The 12 Best Japanese Barbecue Restaurants in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"Almost all of Oreno's cuts are available either to order or in moderately priced "sets" that contain a certain portion of a given meat. Though the Kobe definitely looks more like American wagyu, it's hard to complain at the relatively fair price points for the 'cue. Most of the sides play more like straight-up Korean dishes (including the kimchi and hot stone bibimbap), but the inclusion of touches like miso-marinated Kobe chuck flap merit it a spot on this list." - Euno Lee

I'm not a fan of cooking my own food when I go out. Well I was finally convinced and I loved it! I'm the type of customer that likes to be brought food and the waiter can leave and never return and I will be happy. This is sort of how Oreno is your waiter is watching to see if you need anything and will be there the second you start looking around. But they let you enjoy your group and food without asking every 5 minutes if everything is okay. Must try!

Good food, I enjoyed it. Will definitely come back here to try the rest of the menu.

The place is really nice and quiet. The selection of meat was good too and it was also really delicious. I only wish that they had a better selection of drinks. They have a lot of alcoholic drinks and very few non-alcoholic ones to choose from. It was also pretty expensive for the amount of meat that you're given. All in all, I really enjoyed my time here!

Wow! I've never had such cute little xiao long bao soup dumplings. Perfectly textured, perfectly souped and amazingly delicious. With three of us we ordered something like 8 plates (a few too many desserts) but we were all thoroughly happy with everything. From the steamed veggies to the buns and baos and mochi desserts. Thank you!

We visit this place every year when we come to Los Angeles. My husbands favorite food is yakiniku. One steak plate is normally enough to make me full and it comes with a salad and miso soup. The meat is delicious and it's a fun experience to cook it yourself at the table. It's a little different to what I experienced in Japan where the meat is sliced thinner and marinates in different sauces and spices but I don't mind that it's different since it's so tasty.

Great food, great prices. Been here 4 or 5 times. Try the Berkshire pork and jidori chicken (miso is a good choice!). Happy hour is 99 cent beer!

Good food, good service. Most dishes include free drinks and dessert (scoop of ice cream) so it's a really good deal for the area.
