"Maybe Lighthouse sounds good to you, but you aren’t in Williamsburg. If you happen to be near Nolita, you can go to Lighthouse Outpost - their tiny space on Mulberry with food as good as the original. If you’re by yourself (or maybe with one other person), come for lunch and eat a chicken bowl with coconut rice and a bunch of fresh herbs that will make you wonder why you don’t eat more herbs. And maybe split a burger with someone. The one here is also really good." - hannah albertine, bryan kim
"The people behind in Williamsburg also own this tiny spot in Nolita. It’s mostly a to-go business, and everything on the menu is excellent - from the chicken bowl with herbs and coconut rice to the “Big Salad” with all kinds of sliced vegetables. (If you decide to ditch the salad thing altogether, there’s also a great burger.) Stop by and pick up some lunch or dinner the next time you need exceptional takeout in the area." - bryan kim, matt tervooren
"We’ve occasionally joked about doing a “best salads in New York City” list, and if we ever do, the Big Salad at Lighthouse Outpost is going near the very top. It’s basically just a big salad with gem lettuce and snap peas and sesame seeds and it makes you feel like you’re making good choices in your life. This is the Nolita sister location of Lighthouse, one of our favorite Williamsburg restaurants, and the menu is full of fresh, kind of healthy options in bowl and sandwich form. It’s a small space with counter seating, but it’s also a major takeout operation." - hillary reinsberg
"Under Guidara and Humm's leadership the NoMad restaurants flourished; I found the New York outpost attracted critical acclaim for dishes like its rendition of a whole roast chicken, and its cocktail program garnered plenty of attention — the NoMad was named the top bar in North America in 2017 by World's 50 Best. Humm further alleges that Sydell continued to use the trade secrets and intellectual property developed to create the restaurants after he left, and he is suing to enforce a settlement or recover outstanding management fees." - Erika Adams
