Where to Order Food for Hanukkah 2023 - Eater Boston

"Modern Jewish deli Our Fathers — which was recently revived in Fenway following its 2022 closure in Allston — is offering a dozen crispy potato latkes with sides of sour cream and Granny Smith applesauce ($36) for takeout and delivery for the duration of Hanukkah. The latkes will be available for online ordering here starting on December 6." - Erika Adams

Where To Eat And Drink In Allston

"Our Fathers is sort of like the Jewish deli version of a gastropub. That is to say it’s got a menu filled with pastrami and smoked fish, but you’ll be eating it in a place that feels more like a 1950s airport lounge than a greasy diner with racks of potato chips and framed pictures of old-timey New York on the wall. They do have a small take-out operation on the side for sandwiches, but you should come here for a sit-down meal to also enjoy their cocktails and selection of draft beers." - dan secatore

Our Fathers Deli Review - Allston - Boston - The Infatuation

"Our Fathers is one part Jewish deli, one part mid-century modern lounge, and one part gin cellar. Which of these parts most appeals to you obviously depends on a lot of things about your personality that - until we spend some time bonding, getting in and out of a little trouble, and making memories - we can only guess at. But the total package works. There’s a tiny take-out counter that works if you just want some pastrami or corned beef sandwiches, but you really should come here for a sit-down meal and some lamb meatballs." - Dan Secatore

Our Fathers is back and killing it- Had a Rachel and it was better than any other I’ve had. Hefty serving of pastrami was delicious, soft bread stood up and made a great ratio with the fillings. Tried the dip sampler too - no complaints, everything was super fresh and yummy. The Staff was super friendly, and the drinks looked delicious - I’ll try them when I come back.

I ordered delivery, and it's honestly the best delivery I've had in a long time. It seemed a little pricey at first, but the portions are huge, and the quality is so good that it's worth the money. The Italian is basically three sandwiches. The smashed cucumber salad was so good. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to stop by and eat in soon.

Back again! The manager mike took great care of me this time! I got the Brisket Steak and cheese it was a good sandwich but the beef just made the sandwich so good! But the star of the show was definitely the carrot cake! The best carrot cake i've ever had 100% recommend it.

My friends and I loved Our Fathers’ brunch when the restaurant was in Allston and were very excited to go back today. However, upon showing up, the restaurant was closed, lights off, no signs, nothing on website or social media. Please - if you’re not open, update *something* so patrons know to dine elsewhere.

I had an okay sandwich and an okay drink here with a group of 3. My waitress was great, but then I got home and realized they double charged me. I went back and talked to the waitress again and she was very apologetic and involved her manager to refund me. They told me the refund would be back in a few days... it wasn't. When I called back to ask about it, the manager told me the waitress had double charged me because she said the 4th person at my table dined and dashed. There were only 3 of us and our receipt showed 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks!!! What???

This has to be literally the most disgusting ruben/sandwich I have ever had. The meat is cheap processed trash. It is stangely sweet and tastes nothing like a Ruben does. For 23 bucks I expected a legit Ruben not the grease pile I got with an awful pickle. My wife's steak and cheese was more of the same. Garbage meat and cheese wiz. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. It killed me to throw $50+ worth of food into the garbage after taking two bites and would hope someone else doesn't have to feel the same sting.
