The Best Chicken Wings in Oakland and the East Bay | Eater SF

"Popular Korean pub OB Town offers several varieties of crunchy Korean fried chicken that will leave you with sticky fingers. For a change of pace, try the grilled wings, which are served under a blanket of gochujang-laced hot sauce." - Janelle Bitker

The Best Korean Restaurants in the East Bay | Eater SF

"While some of the draw of this local favorite near the Oakland-Berkeley border can’t be replicated — the giant pitchers of Hite with a huge group of friends while K-Pop blares in the background — you can still get OB Chicken Town’s reliably good fried chicken to go. They are even still selling their buldak with cheese, which if you can get to it quick enough after ordering still has that alluring stretchiness. You can also get pub food classics like jokbal, which is marinated pork hock, to go. Call in or place your order online." - Noah Cho

The Best Fried Chicken in Oakland, Berkeley, and the East Bay | Eater SF

"Formerly known as the “Oriental BBQ Chicken Town,” this unassuming restaurant on Telegraph yields a hidden trove of crispy double-fried Korean fried chicken, available in various permutations — say, a sticky-sweet soy-garlic flavor or another that’s slathered with a fiery gochujang-based sauce. Even during the shelter in place, OB is open late. Call in or order online for takeout or delivery." - Luke Tsai

The best hole in the wall Korean fried chicken place! Yang-nyum chicken, tteokbokki, and corn cheese all the way.

This is some bomb Korean fried chicken. The sweet and spicy is very saucy. The garlic soy is more of a dry rub but still really deep flavors. I expected wings so I was a bit surprised to find out these were boneless. But they were thighs, thankfully, and were cooked to perfection. Tender, moist, and tasty. I had to slow myself down to better enjoy them. Pretty decent portions too considering the price of an order.

This place is absolutely amazing! I don't even know where to start!  So first off, it is very nice to find a restaurant that has its own parking. There is indoor and outdoor seating for dining. The day we went, there was only one lady doing all the work. She was super nice! She had multiple tables she was helping and delivery orders. She was not only the cook, but also the waitress, busser, dishwasher, and she worked the register and answered the phone. She really did it all. Items were brought out at the perfect timing, as if this were a super fancy restaurant. So after ordering, the first thing brought out was cubed pickled dikon and a thinly sliced salad. The salad tasted like it had thousand island dressing on it. It was very crisp and fresh tasting. As we were about half way done with the salad, our side dish came out which was Corn and Cheese. Honestly, we did not know what to expect with it. It came out sizzling and was super delish. The corn was very sweet and had a nice crunch amongst the cheesy cheese. Our main dish then came out and was the Yang Nyum chicken. She had said she accidentally had some extra chicken made so she put it on our dish to try; our plate was delivered to the table with our Yang Nyum, 2 pieces of BBQ Chicken, and a couple pieces of Fried Chicken. Our main order was absolutely amazing! If you have never had Korean fried chicken before, this place is a must eat. The chicken has a nice crispy outside that holds the sauce very well. The inside is perfectly done while being nice, tender, and juicy. The fried chicken was the exact same, except had a honey mustard dipping sauce that was really good. The honey mustard dipped sauce tasted homemade. We also tried the BBQ chicken. It was boned in and very sweet and delicious. We would order any of these three chicken dishes again. With the nice staff of one who could do it all, the nice decor, and absolutely amazing food, this is a place we definitely would go back to and reccomend to our friends.

Everything here was perfect. We got the cheese buldak and Yang yum Chicken and everything was made to order. Amazingly fresh and delicious chicken with some cold beer. They ice the glasses and your beer is cold, giving you a little layer of fresh slush ice on top as you take your first sip with some spicy chicken. the best Korean Fried Chicken in the area!

Amazing juicy Korean fried chicken. A whole order is a lot of chicken I recommend to get half and half of a flavor per order. Corn cheese is a must get also super hot and tasty. (Not pictured) I got the spicy and the garlic soy. 3rd picture is the fried garlic calamari. The lady there is super sweet

The fried chicken portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and helpful. Full soju cocktail list and a few beers on tap. OB and Hite by the bottle. A handful of booths adorn the windows of the building and some large wood tables fill the middle space. Great place for a meal and drink with friends. We had spicy chicken feet that were really good and really hot.

Came here during happy hours on a sun. shortly before 9pm. Waiter was hospitable and gave us happy hour prices which was just starting. Environment was casual with wooden benches. Felt like a cavern theme in here. Aside from the loud glaring K-pop music it was very comfortable place. Food was good. Chicken pieces came out too saucy for my taste. Maybe better to get the chicken without sauce. Other platters we're good like the tteokboki and the corn and cheese dish.

Ate here on 7.22.2022 Friday night. Great Korean fried chicken and pork katsu. The corn cheese dumplings were tasty appetizers as well.

Delicious fried chicken and budae jjigae/army stew! We got the soy garlic and yangnyeom sauce (sweet and spicy) for the chicken. Both were great.
