Oria

"Gastro-hotels are definitely on the rise thanks to their increasing popularity with international guests, and the strong emphasis on high-quality cuisine at the Monument hotel (which includes the three-Michelin-star Lasarte) is a perfect example of this.Incorporated into the hotel lobby, the Oria is a spacious, elegant and unique restaurant overseen by chef Martín Berasategui, hence the high standard of its updated take on traditional cuisine with its roots in the Mediterranean but with a nod to the Basque Country. Choose between three surprise tasting menus that vary in terms of their number of starters, but which always include a fish and meat dish and an exquisite dessert. The numerous staff here are young and highly efficient!" - Michelin Inspector

Barcelona’s Best Tasting Menus for Every Budget | Eater

"A one-Michelin-starred, hotel-based restaurant with menus shaped by the influence of Martín Berasategui and executed to suit guests’ budgets and preferences. Guests can choose a six-course menu for €65 or seven courses for €85, with dishes that might include creamy rice with Iberian ham and Idiazabal cheese or wild hake with clams and salsa verde. The lobby dining room is comfortable and polished without being snooty; same-day lunch bookings are possible, while dinners are best reserved about a week ahead." - Isabelle Kliger

Cozy n friendly restaurant with amazing food. From appetizer to dessert, including petit fours with coffee, everything doesn't go wrong. Especially the Hake, not only tasty but the presentation also wonderful. The roe deer loin was super tender and juicy. The service team is gorgeous. The guy who took a photo with me is funny (sorry, i forgot the name) and recommended the wines are perfect. The other is quite traditional and also knowledgeable. Both of them made us really enjoy our dinner.

We had the traditional menu which was amazing! The different courses were very well put together and each time, the flavors complemented each other nicely. The food was definitely of high quality and came with a fair price. The only thing that could use some improvement is the service. Overall, a very nice fine dining experience in a nice location.

The dinner started off well. My group elected for the Itsasmendi tasting menu. Throughout the course, it was very difficult to hear the servers describe what we were eating which led to people in our group having to check the menu on our phones. Even then, it was still unclear at times what were were eating. The first few courses were presented well and at a good pace. The fake tomato macaron (maybe?) was delicious. The foie with mushroom juice (maybe?) was a strange texture experience. The chocolate in textures dessert was wonderful though. At the beginning of the meal, the person who presented the menus stated the tasting menus would take approximately 2 hours. However, we were seated for almost 3 and a half hours! There were long periods of time between courses as the meal progressed. It almost felt as if they forgot about us? It also did not help that the restaurant became very hot towards the end of the meal. Two people in my group said that they felt like hostages because everything was taking so long and we were beginning to sweat. Overall, this was an interesting experience, but everyone in the group said they would not come back. Especially since there are so many other Michelin options in Barcelona.

Michelin star restaurant-> and it shows. I have never experienced anything like this before. When you walk in the host brings you to your table where various servers wait on you hand and foot. The tasting menu made my taste buds want to flutter. It was the most delightful food my friends and I have ever placed in our mouths. You must try their tasting menu. The dessert wine is a MUST as well. Special shout out to Paola and Wendy for making our night out in Barcelona extra special

My experience here was phenomenal despite the fact that I did not like some of the courses. Let me elaborate-- my palate hasn't acquired the taste for many flavors used widely in the restaurant business. For someone like me, eating a set course menu can be anxiety inducing since I have a limited range of food I can consume, but this was part of a birthday surprise for my spouse whose palate appreciates a wider spectrum of flavors. Many of the courses were delicious and such an exciting new experience for my palate! I also have to spotlight the complexity of the foams, sauces, garnishes, etc. with each plate which were really really good (it left me wanting more). Additionally, the plating was a work of art, the restaurant had limited seating so it was serene even at capacity, and the service was flawless (shout out to Abdul who gave a polished and exacting introduction of every single dish set on our table) -- all in all, it gave the feeling of indulgent luxury. The only constructive feedback is dessert: I was served two dessert courses and both had citrus. Only one dessert should have had citrus, two is overkill - even my spouse (who eats everything) didn't like the back to back citrus desserts. If you're a picky eater like me and want to experience a luxurious set course menu - try Oria; of course, you might not like all courses, but it's par for the course when you're a picky eater and I'd still recommend this restaurant as your palate will still dance around at some of the dishes.

Definitely wonderful dishes, unique flavours and beautifully put on the plate. All prepped gluten free, including tasty bread. Attentive staff!Absolutely worth a visit! I had the traditional menu, absolutely perfect was the tenderloin and dessert! 11/10 the rest also fantastic! But since it is a 1 star Michelin restaurant I dare to point out a little constructive feedback, which in a regular restaurant would be no point of critcism at all: I asked for gluten free a few times and was made sure it will be done, yet the waiter had to check with the kitchen after the first dish was served to make sure; the commentary from the staff about what was served on our plates was very indistinct (I didnt understand it all phonetically a lot of times), could be worth focusing on speaking clearly :) and a little more smile on the faces of some of the staff would be a nice benefit :) But again - a very nice experience.

Definitely one of the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. As a foodie, I tried many restaurant in multiple countries. Appetizers gave me a hint after the first bite, tasteless was the name of the game. They claim using truffle which was definitely artificial flavor. Cocktails were spectacular(the only thing I liked). Service was ok. When I got the bill, I’ve noticed getting charged for water(5 euro/person) for tap water, not even bottled water. Overall disappointing dining experience. Wondering how the restaurant was given Michelin star!

An experience and a journey through every course. This restaurant serves top quality food and drink but is not too formal or pretentious in any way. The staff all have their roles but can still hold a conversation on the food and how you are experiencing it as well as being courteous, polite and respectful. Excellent throughout. We had the business lunch which is very reasonably priced and there is plenty to taste. The wine list is more than comprehensive and the sommelier was excellent. The food is presented in a way that each course takes you through an intended spectrum. Just book, go and enjoy.
