was sometimes not appealing. By not appealing I am not referring to any color to clarify. You also did not address the undercooked vegetables or the bad service. Also you're literally located in the worst neighborhood in "the twin cities" and you share a parking lot with a sex shop and a tattoo shop. Gn Joe Also I've been there like...50 times? Service basically always has sucked and been slow. You're mad...wowza. Calm yourself man. You're a business owner.

Brandy R.

Yelp
Always excellent food. Hubs loves the green curry. My favorite is the Panang curry, but honestly everything has been good.
google avatar

Tim D.

Yelp
I enjoyed the Pad Thai from On's. They'll prepare it to your personal preference for spiciness. I wanted it spicy but not burning. They prepared it perfectly.
google avatar

Brenna P.

Yelp
really liked this place! The server was very adept at answering our questions about the LARGE menu. She even made sure to warn us when ordering our heat level that she meant "Thai hot" not "Minnesota hot". Seriously white people, know your tolerance. I actually stole my husband's bacon dish because I'd never had anything like it. The smoky heat was just so interesting and great.
google avatar

Misha Q.

Yelp
What an amazing find! My husband and I were told to dine here by a friend who lives in the city. It was a little crazy to get in (busy means good!). The service was amazing from the moment we sat until we left. We picked a few items to share. The Pineapple curry willl be in my food dreams for a while! I cannot say enough how amazing everything g was. We both cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
Thai food seems to be the current rage among ethnic restaurants. As with Chinese cuisine, there are many variations of Thai cuisine, but few I would consider authentic. On's Thai Kitchen is among the very few I have tried that I would consider "authentic." My criteria are: (1) the menu offerings, (2) the freshness of the ingredients, (3) the taste of the food, and (4) the ambience. The menu is varied, and includes many dishes I've not seen in other Thai restaurants I've visited. One bite of a spring roll, or a chew on a Pad Thai, or a bite of a Thai dumpling tells you the ingredients are fresh. The dishes we tried tasted like no other we've had elsewhere. And, last but not least, Na's is unpretentious: The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly in a family sort of way, and fast; that there were Asian diners during our visit, which is always a good sign. Do try the spring rolls. My companion said they are the best she's ever had anywhere. And the peanut dipping sauce is a better flavor mate than the vinegar-based sauce served in so many other Thai restaurants. Other dishes we enjoyed include the shrimp dumplings, a Thai version of Shu Mai, tofu Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup and Pad Khana Mu-Grop, a delicious blend of broccoli, crispy pork, red bell peppers, pea pods and kale in a tangy sauce. If you're tired of the same ol' same ol' Thai food at the "usual" places, a trip to St. Paul's On's Thai Kitchen is well worth it.

Yelp
I'm super bummed about my experience with On's Thai because previously, I heard such incredible things. We found parking with no issue, which was great. However, upon entering the restaurant it took a while for a server to seat us. Service was slow. The establishment is quite outdated and I worried about cleanliness. I decided to still give it a whirl because sometimes hole in the wall places are the best. We ordered a curry dish, crab fried rice, and chicken satay. The food was inedible and appeared (and smelled) spoiled. The curry was oily and tasteless, the crab meat was gray and reeked of a fishy smell. The chicken was rubbery and also had a foul smell. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this as a place to get Thai food.

Yelp
These guys used to be my favorite but they've raised the prices through the roof. Red Curry used to be $11 now it's like $14 before you chooses a protein for an additional $3.00. So $18.00 for Red Curry with Chicken and a small ass side of rice hellllll nah! Also $20 for a tiny ass salad that used to be $12.00. Nah sorry I'll go to Bangkok Thai and save $20 for the exact same food.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely awesome! The only reason I can't give them five stars is that they leave the tails on their shrimp. There are a few things less pleasant than fishing through a curry, or a stir fry, or a salad, and trying to remove the tails of shrimp. That should obviously be done in the kitchen. After all, they don't leave the feathers on the chicken, or the fur on the beef. Please remove the tails in the kitchen so that I don't have to do it myself, and get my hands filthy and splatter sauce all over my shirt and clothes. Also, there is not adequate parking. So it makes it very difficult even to come by and pick up takeout. Overall, the food is outstanding. Probably as good as I've had anywhere. But I hope that they will reconsider how they serve their shrimp. That's kind of a dealbreaker for me because I don't want to have to get filthy every time I order something with shrimp.

Yelp
When my friends from outside Minnesota come visit me, this is the first restaurant I take them to. The food here is out of this world, both from a taste and from a price standpoint. I don't even recall how many times I have had the crab fried rice, the stuffed chicken wings, the chicken satay, the tom ka, and the pad thai. Today I went back, and had the massaman curry, and was once again amazed in the best way. Given this place's huge menu, there's gotta be something for everybody, unless you just don't like Thai food in general. This also means I have a lot more dishes I need to try there I am willing to give all my support to a small business like such who is a true representation of Thai cuisine, and I am very delightened about the fact that it is right here in Saint Paul. Absolute favorite!

Yelp
This menu is awesome. There is so much variety outside of the typical American Thai faire. I had a rice porridge with ground pork and eggs that was a nice surprise to find, and a dipped pork appetizer that was high quality and both were unlike anything I've had in the states. It's seems to be more of a northern Thai style and as much as I travel in the states I haven't seen some of these types of dishes much since being in Thailand. This was a fun surprise as I was intending to get Ethiopian while in St Paul but it was closed, & I had thought this would be a lot less unique than it is. I'm sure they make a fine pad Thai, curry etc but with a menu this deep, it's worth trying something you might not find elsewhere.

Yelp
Love this little Thai place in St. Paul. Everything is fresh and delicious. We dined in for lunch here yesterday with our two sons. The service was fast and friendly. I can't believe we hadn't been here before. The prices are the best I've seen in the Twin Cities area. The portions are big for the price you pay. If you like spicy Thai, their spice scale is 1-10. They don't skimp in the heat which I love. We had papaya salad, egg rolls, tom yum, chicken pad thai, and pad prik chicken. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this place for dining in, take out and delivery. The metro stop is right in front of the restaurant for those riding the metro. They also have a tiny parking lot behind the restaurant. They also have a an extensive beer and wine list. Come enjoy great Thai and support small business.

Yelp
Christmas's eve dinner. Many thanks for keeping doors open even during this crazy storm. Been a patron for 8 years now. Food is amazing as always and taste the same as when On used to cook before retirement. I have traveled to Thailand no less than 10 times in my life, food here can be even better than mediocre Thai restaurants in Thailand! IMO the must gets are: stuffed chicken wings, pad pongali!!, crab fried rice, 51 five spiced pork, pad see eww, all the curry, Laab!

Yelp
Extensive Thai menu with large portions. We tried 7 items and 3 apps between six of us. Everyone took food home. All dishes were excellent and unique. I would recommend and would go back or do takeout.

Yelp
As a native Thai, what I ordered should have been a slam dunk since they are typical street food : & . Instead the food were bland, dried and totally tasteless. The restaurant was in total chaos. Most of the waiters seem to be in hiding most of the time. Would never go there again.

Yelp
Food of excellent quality. Exceptional environment. The staff is friendly. Dishes are generously portioned. Good value for the price.
