I wanted a vegan meal to take with me on my flight to El Paso. I ordered the BBQ jackfruit quesadilla.......PHENOMENALICIOUS!!!!! I also had the sea moss mint tea and it was great. I have found my new spot whenever I visit. The owner was pleasant and informative. The other customers were entertaining to speak with as I waited for my food lol. Highly recommend this place!😊😊👍🏾👍🏾.

I had the Jackfruit Burger and it was phenomenal. The owner was really cool and helpful. He even took time out to discuss the types of foods we should avoid. I purchased a box of cereal from there as well. I'll definitely be going back!

My son and I enjoyed our lunch. He had the pulled bbq jackfruit sandwich and I had the quesadilla, fried cauliflower, and hibiscus tea. Everything was made fresh to order and was absolutely amazing. All other guests present also raved about their food! We have tried other local vegan spots and this is the best. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the BBQ Jackfruit Pulled Burger, it came with Nachos. Y’all it was so freaking good and flavorful. I was being impressed, as I was on the phone I just kept bragging about how good it was. You wouldn’t even know it was jackfruit. So tasty. My lil picture won’t do it justice. But I do plan on going back to try it again or some other stuff. The side of nachos they give you, those were delicious as well.

It took me a while to write this review, but I haven’t eaten at this place in years. I literally almost died from eating here; I blew up like a puffer fish. The pictures of me are horrible! This has killed my whole vegan eating-out experience. I’m a vegetarian who cooks religiously now, but the atmosphere has a good vibe, and the staff is welcoming. I just couldn’t shake back. Absolutely the best vegan food I've had. Seasoning is perfect, electric plate : oyster mushrooms , wild rice, salad and plantains. Second dish curry chickpea soup, classic burger combo with fries. Hibiscus tea

The vegan quesadilla was no good. It had like no cheese in it, at all! Also hardly anything else in it either. I had it with the original sausage, did not taste good. The vegan chicken salad sandwich was ok; prefer the mock chicken salad at whole foods.

Everytime I go its 5 star food service and atmosphere. They've been a top shelf vegan restaurant favorite for over 3 years. Last time I ate there I got the better than Popeyes chicken sandwich and I couldn't understand how it got to be even better tasting than last time I had it

I enjoyed a delicious, vegan, lunch at Original Thought. The cauliflower wings are really good, the "chicken" sandwich was delicious. The chefs were incredibly friendly and made my day. Will definitely be back.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while. I got the "better than Popeyes" sandwich with cauli wings. They were pretty good although the edges of my bun were burned. I liked the cauliflower better than the sandwich. I will say they took a really long time making my order. The cashier was nice and friendly. If you visit, it's kind of hard to find as it's a food truck in a back lot, make note that it's on the back side of the listed address. I'd probably return to try other items on the menu.

First time trying the oyster mushrooms and I want them again. My trip to the food truck was two fold, one to pick up a container of seamoss I ordered and two to score some delicious vegan food. I am not a vegan but often enjoy it and this was delicious. I ordered the Electric plate for $12 and my only disappointment was it should have come with butternut squash and that had been replaced with some type of greens. They were delicious just wish i had been told of the swap was looking forward to the squash, other than that the food was amazing and the service was great. One little trick, the address Leeds's you to a building on Agriculture street with a cheesecake food truck nextt to it, this food truck is behind the building and you have to drive around. This truck has the possibility to end up on my toP 20 of 2020 restaurants. Can't wait for another visit.

I ordered the hot sausage sub and it was so good! I'm upset I didn't order two! It had just the right amount of heat, and was very flavorful! I could be wrong, but I think it was made with quinoa? Whatever it was, it was well seasoned and prepared. Bolingo took the orders and chatted with customers as we waited. We didn't wait long before the food was ready. Quick, hot and delicious plant-based food is in the neighborhood! They also deliver on waitr, but only on Fridays. I will definitely be a regular here! He also sells groceries, so pick up some ingredients while you wait. The parking lot is pretty small, but you should be able to find street parking. Once you walk into the building, turn to your right, walk towards the large open space, and the window to order food is straight back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie wrap (executed more like a quesadilla, but who cares) chock full of bell papers, onions, and squash. There was a zest to the melted cheese that I also enjoyed. The space was cool, also. Picnic tables in a yard in front of gym felt welcoming and quaint. Be sure to note that you enter on Florida avenue and not actually Agriculture Street. It's actually a food truck. Finally, the gentleman who took my order was nice and caring. When I asked about whether the truck would stay open during the upcoming storm, he said that " we will be here for the community." Can't wait to go back.

First time finally trying Original Thought I'm big on customer service and it was great good customer service always bring a customer back! I ordered a chili dog, vegan burger and Hibiscus juice The "vegan meat" of the chili dog was something I could get out of the store those Italian links.... The chili was good made out of quinoa the bread was soft and warm but the link didn't give it that chili dog taste it through it off The burger was aright it tasted like a beyond burger... the juice was pretty good tho, I wonder what some of your most favorite meals are because business be booming I'd like to try some of the other foods out. Any recommendations would help,

I first saw Original Thought on Instagram and the vegan/veggie friendly food looked good so decided to check them out. after eating the food and talking with the owner, this is now one of my favorite places to eat in the city. the better than popeyes sandwich and the wings were excellent. the macaroni bowl was alright but overall the food is good, tasty, and decently priced

This place is delicious! I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. I had the breakfast burrito with spicy sausage. It was delicious! Also everyone was so nice. They got pretty busy, so it took awhile to get the food, but it was so worth it!!!! I recommend calling ahead to to order, if you can.

The only reason I would not bring a friend visiting NOLA here is that there would be nothing to talk about: the food is that good. It deserves silence. I was going to watch a show while I munched on some plantains and wild rice (their self-proclaimed house special, the Electric Plate) but my first bite of soft, succulent plantain had me shutting my laptop. The oyster mushrooms were divine; if the batter was a little soggy by the time I got home, that may have been a result of how late I was getting there (see below). The stir-fry veggie wild rice had that umami flavor. By the time I scooped up their Swiss chard, I was lost to the meal. As a new-to-New Orleans vegan, I will definitely be hitting up this place regularly. I got a little lost on the way--note to future diners, there are two food trucks, and theirs is the one facing Florida--but a kind, patient voice on the other end of the line directed me there. Great service to boot!

Took my parents here on their last visit to New Orleans and their chicken salad sandwich turned them onto the magic Bolingo does with jackfruit! The classic mushroom burger is so tasty you'll never wanna go back to eating a regular burger again. Great place for people transitioning into vegetarian or vegan diets who want that fix. The electric plate is amazing with the oyster mushrooms and greens as my favorite features. The Mintmoss tea is so refreshing and keeps you energized throughout the day with all the vitamins and minerals. I am and will continue to be a regular If you try em, you will become a regular too! Very reasonably priced, won't break your bank, so you can tip the hard workers extra!!!

Was visiting New Orleans this past week and stopped by for some takeout. The nachos were YUM!! Cheese made with butternut squash and chili with quinoa. The chili flavor was spot on!! Also got the jackfruit chicken salad which was good too, but I can't stop thinking about the nachos! Was excited to see a new place like serving up some plant based love!

Yesterday I was passing through Louisiana, looked up jackfruit tacos (natural foods) via Yelp and came across Original thoughts Herban Market (cafe). The Clerk at checkout was really polite, thoughtful, helpful and knowl·edge·a·ble!!! He turned me onto the Clover App explained how I can earn credit points & Save money, Cool! What I loved the most about this Cafe, is how the meals are prepared "cooked to order." The food and service was outstanding! I rate this cafe, a well deserved "Five Star!"

Their food is amazing. I haven't had such great vegan food in a while. I was visiting New Orleans on business and ate their 2 days in a row. I had their burrito which was very flavorful with the spicy sausage. Also, I had their gumbo which now I never want to eat regular gumbo again. Definitely, a must when I go back to New Orleans. Oh, and their Irish moss tea and hibiscus teas are great as well.

Truly enjoy the food. The portion size could be a little bigger. I'm not a big eater, but I've been to this food truck 4-5 times and ate everything. The only downfall is that I'm still hungry afterwards. The hotdogs are delicious, but small so I recommend 2 or even 3 LOL. The jackfruit salad is really good. My favorite is the fried quinoa and fried cauliflower. Don't really care for the gumbo, but all and all still good. Just not the flavor notes I was expecting.

My first impression I was a bit iffy because the sign was hanging down and the location was a bit on the rough side;however after tasting the food i was BLOWN AWAY the "meat" is taste so real. The jack fruit is amazing the bbq is amazing and the hot dogs are to die for!! Im an aspiring vegan so its nice to have something like this thas quick and tasty. My only problem is that they dont give you enough cheese even after payin for extra it still was barely there. Overall good tho.

I just completed an herbal detox cleanse to hopefully heal some of my MS symptoms. I am knowledgeable about Vegan diets and hope to maintain one as best I am able but Vegan take out will definitely be my friend. After a search for LOCAL VEGAN TAKEOUT I found Bolingo's and called. To whoever the gentleman was who took my call yesterday afternoon YOUR VOICE and helpfulness made the decision I was driving from uptown to wherever Bolingo's was located! It was about a 25 min drive at 4:30 but worth every mile. Bolingo's is located in a sort of cool friendly community center. As soon as I opened the door, the smell of DELISH food overwhelmed me. There was a very talented boy taking drum lessons in another room and a line of interesting, very friendly people waited in line. The menu is so creative: vegan mock chicken salad on a roll, mock chili dog, gumbo, nachos ALL vegan, no meat or animal products! I was fortunate to be able to talk to the wife of Bolingo who couldn't be more welcoming or informative. She spent at least 10 minutes just talking to me about herbs and healing. Oh..do yourself a favor a get a large Hibiscus Tea. I drank 2 waiting for my food. The mock chicken salad was so delicious I am going back ASAP for another one!!! Thank you Bolingo's for being my new VEGAN take out place!!
